Two ideas I'm currently craving

The Lady Boss

Nicole Vukovar has climbed a bloody ladder out of suburban poverty to grotesque wealth, winning her place as chieftain of a Serbian Mafija clan in control of Sydney's crime scene. A ruthless desire to do anything it takes saw her rise from streetkid, to stripper, to trophy wife of one of the country's most dangerous men. After she engineered his early 'accidental' demise, Nicole took over his business and removed any who protested a woman becoming so powerful in the Mafija. Now she rules as a mob queen, feted in the media and feared by her enemies, a long way from her humble beginnings. Yet her reign is far from secure, and danger menaces her from many angles. It could be a handsome undercover cop, a jealous underling, her late husband's vengeful family, or a sadistic rival. While I have a firm idea of the character all sorts of storylines are possible, ranging from dark romance to outright degradation. But whatever turn her life takes, Nicole will not be brought to her knees without a fight!

The Devil And Miss Swift

This is a twist on the old Svengali story, although in this case the 'corrupter' figure will be literally some kind of infernal entity - perhaps even Lucifer himself. Taking over as her new manager he begins to steer her life and career in a much darker direction than previously. There would be a strong corruption theme as she descends into scandal and sensation, with the agent of it all watching on with pleasure. My specific choice for this was Taylor Swift, or a least a character based upon her; but there are lots of possibilities here so all ideas are welcomed. Think of it as "A Star Is Born" meets "The Witch"!

This takes place in a world that's closer to 'Watchmen' than more conventional comics; only a few 'superheroes' have actual powers and the rest are just well-trained people with excellent publicity. Many of them are celebrities with their own 'reality TV' shows, like the Glory Fox, who is as much a media identity as a costumed crimefighter. Everything on her show is scripted, all the villains are actors, and it's all fake despite the "reality" premise. But the viewers are starting to turn off, and the studio begins to tire of her diva-ish, arrogant and demanding behaviour. In a new twist of the ongoing narrative, they decide to set Glory up to fail. She goes into battle against an actual villain and is soundly defeated, then humiliated and violated on camera - as the studio rakes in the ratings and scandalous publicity, and the world watches her downfall live in lurid detail...

Basically this is a classic "defeated superheroine" story, but with something of a meta twist! It would be relatively short in length, as we work to create a spectacularly awful final episode for the hapless Glory. Her entire character is up for development too; beyond a few basic parameters she could be fashioned into whatever kind of costumed heroine you like. Initially I chose Paris Hilton as the faceclaim because her popular persona suit the original concept, but these days any equally glamorous blonde would work as well. So feel free to mention any ideas you may have, or indulge yourself playing a would-be bulletproof barbie!​
