In the beginning the humans and mythical beings lived together, learning from one another and trading amongst themselves. Some say the humans only dealt with the creatures because they were scared of them, that if the humans made the creatures angry, they would just tear the humans to pieces and make them a thing of the past. But as stories go, what one person says, another denies. It was when Great Britain tried to rule the world that the Mythics started to feel pushed, the humans had weapons, other then spears and knives. Though percussion guns weren't as affective against the Mythics, they could still do harm to the smaller beings. Though it wasn't the weapons the Mythics were scared of, or even threatened by, it was the fact that the humans were pushing them closer and closer to the edge of the forest.

When Columbus discovered the new world, what they don't tell you in the text books, is that he hated Mythics. His view of the new world only saw humans ruling the lands, Mythics were seen as animals to him. Though it wasn't an ideal situation for the British to be in, they declared war against the Mythics, a war that would rage for a century, a war, that the was eventually ended by both sides. Blood was spilled on either sides, though the Mythics were powerful, the humans found ways to win battles, kill Mythic rulers. After the treaty was signed, the Mythics were given the forests and the shadows.

Some say the Mythics got the short end of the deal, the humans getting a majority of the lands and Mythics what was left over. Also, all documents of the war were destroyed, the war becoming just another bedtime story. And like the war, other stories were told, those of Little Red Riding Hood, Narnia and more. To live forever in the books of children, the Mythics eventually vanished from the lands, to only be seen in the shadows, or within the cover of the trees.

Years have passed, the world changing into the world we have today. The humans were advanced now, but so were the Mythics, they grew stronger, bigger, and some were still alive from the great war. Between the Lycans and the Vampires, those two groups being able to walk with the humans, there are others, such as witches, warlocks and some shapeshifters, but Lycans and Vampires have found homes with these humans. With the two worlds, within those worlds there were wars, the Lycans fighting the Vampires, the Ogres fighting the Elves, the world wasn't perfect, and neither was the human one.

Though most wars were little ones, or even little squabbles between groups, the biggest war was between Dracula and his followers, fighting the Lycans. The war was devastating, other Mythics got caught up in the war, if you helped the Lycans, you were killed by the Vampires, and that goes for hiding Vampires as well, the Lycans would eat you for dinner. The fear of the war reached towns all across the Mythic realm, some families running, and some Mythics even joining the war. Some of the families that left joined other towns, the more desperate families ran for the human world, joining them was the safest thing to do in some eyes.

Growing up in the world of human kind, it was nearly indefinite that a child would hear the fairytales of old, not knowing they were more than just fairytales. A young lass grew up being read these stories, fascinated by the grasp the stories held her in. She was no ordinary human child. If it wasn't for her parents love and care, she would have been long since lost due to the cruelty she endured as a child. Children picked on her for different coloured eyes and the cruelty worsened when they saw her ears. They were canine in nature, higher up on her head than human ears would have been. She was shunned and viewed as a freak. Her parents attempted to protected her and moved whenever these situations arose. Alas, the cycle always repeated itself and they were left but no choice but to move to an isolated location. A few years had passed since they had moved and their daughter had grown. She was shaping into a beautiful young maiden with long flowing, light coloured brunette hair, a thin frame with muscle adorning her shape. Her breasts were well curved and balanced, being healthy as was her rump.

One night, Syrie was sitting up late in her bedroom. She was seated upon her fluffy, yet firm, mattress, reading one of her favourite fairytales. For whatever reason, she found as though as she belonged in the realm of the fairytales opposed to the real realm. Everything she did, no matter what, she just didn't seem to fit in. Syrie had been an outcast since she was but a small child. Even now that she was older, she never strayed too far from home and rarely ventured into the near with her parents. When she did, it was usually upon a quick errand and she always wore a hat to conceal her ears that marked her as different. She had often asked her parents about why she was a freak and they simply told her she was not a freak, but a beautiful girl. Her parents often struggled with the words to tell her, but they knew it was best if they did not tell her the full truth, at least not yet. They knew of the truth and new of the war that had been raging. Syrie's mother had brought her to them so that Syrie would be safe. She entrusted them with her daughter.

Syrie had known for sometime that she had been adopted, but never pushed the matter. She loved her parents, even if they were not her biological parents. However, as time went on and as she sat their in her bed, she wanted to know and needed to know. Syrie found herself dwelling upon the topic that night as she read on in the book. Once she had finished, she placed the book night. Her mind was consumed by the thoughts of her past and childhood, questions circling within her mind. She needed to clear her thoughts. As she stood up, she slipped into a tight, spaghetti strapped, black dress that possessed a flowing skirt at the bottom, the him of which reaching her thighs and no further. Slipping on a pair of socks, she then pulled on a pair combat style boots that came up to just below her shins. She tide the laces up and strapped the buckles before then placing a black cap upon her head to conceal her ears.

Her milk chocolate and sapphire coloured eyes stared out past the brim as she gazed out her window into the dark, surrounding wood. Her parents were out, working late tonight at their jobs. They worked so hard to provide for their small family. Syrie slipped out through the front door, arms crossed over her bosom as she headed towards the woods. It was a perfect night, the moon was out in full bloom and the stars glistened. The light they emitted illuminated the surroundings just enough for her to see. Yet, even without this, Syrie would have been able to see, her eyesight quite keen than any humans. The air was not too hot and not too cold, it was just perfect. As Syrie wandered, she began to loose track of the time, her thoughts consuming her mind. Suddenly, something pulled her from her deep thoughts as her keen ears picked up a strange sound and her nose picking up a strange scent. Curiousity consumed her despite ever muscle and fiber in her being attempting to warn her into the opposite direction of the strange scent and sound. Quietly, she approached and moved in closer until she was able to see the source.

The war was still going on to this day, though mainly between the two factions now. Most Mythics have strayed from the blood, and let the two groups just fight eachother. It would cause problems in towns, when each of the group would run into eachother, it was hard for a Lycan to fight the need to attack or kill a Vampire. Problem was, Vampires travel in groups, but a single Lycan could usually hold its' own, for a little while atleast. Back when the war was a raging force across the Mythic realm, most parents would call to the Human world for help, asking these couples to watch their children, sadly, most Mythics passed or were killed in the war before they could return to their children.

Since the war has died down, some have reunited with their offspring, creating that family that was torn apart years prior. But for the ones who never saw their children again, knew they were in good hands, and would eventually find their way home, one way or another, they always found their roots. It was a humbling feeling to read in the newspaper that a family has reunited with their parents, the war tearing apart so much love and replacing it with blood and hurt.

Being a warm evening that clashed with a cold front, there was a fog rolling about the forest. It was a beautiful sight as the fog rolled across the ground and the moon dawned the trees with light. In the distance there were two creatures, heading through the forest to a nearby stream. "You dummy, I told you not to veer off the path, you were almost seen by a filthy human!" The troll was rather large, he had fur in some spots, a thick skin in others. One thing the stories got right, trolls were ugly and did occupy the bottom side of bridges. "Well my bad for wanting to see something other than a tree!" The other troll was shorter, mostly hair covering this troll and he had a bit of an attitude, you could tell he was a young.

"I wish they would have just attacked when the humans decided to build a road right in the middle of our forest, it's a pain in my furry ass to dodge a mid sized sedans headlights." The younger troll was much like a human teenager, hates everything and thinks he knows everything. "Oh so you want to be seen then dissected on a table? Those humans take apart anything they don't understand, and I'm sure you'd make their news." The larger troll was much like a parent, wise and having little patience with the young when it came to their safety.

The stream was rather close to the secluded location, the two trolls finding the steam and proceeding to wash their dirty troll bodies. "We wash in a river when others have baths and running water, why'd you have to be a troll?" The younger troll was truly young and in the stages of youth where he hated his parents. "Shut up, at least you have fur, I hope you get old fast." The older smelly monster grabs a fish out of the stream, tossing it at his son. The two Mythics continued their bath, not knowing they were being watched, and listened to.

Syrie was silent as she stared in shock at the creatures. Her keen ears picked up each word from the trolls, despite being covered by the cap. She gripped on tighter to the tree, her eyes focusing upon each movement the trolls made. They were real. She had read about trolls in old folklore and fairytales and it seemed that they had been detailed nearly to perfection in the stories of old. Yet, the stories often spoke of the trolls being stupid creatures with the brain size of a pea. These two appeared to be quite intelligent. They were carrying on full length conversations like any other would. She was amazed as she heard the way they spoke, the one reminding her of a human teenager and how the other was scolding much like that of a human parent. However, another thing the stories got correct was the distaste and liking for humans. Syrie's body trembled some as she pictured the large creatures tearing apart a human. Yet, that fearful image soon dissipated as she heard the one speak of what pain in its furry rear to dodge a sedan's headlights was. A soft giggled had escaped but she quickly clasped her hand over her mouth to stifle the sound.

For a moment, she held her breath, wondering if they had heard her giggle. With much relief, they hadn't. They hadn't caught her scent either particular due to the fact that she was downwind from the trolls. She continued to eavesdrop on the pair, listening to the rest of their conversation. She watched as they entered the stream and began to bathe their bodies. At least they were hygienic. For whatever reason, any ounce of fear that may have gripped onto the young maiden now had completely dissipated. She didn't feel out of place at present, in fact, it felt as though it was something familiar to her. Syrie even felt at ease being near the trolls. She couldn't explain it, couldn't explain why this just felt 'right' to her. She had always felt out of place with other humans, even with her parents. Syrie just didn't belong with the humans. She wondered where they had come from and if they had always been there.

This was something from her dreams. Syrie had often dreamed of trolls, vampires, lycans, and other mythical beasts of old. It has always been chalked up to her imagination and from reading all the fairytales she had. However, truth be told, they didn't feel like dreams to her. It was almost as though they were forgotten memories. There was another creature she had often dreamed of, and this one was always the most soothing to her. It was a beautiful woman who possessed the body of a gorgeous human woman, flowing long white hair and ears, much like Syrie's light brunette ones, yet she possessed several tails that Syrie did not possess. Her eyes though, they matched Syrie's to the letter. She often spoke with this woman in her dreams, her always telling Syrie that she loved her and everything would be alright. She would tell Syrie she would find her place and not give up hope, that she would always be by her side. The apologies always got to Syrie and she could never understand why the woman apologizes.

A single tear escapes her light sapphire hue, crawling its way down her pale, peach cheek. Syrie lifted a finger as she wiped the tear away as she though about the woman. She had no idea why seeing that woman like that made her want to cry. Her breathing had staggard for a moment as she choked back the want to cry. She felt a cool breeze upon her back, the breeze dancing with the skirt of her dress. She gave a light 'murr' sound as a shiver crept up her spine. The cool breeze felt rather now and for a moment she was about to loose herself in the breeze. It was then her eyes shot wide open as a realization hit. She was no longer downwind but was in fact upwind now. Her scent was now being carried to the trolls and her body froze at this realization. Her breath was caught in her chest as she stared over at the trolls once more, unsure of what to do now for she was unsure of what was to happen.

Her breath was caught in her chest as she stared over at the trolls once more, unsure of what to do now for she was unsure of what was to happen.

The trolls were caught up in washing their large bodies, the stench was strong as they tried to wash it off. "Do you smell that?" The younger troll had stopped washing, the older troll not being able to smell as good as it once did. "No, I don't smell anything, maybe you have something stuck up your nose." The parent troll tried to sniff the air, but still couldn't catch the scent. "I'm telling you, there's something sweet in the air, a feminine scent." The youngster turned to face where the smell was coming from, the moon ousting the female that was hidden.

"There! There's someone watching us!" The troll pushed its' way through the river before getting back onto land, stomping its' way over to where the female was hiding. The troll was ugly from a distance, but up close it was truly an ugly sight. The tree that was between the female and troll was an older tree, making it easy as the troll pushed the tree over. The tree fell to the ground, roots coming out of the ground before the forest silence is interrupted by the loud crash of bark against dirt. Out of the dust, the trolls' face comes close to the females.

"What are you? Some kind of peeping troll lover?" The elder troll gets a chuckle out of it as he makes his way over. "Calm down, son." The large troll moves the younger one to the side before he leans over. "Now I can smell it. I smell fear." The large troll was on the defensive until he stands back up. "Ookami, not a big threat to us, not a younger one atleast." The troll turns around, pushing his soon back over to the river. "Ookami? The wolf things?" The youngling follows its' parent back to the river.

"A fortune being, brings fortune and luck to the ones it's around, they possess some abilities, but this one is young, and looks quite human. Also, an older Ookami would be better at hiding, or concealing itself." The older troll was knowledgeable of other beings, though prefers to stick to its own kind. "We're done here, your mother is waiting for us in the cave." The larger troll heads back to the other side of the river, waiting for his son so they can head back to their cave within the mythical realm.

Syrie remained holding her breath as the trolls took notice to her. Crap! She had been paying more attention to the direction of the wind. At first, it was the younger troll who noticed and then soon the older troll. Syrie took a step back as the younger troll stomped its way towards her. Her eyes widen as she could now fully see every detail of the troll. It was a hideous creature indeed, yet she could find beauty in any and everything. She even found beauty through the cruelty of the humans who showed her such cruelty. Syrie jumped at the sudden loud crash of the tree as it slammed into the ground after being ripped from its grip on the earth by the troll. She remained still, her nose merely inches away from the troll's own face. She listened to it speak and she remained silent, not providing an answer. She was still in shock at seeing the trolls and the questions were barely registering to her. Her different colour orbs glanced to the older and larger troll as it came over. Suddenly, she was peaked as the troll called her an 'Ookami'. Her mind raised as she attempted to recall what an 'Ookami' was.

Her question was answered as she heard the two trolls discussing the Ookami breed as they walked away from her. Syrie's heart was pounding, not from fear, but from excitement. Perhaps she could finally find her answers that she so desperately seeked since she was but a young child. For a moment, Syrie's legs felt heavy, but with some motivation she was able to make them move as she attempted to follow the two trolls. She continued to listen them speak about the Ookamis and what they were capable of. She was intrigued by this information. Syrie couldn't help smile at how the way the trolls appeared to behave and have families like a human would. She began to forget about what they are nor the strange of this all. In fact, it was almost as though this was seemingly normal for the young maiden. Syrie was chewing upon her lower lip, waiting for the trolls to stop talking. She did not wish to interrupt them for she was not wanting to seem rude. Once there was a pause, Syrie's breath was caught as she stopped in her tracks.

Her stomach seemed as though it was turning, overflowing with butterflies. She felt nearly lightheaded as the promise of answers were in her grasp. Syrie did not wish to pester her parents with such questions, not wanting to seem ungrateful to them. They had provided her with such love and affection, giving her a warm meal and place to sleep. They spoiled her with their love, never seeming to run out of it. Now, there was an outside source she go to for help in answering her questions. Syrie only hoped that the trolls would be able to answer her and would be willing. She did not want to push her luck and gnawed over what questions to ask so that she would not be seen as an annoyance. For a moment, she began to hesitate, not wanting to burden the trolls as they appeared to be in a hurry. Yet, she did not know when she was going to have this opportunity again. This appeared as though it was a once in a life time opportunity. A strange voice echoed in the back of Syrie's mind, nudging her on. The breeze once again picked up, gracing itself along Syrie's back as it picked up speed. Her hair began to tussle as it began to cascade over her shoulders as the lengthy ends began to dance.

It appeared as though the wind was attempting to push her forward, towards the trolls and the direction they were heading. She continued with her graceful steps, behind the trolls as she gripped at the him of the skirt of her dress once more. "Uhm, excuse. I bet your pardon and I know are in hurry." She stopped when the trolls were to look at her, her head and shoulders bowing forward in their direction to show them respect. "My name is Syrie, and I have some questions. I don't wish to burden you with them, but you called me an 'Ookami'. That's what I am? Do you know where there may be others of my kind? I'm not ungrateful for the life my parents have given me, but I've known for sometime that something was off with me and why I never saw any humans like me. Even my parents don't look like me and I've known for sometime they are not my birth parents." Her head slightly raised, a soft smile in play across her lips. "They've been wonderful to me and I don't regret any of it. But, I would still like to know for some reason." Her eyes then gazed to the trolls before she gasped. "Oh! It's pleasure by the way to meet you. To be honest, I've always wanted to meet a Troll and many others." She soon blushed before lowering her head once more, feeling embarrassed now as though she may have overdone things. "I'm sorry for taking your time and spying on you earlier as well. That was very rude of me, and I shouldn't have done that." Her voice and tone were sincere. Syrie carried a a tender and that of true purity aura about her.

The larger troll turned first, since the youngling was not interested at first at what the tiny female wanted to say. "Quiet son, no need to add your input just yet." His large hand covered the youngsters mouth since the large troll doesn't want to give the wrong impression of their kind by letting the naive child speak first. "Child, an Ookami is what you are, you have the characteristics of a Wolf, noting the ears and the two different colored eyes. Most say the color of your eyes indicate the powers you possess, which yours would be Water and Earth." The large troll was wise, and knew a lot about the creatures around him. "You seem to have only been in your human form, you do have another form." The younger troll stood there, listening to his fathers wisdom.

"Not to be mean, but your kind has been known to be slaves, your kind are known to be lucky charms. You don't bring yourself luck, but luck to the others around you. Fortune is apart of that luck, so you can imagine why your kind would be know for being enslaved." The large troll looked around before looking back down at the female. "Walk with us, it's getting late and there are far more creatures out here than us, some not as friendly as us." The troll turned, giving the female space to stand between the two large bodies. "So you really don't know what you are? Interesting, the longer your kind is in its' human form, the stronger your feral form is. Since you've never changed, you'll only have one tail, but the older and wiser you get, you'll grow more." The father was intrigued by this young female, and didn't mind sharing his wisdom since most Mythics saw trolls as the lesser species.

"As for your kind, there are others, not as vast as trolls, ogre's or other popular creatures, but your kind does have its' settlements, living with other subtle creatures, and others that have abilities like theirs." The forest seemed to get darker as they kept walking, but their eyes adjusted like Syries would. "Your kind once lived amongst the humans, but I'm sure you had the same problem they did, your ears and eyes mostly caught the wrong kind of attention." He spoke with a deep tone, the youngling just listening and watching the forest in front of him. "Imagine if my kind tried to live with the humans, it doesn't work out so well. Lycans and Vampires are the most likely creatures to be found in a human setting. Though they're not like the creatures in your Hollywood movies. They're quite smart, but have a deep hatred for eachother." The two trolls stopped and the elder troll hut his hand in front of Syrie. "We're about to slip into the Mythic Realm, try not to stare and just relax." He warned the young lady before stepping forward, crossing into the world of the Fairytales.

"Welcome to our world, and to your world. I realize it's new to you, but this is as much your world, as the tiniest fairy." The youngling takes off by himself, he was safe in his realm, no need to worry about the humans, though there was still danger in the Mythic Realm. "I have more insight to your kind, but there's no need to overload you." The forest was still a little dark, but soon the two walked into a clearing and that's when it happened. In the clearing there were other Mythics, larger ones that even made the troll look small. "That's an Ogre, also my dear friend." He pointed at the large green Ogre as it sat in the field, it was huge, its' bottom teeth over it's lips. "The most common creature you'll run into will be fairies. They can be fun little things, but some are like your human children, arrogant and they have a since of know-it-all syndrome." There were other creatures, fairies flew around, smaller trolls ran around with eachother. The setting was much like a park in the human world, parents enjoying time with their children.

"Come, my wife will tan my hide if I let dinner get cold. You can join me, but even my wisdom will only take you so far, I'll eventually point you in the direction of a friend, he's much like you, but different in other ways." The large troll was vague with his description of his friend, he didn't want to overload Syrie with all the information he held. "Notice as you walk with me, you're not getting any unwanted attention, and you're seen as normal here." The large troll reached down and grasped the hat that was hiding Syries ears. "You can be yourself here, which I bet you have been craving to be yourself and just let your ears breathe." The troll knew it was hard to hide, he was big and an eyesore to some and hiding from the humans wasn't always easy when he was in the human realm. "You have much to learn, but you also have much to fear." The troll concluded as they reached a large cave entrance.

"Where is your father?" There was a female troll, you couldn't really tell by looking at her, though she did have a feminine voice. "There he is, with the female I told you about." The female troll turns, looking at her mate before looking down at the tiny female. "Hmm, explain." He tells her mate, the male troll getting a chuckle out of his mates jealousy. "Her name is Syrie, she wants to know about her heritage, I'm guessing she's the result of a runaway, when the war was at its' peak." He has seen this a few times, where creatures find their way back home after living among the humans, hiding amongst them for safety. "She has more questions, so be nice." The female troll was intrigued, and shocked that her son had told the truth. "Well I would offer you some food, but I doubt your taste buds can handle this, but you may try if you'd like." The trolls were large, and female offering up some of their dinner which was deer, two deers actually and they were roasted above a fire. "What other questions do you have?" The female troll sat down on a rock, the cave had beds, made of grass and other materials and some odds and ends. The three started to eat, the female leaving a bit of meat on the spit that was above the fire.

Syrie's interest was peaked even further at the mentioning of her having another form. It excited her to know such a thing and she found it amazing. A heavy burden also felt as though it had been lifted. As the larger troll continued to speak to her, she felt at ease and even comforted in the notion that she was not bothering them. In fact, the troll appeared to be quite friendly. That was the opposite of what she had read in the fairytales of old. They often referred to the trolls as being cruel and even cynical. However, a sadness suddenly plagued the young maiden as the troll spoke of her kind being slaves. "Slaves?" She had question and listened as the troll explained further. Her kind brought about luck and good fortune, so it would start to make sense as to why her kind were enslaved.

At the mentioning of it getting late and far less friendly creatures that would come plague the woods, Syrie squeaked lightly as she quickly hastened her pace so that she was between the two larger trolls. As they continued on, she listened to the details the troll gave. She listened with big eyes, much like a child. She was very inquisitive, occasionally pipping up with questions that were soon answered. She felt at ease with the trolls. It was nice having someone talk to her in such a way that was not her parents. She was fascinated by what the troll had to say and didn't take notice as the forest grew darker. She was to wrapped in what the troll had to tell her. With each step, she seemed to possess a bounce in her steps. For a moment, she lost that bounce as it was brought up about cruelty of man. She did know it all too well, yet she still found beauty and hope for mankind. As they approached the Mythic Realm, she found herself halted by a large hand and she turned her gaze to look upon the larger troll. She took his words seriously and gave him a soft nod of understanding.

Syrie could feel a change in atmosphere as they entered the other realm. It felt welcoming to her and yet seemed to demand respect. As they continued on and entered the clearing, Syrie couldn't help but have her eyes wandering. She made sure not to stare for too long, but still took in the sight. She smiled softly, watching the scene play out before her. It seemed something sweet to her. She glanced to the troll once more before her eyes ventured to the ogre. She paused for a moment, staring at its massive size. She was truly in awe and felt nearly overwhelmed. The fairytales appeared to have it wrong. Humans definitely did put their own spin on the lives of non-human creatures. It all seemed so peaceful and warm. Syrie was lost in her amazement and it took the trolls words of allowing her ears to breathe that she realized her hat had been removed. Her ears perked from their hiding place, twitching some as she let out a heavy sigh of relief. She hated having them concealed. The hat agitated her ears and it was a good feeling not needing to hide them. "Thank you." She whispered softly.

Syrie giggled at the mention of the troll's wife killing him if they were late for dinner. She continued on with him as they approached the mouth of a cave and remained still as the female came out and eyed Syrie. Syrie smiled politely, placing her hands in front of her as she bowed her head and shoulders forward. "Nice to meet you, Ma'am. I apologize for keeping your husband. I do have many questions and your husband has been kind enough to indulge my curiousity." Her head raised but then lowered once more at the offering of the food. "Thank you." Syrie followed the trolls and sat near them. She eyed the deer, her stomach giving a light growl. Syrie loved meat with a passion. She enjoyed fruit and vegetables, but her favour was meat. She licked the corner of her mouth and waited for the others to grab their fill before she took her own. "I love venison!" She exclaimed excitedly.

She was soon eating her feeling, tearing pieces apart with her sharp fangs. If she had possessed tails, they would be wagging. After a few large bites and swallowing each bite, she glanced to the trolls. "You stated that I was the result of a runaway when the war was at its peak. What exactly did you mean by that?" Syrie began to fiddle with piece of meat that was held in her hands, her ears fully erect to attention. "What do I have to fear? I've also gathered that I will have to learn much on my own and elsewhere. So then, where I am going to need to go and can you point me in the right direction? I don't wish to burden you any longer." That tender smile curved her lips as she allowed her gaze to fall upon the trio. "And I must say, you have a loving family. It reminds me of my own. I do have this feeling though, that I am going to have to leave all that I know behind including my family." There was a hint of sadness in her tone as she spoke, visualizing her human parents. She loved them dearly, but something was telling her that she needed to leave them.

"Oh! Thank you again very much for inviting me into your home and sharing your meal with me. I know I am a stranger and you have showed me such kindness. I cannot tell you how much that means to me." She had closed her eyes, a big, warm smile in play as she spoke. Her eyes then reopened, returning their gaze to the meat in her hands. "You also stated something about a 'friend'. This friend will be able to help me? You also said he was like me but different. How so do you mean?" Syrie realized she was asking a lot and felt that she may overstay her welcoming and quickly she apologized with a light hearted laugh. The piece of meat she had been fiddling with was soon being teared by her fangs and consumed.

The piece of meat she had been fiddling with was soon being teared by her fangs and consumed.

"Sweetie it's not problem, it's not often a creature such as yourself comes and asks a few trolls about life, it's a nice change for us, most just see trolls as mindless animals. And I'm sure you've boosted my husbands ego a little, he'll be talking to all his friends about this Ookami that hung on his every word." The female laughed and nudged her husband as he scuffed at her. "Well, it's not like a lot of creatures come for my wisdom, I've been around long enough that they should come see me." He growled lightly before biting back into his food as the son just laughs at his parents. "You're not bothering us either, we love having guests, like your human world, we often throw get togethers with a friends." The female began to clean up as the large male turns and sits down on a rock.

"You were more than likely a runaway, the result of the war against the Lycans and Vampires. They have been feuding for a long time now, and at the wars peak, many creatures were enlisted to help each side, most against their will, cause you see, many fear the Lycans and Vampires, they're abundant in this realm, and most are very strong." The troll spoke as the younger troll got up when a friend of his walks in, it was a smaller troll, red in color, having blank fur covering his body and green eyes. Standing about 4 feet tall, he wanders into the cave. "Hello Mrs. Lorg!" The little troll waves at the female before looking at the stranger. "Well if I knew you had such pretty company, I would have slicked back my hair." The troll runs his hand over his head, staring at the pretty female. "She's out of your league, and you have more hair than she does." The youngling grabs his friend with ease, pulling him out of the cave to let the elders talk.

"As I was saying, when the war was at its' peak, many creatures were pulled into the war, and on both sides, villages would be destroyed to find the enemy, and creatures were killed if they were thought to be hiding the enemy. It was a big mess, but that was life back then. Many creatures fled to the human world, only the ones that had children that looked human enough to live among the fleshy beings." The female soon sat down near her husband, both wanting to give their input. "Your parents must have taken you to the human world, asked a human couple to take care of you until the war had ended. Technically the war is still going on, but it's been reduced to a simple turf war, the two sides still hate each other, but for the most part the war has subsided." The female knew must of this war since her parents were in the war. "Like yourself, most children find their way back to their world, and it works out in the end, but some don't and grow up as human, never knowing their true heritage." The female was as wise as the male.

"About this friend, he's an older gentleman, an Elemental actually. Like yourself, he controls the elements, but he has power over more, and doesn't tire after using his abilities. I've been friends with this man for years, he's as old as dirt itself." The male troll chuckles since he's always making fun of his friend. "Elementals get quite old, they live off the energy of nature and are often very powerful, the stronger ones can create earthquakes and cause massive damage. And Elementals were one of the creatures that Lycans and Vampires never touched, cause even those two groups couldn't handle the power of a wise Elemental." The male got comfy with his back against the cave wall. "You can meet him tomorrow, but for now you should get comfy, I wouldn't want to leave if I were you. We can set out at sun up, his cottage is about 20 miles from here and I'd be worried if I sent you out on your own." The female nodded since the male was right, they couldn't let this fragile Ookami go out on her own.

"Oh yeah, you don't have to lose complete contact with your human family, but after living in this realm, it's wise to slowly cut ties and visit as least as possible. Everyone makes enemies, and some enemies can use your human parents as leverage to get what they want. It's best for their safety to visit on if needed." The female knew what she was talking about, she has seen it before, in the past humans were brought into the Mythic Realm, just to flush out a hiding creature, and the humans and creature were still killed in the end.

It was comforting to know that she was placing a burden upon the trolls. It made the young Ookami feel at ease and even overjoyed. She blinked when they mention how it was a nice change for them and the way other creatures saw them. Well, that's stupid, so Syrie thought. It seemed judgement even extended into this realm. There was no true escaping such a thing so it seemed. She kept up her smile, a frown hidden beneath it as they mentioned the enjoyment of having friends over for gatherings and parties alike. Syrie never knew such joys due to the consequential outcomes. She maintained her smile as there was reason to smile. She could always fine a reason to smile, even through the darkest of times.

As she listened to them speak, another troll soon entered, although his appearance was somewhat different. At his comments, she couldn't help but giggle, feeling rather compliment. She smiled gently as she watched the younger troll run out with the troll that had came inside. It was cute. Her attention was once again redirected to the older trolls. Once more, they had her full, undivided attention. It was clear and written upon her face how interested she was with what they had to say. She was intrigued by the way they had spoke of and the possibilities of her birth parents. The way it sounded, it was ensure they left their children in the human realm so that they could stand a fighting chance. This notion was of comfort to Syrie. When she had figured that she was adopted, she wondered what had happen to her birth parents and if they just 'threw' her away or was it something of more pure in nature. This was comforting news and a relief had washed over Syrie. She then began to wonder what would have happened if she didn't have a 'strange' appearance, and looked like a 'normal' human, if she would have been one of the children that would not have returned and lived out in a lie. It was worth being 'different' to learn the truth. Even through the hardships, she gladly endured them and would do so again so that she could learn the truth and not live a lie.

Her head lightly cocked to the side as the topic finally turned to the 'friend'. She giggled at the way he spoke of his friend. It was clear with how he spoke of the other, they were quite close. She was fascinated with the information they gave her on the Elementals. She was a bit shocked at the care and concern they showed her. "I couldn't put you out." Yet, despite her protect, it appeared as though their minds had already been made out and Syrie was to be a guest in their home. It was rather nice to feel welcomed in by strangers. Without meaning, a yawn had escaped and tears pricked the corners of her eyes. She was beginning to feel rather tired. Syrie had quickly raised her hand to muffle and conceal her yawn. Her ears then perked when she was told on what she should do in regards with her parents. It made perfect sense to her and was indeed quite logical. She nodded her head in response. Even if she still fully understand nor grasp the true reason, she knew there was in the very least at least one good reason and that was enough to go on. After all, she was still new to this world, even though it was her world, she had a lot to learn.

"Thank you. I appreciate your wisdom. Thank you for feeding me and offering your home to me. I will find a way to pay you back, I promise." Without realizing it, to either Syrie nor trolls, the one power she possessed was awakened at that moment. Good fortune was to smile upon the family from that point on. Even though Syrie was young, and weak in other areas, her fortune ability was stronger than even some of the older and wiser Ookamies. Her tidings of blessing fortune was unique than that of other Ookamies. "Where would you like me to sleep? I hate to be rude, but I'm not sure I can stay awake much longer. I'm rather tired and know if I sit here any longer, I'll just pass out and fall over where I am sitting." She softly giggled at her own words. She waited to be shown where she could rest for the remainder of the night. When she was shown, she wasted no time in making herself comfortable. She nestled and nuzzled herself in, her eyelids feeling heavy. With a sleepy voice, she once again thanked them for their generosity.

When sleep cradled her in its grasp, it was a pleasant sleep, or so it appeared. A strange plagued her mind of what appeared to be a fierce battle underway. She watched as two groups tore at one another's throats. It was a gruesome sight to be hold. From the battle, a large wolf-like creature appeared to be running, it's fur beige in colour with crismon tribal marking-like patterns intertwined into the colouring. Around the 'heel' of each paw were flames of crimson in nature. It possessed twenty-one tails with a flame dancing in a spiral around each tail. It was massive in size, larger than a polar bear standing upon its two legs. As it ran, it nearly appeared as though it was running in the wind, its paw barely being seen to touch the ground. In the massive jaws, it clutched a tiny blanket, a small figure appearing to moving about within it. So cries could be heard coming from the bag. As the wolf creature moved its way through a thicket, blood was sprayed from its chest and abdomen, staining the earth beneath. It was evident the creature had received a mortal injury, yet it continued onward. All of its remaining strength being used to take the bundle it carried far away.

A beast soon appeared before the wolf creature, snarling and growling. Its image was hazy and Syrie could not see the true defined shape of the creature. It appeared to demand for whatever was inside the bundle. The wolf creature then spoke in a masculine voice, yet without even moving it's muzzle to speak. It was as though its voice came out in a telepathic manner. "You shall never take away my fortune and treasure." A low, yet sturdy snarl escaped as it raised its massive gums, exposing the pure white, large fangs. The fur was standing on edge, and although it carried 'precious cargo', it was still on both defense and offense. Just as it appeared the other beast was about to attack, it appeared as something had caught it off guard and another figure appeared. The actions it then began to depict gave evidence that whomever, or whatever, this figure was, it was an ally to the massive wolf creature. It seemed to encourage the wolf creature to continue on his path. Even though it could not be seen on the creature's face, his voice gave gave evident to a smile in his tone. "Thank you, my friend. I'm afraid my time is short and I will not be able to repay this debt. At least not in this life time." There seemed to be a bit of a chuckle in his tone before he soon once again sprinted away while the new figure took on the creature that had previously attempted to block the wolf creature.

Syrie soon awoke, her head spinning. She groaned as she sat up before laying back down immediately. For a moment, the cave was spinning and she had to shut her eyes. One arm reached up placed itself to rest over her now closed eyes. Her heart was pounding, ready to burst through her chest as it heaved with heavy and deep breaths. After a couple moments, she soon settled, her breathing normal and the cave no longer spinning. She sat up, thinking upon the strange dream she had. It was rather vivid and complex in detail, even though she could not make out the distinct characteristics of the two figures that had been 'key players' in her dream. The only creature she could clearly see defined was the wolf-creature. Strange. For a moment, she thought to question the trolls about it, but figured that wasn't best for now. They already graced her so well, she couldn't possibly disturbed them with more 'nonsense'. She smiled when saw one of the trolls, politely greeting them. "Good morning. I am ready to leave whenever. Thank you again for everything you've done for me."

The male troll was the first to wake, like any creature, whether you're human or Mythic, you aren't always the best looking in the morning. "Give me a few minutes child, just a few minutes." The troll groaned as he walked over to a rock, sitting down and rubbing his eyes. He was truly an ugly troll, and the morning wasn't very friendly to him, nor his family members. The female troll was the next to wake, though she was a little more cheery. "Morning young one, hope you slept well.' She greeted her husband, but got the same response that the Ookami got.

"You two should get going soon, the morning is the safest time to travel such a long distance, and be sure to stop and rest along the way, no need to be in a big hurry, but no need to delay either.' The male troll stands up, stretching before he walks to the entrance to the cave. "Be sure to visit when you can, don't forget about us." The female gave the Ookami a smile before going to wake up her son. The male waits for the Ookami before setting out, "When we meet my friend, he's not so kind to new people, it takes a minute for him to warm up to them."

He was honest with the young lady, he didn't want her to be too friendly at first. "But where he lacks in first impressions, he makes up for in his wisdom. You name it and he's done it, and been to just about any place you can think of. Once he warms up to you, you'll learn a lot from him. I can only teach you so much, so it's best that he takes you on and you learn from the best. Plus it's not always safe where I live." In the distance there were fairies flying around, it was a small river and they were enjoying a dip.

"Ooo, it's a big smelly troll!" The fairies were indeed little bitches, not like the ones you find in a Disney movie. "Stupid fairies, though they do taste good on some bread." The troll smirks as the fairies shut up since they think he's serious. "I'm kidding, but they don't know that." He whispers to the Ookami before setting out across the river. "Do you have anymore questions for me before we get to our destination?" They've only been walking for a couple miles, but with the troll talking the whole time, the time seems to go by faster.
