In the beginning everyone knows the story of how Adam and Eve came to be but little is known or heard about Adam’s first wife; Lilith. Some say that Lilith tried to fight Adam for the top position in sexual acts and when she was unable to attain it she left him but the truth behind that is a bit sketchy. What is even less known is what happened to her once she did leave Adam and the garden of Eden. Some say she slept with one of the arch angels and was then listed in the bible as one of the filthy creatures a man was to never touch. Her story however was never told; or was it?

In the secret texts entrusted to Saint Ann’s at the turn of the 20th century were the scrolls of Lilith and the promise she made with God when he created her from the same earth he made Adam from. The oldest form of language was used to write the scrolls and no one alive could have translated but a demon or angel; not even Lilith herself. Yes the old girl is still alive but how? While the rest of the world was denied the right to be born over and over she was cursed with the task. Every life she would die and the next she would be born again with no idea of her promise to God or what she truly was. Every life she was orphaned and sent to live in the church entrusted with the documents she had written but while the truth was so close at hand she was growing more and more apart from it.

The devil remembered though. He remembered everything but how to find the Key to heaven. He knew she was a girl on earth but no one could have guessed where she would be found. None but the demon the Devil struck a deal with, “Kill the key and the gates will open. When the final war is waged and the humans fall your debt to me shall be clear and your fall from grace with me will no longer stain you. You will be free. You must find and kill her but you must tempt her. You cannot kill the pure and she is the purest one on earth. You must taint her before her death.”
She was born and lived to be 19 years old. A 19 year old girl working in the Pit OF Hell as a bar girl. Irony was a beautiful thing and in that the purest creature on earth was startling strangers on a bar top pouring shots down their throat before spanking them with a leather strap for their birthday hits was likely the finest moment the world of irony could have had. The thick red hair spun about her as she dismounted the chair the man was sitting in and as her scantily clad body faced the crowed another girl handled the birthday hits.
Lilith turned her attentions then to the crowd and her jump from the bar top to the floor made her ample bust bounce in the tight corset top. The shorts she wore just barely covered her vital parts and let much of the creamy legs show as she took strides towards her next victim a microphone in her hand. “Seems like we have another bit of fresh meat with us tonight. Adrean has just turned 21 and from the looks of it she has been a bad girl!” A girl started laughing and as it appeared it was another girl who worked there that she was targeting. The knee high boots were laced up tight keeping them in place as she climbed up onto the bar taking the other girl with her and it was clear she did not discriminate her task by gender.

It had been a long night by the time she was done work and as she left the stage to get her long duster her green eyes scanned the last calls being shoved out the door. Lilith slipped on her duster and stepped into the frosty late November air the only thing under the duster still being the sexy work attire she wore. When she stepped into the parking lot however she felt heat and that feeling made her feel uneasy. Sister Mary had warned her against demons for years but to have one there was suddenly a fear she tried to write off as unreasonable. That was when she started the 30 minute walk to her home; an apartment in a rundown old building just a block from the church where she grew up.

Earth…. It had been to long for the demon.

He had been watching her for days, examining her routine, getting in touch with her schedule… enjoying from a distance her choice of work. Always from a distance, he couldn’t have her sensing him before his attack, that would be detrimental to his lords plan.

The memory hit him like a wall of fire, he, nothing but a lowly halfling, barely a human, not strong enough for a full fledged demon, he wanted nothing more than to be welcomed into hell like his brethren. So when the great ruler himself requested his presence… his assistance! It was more than he could believe. Truly, it was his ability to cross the barrier that made him so useful, halflings were far less common than they once were, having either been killed off by crafty humans, or they themselves committing suicide as entrance into hell, though it was only as a lowly human… He did not want this. He wanted his pride, full entrance into hell, and honours besides… All of which had been promised to him.

He quickly licked his lips, glowing white eyes pierced the darkness from high above her head, there were many large buildings surrounding the area, perfect to keeping a keen eye on his prey. He stalked along the top ridge, striding slowing with hands behind his back, an unearthly ability to keep his balance high above the city. He was dressed like a human, a long black pea coat fluttered in the night air around his calfs, shiny black square toed shoes clicked on the cement of the rooftop. He wore a smart suit, solid black as his coat, the only hint of colour being a deep crimson tie. He was strongly built, another benefit of his heritage, he towered above most humans, broad, powerful, and imposing to those around them. Skin was hinted with an exotic olive hue, deep ebony locks of hair danced about his face, which was shadowed with 5 o’clock stubble on a strong chin. Lost in his thoughts for a moment, he paused in his animal path, watching her more intently for a moment.

Did she sense him? He thought for a second that she might, cocking his eyebrow gently as he watched her pause. Couldn’t be helped, he supposed, she would have to feel his effect eventually. Taking a step off of the side of the building, he landed with ease into the darkness, only emerging after he was sure none had seen his bizarre feat.

His attentions turned fully then to the girl ahead of him, quickly catching up to her and calling her name into the cold winter air.
“Lillith, was it?” His voice was a deep baritone, almost a growl, his hands went into his pockets then, having caught up with her, reducing his movements to a leisurely stroll. “Surely you don’t walk home in the dark every night. Very unsafe.” He added, eyes grazing appreciatively over her form. Lilliths incarnations were always said to be beautiful, but his was certainly a surprise. His eyes true colour had been cloaked from human eyes, appearing to her as a soft blue, much more friendly than their true form. Indeed, by all appearances, he seemed perfectly human…

Lilith turned her green eyes overshadowed by the night’s darkness, “I know what you are and I would advise you to leave me alone. You stink of the abomination and the guise you wear is not even a convincing one.” Did this prove a lie was not so evil? Or perhaps she was being honest? She could see past the handsome features of the man who towered far above her and she continued on her way not afraid of him. Her petite hands tucked the long strands of fire behind her ears and she turned to see if he was walking with her still.

Sister Mary had told her to never leave home without her rosary and without crossing herself with holy water and thankfully to Lilith she was vigilant in her practices. The heels clicked more quickly as she headed for her home her wide hips swaying with every step of the boots. The heels were at least adding four inches to her height and even with that the girl was short and had the duster not been in the way the strands of her spine length hair would have still covered her hiding place down the back of her neck where the rosary hug clamped to make the front of her look simply like a beaded chocker.

Her home was quicker to get to through the part and she took the detour through the abandoned area and she was rather sure that if the demon had come for a fight she could give him one there. The long walk seemed to take less time as she walked much quicker than she normally had and when she stood at the edge of the park she turned to see if her was still following.

He chuckled darkly, continuing behind her, not close, but enough so that he could keep up with her easily, and with two leaps could overtake her should the need be. But He knew the rituals, the ties that bound the key to the earth, her mortal prayers and spirit objects which protected her from him... for now. No, he would have to be keen, and work a little more at his disguise. Growling in his throat at her accusation, he breathed out slowly, focusing more of his attention at his disguise, hoping she might think that perhaps she had been mistaken.

"Know what I am? Simply a patron of your fine establishment... Though I am a bit more interested in what you might do for some... overtime, per se." He asked with a wry smile, taking another step closer to her. His eyes couldnt help themselves as they darted over her body again, watching the sway of her hips, another step closer... He could feel the cool breath of purity from her, like frost on his fingertips. He cursed silently, upper lip curving into a scowl. She was well protected.

"Perhaps I could interest you in a ride home.. Truly, I only have your best interests in mind." He added, swiftly overtaking her so that he stood infront of the small damsel. He stared down at her face, he could see fear, regarless of how she might hide it, he could feel it, smell it off of her body. "Do not be afraid. I promise I want nothing more than your time." He tried again to coax her into his lair, extending his hand before him, the coldness of her pure nature made his fingertips twitch, hoping she would not notice this, smiling down to her as best he could.

She looked at him her eyes set up at his and she almost growled at him, “What is it you are after foul beast? I can feel the fire off of you like I myself have been scorched by hell I would advise you tell me what you want. “ She did not move but she started to retrieve the rosary from about her neck a prayer going through her mind as she stood before him. Lilith was ready to use it at a moment’s notice.

Her full lips could be seen better in the light of the moon above them in the open area of the park and the night did not do her justice. The soft pouty lips were full and painted with the brightest of cherry reds and the hands that now held the rosary in place showed black nails long and sharp. She could touch him, even try to harm him but she knew better from her years of attending exorcisms that to face a devil directly took preparation for a mortal and while Lilith knew she had the gift to feel demons she had no idea of her history or why it was he wanted her.

Standing there waiting for his answer she let out a sharp whistle and minutes later a growl could be heard behind him. Alucard; the best German Shepard a girl could ask for.

He took a step back, pondering for a moment before letting his hand fall to his side, flexing it a few times to get the blood flowing through it once again. ‘Hmm…’ He thought to himself silently ‘ His could prove to be more difficult that I had originally imagined.’ She stood ready to attack he noticed, causing a chuckle to emerge past his lips, as if this pint sized human could really cause him any physical harm. With her little trinkets and prayers perhaps, but with brute force? Come now.
A sound could be heard behind him, an animalistic growl. He did not have to turn around to become aware that it was an animal, canine perhaps, the smell alone told him that. But he did so anyway, coming face to muzzle with a full set of sharp teeth. He was unfazed, for in a much less human state he had quite a nice set of his own, but felt no joy from harming lowly beasts. They did not harbour souls, nor any energy that he could use. He turned his attention back to the girl.
“Id advise you not to set your animal on me. I do not wish to rip its head off or hear its cries. Im sure you do not either. Your lord offers no protection to those not made in his image.” He motioned to the sky when speaking of Him with a tilt of his head, tucking his hands into his pockets. “As for what I’m after, well, only what you give those patrons of your establishment every night. A little bit of your time.” He did not raise his voice, or become enraged, the image of stoic.

Her hand lowered from the necklace and she side stepped him smooching for her dog to follow, “Fine but if you so much as touch me I will send you right back to where you came from got me?” She turned back looking at the demon with a slight glare, “Well are you coming?” Lilith’s hips swayed naturally like they had the whole distance to the place and once she had arrived at the old brick building that was the outside shell for her apartment she lead him through the doors into the hall. If anything was off putting in that hall everything was. The smell, the 70’s rejected carpet with suspicious stains, and even the crack head that was so blatantly sitting against their apartment door getting their fix where whoever was inside could not see.

She ascended the steps using the pads of her toes her heels never touching the floor and once they were at the top she stopped in front of the door at the very end of the hallway. The number on the door read, “13” and by the outside around it showed little promise of being any better than the lower level and hallways appeared but as the door opened the delicate scent of her perfume, which still lightly clung to her after work, was not pouring from the opening door. She stepped inside her heels hitting what sounded like hard wood floor in the dark apartment and she moved to the side to let him in, “Take off your shoes please.” The statement was simple and she navigated in the darkness rather well as she crossed the room turning on the lights on a dim setting. She was unsure how sensitive a demon’s eyes were so she wanted the lights low as to not hurt him. True he was filth but he was a guest in her home and she was ever the perfect hostess.

“Please sit.” She gestured the smooth black leather of her sofa that sat centered with the fire place, a mantle covered in candles. The sight proved somewhere under her cold exterior a romantic dwelled but more tell-tale were the romance books organized perfectly on a rather abstract book shelf in the corner next to a chase lounge, or as commonly called a fainting couch, that matched the sofa she had told him to sit upon. The dark wood floor extended from her entrance way to the cast living room that was rather empty side from the few furnishings but more out of a clean uncluttered look than poverty. It was almost certain the interior was redone by her after moving in.

The dog parted ways with her laying on the stone edge around the fire place and Lilith walked down the hall more vanishing from sight. Some noise could be heard and after a while the sound of a kettle could be heard and rustling. When she returned to the dim lit room a tea set balanced on a bamboo serving tray brought a warm sweet smell to the room accompanied by the plate of homemade brownies that she had obviously prepared sometime that day before going to work. An ironic thing really to go from next step being a pole dancer to a domestic diva but still he was her guest and she was determined to act the part until he pushed her otherwise.

She set the tray on the glass top black metal framed table that sat within arms distance to the sofa and wether he had sat or not she knelt on the opposite side setting a chocolate delight onto a napkin where she would have had him sit and without looking at him asked, “Sugar, Cream? And if you could start telling me what you wanted that would be lovely too.” She slipped out of her duster setting it beside her on the floor and sat back on her heels in perfect form preparing to ready his sugar cookie flavored tea. She would have given a more grown up selection but as his visit was a strange one a strange tea was in order.

He followed her silently through the streets, one agile step behind her the entire way. Eventually they approached a large building, concrete and brick. It and certainly seen better days, and judging by the surrounding buildings, the whole area was a little seedy. He continued behind her, glancing to the side, catching eyes with a rather placid individual, his head buried into his coat, hands extended toward his face, a thin burning light circled beneath a small glass globe, white smoke swirling around, being excitedly sucked into the persons mouth. The unearthly pull from the man’s unprotected soul was almost more than he could bear, so much energy from one so young, and yet so wasted and available for the taking. He lagged behind her for a brief moment, eventually looking ahead, having to shake the hunger from his mind and quickly catch up with her. Couldn’t be holding back when much more important tasks were at hand…. He would probably still be there if he could finish this up quickly.

He caught up, asending the dirty stairs behind her, watching the rise and fall of her rear with a swift lick of his lips, she was positively distracting. Eventually he was pulled from his thoughts once again, stopping close behind her while she unlocked the door, her scent wafting around him like sweet morning dew, be breathed deeply, pulling in the scent of her blood, her skin, the very heart that made her human… and that other, cold smell that tickled his senses and the reason he was here. She was obviously unaware of exactly why the nuns had been so protective of her, the rituals they taught her, ancient and lost to the majority of those people who frequented such establishments. A smirk came across his lips as she entered the dark space. She knew to fear his kind, but knew not why. Strange they would keep such important information from her… All the more reason for him to treat her as nothing but a human.

When the lights came on his eyes adjusted painfully, be blinked a few times as they were lowered, making it a bit more comfortable for him. He looked around curiously at his surroundings. Indeed, from the outside this was certainly not what he expected, apparently being a stripper made more money than he had expected. He raised an eyebrow when she asked him to remove his shoes, but did so, exposing black thin socks and large feet. She disappeared from his sight, motioning before then for him to sit. Taking another look around he stood before the couch, touching his hand against the smooth leather, its feeling always reminding him of simpler times, when humans had real fear of demons, believed in them, hunted them even. But he had survived thanks to his human half, able to disuse his true form… most of the time.

He took a seat finally, sinking into the plush fabric, his ears listening intently to her movements, her actions, able to mark them out without ever laying eyes on her. He shrugged off his coat, laying it on the arm of the couch, unbuttoning his suit jacket to make himself a bit more comfortable. She emerged at this point, while he was reading the titles of her romance novels, amused with the idea of someone who utilized her sexuality so verbosely, yet seemed to have such a romantic depth to her soul.

His eyebrows furrowed somewhat when she brought out the tray, serving him, as if he were an average houseguest, placing a chocolate confection in front of him along with a sweet smelling tea. “Hmm. Thank you.” He said simply taking the tiny teacup in his large hand, sipping at the hot liquid before letting it clank onto the tabletop once again.

“Yes I suppose I should get to the point. I don’t know where this idea of demons has come from, but I assure you despite my disposition I have no desire to harm you. Like any man, I have desires… interests.” His blue cloaked eyes ran over her form, leaning forward, so that his elbows rested on his elbows, one hand crossing over his chest and reaching into his suit jacket, pulling out a circular wad of bills, setting it delicately beside his teacup on the glass topped table. “As I had said, All I wish is a bit of your time… Tis up to you what you wish to do with that time… but I assure you that should your actions be pleasing, I can supply much more from where that came from.” He put the wad of cash on its side, rolling it in her direction so that it stopped just before her bamboo tray. “Profitable?”

She gave him a curious look, “I work at a bar as a waitress. Granted it is a bit more eccentric and a little more burlesque than other places but I am also sure you want more than for me to dance for you and serve you shots. I assure you that what you want from me no one could afford.” Her tone was seriouse but her viginity was betrayed by the scarlet color that painted across her high cheek bones. The green eyes glittering at him her slightly soprano and youthful voice spoke. “But if what you say is true and I may use the time as I will I would have you return at about four in the afternoon.”

She looked at the money before rolling it back to him, “And for the time I give you I will not charge. The only price I ask from you is that you refrain from harming any humans while you walk among us. Should you break that agreement I will be forced to find you and send you back to where you came from. I will not ask your name for I will never speak it aloud. We both know I will never call you to me as I did not welcome your presence to begin with. Still I am unsure of your motives but you will leave the humans alone.” Her smooth lips moved beautifully as she spoke and even her breath seemed to be made of frost.

She sipped her own tea once it had cooled and took a small bite of her own chocolate square. “What do you say demon?” Her tone was challenging as if she were calling him a coward without ever using the words. Her hands set everything down and rested in her lap. She offered no hand for him to shake nor did she ask him to leave but she simply sat there looking at him. She was curious to see what he truly looked like. If all the pictures in her books were true but she did not speak on it concentrating on his eyes her own seeming to radiate her innocence and curiosity for life.

He was curious of her proposition, wondering as he looked her over once again how he might use it to his advantage, nothing coming to his mind at the moment, finishing the last of his tea but not touching or looking at the sweets she had presented him with.
“Well I’m agreeable to these terms… under some conditions. I require your human companions for nourishment. Not in the traditional sense however, more so there essence, their energy which makes them different from animals or demons or angels.” He paused for a moment, rubbing his eyes gently. Just talking about his food source was making it difficult to focus. He had been so determined in finding this girl and then stalking her for days that he had almost forgotten to feed. Leaning back on the couch he looked back at her, continuing. “ I don’t try to kill these humans. But sometimes during the process they do not wish to live anymore, and it is my duty to guide them into hell. “ He passed the information with a flick of his hand, as if those kinds of lives meant nothing to him. “Stronger souls…. Such as yourself, Merely need a good nights rest to feel better after a feeding.” He was lying somewhat, for it was extremely well for someone to recouperate from his attacks within a day, usually it took more than a week of heavy rest and food to bring them back. But given how strong her force was, he doubted she would need much more than a night. Indeed, he thought hungrily, one feeding from her could last him over a week of raw energy, he was sure of it.

Lilith took in a deep breath and then spoke, “I cannot permit you to feed on unwilling participants. How exactly do you feed? If it is through sexual acts I will not do it but if the need is met without such acts I will do it. But you agree to not harm anyone else and you may not be a glutton. You take only what you need and no more.” She stood then clearing the dishes and taking them away only to return again kneeling across from him. “I heard of a demon once who had to use his mouth on their victim’s mouth. That is the farthest you shall take it. If you are some sort of incubi you will need to take your lust elsewhere.” This human was strong and brave but more so she was willing to put her own life on the line to spare a simple crack head the cost of their life. “If you have nowhere to go you may stay on my sofa. It is better than you wandering on the prowl with temptation everywhere.” She braced herself her eyes fluttering shut, “Do what you will foul beast.”

He chuckled heartily at her words, shaking his head so that his thick mane moved around his face. " No, Dearest, I do not sleep with humans, and I am not some sort of incubus." He clarified, shifting himself on the couch and leaning forward so that he could smell her better, taking a deep breath before standing, coming around the table and kneeling beside her on the floor.
"I have a similar tactic to the one you specified, but slightly different.... I don't need to touch your mouth with mine, but I do need the bare flesh nearest to your heart." He paused for a moment then, pulling himself closer to her, unable to stop himself from lifting a hand, pushing her luscious red locks over her shoulder, exposing to his sights the area he needed.
"I promise my had will not stray. You may even shield yourself with a robe or towel or something of that nature should it suit you." He Propositioned this to her, taking off his suit jacket and laying it on the floor beside him, loosening his tie and undoing the top button of his black dress shirt. It would take a great deal of control to simply not drain her there, but then the key would be lost, and the possibility of becoming a full demon would be equally out of reach.

(sorry it took so long weekends are rough for me.)

She unhooked the front latched of the corset top folding it down enough to give him the location he needed but to keep her more private areas covered, “Hurry up and take what you need.” She kept her eyes on him. The gaze was cold but interested in what he was going to do. Sister Mary would kill her for feeding a demon but within Lilly burned a plan. So many he would torture in the years and so many he would bring to hell but what if she could show him that lives were worth saving or at least in his case sparing.

The plump breasts did spill over slightly giving sight to the soft flesh under the corset but her hands separated them giving him access between them where the flesh nearest her heart would be. The air around her seemed to crackle like a cold fire and when he would touch her they would both feel the sting of their opposing forces. Her breath was shallow and her cheeks red; she had never envisioned the first time she would feel the lips of a man it would be a demon or that it would be for him to feed from her. Still it was to spare the other people she knew he would take in her place.

The demon was somewhat surprised, but one raised by nuns was surely selfless, if nothing else. His breathing increased as she revealed herself to him, exposing the point of her beating heart, his vision going red with hunger. He could hear her heart pounding in her chest, echoing in his ears, it was positively palpable. His hand reached out, but instead of lying where he had said that it would, he rose it up slightly, pushing against her upper chest and laying her on her back.

“More comfortable, I promise. You may lose balance and I wouldn’t want you hurting that pretty head of yours.” He kneeled next to her side, so that he was towering over her body, his hand positioned over her heart, almost touching, but not quite.

“Try not to move, it will take longer.” He instructed, his had felt like ice, being so close to her body, but the cold shot through his arm like shots of electricity, and it made him shiver with excitement for the moment of contact. He closed his eyes, holding his hand above her heart. A few moments passed, with nothing happening, but slowly, like tendrils of thread, a blue light rose from her body and joined with him. He moaned, it felt incredible, like no other energy he had ever had before. His eyes shot open, the cold whiteness burned down to her, his breathing labored and raspy in his chest. The interaction lasted only a few moments, but it felt like hours of pure pleasure for the demon. It took every ounce of his energy to pull his hand away, it burned with frostbite like numbness, but he could feel her energy coursing through his body, barely able to keep himself upright.

“You… Are incredible.” He managed to stammer out, sitting back on his rear and running a hand through his hair, taking a deep breath.

“You alright there lovely?"

She shifted uncomfortably at first the contrast of his energy entering her space but despite her shut eyes and wincing face she could feel within him as he took from her. It was his moan that had her eyes opened again and a blush painting her face. Was he supposed to get that sort of pleasure from a human? She kept still though until he pulled away and then asked, “You say I am incredible. Is it not always like that?”

She felt nauseated and the room was spinning, “ I feel ill.” She shut her eyes unable to push back the feeling that she might be sick. “I don’t think I can move. If you have even a shred of decency in you please get me some cold water from in the refrigerator.” Her breathing was shallow and her body suddenly felt like it was on fire. IT hurt. She felt like a piece of her had been stolen and in its place was a fever.

The demon was so lost in his own enjoyment of her energy running through his neurons, firing on all synapses, that he barely heard her when she spoke to him, it almost sounded like a faraway echo, but when he focused on it, it came through loud and clear, like never he had experienced before. All his senses were heightened, he could smell her perspiration, hear her heart pounded in each ventricle, and see the goose bumps rise on her skin as she experienced what having a demon feed on you felt like.

“Hell No… Forgive the pun.” He grinned, righting himself slightly, his breath beginning to calm.

“When you feed from a human, you take in all their ill thoughts, their wrong doings, everything they have ever done to taint their soul, the more tainted the soul, the less nourishing the feeding… So, you, clearly-“ He was interrupted when she spoke of being ill, he sighed, knowing that the next little while would be fairly unpleasant for her. He nodded, getting up and stumbling slightly, unsure of how to carry this new found and enjoyable sensation. Eventually he became a bit more comfortable, walking into the kitchen and grabbing the handle of the fridge, he pulled, and the sound of bending metal could be heard. The demon seemed shocked, removing his hand and looking down at the imprint of his hand. He chuckled slightly, flexing his fingers and touching the handle much more gently, and gingerly pulling the water jug from inside, and filling a glass which sat in the strainer near her sink.

Returning to her side, he knelt again, tucking his hand in under her head and lifting it, proffering the glass to her red tinged lips gently.

“Drink. You will most certainly feel sick for some time… I suggest you call in sick tomorrow. I will stay for now; make sure you get back on your feet.” His words almost surprised him, strange, having fed from her, he felt… compassion, or something similar, from the girl gripped in the thrones of otherworldly pain. It was an odd feeling indeed.

Her mouth came to the cup and she sipped it slowly before laying back down on the ground, “You will stay with me? How often must you feed?” She groaned her body sore and her stomach turning over a bit. She tried to distract herself from the feeling as she lay on the floor her chest still exposed, “So what makes me different? I am sure I have the very same tainted soul that is not so nourishing to you. That means you will have to feed a lot from me right?”

She truly had no idea? She was likely the purest person alive yet she was worried her soul was weak? “I want to go back to my bed. Please take me to my bed.” Her eyes were watering and she looked up at him opening her eyes. Why was a demon being kind to her? She hardly had the energy to ask but she would try. Her mouth opened to ask but then the room was spinning and everything faded to black.

She had passed out but in her sleep she could feel the pain of his victims as if she had somehow connected with him. Her body was throbbing and everything felt dull and painful all at the same time. She moaned softly in her sleeping state the pain of others being hard for her to handle but it was almost like she was yearning to go towards the pain and heal it not to run away like most people would have. Was the demon in pain? She thought and even for him she wanted so to heal the impact of eating such tainted energy.

He paused before her, chuckling slightly again and placing the glass on her coffee table, shaking his head when she asked her question.

“No, no dear, most certainly not…. I’m not exactly sure how long it will keep me satisfied, but it must be at least a week or so. I’ve never felt so… energized from a single feeding before.” He spoke quickly, seeming unable to calm himself completely, he looked back down to her, her lovely round eyes filled with salty tears, could almost taste them as they emerged from her eyes. He nodded again, rising to his feet and bending downward, scooping her up beneath the shoulder blades and through the crooks of her knees, making a somewhat sweeping motion in an attempt to spot her room. Taking a quick look down her hallway he spotted the door that seemed to have the best smell coming from it and headed down there.

His nose was correct, and without flicking on the light, placed her down on the soft duvet of her bed. His eyes could see perfectly even in the darkness, and every now and again when he blinked, one might spot a glint of white light from behind the façade of his power. He sat on the beds edge, leaning over her with curiosity in his eyes. What could be going on inside that pretty head of hers? He thought, lifting a finger and gently brushing the hair from her face. She looked in pain, and he felt this strange sensation of pity. It made him feel sick, this odd human emotion, and wanted nothing more than the feeling to fade.

He had agreed to stay with her, but he could not sleep, could not stop his mind from travelling between thoughts at a breakneck pace. For perhaps the only time in his demon life, he didn’t feel pain after feeding, didn’t feel the power of his victims addictions or images of their atrocious pasts. He resolved to keep this lovely creature around for as long as possible, and with this thought, pulled the opposite side of her blanket over her form, remaining by her side in case the pain became too much for her.

When she woke the next afternoon she was sore. And while he had said she would have been fine she still could feel remnants of the heart break she felt for the people. Her hands shook slightly as she sat up and she remembered all too well the events from the night before. She had fed her natural enemy and that though angered Lilith slightly but the anger was over weighed knowing if he was going to be wandering the earth in order to find her at least no one else would suffer. She would carry her cross alone and she knew that it was best to leave the sisters out of the whole mess.

Yet in her mind a plan was turning and in her mind what she saw was a demon that could change. Who could come to realize the destruction of man was not the only way to become redeemed. The salvation of a demon was something unheard of but Lilith believed that anything was possible if she could ever feel right after the feelings she felt from the past victims of the demon. Her own soul had once seemed tainted to her but without trying to judged her own energy to theirs making an observation. From what she felt it was like the difference between junk food and organic food. Pure and crisp with only the dirt needing rinsed away instead of the awful things that entered his body through the others he devoured.

She lay back again after having sat up and while she hated sloth she knew she had to have just a little longer to keep her body from collapsing again.
