Arch nodded a single time, and followed Skylar closely, his hand slightly raised in front of him, making sure the half dried blood didn't drip everywhere. He couldn't stop thinking, that the authorities had a Witch on their side. Couldn't stop fearing for that reality, and that they'd find them here. He tried to hide his worries, and managed it pretty well, remaining as hidden and emotionless as most times. Except when ever he gazed at Skylar. But that emotions, was certainly also better then fear.

As they entered the room, he gazed around a bit, with a lightly smiling gaze, and a shake of his head. He very rarely spend time in Inn's or other housings inside towns. His kind, weren't particularly welcome anywhere. So he staid clear of towns, housing mostly in caves and groves. Where ever his head, may rest.

Arch gazed to Skylar, and smiled softly at her suggestion to heat the water, with a light shake of his head. He couldn't feel cold or heat, except when it managed to damage his skin, such as burns. So he just got an empty bucket, and poured some water into it, which he used to clean his hand, roughly itching against the blood to get all of it off. He'd noticed the wanting gaze from Skylar, and as his hand was cleaned, he gazed to Skylar, just as she mentioned the day, without raising from his place. "Indeed. Waking up with a bad case of skin fracture. Fighting off Hellhounds. Resting in a Vampires Den, and then finally being chased out from the capitol, by those you used to call 'your people'." He summarized the day, with a soft smile. "All in all, exciting." He smirked, pointing at the tub with a thumb. "Would you like a bath, on top of all that?" He asked, with the same gentle smile.

With him summarizing the events, it didn't seem so bad. Because it all had lead her to him. Sure, those were people she considered her kind, but none of them had meant anything special to her. Except maybe her master, but...

A smile tugged at her lips at his question. "I actually would..." She looked down at her garments, though these had managed to say a lot more clean than her previous dress. Still, she was caked in dirt, some faint flecks of blood, and she didn't want to know what else.

"Would you mind?" She asked. After all, they'd already established he wouldn't be looking. There wasn't a screen, but she was fairly confident the vampire wasn't some kind of peeping tom.

Though a part of her wanted him to be. She sighed inwardly.

Arch's red eyes, focused on her's, as he asked his question, the same small smile on his lips. Then as she accepted the offer, he nodded a single time, turning his attention to the buckets, and the tub. He emptied a few of the bottles in the tub, to add enough water for a person to dip into, without it spilling over the edge. The cold water splashed into the tub, and as it did Arch was able to determined how cold it was. He then dipped his, now clean hand, into the cold water, leaving it there for a minute or so, gazing to her as she asked. He smiled lightly, and nodded a single time.

"Just making it ready." He smiled, as the water slowly reached a comfortable temperature, that wouldn't scold the skin, whilst it wouldn't cause chills of cold. And as the water hit that temperature, he removed his hand, and shook it lightly, to drip the worst of the water off. "There you go." He offered, stepping away from the water, and to the other side of the bed, sitting down against the wall, resting his legs up on the bed, as his shoes had been removed. Arch made sure, only to stare out ahead, indeed not interested in being the peeping kind. Well, not interested in the wrong parts of the subject. Certainly was interested in staring. Which was normal to him, at all. He'd never before, found an interest in a woman's body. Not of Human, not of Vampire. But Skylar. He found an interest for her. And not only for her flesh, or her blood, but her entire being.

Skylar sunk in the warm water with a sigh of relief. "Thank you," she breathed to Arch, eyes closed. The warmth sank into her skin were the chill of the past events had settled. She was glad to finally be doing something to calm her nerves.

So many things were spiraling out of control and here she was, taking a warm bath.

With a vampire not too far from her.

She tried to ignore the fact that there was a man present, but parts of her body stirred, despite her protests. What was it about that man that made her tingle this way? No one had ever made her feel this way; there had been one similar time, but that boy had not been a man.

Or a vampire.

Slowly washing an olive-tan arm, she swiped the days' dirt and blood from her skin.

She wondered what the rune smith was doing below.

As Arch stepped away, he nodded a single time, with a gentle smile towards Skylar, before heading to the window, on the far side of the room, crossing his arms as he gazed outside. His eyes now narrowed, and his lips grew to a soft, serious frown. Something was wrong here. A Demon was lose, the authorities had to know about this. And if not, they had a pretty useless Sorcerer, in charge of their investigations. And to top things off, they where foolish enough, to get in a Shadow Hunters way. The hatred towards his kind, was nothing new, but usually Kingdoms authorities, where smart enough to look the other way. Not step in it. They had to know, they would have to kill him, before he'd stop hunting that Demon. Especially now, that he knew it was a Lord. Next time, a simple charming spell, wouldn't be enough. He'd have to use force, and make himself an enemy of the state. Great. Arch cursed his ability, to make friends...

And while all these thoughts where going through his mind, he had to fight the urge, to turn around and gaze at the beauty, that was Skylar. Now so exposed. So fragile. He didn't even curse his own blood, for wanting her anymore. He now knew, it wasn't just her blood. It was something else. Now he cursed his male instincts, and his ability to feel. Beng, as he was, of the Fracture Bloodline, he had the same emotions, as a human. Which made most of the Bloodline, like him. Hating their blood. Which was also why, the Bloodline was fading. Dying out, because they insisted not to procreate. To evolve their cursed Legacy. And now, he was fighting feelings of human kind.

He had to shrug off his thoughts, sending a half glance to the side, to not look behind himself towards Skylar, but to make it clear he was speaking to her. "We'll have to fast, tomorrow. Without my cloak, the sun will slowly weaken me, even if I do borrow a cloak. Which I will have to, to not get permanently burnt." He said, in a rather grim voice. He wasn't happy about this necessity to stay here. But he didn't feel, that Skylar needed to see him shoot down human guards, just doing their jobs. Not when there was still another way, at least.

The warm water was a soothing welcome against her chilly skin, the past days events having sunk into her skin like ice. The water was beginning to pulse life back into her body and she could feel even the insides of her bones beginning to heat; she was glad for it. She wasn't sure how much longer she'd have to be without a bath so she'd enjoy it while it lasted.

Arch's voice slithered through the room like a heavy violin's song and Skylar had to recall what he had said, too distracted by the baroness of his voice.

"Maybe we should leave before the sun comes up," she suggested, casting a glance to the small window. It was hardly open, but she could see it was still night out. Even if it meant only an hour or two of sleep, perhaps it would be better, and safer, for Arch if they left just before daylight broke over the horizon.

Where were they even going? And how could she properly prepare? All her things were back at her home, which she could no longer access. She wished she could grab a few more garments, as well as supplies. There were plenty of useful things in her old home, along with copious amounts of food.

She washed the last of the dirt from her skin, but didn't want to move from the warmth. Her hair was drenched and was flattened against her head; she sank lower in the tub, water to nearly her nose, her hair fanning out around her in dark coils like snakes resting on water.

Arch nod a single time with her suggestion, letting his, now darker eyes, cast a glance out the window he stood near. They where not darkened, by what would be obvious to those who gazed upon them. Not gloom or otherwise bad mood. Rather lust and longing. Longing for the now heating scent of her blood, blessing his every essence with the sweet song, of something untouchable. And unable to ignore it any longer, a lust for her body. A lust to take the prize he so dearly had wanted, for many long years. A prize for his hard work. His harsh punishments. He kept telling himself, he wanted her as an object of payment. That the prize he longed for, where the mere touch upon a woman's skin. And not the comforting rest, of a loving heart. The warmth and rest, mere skin and blood could never give.

Arch had to shake his head, for his thoughts to temper, his vision again tilting to his side, to hint that he would speak. "We'll do that, then. It'll only allow you three hours of sleep, but you can rest once we arrive in the cave again. I suggest that we spend some time, trying to Di cipher that book. See if we can find some sort of signature. Something to lead us forward." He added as a suggestion, before gazing out the window once more, cursing his longing to turn his gaze back upon her. To revel in every detail, of her beautiful body. Never had his instincts been so hard to control. And this instinct, wasn't even that of his Vampire blood. But the mere instinct, of a meager male. Of any race..

"Even an hour sounds like a restful night," Skylar said as she climbed from the tub. The water glided off her bronzed skin and she worked to ring all the water from her hair. Dark curls clung to her as she slowly dried herself, finally wrapping in the warmth of her clothes.

She wandered over to the cot, giving out a soft yawn, eye lids fluttering. Sleep did sound good. "Wake me when we need to depart," she said in a small voice, hardly aware she had curled up next to Arch. Before another word was uttered, she was fast asleep.

Arch nodded a single time with her agreement, narrowing his eyes a bit, as he gazed out the window. Hearing her submerge from the tub, his gaze turned lightly to his side again, once again longing to gaze back upon her. But he kept himself, breathing in with a sigh, as he gazed back out the window, waiting for her to finish. "It's settled then." He considered to ask her, if she wanted some supplies before they left for the cave, but stopped himself, deciding to keep it for the morning. Or well. For the little time later, they'd be off on their feet again.

As he heard that she'd been redressed, he turned his gaze back upon her, as he made for the bed, dropping down on his back, with his hands behind his head. He gazed for the ceiling, as he pondered and listened. Kept a track of scents. Made sure, she wouldn't be interrupted, in her sleep. Then at her request, he nodded, and gazed to her, by his side. He couldn't help but smile lightly, to see her so peaceful. Sleep truly was a remarkable thing. Something humans, truly found pleasure in. Something, he could never himself.
"I will, Sky. Sleep well, for the time you'll be able." He whispered, with the same soft smile, before gazing upwards again. Having her this near, caused his skin to tremble, and his fangs to grow out, yet again. He sneered without sound as his upper lip shivered. He had to stay himself. But they'd have to finish this, soon. Or he would not be able to hold himself, any longer.

A few hours later, Arch's eyes gazed for the window, sighing lightly. "It is time, Sky. We must take our leave." He said, with a voice, just high enough to wake her, gazing down to her where she lay, curled up next to him. He smiled lightly again, and lay a hand against her shoulder, gently trying to wiggle her awake.

Sleep was strange. it had been a long time since she'd closed her eyes to the comfort of someone warm against her; when she was young, it was all children could do to keep from freezing in the orphanage. It had never felt quite like this, though...

And her dreams...

She wasn't sure what it was trying to tell her, but she lay in a stoic, dark forest. No sounds emerged from the landscape and that brought a chill across her skin that made her hair stand on end. It wasn't long before she heard faint whispering and it didn't sound friendly.

The voice was leathery and almost wet. She didn't like it at all.

Arch's voice mingled in with the strange whispers and, before she knew it, she was blinking open eyes full of sleepy sand. She rubbed at them as she gave out a soft sight. She was glad the dream was over.

Again, she had the nagging need to return to her home to retrieve some supplies. Unable to itch this scratch, she said, "Do you think it would be safe to stop by my old home? There are some things I can pick up that I'm sure will help us."

Arch couldn't see what others dreamt, but he could easily spot a bad dream on most people. And Skylar, wasn't sure about her dream. She seemed uneasy as she slept. But what was to be expected, in a time like this? She wasn't exactly in a pleasing position. The Demon's weren't after Arch this time. They where after her. It nagged him, that she was the one who had to go through it, as the hunted. No human should ever have to know that feeling. Demons where vicious and brutal. No human should ever have to feel them, at their heels. But SKylar took it well. She didn't seem as nervous, as she probably should. She knew what was waiting for her, if Demons caught her. She had to know.

As she finally woke, and itched her eyes, Arch smiled and slid off the bed, raising to his feet to go look out the window. It remained dark, but wouldn't for much longer. So as she asked him, if they could go pick up supplies by her, he sighed softly, and lowered his head. He didn't want to say know. He knew, that he didn't have so many things for humans in his cave. So she might need something, what did he know? So he gazed over his shoulder, and nodded a single time.
"Very well. But we'll have to be swift. Both to avoid detection, and to evade the sun light." He said, as he walked to pick up but his quiver and bow, and got both placed on his back. And as soon as Skylar was ready, he'd let her lead the way, and kept his eyes down. He didn't want unnecessary attention. They'd had enough of that, already.

Skylar knew it was a risk going back to the mansion, but there was a nagging at the back of her skull that told her she needed to go back. In her room and her master's work room, she was sure to find plenty of things to help them.

As they left the loft, Skylar noted the rune smith had closed the shop. Knowing he only did this when he himself was sleeping, she didn't find it too odd. He'd had a hard night, too.

On their way out, she found a bundle on the counter with her name on it. Peeking at the paper, crudely written on it was a message from the rune smith, stating these were some provisions he knew they'd need. She took one look inside, gasping at its contents. Not only was there food, but there were various runes, engraved into weapons he knew she was familiar with. Clutching the bag to her chest, she felt tears swell in her eyes at the gesture. Not complete with her training, it was illegal for her to own her own casting weapons. He was bending many rules for her.

"Let's go," she said in a hushed tone, worried because she didn't know if she could ever re-pay the rune smith for all he'd done.

The night was still heavy, but Skylar knew all too well the sun's ascension wasn't too far away. Quickly, they trailed back to her former home. It was eerily quiet, but when she spread her senses, she didn't feel the presence of any magic user near. So they crept into the building, using the back door that led directly to the kitchen.

There, she gathered more provisions, stuffing the stack the rune smith had given her into a larger, carrying bag. She hoisted it over a shoulder as she made her way deeper into the mansion. "There's some things I need to grab from my room. I think there might be some heavy cloaks in my master's bedroom. You should see if any will help you against the sun." Her master had a fondness of things that blocked out a sun. Before, this didn't seem strange, but now that she thought about it, she wondered if it had anything to do with the demon activity that he was involved in.

As she found the bag on the counter, Arch walked to gaze out a window, with slightly narrowed eyes. He didn't like being in a hurry, as they where now. It made him feel uneasy. Not enough time, to be tactical in combat. If they met someone, his aim wouldn't be as perfect, as it used to be. He'd be rushed.
He sent a glance i her direction, as her hushed tone set in. She was doubting they'd get to see the smith again. He smiled lightly, and placed a hand on her shoulder, as they left the shop. "Do not worry. We'll see the smith again. He knows how to stay safe.." He whispered, before they disappeared in the shadows.

As they entered her old home, his eyes kept glancing outside, whilst she searched for what she required. He didn't like the silence. He had the scent of countless humans, and would be unable to make a call. To see someone come, through their scent. They'd be blind, for as long as they staid in this village. And he could only hope, that she would hurry. He shook thoughts of her coming to harm, out of his mind. He'd caught himself unfocused, whilst thinking of her safety. He had to stop that. He had no reason to, and. She could take care of herself.

As he was spoken to, he only made a slight gesture of his head, to let her know he was listening, but without moving his eyes from the outside of the room. Then at what she said, he turned his gaze back towards her, before nodding a single time. "Anything to shroud the sun, would give me seconds longer outside. Anything would work. Thanks." He thanked, before swiftly setting off towards the Masters room. If he hadn't been guided, he used his nose to find it. And what he found, almost didn't surprise him, whilst it should have. Magical cloaks, several lesser incantations, meant to fend off Demons, and one greater one. Designed to hide the magical scent of the wearer, from Demons. He picked up that, and put on one for himself, with only a lesser incantation of defense, mend to fend off Demonic abilities. He didn't exactly expect to use it again, so didn't pick one for the comfort or magic in it. Just one to shroud him from the sun, and he head back towards the main room, hoping she'd finished meanwhile.
