The ground quite literally shook as several thousand feet hit it in near unison every second. The ten thousand man assault group gathered of men from the thirteen countries of the 'light alliance' marched deep into enemy territory. The march had already seen over 50 miles into enemy territory, yet they had not seen a single soul. They stumbled upon two different villages completely empty. The higher ups were beginning to get nervous, they had planned an open battle in generally clear plains lands. They were falling into an area where armies could be concealed in the forests, in the distance. Archers were to keep arrows in hand at all times, and the small centaur cavalry group followed the main mass close behind. Mages were in with regular soldiers, and almost every type of combatant was seen. There were knights with thick plate armor, as well as men who had no armor or even a weapon.

Rosheen walked among the men, he trembled a little with the nervousness. He'd never been involved in a real battle, mainly since the last war was a decade before he was born. He was scared but proud to be here. They had actually requested Rosheen's accompaniment by name to his king. He had excelled at almost every magical study in his home towns college of magical arts, mainly though at destructive and war magics. Never did he think he'd have to use it but here he was, his name known by nearly every man on his side of the battlefield despite being only 20 years of age.

His chin length black hair blew in the wind, and he picked up a scent. The scent of magic was strong in the air, any magician worth being here had to smell it too. He wondered if he should let someone know about it, but was too nervous to speak up. Something was up, the battle would be starting soon. He grabbed the collars of his long trench coat, and adjusted them, looking around at all the soldiers, from his country who made up the area around him. They were all equally as nervous as him, but looked a lot tougher and didn't show it. It didn't make him feel all that confident.

He sighed as he continued to walk as the smell got stronger in the air. It wasn't soon before shouts of "The Enemy!" were heard. Rosheen noticed something off almost immediately they were coming from every direction except for the direction they were marching. The force quickly scattered in three directions as arrows, magic and screams filled the air. Rosheen knew why he was here the moment he saw the splatter of blood not twenty feet in front of him and he broke into a sprint towards the enemy, it was time to show what he was made of. The light can't afford to lose the first battle of the war.

Davina wasn't new to fighting but she was new to fighting as she had to train against many races to get herself in shape for wars like these. Her long white hair was braided back from her face with her wearing a leafy green bikini top with green cloth loin cloth that was made to cover her virginhood. Her make up was down played from its usual bright pinks, purples and blues to the hues for green like the other males of her race. Davina was the best archer like the others but she was skilled with blades as well. Though as they moved further and further into the lands of their enemies she was getting uneasy about this. "I don't like this, Bothamere." She said to a bit more bulkier human who was strickly warrior but her race was friendly and looked at their races as family but she knew her weaknesses and depended on Bothamere to watch over her.

The more further they went into the forest she placed her hand on the large oak and felt it tremble. Her breath was captured in her chest and she heard it Orks, trolls and vampires with the walking dead approaching. Wars she was new to and here was her test. Faes stayed in the trees as they lunched arrows at the front lines in every directions but she heard howls of shapshifters turning and attacking the enemies. Her heart was racing as she hear Bothamere yelling to her to assit. Nodding as she shouldered her bow and jumped down along with a few other blade baring Faes. Her light catching wings were angled and blinded a few people where Bothamere hacked into them but one got past him to her. All she did she leap into the air with ehr wings out as her blade sliced the creature's head off, after three swings.

The battle was strainging as there was a space left open where she used her wings to thrust herself forward with such speed her twin blades came out and heads went rolling with blood covering her sleek form as specks of blood was coated in her white hair and blood was dripping from her thin wings but her friends she fought with stuck by her as some of the enemies came closer to them.

Two of Rosheen's own kind dropped dead in front of him there blood almost pouring out to cover the ground beneath them. The culprit was a vampire who eyed Rosheen as its next victim. The vampire licked the claws it had used just moments ago to rend through the steel armor of the two fallen human knights at it's feet before it began to move forward. Rosheen saw the vampire and was frozen for a moment, this beast saw him as both an enemy and a food source, the look of the predator in it's eye was terrifying for anyone to gaze upon especially knowing you were it's next target. Rosheen was barely able to counter it's inhuman speed with his specialty, wind magic. The powerful ripples in the wind went straight through the vampire just as it had reached him. However the arcing hand that went through the air towards his throat was way very off target with a strong case of no loner being attached to an arm. The vampire fell into several pieces as the wind blades had torn threw it. Cutting straight nearly perfect layers into the corpse. The vampire burst into ashes it's momentum covering Rosheen from head to toe in it's remains. Coughing for a moment he looked on for his next adversary. Rosheen used several types of magic in different situations dispatching several foes, as the battle raged on. However he soon began to notice, the enemy just kept coming. For every one they had taken out, two took it's place. He was quickly growing exhausted using the very extent of his power, to pull off powerful and precise techniques to instantly take the enemy out of the battle and out of this life. However he could see they were out-numbered and this began to worry him.

He was running to help a group of barbarians with his magic when something he saw took him completely out of the battle for a moment. It was a beautiful Faery woman. Her appearance was captivating, and if she hadn't had weapons in her hands he'd have questioned her place on the battle-field. Her grace kept him awe-struck for a moment. He changed course to move closer to this woman. Maybe if he helped her out he'd get to talk to her after the battle. He threw a few more wind blades into a crowd of enemies as he made his way to help the Fae. He smiled as he looked at what she was wearing, it's like she had no fear, and if you asked a human woman from the capital... no modesty.

Davina didn't noticed as Bothamere grunted as his brother blocked a sword from a large troll. "Davina! Get ready!" He yelled out as the tiny women who stood around 5`3 had tucked her blades together. The large man turned and grabbed Davina by her waist and threw her as high as he could. The tiny fae woman was sent high into the air and her transluenct wings spread out along with a few other faes in different areas. Davina pulled her bow out with several different arrows along the string. The arrows were traced with posion but once they were release they sang through the air. Davina and the others managed to hover long enough to launch two more rounds of their special arrows. They were aimming to slice the enemies not kill them by the arrows themselves.

"Bothamere!" She yelled out as she soon fell right into another warrior's grasps but it was a vampire's. His golden eyes captured her heart as her heart soon slowed down with his claws digging into her sides but she heard Bothamere yelling to her to snap out of it as the vampire sank his claws into her ribs making her cry out in pain with her silver blood dripping down the monster's hand. At this point she knew if she struggled this man will kill her where she was and she wouldn't have a chance on surviving if someone came to her rescue.

He watched as she zoomed into the air thinking it was quite a show the fae could put on. Showy but effective, as they rained arrows down on the enemy. watching her as she came down he looked and noticed a problem with her trajectory. He watched as the vampire caught her and began to claw at her, Rosheen didn't remember making the conscious decision to begin sprinting full speed at the vampire but he was half way to it by the time he even had a plan. The vampire was too close to her to use wind magic, or in reality the majority of his magic, it took more focus to tone some of his spells down than to power them up. So he quickly created a a fire ball in his hand on the run and dove as he saw the silver blood, drip off the vampires hands. His left hand with the fireball smacked it right in the face, and his right hand smacked it in the back of the head. The vampires head erupted in a ball of heat that was contained around it's head by the barrier Rosheen had created in his right hand. The heat could be felt through the barrier as well as bright white light created from it's intensity.

When the flames cleared the vampire had been beheaded and it's body disintegrated into ash. The Fae woman and Rosheen both fell to the ground in a pile of ash and he was by her side in an instant. He cradled his left hand into his stomach put his right hand behind her shoulders to partially lift her head up. " Miss are you alright" he asked worried about the beautiful woman that lay on the ground beside him.

Her eyes opened in fear as she wished she could show no fear to this creature but her nature kept her from hiding it. The creature grinned at her but before she knew it the vampire was gone and she was on the ground in the arms of the mage. Looking up as Bothamere suddenly appeared covering the two while Davina was trying to recover from the shock. "I'm alright..." She said as she looked up at the young mage wondering how did he manage to quickly get to her. Looking up at her friends seeing them slowly driving the enemy back from the starting line as some would say. Men and women fell and so did Faes and shapshifters.

Davina slowly stood but her knees buckled under her as the claw marks were deep in her skin and she lost some blood. Shuddering from the affect as she knew her skin would turn blue when they healed and she didn't want that. Even if she could hide it with make up but finding one that was thick enough and the color of her skin would be the challenge.

" Hold still! I can stop the bleeding with my magic but I can't completely heal the wound." He holds his hands above her wounds and a white light flashes. The wound looks almost exactly the same, except there was no new silvery blood leaking out of it. "We need to get you off of the battle field." Rosheen looks around as he stands to his feet. The main force of the 'Light Aligned' was down to about half of what they started with. Their forces were scattered and fighting still on three separate directions. The enemy had lost twice the number of soldiers as the 'Light Aligned' however it looked as if they had that number again to lose. The majority of the soldiers left fighting seemed like they were injured or dead on their feet fighting against the enemy. From carrying heavy armor and swinging there weapons, and exhausting themselves against a strong enemy after a forced march deep into enemy territory, the remainder of their war fighting ability seemed lost. Rosheen looks down at his left hand, it was charred black from his own spell used to save the Faery lady beside him. He turns to Davina, " listen if we want a chance at survival, then we need to make a run for it now." He points out with his hand in a direction further into enemy territory, "the enemy isn't coming from that way, it's our only chance of surviving, but we have to go now while they still have someone to fight."

Davina stopped moving as she took his help on stopping her wounds from bleeding but when he suggested on running she shook her head. "We can't leave them." She said with her turning her green eyes to Rosheen as to her he was talking about betraying their friends in arms. "I'm not leaving my brothers and sisters in this mess, Mage." She said as she got to her feet hearing her friend Bothamere yelling for her to run but she pulled one long arrow of her quiver and set it in the slit. There she pulled it back with her arm trembling. "Got to make this..." She muttered softly as it was clear she was in pain and she was struggling.

The moment she let the large long arrow go a troll had leaped at her but the arrow easily sailed through its chest to its long awaited targets in that long line.

Bothamere turned to the mage with him hitting a vampire in its throat. "Get her out of here, she's a fledling compared to her brothers and sisters. She hasn't reached her adulthood point." He said panting with him keeping an eye on Davina as vines came out of the ground reacting to the violence around them. The vines wrapped themselves around a number of enemies and threw them far away while others made themselves spears.

Rosheen listened to Bothamere over her, he knew this battle was doomed. He turned to look at his chosen escape root. It was closing quickly but he could make it with his power. He focused his power for a moment his right hand beginning to glow blue. "Faery woman!" He called out to her, before placing his hand behind her back, "Sleep!!" he screamed as he used a lot of his ability to cast a basic spell. She had no chance of staying awake, as she saw him as an ally. Spells like this usually only work if you don't see them coming. He through her limp body of his shoulder and nods to Bothamere before taking off. Rosheen begas to chant what sounds like non-sense as he carries Davina's body from the battle-field. The chant was more or less a focus to channel his power into a barrier around the two, one which arrows were bouncing off of, and once enough power had been put into it, made them invisible to the naked eye. He didn't carry her far, but deep into the woods, where they could no longer hear the sounds of battle. He set her down against a tree, and only made it two or three steps before collapsing. His body was physically and mentally pushed to its limits. He struggles to stay awake but quickly loses consciousness as his body tries to force him to take a break.

She was busy fighting when her blades slipped from her hands and she was out cold. The others fought to keep the attention on them and keep the enemy at bay but they soon parted as others scattered in the forest shadows. While Rosheen passed out their allies found them and stayed in the shadows as if watching over them. A few wolf shapeshifters stayed in the distance while Bothamere and a few others managed to find them. Bothamere picked up Rosheen while a centuar had Davina placed on his back. It took awhile for the group to find a secure area to sleep and recover for the evening but they managed to find a large tree that was shelter enough for them all.

Rosheen had a nightmare in his state of unconsciousness. One that involved all sorts of demons, fighting with the enemy. Fighting to help end that allies. Dark angels and demons tortured them while the orcs and vampires pulled the strings. He woke up with a scream, his vision was fuzzy and his bearings weren't quite straight and the dark figures moving around him were terrifying at the moment. His hands held balls of fire in them as he prepared to defend himself against what turned out moments later to be his allies when the fog of sleep wore off. He didn't really recognize anyone, but once they were sure he was alright and wasn't going to harm anyone he went up to the only one he had seen during the battle. "Hey big guy? Um.. I had a question is the Faery girl doing alright? She had some pretty nasty wounds on her sides, I'm really hoping I didn't make them worse when i decided she needed to get out of there."

Bothamere looked at the screaming mage and shook his head. Outside on the tree branches Davina was getting her wounds treated. "Nah! She'll be fine. Her healer is out there with her. We managed to find you through shapeshifters and they watched over you until we got to you. They had us out numbered so we ran..." He said as he listened to the wind outside but soon it was raining which was good since it'll cover their scent from vampires and such.

"We're a minimum of fifty miles away from friendly territory, with the injured and all the obstacles that are going to be in our way it's gonna be a lot harder than that battle to make it home. They've probably got hunting parties out looking for us right now. Not to mention how close we are to the Wylds. The chaos magic in the air is giving me nightmares, and I don't even wanna guess as to how many demons cross the border. This is gonna be one hell of a test for us all." Rosheen's face looked grim, in his mind the goal was to get the few remaining survivors home safely, which would be a monumental task in its own. He looked down at his clothes, covered in dirt, ashy residue, and blood. What a sight he must look, probably more capable and fight worthy than normal. He was a man of magic he wasn't really muscled like most of the men around them. "I'm gonna go see if there is anything I can do for the wounded. I may be really bad at healing magic, but I've got a lot more raw power than most magicians who took part on the battlefield today." Rosheen ran off to find the wounded, his true motives were to see the Faery girl again, but he felt it was better off if they didn't know this.

Bothamere watched the maga take off as everyone who was wounded was inside the tree, except for the shapeshifters and the faery people. Sighing as he went back into the back of the hollow tree to rest.

Outside Davina was healed but she managed to make it down with the aid of the branches moving. Groaning softly as her muscles were stiff from being out for so long and being so still. Standing on the ground as her transluect wings hung low to the ground showing how miserible she is. "Where is he..." She asked as she was fighting a throbbing headache but she felt viberations off to her right but when she looked to her right she noticed Rosheen approaching in her direction. "You could have gone bit more gentlier when you knocked me out....Also why me?" She asked as she moved walking up to him with vines slithering across the grounds as if it was her alert system.

(Sry this is finals week and got two tests due today and before tomorrow at midnight)

He was startled by her accusations, he knew she had wanted to stay on the battle field but he hadn't expected her to be confrontational about the fact that he forcefully removed her from the situation. " I don't know why you. Partially the fact you were already injured. Partially the fact you're someone I can actually carry, and partially something I'm not quite sure of. I just really felt like I didn't wanna see you die there on the battle field." He looked at her for a moment his black hair blew in the wind. " At least you're here today though right? We have a chance to get home and rejoin the fight, but we couldn't have done anything more in that battle. We were outnumbered, outmatched and thoroughly out fought." He was just rambling now, trying to explain himself to her. Rosheen was really trying to make sure she didn't hate him.

Standing there as she listened to him ramble on about why her. "There were others who were wounded as well." She pointed out as she stepped past him. Though she looked to the tree tops listening to the wind and the howls of wolves nearby. Listening very closely but her position of her wings didn't change. She didn't like being forced out of there when her wounds weren't that bad but she couldn't change it now. "Might as well get some sleep, Mage."

"We need to leave soon, as soon as the wounded are stabilized and able to me moved." He turned to walk away he felt slightly defeated at the fact that she was angry at him. Although one thing in the back of his mind was that he was happy she was around to be mad at him. He took a few steps in the opposite direction this type to actually go and check the wounded. " Who is taking charge of the survivors, do you know by chance?" The entire battle-group wasn't really well led from the beginning, there were a couple officers represented from every country to lead the group, but rarely did they ever agree on anything. There was a huge argument after twenty miles into the country whether they should turn towards a large city to the east or continue on their current course. As things sit the survivors are without leadership, on the western border of the Troll country and the Wilds.

"I was out so I don't know who is in charge." She said to him calmly wondering if he was actually thinking or just asking random questions. With her back still facing him she looked to the shadows of the forest as it seemed to quiet for her. Silently she walked into the tree seeing most of the people were asleep and moving sleep deprived people wasn't wise as they can get noisey.

"Bothamere...." She called out only to hear his slight grunt. Her steps was silent as she reached him and spoke to him about who was in charge but she learned no one was offically since the men just followed his lead. Davina nodded to him but yawned slightly as Rosheen's spell still clung to her slightly.
