My sister's ex (Candira and Raven)

She sat next to him which was nice, although he couldn't really look at her and talk now. It brought a closeness they hadn't really had, well besides him driving her car to the restaurant. No they never really had a closeness about them because frankly every time they tried to that always seemed to be the day that Salina wanted some action, which at the time didn't bother him in the slightest. Now though sitting next to her eating dinner and talking about a subject one, if not both, of them were passionate about was well a true bonding experience.

His mind slipped just slightly thinking of her as Salina but that was quickly shot out of his head when she had mentioned the video games she like. His ex hated games with a passion and it was normally the cause of a fight cause he would want to save it but need to locate a save point, which didn't thrill her at all. Wait, She liked games? Yes she did she was talking about them right now and it was even better that she liked and could actively agree with some of his points on how the story in a few of them could have been so much better even if they did have superior graphics.

Talking to him was nice. Especially about games, since he seemed to light up when they discussed pros and cons of their favorites. Salina had never liked games much to begin with, but usually she disliked them because they took the attention away from her. She simply couldn't deal with not being the most interesting thing in the room. Now, Rae could understand that to a certain degree, but it got to the point where Salina just seemed selfish and needy. Her older sister would often mock her for playing games or whine constantly when Rae or Jake talked about them. Funny how some things worked out. Downright ironic.

She sipped at her pop and turned a little so it was easier for him to see her. Smiling, she liked to know that her nerdiness actually did pay off in some circles, and right now, she was interested in the one that included both of them. Right here and now. In any case, it was something fun and light to talk about.

The discussion on video games and art continued for twenty minutes while they sat next to each other. The hunger in his stomach slated for that time frame until his metabolism kicked back into high gear. He too had a high metabolism, which wasn’t an issue it helped him keep a good balance of food with his enjoyment of working out. Jake was by no means a health nut but he liked keeping his body in shape for various reasons. One he was able to move seventy five percent of everything in his old house by himself and never needed to call for help. It also kept attraction on him for the girlfriend he had for the past four years, that was until whatever changed her mind happened. Even if none of that was the case Jake kept a fit body for when his Dad was on Leave from the military. It was the only time he really got to spend time with his school, and his Dad’s deployment. The only free time they had was when they would work out together. So over the years that had been what he had done even employing his father’s work out regimen .

He set his hand on her leg at her knee and gave it a soft friendly rub then a pat on her leg signaling he wanted to get up so he could get a bit more food. Two plates and twenty minutes later he really did want a bit more, though it was doubtful he was going to fill the entire plate this time. He had been hungry yes but a pig he was not, so a little bit more to get their money’s worth was acceptable, though if she wanted more he wouldn’t complain either. After getting a few pieces of shrimp he returned and began to munch on them a bit while they were finishing up about the games.

After the items were off his plate he asked if she would like anymore, curious as to if she was still hungry or not. He already had it set in his mind he was going to buy for additional plates for their take out, after all there was no sense in heading back to the house which didn’t have any food in it they might as well fill the fridge with something, and this place had some wonderful varieties of food. Once she was sure He bought the other plates them being placed in to-go containers and they were headed back towards her car for the journey back to their new house.

She rather enjoyed her conversation with Jake, glad to know that they actually did have a lot of things in common. Glad that she could have this kind of conversation in the first place, she had to fight off a blush when he put his hand on her knee. But it looked like he was just hungry. She got up with him and went for her final plate before returning to the table and sitting on her own side since he didn't seem to need reassurance anymore.

After their next plates, she agreed to get some take out for home and paid her half because she didn't want him to have to pick up everything. That said, she got a large container and shoveled Chicken Lo Mein and Fried rice in, since it was the least likely to dry out or get slimy upon reheating. And then, they were heading back to the house. She flipped on the radio and sang along now and then.

When they got home, she walked back in with him. "Well that was fun," she said with a smile, locking the door behind him.

“Yes that was.” He agreed walking in behind her. He had enjoyed her company very much. This left him without an Idea how to continue this wonderful first day as her roommate, so he headed to his room. “I think I’ll get a bit more comfortable.” He mused softly. Even though he liked wearing normal pants and what not the pair he had picked was a pair that was slightly tight on him. The jeans were comfortable enough but when he sat they had a tendency to cut slightly into his waist, which of course would want to be removed as soon as he could. He found a pair of pajama bottoms seeing as his clock on the desk read seven-thirty. So they had been gone about two hours not a bad outing for being new to the area.

He walked back out the black and red plaid pajamas and a black tank top. Sitting in front of the television before Jake chose to slate his gaming ideas. He plugged in the Nintendo and searched through his game and finally found on, which in his eyes was one of the most epic games of all time. After a few minutes the music could be heard and he pushed the red button as it loaded his last save file. He was running around shooting spiders with his Bow and arrow combination. Then the glowing blue ball stopped him to talk. “Damn it Navi I already know!” Jake chided not wanting his gaming experience interrupted by some information for the beginners of the game.

"Me too, actually. See you in a bit." With that, she slipped into her room and closed the door behind her, doing her best not to let her mind go to a place where she thought that what had just happened between them was a date. Rather than sit still and dwell about it, she went to get in a quick shower. About ten minutes later, she was smelling and looking fresh again. Smiling, she slipped into a pair of dark grey yoga pants that fit her super well and a white tank top. She was just pulling it down over her white bra when she heard Jake cursing Navi. Her eyes opened wide and she smiled. Making sure her shirt was down, she practically flung open the door.

"I thought I heard Zelda!" She grinned and watched from behind the couch before she realized she had this on her Wii...which was still in her room. So she grabbed it and decided it was better to move it out here. "Mind if I watch for awhile?" she asked with a grin, having a seat next to him.

Jake was not a Bad guy at all, yes he swore like everyone else. This was slightly different every time a game had something where he couldn’t turn off the damn tutorial or when a character was overly annoying he had the tendency to become irritated, no matter how good the replay value of the game was. “Navi if you don’t shut the fuck up I’m going to shove Link’s pinky finger down your throat until you die!” Again the blue ball which never really had a detailed look in the game continued to speak as his ears caught Rae’s door burst open.

"I thought I heard Zelda!" He heard over his shoulder. "Mind if I watch for awhile?" Jake slipped down in front of the couch so she could be comfortable; as was his answer. Yes he could have remained on the couch but it was often he’d actually sit a bit closer to the TV. Though he didn’t want to admit it he had Myopia; he was nearsighted, and the couch made the words slightly blurry to his vision. It wasn’t bad enough to effect his driving but the smaller something was the closer it needed to be for him to see it properly. So he sat a bit closer and gave her a place to comfortably sit if she wanted to lay out on the couch.

“Alright; where the fuck is the kill Navi button?!” He chided angrily, again it was something he already knew for this game. He beat this game repeatedly and Navi was by far the most annoying character. By far Jake was not a heavily violent person but some things you didn’t do around him. One was insult his girl; which he currently didn’t have. You didn’t insult his friends; you didn’t fuck with his family. And you certainly never, ever put a super annoying character in his games. It was a pet peeve of his, but then again it never made him angry at any person it just brought out a side of him he usually kept hidden well enough.

Swearing was definitely something that flowed from his mouth more often while gaming than at any other time. A very good thing he wasn’t in a dorm room like most his age. Once he realized she was behind him though he did his best to quiet the minor rage within himself at the fucking blue ball with wings. “You could play a bit if you want I really, really hate Navi.” He said offering the controller over his right shoulder for her, unsure if she had moved from behind the couch.

Okay, well color her disappointed that as soon as she sat down he moved onto the floor. Then again, he was playing Ocarina of Time, the best Zelda game of all time in her opinion. She grinned as he released a litany of colorful curses at the pixelated fairy and groaned with him as the fairy disrupted his gameplay to tell him what the creature he was fighting was called. Again. She laughed at some of his rage, impressed by the fact that he seemed to cool off a bit when he offered her some game time.

"I shall not fail you," she said, filling her voice with a half-teasing note of awe. And then she was off, picking up where he left off, collecting items like a pro and navigating the dungeon he'd been in well. Apparently they had both played a great deal before. "God, I love this game."

“I do too, now if they had learned to shut Navi up instead of being so annoying it would increase the replay value. Or at least have an option to hide the tutorial.” He sat back up on the couch since he wasn’t playing anymore. He moved down the couch a bit hanging his legs off the arm at the knees and laying his head on a couch pillow right next to her hip. He had a tendency to not think things through entirely and took up most of the couch, which he had previously moved off of just so she would be able to do this very thing. This had been the case with his absent mind at this exact moment, which from a relationship point of view would have been well something that could have been sweet with forming a closeness. This only showed that he was comfortable around her, and wasn’t thinking anything that could really make their living arrangement awkward.

Jake was about to open his mouth and give her advice on where to go next, somewhat mistaking who was playing. Before he could though she was already on it, and it was kind of sexy to him. She continued to move Link through the Deku Tree so it the main character could remove the curse. Any Gamer that played and beat this game knew that even beating the Queen Gohma wouldn’t save the old tree, but it was fine as this wasn’t the end of the story but only the beginning. Unfortunately though Navi stayed just as annoying through the entire game, though it did introduce a number of other players that Jake thought would be an amazing sexual pairing for the Hero; Saria being his favorite choice.

Rae didn't mind his ranting--she'd done enough of that on her own time about this particular character. For now though, she figured it would be best to just make little quirky comments when she missed a landing or the camera decided it didn't want to cooperate with her. Each time, though, she found a way around it. The Deku tree was easily her favorite level because she'd played it so damn often that it was ridiculously easy to beat. The redhead really got into the game, and by the time she found the boss key, she was ready for battle.

It was because of this particular focus that she didn't realize how close he really was to her. She didn't see the way he'd decided he could drape himself over the couch. Apparently, he wasn't worried about space being an issue after all, which would have given her confidence a boost had she been paying attention. Finally, she defeated Queen Gohma, getting both a piece of heart and one of her favorite cut scenes in the game. Sad? Yes. But oh, so glorious.

At this point she saved and turned to hand him the controller, only to notice their new positioning. She smiled and handed it to him victoriously. "And that is how you do it."

Ah yes the classic running across the fields of Hyrule to reach the Castle. Unfortunately He hadn’t reached the gates before the sun set, which he didn’t mind at all he ran around during the night fighting the skeletons as they popped up amusing himself at how pathetic the undead fought. Once the gates opened and the drawbridge dropped he went into the town. First thing on Jake’s list for the game, the bullet bag, this was a good upgrade to have since it allowed him more room later in the game. The down side the shooting gallery, then again it tested ones playing ability, and how he loved a challenge though. Once that was over after two attempts he went for the next thing in his agenda for playing, he found the two gold skultulas and now to Zelda, the little princess of Hyrule.

He often wondered why the game was called ‘Legend of Zelda’ when she was often a sub role in the game. Link was the main Character but he only got the sub text in most of the games, ‘Link’s Awakening’ or ‘A Link to the past’ He wasn’t ever in the main title which was a bit of an annoyance Subtext was good but only two games that Jake could remember at this moment. Oh well a meaningless thought. He shifted slightly then his eyes forced him to move once again. Granted it was five minutes after he was given the controller, but his eyes finally gave him problems, he was screwing up Zelda’s Lullaby, which was not something that was easily done.

She cheered for Jake as he smashed skeletons and helped point out things when he needed to watch for them. Really though, the game was a treat to watch in general. Despite the fact that the game was now lacking in a great deal of graphics quality, it had been beautiful in its time and was still visually fascinating. Not to mention, there were enough sidequests to keep them busy for a time. She helped him avoid the guards, anxious as he worked past them in the more difficult places.

After awhile though she started to notice that he seemed tired...either that or something wasn't right. So she put a hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey, is everything ok?"

He set the controller down and rubbed his eyes from his laying position. Fuck he hated when this happened, his eyes would fuck up and water and leave focus to where he couldn’t play his game. He sat up holding his eyes closed as they slightly drip some liquid from them. It could have been considered tears but it was more along the lines of over exertion of his eyes than crying. The good was it often only affected one eye at a time. "Hey, is everything ok?" He nodded slightly before going to his room really quickly grabbing a washcloth. He moved to the kitchen sink carefully but quickly and wet the rag with cold water.

He folded the wet cloth after ringing it out so it wasn’t dripping wet and covered his left eye. "I’ll be fine.” He finally commented moving back a bit more slowly to the couch. He lay back in his original position laying his head near her hip and left leg. “It happens from time to time.” The best way he knew to combat this from his experience was to cut the oxygen supply to calm the dry feeling which caused continuous rubbing. He laid on his right side so his left hand could hold the wet cloth over his eye but still see the game but handed it over to Rae. Normally this would end his ability to play, but he had someone who liked the game just as much and even though it forced his turn to be over he was able to still watch.

Though the urge to have him put his head in her lap was a strong one, she couldn't help but think that he would have been at an uncomfortable angle. Still, he was obviously uncomfortable anyway--possibly eye strain. She'd noticed him doing stuff like this before when he was still dating Salina. Poor guy. Still, when he handed the control over she looked down at him. "If you say so...do you have any eye drops or something?" she asked, looking down at him, the game on pause. "If you need to move, let me know. Or you can just lean on me. I don't care," she said with a shrug. And then she waited for him to say something before she went on playing.

"If you say so...do you have any eye drops or something?" He shook his head slightly these little fits were often sporadic, but few and far between for him to really consider having eye drops on hand, then again it was most likely something he would have to look into while he was here. Who knows where his seating would be within the class rooms he hadn’t known if the seating would be assigned or not, being it often varied on the instructor. "If you need to move, let me know. Or you can just lean on me. I don't care," An interesting idea to say the least, but was it really alright? She looked an awful lot like his ex, which could be a bad thing if taken as him missing the bitch. The truth was he did miss her a slight bit, the closeness they had, even the physical contact, but hadn’t that all been a lie?

God that was the problem with twins, one could look just like the other but be a completely different person, and what’s worse is if your eyes weren’t trained to who was who mistakes were bound to happen. Blinded by love yes that could very well have been the case with Salina, blinded by the coy mentality of the female gender, completely forgetting the fact they could be manipulative. Much like the Widow, or the praying mantis, they could turn emotionally kill without hesitation. Perhaps it wasn’t too bad though she said it was fine, he just had to remember this was not the bitch that ripped out his heart. No this was Rae a sweeter kinder person who had actually tried to warn him of her twin’s deceit. He shifted a bit more laying the pillow on her leg and moving slightly up the couch to lay his head on it.

Jake was one that liked physical closeness and sometimes craved it to help the pain of the world go away. Yes he had emotions, but unlike his clothing suggested; he never complained about it, but feeling accepted and often feeling loved, if even by a friend helped lift the weight of the worlds stress from even the most normal of person’s shoulders. He liked this feeling and they were friends, even if he was extremely attracted to redheads, and even more so gamer girls. The type of girl that would sit and play games relentlessly, someone who wanted to earn a win instead of it being given to them. Yes that was hot; competitive, nerdy, attractive, smart, and sometimes in the context of gaming; a cheat. Someone he didn’t have to pull punches with, someone that even though he could outright beat hands down in a one on one video game tournament would still love him, and maybe even claim revenge for the defeat. God just the thought of that had him smiling, no; NO this was Rae! His ex’s Sister, wasn’t that against the rules?!

Perhaps trying to draw attention away from his eye hadn’t been such a good idea, but damn him if he didn’t like the thought of getting with her. No Damn it! He clearly wasn’t over his ex yet if he was comparing their looks like this. Rae was more stunning in his eyes, which did offer more of the forbidden fruit, and while dating Salina he had slightly wondered what it would be like to ‘confuse’ the two of them. Why the fuck was he remembering this it was driving him insane and what’s worse he had his head on her lap. No calm don’t fidget around just ignore the thoughts they’ll go away, at least that’s what he hoped.

Honestly, she hadn't been expecting him to actually move, but it was nice to know that he was comfortable enough to make physical contact. When she was sure he was comfortable, she started to play the game again, really getting into it. Her drama with Jake was pretty much forgotten while she played Zelda, and had she known that he had inner conflict of his own to deal with, she might have found it interesting to hear his side of the story. Instead of blushing at the thought of being sort of a fantasy figure for him, however, she headed out on her way to Death Mountain and Kakariko Village for more of the plot of the game after she prepped in Castle Town. She would do the side quests later on if she needed to. For the time being, however, she focused intently on the game, unknowingly making herself more attractive to the guy she'd always had a little bit of a crush on.

The day had been seemingly perfect until his eyes started causing his trouble. Now with the way his eye had been bothering him and having to keep a cool rag over it to cut off the oxygen supply his other one was beginning to be heavy. The comfortable placement of being close to someone he cared for, even if as a friend didn’t help matters, nor did the music from the game. Without warning to him or Rae he had drifted to sleep right where he lay. A dream was quickly forming from the first person perspective and he was riding towards a Ranch named Lon Lon.

It is often speculated that when a person dreams it’s because of various things, it could be subconscious, and it could also be of the last thing you seen before falling asleep. Some even go as far as to believe it the types of foods you eat before hand, or just pure fantasy, or a wish being lived out. Whatever the truth behind it might be Jake was indeed now in Hyrule heading for the Ranch in the very game Rae was playing. This felt different though this didn’t have the detail that the game had, now this had more, this was nearly identical to what reality looked like.

The Horse was a vibrant reddish brown in the game but here Epona was a deep chestnut brown with the same white mane. Once past the gate Jake hopped down from the saddle then started leading Epona to the stables so she could rest. He had a feeling within his mind this was only going to be a one night thing but visiting Malon. He pushed the stable door open and then he put Epona in the stall. He heard something behind him and quickly turned. Right there before him, stood the redheaded maiden. “Rae?! What are you doing here?” Jake quickly asked. Her features were stunning as he slowly looked at the outfit she was in, it hid nearly everything of her body but the curves of her frame were highlighted perfectly. Although this clearly wasn’t the attire from the game it was still easy to tell who it was supposed to be.

“Who’s Rae Link? Did you hit your head again while riding around Hyrule? Or Did you get into a strength match with the Gorons again?” She asked looking over the outfit he was dressed in with s for of curiosity. “I bet they even gave you those dark clothes afterwards didn’t they?” She continued on not really paying too much attention. Rae certainly acted the part of Malon well enough. Jake’s mind had told him that this was after the Ingo battle where he help Malon get the ranch back, so this must have been much later in the game from where he had fallen asleep. Dreams really did have a funny way of being confusing. But her words of an outfit got him wondering as to what he could have been wearing. He found a nearby bucket of water and looked in it and then it hit him. He wasn’t just Link He was Dark Link, or Shadow Link. Strange dream indeed Jake thought as his mouth moved on its own telling ‘Malon’ he was here to visit and spend the night before continuing on his quest.

Then nothing it went black for what seemed like five minutes and then he woke up, as Link once again but this time in a bedroom of the Ranch itself. Malon had walked in with all her Rae like glory in a night outfit. Jake couldn’t wrap his mind around this, what was going on? Then Malon kissed him and removed her outfit then his. The dream became even more graphic from the point with grabbing kissing and even those of the more adult nature. Then after all of that they were laying in the bed together naked hidden only by the cover of the bed. They rooster outside the Ranch window starting giving signs as to the morning coming in and right as he thought he was about to fade of form exerting himself in the dream he heard it as faint and softly as his ears could catch. “I love you……Jake.”

The dream was over and Jake was pulled back into reality waking on the couch by himself. A pillow under his head, and a light blanket from his room draped over him. “Odd.” He mused to himself as his head turned to the right where the TV was located in their new home. “At least that wasn’t a dream. I’m still in College it would appear.” There was a subtle beeping from his watch that normally wouldn't have woken anyone. He looked at it since it got his attention and realized it was ten in the morning. He had somehow managed to sleep in past his usual schedule, not the most promising start for a college student, but at least classes hadn't started yet.

Rae had continued to play until she heard soft snoring coming from next to her. She looked down and he lay there against her fast asleep. She smiled softly, saving the game before she quit. For awhile, she just watched him to the opening song of the game, running her fingers through his hair. He was just so cute...and so handsome. It seemed like a shame to move him. She left the clot there for a little while longer before she took it away so she could look more fully at his face. Instantly, she wished that she could forget all the little things about him that she liked. But their dinner together had only reminded her of them and brought more of them to her attention. She liked him now more than ever, and he was there with her, comfortable enough to fall asleep in her lap. More or less.

Fighting the urge to do something stupid like run her fingers through his hair or--God forbid--kiss him, she gently moved away from him and turned off the 64 so she could set up her Wii. Once that was done, she turned off the tv as well. She wanted to stay with him here...but that would just be silly. And frankly, a little creepy given the fact that he had no idea how much she really liked him and they were supposed to be friends. Sighing, she shook her head and decided it was best to just let him sleep. He'd wanted to take the sofa anyway, if she remembered correctly, so she would just use his bed. If he woke up later, she would switch places with him.

This time, she wouldn't wind up in bed with him...not like before. Instantly, she felt guilty again. He'd told her how he really only had faith and trust in her anymore, and she found it terribly difficult to accept that after what had happened between them...and what she wasn't telling him. The thought that she'd betrayed her sister was heavy enough on her...but she'd betrayed his trust as well, and it was killing her. Still, maybe it was best he never found out...No, that kind of thinking was cowardly. Not to mention that it ALWAYS backfired on people. She would just have to find the right time to tell him, and hope that he didn't end up hating her for it.

Frowning, she went to his room and found an extra blanket for him. He'd shifted a little in his sleep, more onto the couch. And the sight of him so defenseless there had her heart beating fast. He was just as sexy as he was adorable. Damn it. Sighing a little more heavily this time, she covered him up with the blanket and leaned down to him, figuring she could risk it. Feather light, she kissed his cheek. "Good night Jake..." And she kept the "I love you," deep inside herself. Before long, she was asleep herself, lonely in his bed.

Jakes day was off to a good start especially with that dream to invigorate him somewhat. He was already late for his usually workout so he rolled off the couch after tossing back the blanket and went right to work. His arms bent at the elbows putting him closer to the ground then his body pushed himself into the starting position. This was fairly easy for someone of his physical fitness, and he continued with these until he was satisfied with the result. He moved to lying behind the couch and hooked the tops of his toe under the couch. His back and abs pulled his body up from the laying position until his chest was touching his knees and again he continued this. Although he had only done about twenty pushups he was going to continue the sit-ups until he reached his goal of two hundred, which in his shape only took him about fifteen minutes going at his usual slow pace.

Working his body this way helped prevent the strain or pulling a muscle. There really wasn’t anything special about his routine just constant effort and pushing himself when he felt like it. He made sure to swim laps when he could, which made it wonderful having a pool in their back yard now. He wouldn’t have to run every day he could use the pool to work every muscle in his body and stay his lean muscular self. The Pool sounded like a wonderful idea to him right about now too, but he would do that after he worked his abs more.

Rae had woken up earlier that morning, always a natural early-riser. She made Jake's bed for him, smoothing out all the wrinkles before she went to the kitchen...and then remembered they only had Chinese for breakfast. Her stomach could handle a lot, but she simply was not ready for that. There was a convenience store not that far away--she'd go and pick up some staples for their fridge. He'd paid for dinner after all. So she went into her room and pulled on a sports bra, a pair of shorts and some running shoes. And then a light sleeveless shirt. She'd work out once she got back. It was about eight when she left.

At the store she picked up some Lucky Charms and Cheerios, figuring she couldn't go wrong with those, a gallon of milk, some orange juice, some water, and a two liter of Coke. They could get more food together another time. She paid for that and splurged for reusable cloth bags. It was mostly because she didn't want to wake Jake up if he was still asleep. Besides, they were awesome as tote bags.

About an hour after everything was bagged up, she got home and put it all away. She was quiet and grabbed a bowl of cereal. She rinsed the bowl but left it in the sink to clue him into the fact that there was food to be had. Quietly, she went to her room, slathered on some sunscreen, got her mp3 player and her keys and started stretching. About 9:45 and she was out the door, her cell phone and keys in her pocket and her mp3 player on her arm band.

She didn't return until Jake was well into his workout--working his abs apparently. She stood in the front door for a minute, catching her breath and just watching as he did some sit ups. God, he was sexy...blushing at the thought, she closed the door a little loudly and then pulled off her shoes. She was a little sweaty from her run. A quick rinse off and she could hit their pool. "Morning sleepy-head," she said cheerfully.

The door caught his attention though it didn’t stop is progression with his work out. Jake merely turned his head watching her as he continued to work out, her attire not going unnoticed by his eyes as his muscles contracted pulling him upright. He stopped for a second getting a better look at her body and clothing. “Late morning, but morning none the less.” He mused softly with a smile laying back down turning his head back to its proper direction so it wouldn’t cause strain on his neck. “I seem to have fallen asleep on you last night. Sorry about that. What’s worst I missed my Seven AM alarm.” He was just about finished with this workout and about ready to continue on with the other plan he had. “You look like you need to cool off. Were you going to step into the shower?”

His mind went to her body and what could lie beneath the layers of fabric covering that bodice, again another image he enjoyed but had to force from his mind. The questions that came with the images were just as bad, did she look identical to Salina or perhaps a mark to tell them apart? Neither the questions nor the images wanted to leave, but at least it didn’t cause a problem in his pants since his body was preoccupied. He had been planning on a quick shower before he went for a swim but it was ladies first, and it looked like she had worked her body hard. Again another thought that was quickly pushed from his mind. Did these questions come just because of his depraved body, or was it because he missed Salina? God how these subconscious questions bothered him terribly, he knew Rae was her own person that was clear but why these fantasies why this much longing for her? Was it because she looked nearly identical to her twin, or was it the fact that it was a subconscious thought about getting even with one by dating the other?

The question of him actually liking Rae as anything more than a friend seemed absurd to him. No this had to be because it was either a get even or get fucked thing. There was absolutely no way Rae would like him. Salina bash him after the breakup he knew she did, Rae was more inclined to believe her own blood over him so there couldn’t be a chance in hell she’d want to date him. He sighed softly as an exhale and cleared his mind of everything but his workout, and her reply on if she wanted the shower for herself first.

Chuckling, Rae smiled and started to stretch sans shoes. "Mmm... I could use a quick rinse. Do you mind?" she asked, bending a bit to stretch her back and then to the side to stretch her arms and sides. After a short bit of that, she shut down her music player and took off her armband. "I was going for a swim after, so I have to put my sunscreen on again. Would you mind putting some on my back for me? I promise I won't be all gross and sweaty," she said with a grin.

Okay, to be fair, she was teasing a little, but she really did need someone to smear that on her back so she wouldn't die in the sun like so many vampires...So she waited for his answer, hoping that the corny way she'd asked would offset any awkwardness between them.

“I don’t mind at all. I’ll be a few more minutes anyways.” He said softly working his body a bit harder than before just to get his adrenaline pumping more as his body worked through was seemed like his slower pace than intended. “Kinky.” He replied with a grin as she mentioned the sunscreen. Why he had said it he didn’t entirely know. It had normally been a reflex answer back in high school so maybe that was just all it was. But again his mind threw it out of proportion into thinking about the usually white product into her bare back. Seriously what the hell was wrong with him? He could only hope that it would go away once he was finally over Salina.

His answer was that of a teasing nature as it normally was back while they went to school together, well back in high school that is seeing as they were still attending school together. He listened as her bare feet moved over the hardwood floor and up the ‘stairs’ if those five steps could be called that; towards their bathroom. Just forty more then he could go and get two towels and his swim shorts. This gave her time to jump into the shower and possibly even get to her room next to his before, or as he was leaving his. Jake's body really was feeling the burn now even though this was a normal daily routine the body could only go through so much before the pain of the workout kicked in. It was like holding a set of five pound weights extended in your arms; it would only be so long before ones arms would start to burn from the exercise. After the few more minutes of his workout he moved from the floor and began to stretch some making sure he hadn’t pulled anything. From there he was off to his room rummaging through his clothing drawer for his black swim shorts and two towels, one for the shower the other for the pool.

Rae chuckled and shook her head at his answer. "Alright then. I won't be too long." With that, she went to her room and closed the door behind her. A moment later, she came out wearing a robe, her hair pulled up and away from her face. She scuttled into the bathroom, a swimsuit in hand and before long she was in the shower, the door closed to him. by the time he was finished with his workout, she was finished in the bathroom. She smelled good again and she'd combed and braided her hair tightly so that it would stay out of her face. A few minutes later, she was perfectly covered in sunscreen...well, except for her back. Already in her swimsuit, she headed out into their common space, feeling human again. She took the bottle and grabbed a beach towel for the pool, slipping into her flipflops too. "Hey Jake? Are you around?"

"Hey Jake? Are you around?" His hand was on the doorknob to leave his room in the middle of the house. He hadn't changed completely but he had removed his sweaty tank top, two towels in hand as well as his black swim trunks he stepped out of the room. His lean built muscles more evident than they had been from the start. While he was dating Salina he hadn't really roamed around without a shirt one at her house. Now though since they were now living in the same house his habits of roaming around topless in his old home seemed to have followed him.

"I'm right here." He said softly he kept the towels in his hands as he closed the door. He noticed the sunscreen in her hands and next her amazing swimsuit. "I'll be able to do that for you once I'm out of the shower. I don't think you would want me to be sweaty since you just got out of the shower." He went into the bathroom then pulled his pj bottoms off and tossed them by the door. Jake then got into the warm shower then turned the water on and grabbed the bar of soap that had in the towel previously.
