Story
Beginning in an Alternate Universe of the late 1600s, the world's inhabitants are on the brink of destruction and extinction. Mass world war had raged out, what was spread about to be known as the Resource Wars. The Resource Wars were battles between nations of countries of the world, fighting to take over one another to gain the little resources that the other nations. The victors would use these resources, be it leather, metal, food, even other forms of early industry, that they had conquered from the victors to help keep their kingdom alive just a little longer.

No one knows exactly how the Resource Wars started. The main point of them was that sudden economical crisis occurred and crops hardly grew, cattle hardly bred, water wells slowly went dry, and the heat from the sun only made things hotter. This, however, was the only beneficial disaster, as the northern colonies often thrived with sources of water due to the melting ice caps.

After a century of fighting over resources, only two large nations are left on a small continent in the north, which still survived thanks to fishing and water resources becoming available due to the climate change. All the different species, the Alzak, Humans, Kindred, Goblins, Orcs, and several other more civilized humanoid species, all band together in these two kingdom, serving as the population and the military.

Peace after the Resource Wars was never accomplished even then, as the two nations who were so accustomed to fighting, still raged their own war for dominance in the country. The nation of Florensia and the nation of Yokai would rage on in their last war. This new war would be known to be called the Final War.

Species
Humans - Your average human. They are the most plentiful of the species.

Alzak - Giants, eight to ten feet tall with large muscles (Whether visible or not) on their arms and legs, easily capable to swing even the largest of tree trunks. They were more prone to live in the forests and swamps to herd their own cattle, but due to the cattle not being able to breed, they've tried their best to merge with civilized society. They are illiterate in terms of speech, and are best known to take jobs as herdsmen and women. When Alzak are born, they are the size of the hand of a human and gradually grow to be four feet tall by the age of fourteen, where after that they make a rapid growth to being their usual eight to ten feet tall size. They usually reach this height at the age of eighteen and stop growing.

Kindred - Early forms of what modern day humans call 'Vampires'. The only difference is that they are able to walk in the daylight and they do not possess as much super strength and speed, but are more than that of a current human's. Their weakness is the stereotypical holy items, such as water or a cross as well as wooden stakes. Garlic tends to weaken them, and actually act as an aphrodisiac to them. They are moreover civilized but they still have their primal urge for blood roaring in them, always seeking out Lycans moreover than the other species due to their blood being the richest. Other than this, they are very similar to humans and can often pass off as them, besides their large fangs and often scarlet red eyes.

Goblins - Not your average green, dumb minions. Goblins are actually what many people would call dwarves, just miniature humans who are about three feet tall. The only difference from humans is that they tend to be far more aggressive and often want to fight to resolve things. They are also very sneaky, making excellent thieves and often, in the wild, attack in packs to make up for their small and weak stature. Goblins are moreover wild creatures, but when introduced to society, tend to be hard workers. When a goblin is first born, they remain only one foot tall until the age of fifteen when they begin to grow up a little more to be three feet tall.

Orcs - They make up the powerhouse of a military's front lines. Orcs are interesting humanoids, as depending on their gender affect their appearance. However, all orcs are green-skinned.

Male orcs tend to be larger in size, usually always about six feet tall. Their body tends to surge with large muscles, giving them the figure what human body builders strive to look like. They would probably be considered more handsome than human males, were it not that if they do not exercise often, all the muscle will easily become fat and their heads are dull and dome shaped without hair. They are less intelligent than the females, however, by a great amount. Almost being as illiterate as the Alzak.

Female orcs tend to be smaller, around 5'5" give or take some inches. They are not as strong as male orcs but are as strong as human males. They can have a variety of types of hair, depending on how they treat it and their beauty is opposite of the male orcs, often being beautiful. However, they are far smarter than male orcs and many times, humans.

Half-Orcs - Half-Orcs are the result of human-orc breeding. Humans are the only other race that orcs are capable of breeding with to produce offspring, and the offspring, unlike their orc parents, are similar when it comes to gender differences. Half-Orcs are moreover humans, but males have broad bodies when they reach their peak at growth. Females are more slim and even weaker than female orcs, however the intelligence they can keep within their brain surpasses many species, often making them the scientists of a community. Both genders are as tall as humans, and often look like them, but they still show several dull fangs that often protrude from their mouths. They are also all green skinned as well.

Lycans - A special type of species, so rare that they are often kept as pets or slaves. Lycans are the most endangered of the species, their nation having been wiped out completely with only a few survivors managing to escape to safety and others leaving the continent all-together in hopes of finding a new life on a new continent where they may find a nation that would take them in...if a nation survived outside of the current one anyway. They are mostly human, but often take the form of wolves. Unlike modern fantasy, they do not have a werewolf form that make them ferocious. Their human forms distinguish them from normal humans by the addition of tails, ears, and fangs.

Seers - Seers are ghost-like humans, though they are not the spirits of humans. They are exactly what modern day fantasy describes 'ghosts', walking see-through humans that have a physical form yet they do not have one as well. Seers are able to actually choose who is allowed to touch them. They are often used as a form of messenger between Florensia and Yokai due to them not being very capable fighters, and they often tend to avoid fighting. They are created through 'breeding' with humans, absorbing many dead souls of dead humans they come by and create their own child out of the fusing of these souls. In this way, they are able to choose which soul to absorb and how many they wish is infinite, thus giving them the ability to create their own perfect children based on what they want.

They are very plentiful in these hard times and have taken to pranking the other species by acting as actual spirits of the dead.

Pixies and Imps - Pixies and Imps are two sides of the same species, many people just call the main species Fairies.

Pixies are the size of humans, though most of the time they are able to take the form of a small orb of light that can flutter away and illuminate the darkest of darknesses. They are considered the Good Fairies due to their willingness to help all creatures in need and often stay in the forests. Forests inhabited by Pixies will always brim with life and they feed off of the forest they help keep alive. When Pixies are first born, they are nothing more than the ball of light they are able to turn into and gradually gain a personality based on their surroundings. When they turn sixteen, they first gain their human form.

Imps are always four feet in size, and are not pleasant creatures. Male imps often are considered the most evil of the species, often loving to murder and attack people just to see them squirm in pain and suffering. Female imps are not as deadly, though they love to steal away men and women of all species to bring back to their colony within a forest to have the other imps have their way with the victim, be it torture or something sexual. Their forests always contain dead trees and other forms of fauna. When Imps are born from Pixies when they reach sixteen. If the personality of the pixie is moreover evil, the pixie will forever be turned into an Imp upon becoming a human and never be able to turn back to their ball of light form.

Would anyone be interested in RPing something of this matter? The plot would be that the forces from Florensia were assembled for one last battle, and sent off to fight Yokai...however...they had some new sort of invention that completely destroyed the Florensia troops, killing most of them and sending the main characters into a sort of stasis hibernation that keeps them preserved for, say, another century to make this be in the early 1800s when their stasis ends and they awaken, only to find that Yokai has completely taken over the continent.

The plot, depending on what you all want, could happen sort of like this:

Plot 1 - A prophecy in the Yokai kingdom states that warriors will rise from the earth to take back the land that was once taken from them, and a wizard whom runs the Yokai government knows this and sends troops of all kind to kill the main characters as they try to either rally a rebellion or take on the government by themselves. (By this time, however, the weapon that defeated them before would be improved and produced in mass thanks to development in industry but this would leave the country still deprived of many good resources such as transport and militia weapons.)

Plot 2 - Yokai has become even more corrupt and the poverty of the kingdom is even more severe than the world ever was, leaving the rich within the high cities to live normal lives while the slums outside of city walls suffer with hunger, thirst, and are beaten for taxes. Florensia's last remaining heroes (the main characters) decide to change that, starting with one city after the other.
