Sitting back in his chair, Nathan looks out his window on the second story, the employee area, of the supermarket that he owns. He watched down as people began to enter his building, easily able to see them, but with his windows being one-way, they could not see him. He had just got a new secretary after the last one had to be...disposed of...for threatening him, and he wondered exactly how well this new one would be. Going back to his desk, he pressed the button on the intercom that would talk to the secretary only. "Come in please. I want to talk to you on your first day."

Roxanne stood from her desk and walked to Nathan's office door, pausing a moment before opening the door and walking in, closing it behind her. Roxanne was eighteen and fresh out of high school, had gorgeous chocolate colored hair that ran down to the middle of her back in big ringlets, much like it had the day she had come in to be interviewed for the job. She walked over to his desk, looking upon her new boss with Emerald eyes that seemed to shine if the light hit them just right. "Yes, sir?" She asked nervously, hoping that her nervousness wasn't too obvious to him. Today she wore a simple black shirt that stopped just above her knees and she wore a shirt that made her look professional yet at the same time she looked cute. She also wore black heels. While getting dressed she had been unsure of what to wear, so decided to play it safe.

Nathan watched her features as she walked into the room and liked what he saw. Hopefully...she wouldn't be as troublesome as the last secretary that he had. "I'm having some...associates...comes by later this afternoon, and I require you to stay late. Of course I'll pay you extra for this, but you must follow three strict rules." He stood up and looked to her. "Do not question anything we ask you to do. I will not allow them to...Ask you to do anything that I know you would not like to do, if you catch my drift. Second, do not eavesdrop. You are to stay at your desk unless called into my office. I have a camera pointed to your desk to make sure you aren't listening in. And third..." He stood up. "Well...If anyone asks, know that we're trying to...merge...this superstore with the one over in the East District City."

Roxanne kept her eyes on Nathan as he spoke, not wanting him to she didn't see him as important. She would nod and reply with a "Yes sir." After he told her each of the three rules she was to follow. As he told her the second rule and then assured her he would not allow his associates to request anything of her that she didn't feel comfortable doing, Roxy couldn't help but wander in the back of her mind if Nathan planned on requesting "Special" things of her when nobody was around but she quickly pushed that thought out of her mind. After all, he seemed like a nice guy and so far seemed to respect her. "Is that all, Sir?" Roxy asked when he was done.

"Uh...No." He said as he rubbed the back of his head. "Get me a soda too...Don't care what it is...just make sure its cold." He said as he moved back to his desk and began to type on the computer. "The store closes in an hour. You'll be staying late today for the next four hours, meaning three hours overtime. Does an immediate seventy-five dollars sound alright to you for working overtime so sudden?"

Roxy nodded at his request. "Right away, sir." She said, When Nathan returned to sitting at his desk and began to type on the computer, Roxy turned her back and began to head for the door, but upon hearing his voice again she stopped and turned to fave him. "That sounds more than generous, Boss." Roxy said with a nod. "Thank you." She added and then left the room, going to get the soda he had requested. Sure that he had been watching her ass as she walked out of the room.

When she would come back, he would be gone from the room. He had stepped out for a call, but he made the mistake of leaving some...'business' sales on the computer. Black market business sales. Weapons, Drugs, and even some people were being sold on the monitor. His call would be his father, who was discussing how important this business deal would be and that if he screwed it up, he'd be out of the family and made sure to be burned from society's records, leaving him as an unknown man.

Roxanne returned to the room with his drink a few minutes later. She found he wasn't there so sat it on his desk. While there she noticed he had something on his computer. She looked at it, as she read she put her hand over her mouth. Looks like she had found her answer as to why the last girl quit. She shook her head before leaving his offifce returning to her desk. She just prayed he didn't pick up that something was bothering her.

Nathan walked out, only to see that his computer was still on, and the screen showed all the sales that he had. He walked out to meet Roxanne and put a hand on her shoulder. "When you were in my office...you didn't...look...at anything...Did you?" He said with a frown, watching her reactions to see whether she had or hadn't. It all depended on what she'd do.

Roxanne had been doing fine until after Nathan had returned to his office he came back out and placed his hand on his shoulder, asking her wither or not she had looked at anything. Even before she began to form an answer, Roxy could feel her muscles tensing up and was sure that would give him his answer. She then looked up into his eyes and nodded. "Yes, sir, I did. I'm sorry for doing it and you do have every right to be upset with me for doing it." She said, then paused for a moment before saying something else. "I didn't go through any files in the cabinets or anything. I just looked at what you left up on your computer." Roxy added, still looking into his eyes as she awaited a response. In the end, she figured he would prefer an honest person over someone only trying to cover their own ass.

He frowned. "The screen was bad enough. You weren't supposed to look at it at all." He removed his hand from her. "Since you're new...I'll let you off with a stern, stern warning." He glared. "Nothing leaves the office. Got it? You don't want to know what happened to the last person who...thought they'd be safe with the police. Just be a nice little secretary, and I'll make sure everyone involved knows you know nothing. Got it?"

When Roxy could feel him glaring at her she glared right back. "Fine, but do not expect me to do any "favors" for you or your buddies." She said, it coming out as almost a hiss and as he removed his hand from her, she relaxed some. Sure, Roxanne knew she was out of line but she didn't care. Roxy refused to allow Nate to more or less black mail her. "Let me guess, you killed that person, or at least your "Family" did." She said and at his last sentence Roxanne's glare became more intense, but she said nothing more.

He clenched his fist and felt like he could strike her for being so disrespectful toward him. "They'll do the same to you, if not worse you little bitch." He said coldly. "They killed the last person. They'll make you disappear and torture you, careful to make sure no blood spills from you as they torture you for the rest of your life, slow and painful. Do you really want to see that happen? You'd better watch your attitude with me."

"Nathan, if you are looking for a docile bitch for a secretary that when you say "Jump" I ask "How high", I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I won't. I will do what I have to, to keep myself from your men killing me; that is, as long as it is in my job description but I refuse to be your associates plaything just as I refuse to be yours." She said, looking up into his eyes, half expecting him to grab her either by her hair or arm.

He glared at her. "Who the FUCK said I would use you as a playmate or allow someone else to!? I just needed a god damn secretary who wasn't nosey for once!" He said with a glare. "Now I suggest you get ready for the meeting tonight, otherwise I'll do worse than dock your pay if you anger me any further. Do I make myself clear?"

"Let's just say I know how men can be." She said, not out right saying it but it was clear men had abused her in the past. Roxanne looked over at him. "Perhaps they wouldn't be so nosy if they didn't feel it was so obvious you were hiding things from them." Roxy added with a sigh before letting it go. "Yes sir, you make yourself clear."

"Good. Now as I said before, go and get ready for your overtime night shift while I prepare my office. You are to remain out here unless buzzed in to come into the room, understood?" HE turned and headed into his office, closing the door behind him and going to his computer to finish up some stuff that he was working on revolving around the human trafficking he was doing.

She nodded and watched as Nathan headed into his office and closed the door behind him. Roxanne then took her purse and went to the bathroom, going to freshen up some before her overtime shift began. She entered the bathroom and sat her purse down on the sink, taking out her make up bag and reapply any make up that needed it. As she stared at her reflection, redoing her eye shadow, she let her mind wander to the kind of things Nathan was probably involved in and the more she thought about it, she thought it was kinda sexy; the "Bad Boy" attitude he seemed to give off. Roxy shook her head, reminding herself that he was probably majorly pissed off now that he knew what she had seen as she zipped her make up bag after putting the eye make up back in and threw it back into her bag. She then exited the bathroom and returned to her desk, ready to start her overtime shift.

Once her overtime shift had begun, she would begin to see some men of all kinds walking past her, some eyeing her and some ignoring her as they walked into Nathan's room. Then they would stop coming, and all would be silent for her as she would do whatever it was that she was going to do. Then, suddenly, she heard a buzzer on the intercom. "Girl, I want you to bring us some water. Just go get a case of water bottles out of the fridge." It was some guy, not Nathan.

When her over time began Roxy watched as all sorts of men began to walk past her and enter the room and as they did she noticed some of them slowed for a moment to check her out while others flat out ignored her as they passed her. Either way for the most part Roxy tried to ignore them, not daring to make eye contact with them unless spoken to. After the door closed she sat in silence for a few minutes until the intercom buzzed before she heard a man's voice she didn't recognize instructing her to bring a case of water into the room. She went to the fridge where it was kept and picked a case of almost Forty bottles up carrying it back and entering the room with it. Roxy glanced at Nathan, setting the case on one of the table into the room before turning to him. "Is there anything else, sir?"

Nathan shook his head. "No. This is alright. Just go back to your computer and play some games and look at porn or whatever you do when you're here not working." He said as he turned to his colleagues and they seemed to stare at one another, some of them glancing at her before looking back to the others. They stayed silent...Waiting for her to leave so they could talk without someone who was not involved listening in on their important black market deals and such.

As he turned back to the rest of the men in the meeting Roxy show Nathan a glare, not seeming to car if the rest of the men saw. She didn't say anything though and walked out of his office, all but slamming the door on her way out. She sat at her desk and took out her phone, beginning to play games on it, trying to enjoy the time she had because she knew as soon as the other men left Nathan would see the need to talk to her.

After about forty-five minutes, two of the men would be leaving Nathan's office, ignoring her as they talked amongst themselves while they left. Ten more minutes later, three men left, followed by another man in a large top coat and a furry fedora with a feather in the brim, obviously a pimp. He too ignored Roxy as he left. Twenty minutes later, a gunshot would go off followed by silence. Two men would then leave, dragging out a third man who had been shot. Now all that was left inside was Nathan, holding a revolver in his hand as he had his legs propped up on the table. He called for Roxy to come inside his office. When she would be inside, to her right, as soon as she'd walk in, would be the blood splatter of when the man had been shot.

Roxy hesitated a bit when she heard Nathan's voice summoning her into his office, only able to imagine what was waiting for her. While she had tried not to look she had noticed the last two men that left had been carrying out a third who had obviously been injured. When she walked in she noticed the blood splatter on the wall and it made her tense up, she didn't allow herself to have any other reaction to it. "Yes?" She asked him, looking across the room to him. She had a feeling this conversation wasn't one that was going to end well after her behavior earlier.

"I'm...Fairly pleased with how you reacted today. Stay quiet about the gunshot, and I promise you that my little...troupe of 'gang bangers'," he emphasized the words with the bending fingers on his hands, "will not harm you. Now then..." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a stack of cash...all 1$ bills and tossed them out to her. "There's a hundred in there for you. A little bonus. The last secretary was so paranoid and against this...She met the same end as...well...the man earlier who had tried to screw me out of my business by conning me. Now then. Stay quiet, and you won't be hurt...Although...I do have to punish you for earlier. Come. Here." He motioned for her to come over to him before patting his lap. "I won't hurt you. Just need to look at you, eye to eye."
