Alethia Constance Im'agin rode in silence her hands folded in her lap. It had been over a week ago that her little carriage had left her home heading for her new life. She was the princess of Tray D'nim the most beautiful and peaceful land that could ever be known. She was to be married to the most amazing man that could ever have existed, they were going to be so happy and never have any worries. At least that was the thoughts that had been going through her mind right up until that fateful day. She had begged the knights to let her stop in a glade and just enjoy the scenery for a moment. However the moment that the carriage had stopped and she had gotten out all hell broke loose.

All around her knights had fallen pierced by arrows only a few remained standing and the horde of bandits that charged them easily overwhelmed and put them to the sword. Soon only the princess remained and she just curled into the carriage like a good girl praying they didn't kill her too. Luckily for her, or perhaps unluckily depending on the outlook, they had other plans for her. This hadn't been just some random raid, they meant to capture her, they had been paid a high price for her delivery.

That had been about a week ago if her reckoning of time was right, though they had drugged her for the first few days to keep her quiet. So she wasn't sure how long she had been on the road, but she knew they weren't in her father's kingdom any more. Nor any kingdom that she knew off, they had passed over the Azure mountains three days ago. That was as far as Alethia's knowledge went, she knew only that this was no place for her.

Brushing a hand through her long copper red curls she looked out of the carriage at the solid wall of trees on both sides. Her emerald green eyes looked for any land mark that would tell her where she was or how far from home she really was. Shivering slightly she leaned back having seen nothing. She had no idea where she was or how she would ever get home. The tears that had been pouring down her face for much of the last few days threatened to come again.

Suddenly there was a loud crash and the cry of horses as the carriage stopped dead. Pulling herself from the floor Alethia lifted the curtain of the carriage and gasped in shock. There was a knight out there, full armor all black and shining in the light of late day. He was cutting through the bandit with ease. She tried to see the crest on his shield or armor but the angle wasn't right she could only wait till the battle was over, hoping the knight won.

The Black Knight had chanced upon the group of bandits, and they had decided to rob her. The knight stood 6'2 feet tall and her heavy armor hid the person inside. Her shield was black like her armor, holding the face of a tiger colored in blue. Her large black sword sliced down, slashing one bandit in the the throat. A massive blue maltese tiger roared and lept onto the last bandit.

The felines fangs digging into the throut and chewing on the flesh. It was then the large feline sniffed and stalked to the carriage at a slow pace. Seeming to notice another living being.

Alethia gasped as the knight was joined by the blue tiger and she had to turn her face away from the last kill that the beast made. Blushing deeply and breathing hard from fright she moved back from the door of the carriage. She was shaking in fear at the tiger, and now that it was over she really started to wonder just what type of knight this was that had rescued her. She shivered and stayed on the other side of the carriage from the tiger hoping that it wouldn't eat her like it had the man before.

The tiger drew closer, making the horses whinny nervously and stomp their hooves, but the giant cat ignored them before knocking the door aside so it would open. It's large Ice blue eyes looked about before they landed on a human girl. The tiger sniffed a bit as it stared at her before making a soft little roar. It wasn't threatening, but it was still loud enough to gain the knights attention. The tiger licked its bloody maw as it watched her before making another little roar, which caused the knight to come closer.

Clank..... Clank.... Was the sound of the knights steps before she came up behind the tiger and 'saw' the princess. "....are you alright?" came a deep gruff voice, almost forced it seemed.

The princess shivered in fear looking at the blue tiger. She whimpered softly as it roared and then licked its face. "Please don’t eat me." She whispered shivering again at the second roar. Her mind was just about to totally shut down and lock out all that was going one when the knight came over and stood there. Alethia looked at him pleadingly trying to get him to call of the tiger. "Please…don't let him eat me." She tried to press tighter to the side of the carriage away from the tiger.

The tiger tipped his head as his gaze watched the trembling human girl, roaring a little again at the knight as he looked up at the tall figure. The Black Knight stood there silently for a moment. "He wont. It seems you are fine.. Miss, so I will be on my way." She said in her gruff voice before turning and walking away and down the dirt path. The massive feline watched the knight go before looking at the princess, lightly rubbing his head against her leg before bounding off after the knight.
