After the war with the demons, humans are almost wiped out. It happened so fast, and they were just too powerful for the humans to counter. Sure they existed in the world before, but it was like the gates of hell opened and they charged out under the rule of their queen. After the fight, what was left of the humans moved to a small island to the south. Demons try to attack them, but due to how dense the human population is on the island, they became overpowered and left the island alone. Since then, there have been a few skirmishes here and there, but nothing like the war in the beginning. Since then, there has a stalemate, where neither side can move forward, although humans assumed it was only a matter of time.

In recent years, hope began to arise for the human race. A demon hunter has appeared out of seemingly nowhere and began attacking demons successfully. Witnesses say that he cuts through demons as if they were paper, although a normal man breaks his sword against demon skin. People began to wonder if he used a blessed sword. Others think he has unearthly powers he uses against the demons. Some say he's a demon himself, turning his back on his own kind. Whoever this man is, the human race agrees that he is their one hope for survival.

Trevor was that hero. He was just an ordinary human, nothing quite special to him, or at least that's what he thought of himself. Raised to battle by his father when he was young, he grew up learning how to fight with different weapons, as well as unarmed. Whenever he cut up demons, his blade went through them like it was nothing, and yet other's couldn't do the same. It was something he found odd. According to his father, he had a dream before his son's birth. In the dream, and angel appeared to him, telling him that his son was the chosen one, the one that will save the humans by ending the demon queen's life. Trevor didn't really believe the story himself, but it sort of explained why he was able to cut down demons.

Since he started his quest, he began to make a name for himself. Saving towns and citizens from demon attacks. Defending traveling merchants from ambushes by lesser demons. He even took out a couple of powerful demons, one of them used magic. With his strong sense of justice, he vowed to end the battle against the demons and take back the land that was lost to the humans.

After weeks of traveling, he was deep into enemy territory. If he was going to end the demon queen's life, he at least needed to know what she looked like. There was one place he could go to possibly find out. The Baron was a demon that attacked human villages regularly, everyone feared him. If he could get information from the Baron, that would surely help him on his quest.

Trevor finally arrived to the Baron's home, more like a fortress. Guards posted everywhere, the only option he really had was to burst in, head on. He charged into the fortress, taking out every demon he came across, hoping to reach the Baron soon.

There had been rumors going around that a there was a human capable of killing her servants without any problems. Normally Lilith would ignore these kind of rumors. They would be exaggerated and most of the time just existed to give the puny humans a bit of hope. Yet unlike the normal rumors, this one was tenacious and kept on returning. This time she even heard people talking that this human would come after her. Which was kind of funny because no human exactly knew how she looked like. She had made sure that every human to ever come across her would keep his mouth shut. Meaning they all ended up in a pile of dust.

In normal cases, she would chose a champion to investigate the rumors and get rid of everyone responsible of starting them. Though seeing the magnitude of the rumor, she decided she would investigate herself. That’s why for the first time in years she left her own castle. Not wanting to attract unwanted attention, she didn’t take any guards with her. Her trusted lieutenants all said she was crazy to travel alone. But to her a large party would only take in unwanted attention. Heck even the humans would get word of this if she would ride out with a small army surrounding her.

So instead of painting a bull’s eye on herself, she just traveled in her own. Besides what would happen to her? She was the strongest demon alive. Her power and magic was unrivaled with her own people. So what would one puny little human be able to do to her. Just thinking about it made her laugh. There was no way anybody would be able to defeat her. So she would take care of this little rumor as quickly as possible, breaking the humans hopes once again.

Now she only had to find him, which was a problem. A nasty thing about rumors was, they exaggerate things. Because of that, she had no idea how this human looked like. Heck they all looked the same to her. Little annoying pests that do nothing but whine and cry. Thus if she wanted to find one of them amongst a group, she had to get help. And there was one person who had fought the humans more the she had. He would be able to point her in the right direction. So she set out to the Baron’s house.

She had arrived a few minutes ago and now was waiting to meet with him when suddenly there was a lot of commotion going on. As she had been brought to the large hall, probably in order to make an impression on her with the wealth on display, she was left out of the loop. Standing up she was about to make her way to the front, demanding to know what was happening when the Baron entered to room out of breath.
“My Queen, he’s here! The one you came to look is standing outside. You really are blessed with great fortune my Queen.” He said with a smile as he bowed in front of her.

She herself was smiling because of this. It seemed that she could put an end to it as quickly as she had hoped.
“My Queen, why don’t you let me take care of this? I mean he’s just another maggot. You shouldn’t dirty your hands with something like that. So please stay here and relax.” The baron suggested. She knew it was just him showing off, trying to make an impression on her to improve his standing. But she liked this kind of behavior.
“Good, go and make it quick.” She said, sitting back down in the chair.

Trevor charged in, cutting down every demon in his path. As the horde grew thicker and thicker, he knew that he was moving in closer onto the Baron. There was no stopping now. Not much longer, and he'll get the answer he's been looking for. Finally, he'll be able to find out the identity of the demon queen, and after that, he'll end her life.

As he charged into the throne room, the Baron was there awaiting his arrival. "Fear for your life Baron, for I will end your life today." Trevor leaped onto the large demon and started cutting into him. Like other demons, his blade cut through him like nothing, but this demon was more resilient. He got thrown off, but quickly got back on his feet to attack once more. He was unrelenting to the demon, not wanting him to get a single chance to attack.

He had the Baron pinned down to the ground. "Alright. Before I end your life, I'm going to need you to answer a couple of questions." Maybe an ordinary demon would give in and answer, but this was the Baron. Unless he was a huge coward deep down, he won't simple give him an answer. He'll have to convince him. "Now, tell me who your queen is, and where is she?" He took out a small knife and began to give small cuts to the demon's body. It seemed like nothing at first, but he knew after a while, it gets much worse.
