Animal I have become (Kiandra and Dogged)

New York gleamed in the dark. Lights lit up the nightlife of the city. To most, it was a city of dreams. To those who have seen or experienced the darkness residing within, those dreams are nothing but nightmares, the city of a thousand lights tarnished and dimmed.

Rebecca Blaine hurried along, looking back often to see how far she was, and if she was actually getting away. Once bitten, twice shy... as the saying goes, but she was Once shy, Twice bitten. Her mind flashbacked to that night, which would taunt her for the rest of her life.

Rebecca's walked down the stairs of the Law firm she worked at as a secretary to her car. She looked around realizing she was alone in the small parking lot, her boss having left hours ago. She had stayed behind, having to finish some paperwork for a case for the following morning. She quickly checked her cell, finding that it was past one in the morning. From a shadow near her SUV came a growl, and she immediately tensed. Her eyes searched the inky blackness, but of course couldn't find the source. On her keychain, a bottle of Mace hung, which she pointed towards the shadow. That seemed to anger it, and it attacked.

Rebecca only remembered seeing a flash of something big covered in fur before being blinded by a pain in her mid-section. When she awoke, she found herself in the care of a man who had blown all her previous conceptions of city-life out of the water.

There was a thriving population of WEREWOLVES, and she was now one of them.

At first, she had denied it, calling him crazy, but as the days passed she had learned the truth. Now, with a tentative relationship with the male werewolf, who incidently, caused all her hormones to perk up and drool, she began learning from him.

She looked back, searching over her shoulders for the tall male, smirking as she found him looking straight at her before using the crowd to disappear. Her hiking boots, which were caked with drying mud, helped her keep her balance, though she would have to try this with her usual five-inch stilleto heels. She only wore a black tank-top and denim shorts, her lower legs also caked with mud, which contrasted harshly against her pale skin. Long black hair, streaked with midnight purple highlights, was held up in a genie ponytail, keeping it out of her face. If it weren't for the shoes, she would have fit in with the club scene, though the shoes weren't that out of place either.

She slipped through a crowd of people, grabbing a jacket off the ground, wrinkling her nose at the smell of stale sweat before covering her body with it, trying to hide her scent from Taln. She scented the air quickly, making sure he was not near her before moving onwards.

"Catch me if you can..." She whispered to herself as she suddenly changed directions within the crowd, using them as a cover, which was quite easy seeing as she was only five foot four inches. She slipped out of the crowd, next to a hidden doorway, panting as she thought of her objective.

'Reach the cafe before he catches you.'

She looked over a small map, looking entirely too touristy, and found she was only a couple of blocks away. She was much closer than she had ever gotten before. Maybe tonight.... just maybe, she might actually win this game.

Rebecca growled as she realized she still had two blocks to go. She folded up her map and searched for Taln. She froze when she realized she had lost him. She began scenting the air, trying to discover where he had gone.

She couldn't find his scent so she moved quickly. She hurried through the crowd, slipping easily through the people. She smirked to herself, knowing that those people, most of them at least, had no idea they were walking with predators.

The cafe was within her sights and she slowed for a second. She again scented the air, checking to see where Taln was. She didn't scent him anywhere and guessed he hadn't reached the cafe yet. She grinned and walked in.

When she finally realized she had gotten here before Taln had caught her, she celebrated quietly and sat down at a booth. She sat with her back to the wall, her eyes glowing dully, and looked around.

While she waited, she ordered a coffee. It was only a ten minute wait, Taln made his way to the cafe quickly. She smiled at him from her spot. She already knew that he knew where she was, simply because of her scent.

She looked up at him as he sat across from her, and asked, "So what's next? What am I going to learn about?" In her eyes, was the happiness and exuberance of a child learning new things.

As she looked him over, her hormones sitting up and panting, like a Bitch in heat. That thought brought another thought to her, how would werewolves... have Sex? Did they do it the way humans did it? Or did they have the same equipment as their canine compatriots?

She looked up at him, head tilted as she puzzled it out within her own mind.

Rebecca's watched him with eyes obviously filled with lust. The ease he moved with was envious, and she quickly noticed she wasn't the only female to notice the masculine alpha making his way towards her. She stamped down on the jealous growl trying to erupt from her throat as she thought to herself, 'Mine!'

She shook her head as he sat, and gave him a wicked smile as she wrestled her hormones under control. She felt her thighs quiver as he leveled that potent gaze of his on her and she nearly came just from that one look. The man should come with a warning.

She listened quietly as he explained about the coffee. Indeed she had already learned this, more from experience, and her nose was already beginning to loose scents. She could hardly smell the delicious male body in front of her, though she could still faintly catch his scent.

"When can we start?" She asked happily, a smile curving her plump pink lips. She had decided against make-up tonight, seeing as she herself could hardly stomach the smell of it anymore. The chemicals within nearly caused her to gag the first time she had tried on make-up after her change and Taln had found her in the bathroom dry heaving while trying to wipe it off. Incidently, that was when she learned about coffee.

Rebecca's noticed his obvious signal about the jacket and threw it into a nearby trash. She shuddered visibly as she rubbed her arms, trying to get the scent off her, but knew she would have to take a good hot shower when she got home. She looked back up at Taln as she took a sip from her own coffee.

At his questions, she thought for a second before answering, "The scent of death is a great deterent to animals. It warns them to stay away. Most animals follow that rule. The mud masks my own scent so that the other scent could overpower it. I backtracked because I was up-wind from you and I needed to get down-wind. That way I could keep an eye on your scent while also allowing my scent to blow away from you." She looked up as she said the last bit, wondering if she was forgetting anything.

As she saw his perusal of her, she felt her body become alert. Dear lord what this man... Beast was doing to her was ridiculous. True she had felt desire before, but it seemed so TAME compared to her desire for Taln now. Her body was ready for him, moistening her silk thong as she shifted in her seat, trying to keep it from him. She knew that if they were aroused enough, the scent would fill the air, and she did Not need a scene in the cafe, though she was sure it would answer her questions about werewolf sex.

Rebecca smirked as she looked at Taln. He seemed amused at her growling and she simply looked at the women sending him looks. Her eyes rolled and she turned her attention to what he was saying.

"I can see that happening. Humans are so afraid of death aand what they don't understand. I used to be that way. The mind plays tricks on you and what was once just a shadow turns into a predator." She said in response to his death scent saying.

She saw his eyes burn as it followed the curved line of her body. She took a breath, trying very hard to get her body under control, knowing that her scent was filling the small space between them. He looked about ready to pounce and ravish her on top of the table. She was about ready to allow him, forgetting about the people surrounding them.

"If you can intimidate, it means half the battle is won. When your prey is scared, they make mistakes, making them easier to catch. When a predator is intimidated, they may decide it isn't worth it to fight." She spoke quietly, nodding to show she understood. She took the last sip of her coffee as he looked at her. If he kept looking at her that way, it would soon be apparent that her nipples were tightening underneath her shirt. He would know that she was NOT wearing a bra.

The two stood, and she felt a rush between her legs, and she very nearly escaped to the bathroom to clean herself off, but was thankful that she wasn't that wet. She nodded to show she had heard his question then watched as he moved ahead of her, a musclebound body that she was desperate to make hers.

For a second, she had a nearly irresistible urge to mark him, to see her teeth marks low on his neck, smell her scent mixing with his. She shook her head quickly, dissolving the thoughts.

They walked down the street, Rebecca following him into the large dark parking garage. She froze, old memories flashing before her as she remembered her attack, but she pushed through it, shivering as they entered.

"Parking garages amplifies sound. So something very quiet will sound a lot louder. The disadvantage is that noise bounces around, if you are running from someone, it's an advantage, but otherwise..." She trailed off as she looked over at him. Her own voice echoed around and she tilted her head, trying to catch it. It felt so weird.

Rebecca twisted quickly at the sound to the left, searching as she heard Taln disappear. She growled low in her throat, taking a quick sniff. That of course did no good. The coffee had completely made her nose ineffective. She sighed before crouching, staying quiet and still as she looked through the gloom.

What she didn't know was that her scent had gotten stronger, much stronger as she crouched. The scent made its way around the parking garage. She moved, wincing as the sound of the gravel under her hiking boots. She easily slipped out of them, moving silently on her bare socked feet.

She walked past a couple columns, silent as she cocked her head to listen to the faint sounds around her. She froze as she heard a breath nearby but waited a bit. The echo faded away and she began moving again. Her eyes caught sight of an elevator and she came to an abrupt stop. Her head tilted to the side as she heard some quiet noises coming from in front of her. Instinctively she moved to the left, hiding in front of a column, looking for anything that might signify that Taln was nearby.

Her head turned and she closed her eyes to try and pinpoint the noise. This was harder than she had thought it would be.

Rebecca stood close to the pillar, enjoying the small respite of the howling wind. She hated wind, and Taln knew that, but she sighed and hunkered down, lowering the sound of the wind and amplifying the noise of the garage itself. It seemed as though they were the only ones in the garage, and she was thankful for that. She slipped towards another pillar, staying close to the ground, and had to frown as she realized either Taln had stopped moving, or he was no longer on her level. She could no longer hear the slight vibration made by his movements.

As she moved for another vantage point, the car door slammed shut, jolting her into movement, as she sprinted to a pillar and pressed her back against it. She really hoped that Taln had set a trap for her, because otherwise, it would mean that there was either a human in their midst, or another predator. She took a glance around, and once she had figured out the general direction of the noise, headed that way.

She was displeased to discover that she could no longer scent Taln's tantalizing smell. The coffee was truly doing it's job, and the high wind of the area was doing the rest of it. She sighed to herself, growling in displeasure as she stopped beside an old beat up car that had seen better years. She looked around, and then again crouched, trying to hear even a simply noise to show her the way. She hated this exercise...

The collision, caused her to fall forward, but she used her training to good use, using the momentum to twist around and roll on the ground, snarling up at him as she fought back, the wolf in here taking the forefront of her mind. She growled at him playfully, and slid out of his grasp, as she was smaller, and then pounced on him again, a deep growl emanating from her throat as she tried to subdue him, although she had no real thought that she would actually win.

She was slammed down, and she looked up at him, amber eyes glowing as she took deep breaths, her breasts lifting higher with each breath, as she caught her breath and energy. There was a shift in the air, and the scent of her arousal filled the space between them, although she was suddenly thankful for the wind around them, because it lessened her scent.
