Ravenwood School Of Magic (Krys Snape & Tsumi Okasaki)

Hikaru stretched and rolled onto her side. Slowly becoming aware of the fabric beneath her she frowned slightly, still half asleep. Without realizing it, she called out to her unknown companion asking the woman why she changed clothes. Her own voice rousing her from the slumber, she sat up blinking and looked around suddenly disappointed. Getting up off of the cot she mumbled to Riku, "Your turn." and made way for her on the cot. Moving to the stand with her potion she brought it back to the woman and offered it to her, not meeting her gaze. She had no idea what the woman had heard and her dream wasn't one she wanted to discuss openly. As the woman took the potion from her hand, Hikaru went and grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill then settled in waiting for the woman to nod off.

When Hikaru woke up she didn't look too happy, she must've been having a good dream she didn't want to be awaken from. Riku could hear her mumbling something before she woke up but couldn't understand what she had been saying. She took the potion from the woman and took the proper dosage before laying down and closing her eyes. When she drifted off to sleep she was met with various different creatures but the on that stood out the most was the Griffin, she was barefoot walking beside the beast in the forest. Everything around them was calm and quiet, relaxing. The Griffin wasn't acting like the one in Professor Rikket's lesson this one was calm and docile probably because it wasn't in a cage. Riku walked with the beast all the way down to a stream that was surrounded by the offspring of the Griffin, the water was clear and clean and the sun was warm, the small Griffins laid calmly at the edge of the spring as if waiting for her to show up.

Hikaru watched the woman sleeping and couldn't help but notice just how peaceful she looked. "Shes really cute from this perspective." she said and reached over brushing a lock of hair out of the woman's face. Returning to her notes she nodded. It seemed the potion worked just fine. "Well chalk that up to a win." she said as she continued watching the woman.

The teacher moved beside her a few minutes into the woman's sleep and watched her briefly. "Well done, Hikaru." she said. "Your group grade is looking well." moving on she commented on a few other students, some who had extremely aggitated partners laying on the cot. Smiling silently to herself she started looking around for the chibi and noticed it sleeping at the foot of the cot. "You too, huh little guy?" she asked to which the critter responded with a "Chi!" and closed its eyes once more.

After a little while Riku opened her eyes and blinked a little bit before sitting up, "That was pleasant I haven't slept that well in quite a while" ,she said as she looked at the girl. "So what was the professor's verdict? Did we get a good grade"? Riku was all about passing and perfecting everything and she could hardly wait to hear what the final grade was. She stood up and made her way back to their table and bottled up the rest of the potion while she waited for Hikaru's answer.

Nodding she smiled "Yeah we did great." Looking at the other students who were finally rousing, she followed Riku back to the table. Helping the woman bottle up the potions, she collected a few bottles of it. Helping clean down the table she spotted the chibi hopping across the room to her. Bending down she scooped it up, then placed it on her shoulder. Turning back to Riku she asked "So, what do you have next period?" Sitting back down in her chair, she watched the woman's profile.

After they bottled the rest of the potion up Riku kept some for herself as well, the professor came around and collected the remaining bottles to put into her cabinet. "I have Offensive Spells next" ,she said in response to Hikaru's question. "I'm looking forward to it honestly it's one of the few things I'm a little rusty at, I'm more hands on during combat and I prefer disarming people and stuff before having to strike, What class do you have next"?

Tilting her head, she pondered the thought a second before responding. "I have Defensive Spells next. Then I have Custom Spell Construction, followed by Dueling." she said struggling to recall the schedule from memory. "So far I've enjoyed the Offensive Spell class. Came out dead tired though, so that little nap was just what the doctor ordered." Flashing a grin she moved over to her bag and scooped it up. "You will like the professor. Hes... impressionable." she said thinking of the tall Graves and their confrontation. "I think me and him hit it off quite nicely."

Cupping her left hand to her mouth she giggled and shot Riku a look. "As for the Offensive, I agree. Its a lot more satisfying to just cold cock someone who's a royal pain in your ass." Pausing for a second, her face got a curious and thoughtful look. "You know, I've never seen a wizard rely on anything but magic. Maybe that will give me an advantage in Dueling. After all, a wand is meaningless if you cant use it."

"Oh I have dueling last too so I'll see you there" ,Riku said in response. She smiled then picked up her own bag and placed all of her things back inside it. "If you want I can walk with you, both classes are pretty close to each other, "Oh and the professor for Defensive is a bit of a hard ass you'll be learning a disarming spell today just as a heads up unless of course he switches his lesson for different classes" ,Riku told her she figured she give the girl a warning before she stepped into the classroom.

"Thanks for the heads up." she said as students began filing out of the classroom. Walking with the woman she said "I would tell you about the Offensive Magics class, but trust me. You will hate me if I do." Grinning as the woman accompanied her she looked around at several students filing out of classes. Most looked like they had been beaten over the head with a whooping tree limb. Rolling her eyes and hoping she didn't start walking around with that same warn down expression, she pressed through the throngs of people eager to get the day over with so that she could have the rest of the day off.

Looking around she said "Hey Riku? When the hell do we eat around here? I'm fracking starving!"

As soon as Hikaru asked about food Riku's stomach growled and she pulled out her schedule, "OH wow we have lunch before our next class I guess we're in luck" ,she said in response. "C'mon let's go to the mess hall". Riku made her way to the mess hall and sat down at her normal table, the small woman was there again eating her lunch before Riku had made it over to her. She waved at her then looked to Hikaru and motioned for her to come sit with them.

She made her way over to Riku and the other woman. Sitting down it wasn't five minutes before April showed up and popped down beside her, immediately launching into this epilogue about this cute guy she met. Grinning and rolling her eyes, she cut into the conversation long enough to introduce her. "Riku, unknown girl, this is April. April meet Riku and Ms. Unknown." As soon as she had gotten the introductions out of the way, the plate before her began to fill with food and her stomach let out a less than lady like rumble. "I second that motion!" she said laughing and digging in.

"But Hikaru! You have to meet him!" April chimed in, to which Hikaru just stared at her. After a long moment the woman went silent and Hikaru spoke in a flat tone. "April, sweetie?" she said before setting a bite of food down. "Please tell me you haven't failed to notice the obvious yet..." she said suddenly glowering at the young woman.

"Failed to notice what?" she asked suddenly very curious.

The girl sitting next to Riku blushed then said, "Hi April" in a quiet tone. Riku looked over to April and waved, she didn't want to talk with her mouth full and had just taken a bite of food. She listened as Hikaru and April talked wondering what the obvious was, "Yeah what did she fail to notice cuz' I think I've missed it as well" ,Riku said jokingly. She shot Hikaru a smile to show her she was just playing around. Riku continued to eat her food as she waited for Hikaru to answer.

Smirking at Riku she said "Well you not seeing it I can unterstand. But April not seeing it is kinda insulting." Sticking her tongue out at her friend she watched a puzzled expression creep over her face and said "Oh never mind sweetie." she said rolling her eyes. She was surprised honestly. She'd assumed some of the looks that April had given her were looks of interest. It kinda deflated her a bit to find out they weren't but she liked things with April the way they were. After all, they just met. Things would get a little weird if she pulled that cat out of the bag and proceeded to beat it across the table.

"Anyway, I'm really not interested in meeting your new boy toy just yet." She said, causing April to blush. The act made Hikaru's eyes widen. "Already???" she nearly shrieked, "When in God's name did you find the time??" she asked shrilly.

April blushed brighter and held up her hands "Its not like that Karu! I haven't even told him I like him yet!"

This immediately caused Hikaru to frown. "Wait, your fawning over a guy and blushing like you made the beast with two backs, but you haven't told him how you feel? Good grief." she said and promptly picked up a fry off her plate and began eating.

Riku laughed as the two went back and forth, she began to dig into her second plateful as she listened. She had an idea what Hikaru was talking about but didn't really want to ask after all they had only met a few hours ago. When Riku was finished eating she waited for everyone else to finish before standing up, she looked to Hikaru, "So do you still want me to walk with you to your next class"? She asked curiously wondering if she was still interested in the offer.

Looking up at Riku she nodded. "Sure. It beats being late on my first day. They weren't exactly user proof with the schedules." she said pulling hers out and holding it up to show that the schedule had been ink blotted by mistake when Hikaru had taken the liberty to correct her sudden course change that morning.

Standing up, she tucked the schedule away and smirked. "Okay, my valiant knight. We ride!" giggling she picked up her bag and shuffled Chidori on her shoulder from it, winking at April as she ogled the creature. Turning back to Riku she proceeded with her, walking step in step.

Riku smiled when Hikaru agreed to walk with her, "Alright then we should make it just in time then after if you want I'll meet up with you in the hall and we can walk together to the next class" ,Riku suggested. It was nice to have a friend at the school and she liked the girl, in fact she liked maybe a little more then she should.

When they got to the classrooms Riku went into the Offensive spells classroom and sat down at her desk.

Making her way into Defensive Magics, she immediately noted the greying haired guy who's asshole seemed to have gotten way to friendly with a local stick. She sat down, not wanting to waste anymore energy than she already had. She was nearly exhaulsted and had a full day ahead of her. She had agreed to meet Riku after class and walk with her to the next class. If she remembered correctly, it was Custom Spell Construction. There had been little notations next to the class that explained they would be learning the nature of the word association with magic. Though words weren't required to do it, it was an area she had heard little about. Something about being able to used just the power of the mind.

Mentally shrugging off the thoughts, she settled her bag on the floor, to which Chibi immediately jumped out and took its increasingly cutsom position on your shoulder. Professor Harris started to make a statement on the thing but then stopped as if even mentioning it was beneath him.

The class was rather elementary, a simple disarming spell as Riku had predicted. Just a different variation of something they had picked up in earlier years. Perhaps they just wanted to get all the basics done. After class, she immediately met with Riku in the hallway.

Upon seeing the woman, she stopped and said "That man's parents must have mated with vegetables... He has the IQ of a potato." Her expression set in hard lines. The professor had spent most of the lecture berating his peers and the students alike and Hikaru just wanted to put a foot in his ass and have it root around for the stick for a few hours. It would be a waste of perfectly good shoes but so worth it.

Riku sat in the Offensive spells class waiting for the professor to come in, after a few moments of waiting the door opened Riku looked towards the door and noticed the professor come in. He didn't look like the rest of the professors there, he seemed more laid back and less strict then some. Professor Graves was his name, "Turn to chapter one in your text books class" ,he said sternly. Riku turned to chapter one and did as she was told. The class was tiring but it went by rather quickly, Riku caught on pretty quickly with the spells but other students were pretty dangerous when using a wand. Riku was his with a fireball because some idiot lost control of his wand.

When class was over Professor Graves wrote Riku a pass to go to the hospital building and get healed up. She waited in the hallway for Hikaru before she went to the hospital building, after all she did tell her she would meet up with her after class and Riku wasn't the type to blow someone off.

Hikaru shook her head "No, I'll walk with you. Besides, I can catch notes if I missed anything. Its just custom spell construction. I have five books on it that are required for the class so I can just peruse the ones I didn't go over last night." Smiling at the woman she slipped her arm around her waist and pulled the woman's right arm across her shoulders. With a careful pace she led Riku down the hall, descended the stairs, then made her way towards the nurses office.

"You know, normally I'm sending people this way or getting dragged here. First time I've escorted someone." she said joking.

"Thanks, some idiot green coat nearly took my head off, he didn't know how to use his wand and it ended up spinning his whole body before knocking him down" ,Riku stated. "And I ended up burned, hopefully I won't end up with any scars". When Hikaru put her arm around Riku's waist she tensed up before letting the girl place her arm around her shoulders. For some odd reason she enjoyed being so close to Hikaru, she would never admit it but it was quite nice. Riku brushed some hair from her face with her free hand right before they reached the nurse's office.

When inside she sat down and waited for the nurse to show up. "Oh dear let me guess Graves class"? The nurse asked almost immediately after seeing Riku's injury. She disappeared for a few moments then returned with two phials one filled with a blood red liquid and the other a yellow. "Take the healing potion first then the sleeping one, the only way for this particular healing potion to work is to fall asleep while it takes effect, come now into the back and onto the cot" ,the nurse demanded. Riku stood up and looked to Hikaru and smiled, "Thanks again". She then made her way into the back and drank the red potion followed by the yellow and within a few moments she was in yet another deep sleep while her wounds healed up.

Smiling as Riku began to drift off she replied "No problem. What are friends for?" As the woman lay there, Hikaru couldn't help but looked her over. She dressed boyish, but she still had a very nice figured. She recalled walking the woman down the hall and looked away, thinking to herself on just how soft she had felt against Hikaru's side. Reaching over she picked up Chidori and looked the little chibi straight in the eyes. "Don't suppose our kind ever finds a light?" she asked the little critter. To which it vibrated softly before going still. Its eyes growing large and somber. Solemn acceptance in them mingled with a great sadness.

It chose not to respond further. Simply closing its eyes and laying in the cradle of her hands. She cupped it to her chest, murmuring softly to it and stroking its fur just the way it seemed to like. "I'm sorry," she said in apology to it. Looking back to her friend laying on the cot, she chose to cradle the chibi in her lap and pulled out one of the books for the class she was supposed to be in titled Nature of Spells Book One Unabridged. The book weighed several pounds and she couldn't imagine covering everything in class. She began reading the first chapter and got half way through it before her eyes began to get heavy. Growling she picked up her bag and placed the book back in, instead removing the one for actual spell construction. She could only imagine the spells she would be able to create on the fly after finishing her course load in the class. However, even that excitement didn't temper the fact that she was exhausted. Slowly, without even realizing it, she began to nod off. A sleep so deep, that nothing short of smashing her head against the wall would wake her.

A little after an hour had passed the nurse came into the room, knocking loudly on the wall near the doorway. "Alright up and at em, it's time for your final class of the day" ,she said rather loudly. Riku opened her eyes then wiped the sleep from them before turning to find that Hikaru had stayed with her the whole time. A smile came across her face before she stood up, "Time to go duel, I hope I end up paired against the idiot that burned the crap out of me in Offensive Spells" ,Riku stated an evil smirk came across her lips something that was very rare to see.

Grumbling in her sleep her eyes slowly opened to find Riku sitting on the cot grinning at her. "Morning. Time to go to the next class already?" she asked becoming a little grumpy at the fact that her dream had been interrupted again. Maybe if she was lucky the same dream would pop up in her sleep tonight. In the mean time, she had a whole day still ahead of her. "Alright," She said as she stretched and rose. "Come on. Lets go grab someone by the balls and show 'em how women do things." Grinning she hopped up and grabbed her bag. Glancing over at Riku she smiled noting that there wasn't any trace of her injuries. "Seems you got of lucky." she said as they headed out.

"Yeah after the day I've had I can use a good duel" ,Riku said in response. As they walked Riku lifted her shirt just to double check if there were any marks, she was pleased to find none. When they got to Dueling the professor rushed them into the classroom which annoyed Riku a bit. She could tell the woman was one of the paranoid type people and wondered how the hell she survived being the Dueling instructor. Riku looked across the room and noticed the man that had injured her, he was bragging about taking down a red suit. Her jaw dropped and she glared at him, "That asshole has some nerve" ,Riku said folding her arms against her chest.

She looked at the guy standing there. He was about Hikaru's age and with that in mind she could firmly say that the word man didn't fit anywhere in the same sentence as his name. His casual body language indicated to her that he intimidated those weak enough to be scared of him. The subtle way he unconsciously shifted his feet when someone drew near, while normally mistaken for an action of caution or distrust, told her that he was insecure in several areas. He was boisterous and overbearing, trying to control the conversation he was in. Typical jock type, if his physique was any indication. The way he crossed his arms here and there in a guarded manner showed his need to keep his pride in tact.

She continued to observe him and smiled to herself. He was arrogant and believed himself to be a knowledgeable person. Someone who's words should be heeded. His short spikey hair and longish face gave him the appearance of self strut. He thought he was the shit. "Riku." Hikaru said in a low voice, her lips barely moving. If she hadn't been standing next to the woman she wasn't sure that she would even have been heard. As it stood she still wasn't sure the woman hear her, but she proceeded anyway. From the folds of her blue robe, she produced her wand and concealed it against her body, the sleeve of her robe hiding it as she pointed it in the direction of the young guy. She heard several people call him Andrew and couldn't help but grin at the irony of what was about to happen.

Whispering softly, her lips barely moving, she cast a spell. Tucking her wand away and stepping in ront of Riku, she told the woman to keep looking over her shoulder at him, but act like she was talking with her.

A few moments later, there was a loud cry of protests and laughs. His clothing had started to fade, ironically as he had began to make a wise crack about beating someone naked. Turning as if just realizing what everyone was laughing at, Hikaru made an act of calling the full classes attention to it by shielding her eyes and point him out "GROSS!!!" she said, drawing nearly full attention to the man.
