A deep sigh passed Caitlyn's lips, as her head dropped back in the chair, her brown eyes stareing at the classrooms roof. The class was almost over, being the last of this day, meaning the weekend was right beyond the tunnel. Yet Caitlyn was'nt really that overjoyed. Just another borring weekend, to mend the borring workdays. Caitlyn had a rather dull and morbid view of life these days, failing to see the reason for it all. She should work her ass off at school, just to do exactly the same after college? Caitlyn closed her eyes, drifting away to her music, as her head gently bounced. The metalic sounds and dark rythums soothing her tested spirit. She didn't have many friends at school, mostly because everyone saw her as a freak. A morbid girl, with a guys hobbies.
As the bells rang, she stood up in an instant, throwing the black, rather ripped bag over her shoulder, and picking up the badly damaged skateboard, resting against the chair. A few classmates waved at her, and she returned it, with a small smile. Nothing more given, nothing more expected. As soon as the first foot was set outside the classroom, she dropped the skateboard in front of her, jumping upon it, and slideing down the hall. She easily dodged pass other kids in the hallway, the few who didn't make way. She reached into a pocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes from her black, rather ripped jeans, pulling a smoke and lighter from it. She placed the cigarets filter between her lips and lit the zipos flame in front, lighting the long neck. After a deep heave from the cigaret, she dropped off the skateboard, takeing a few quick steps, to get over the edge of the doorway, and past a few crouded kids. Just as she got outside, she jumped, placeing the skateboard bellow her feet, slideing along her way. She knew her sister got off, about the same time as her, yet she didn't feel like waiting. She needed some time alone in the park. Again. An angre janitor ran a few steps after her, cursing his lungs out. "I saw you skateing inside Caitlyn! And smokeing! You'll ge tto work for that next week!" He shouted. Caitlyn simply rose a hand, raising her middle finger over her shoulder, at the angry janitor, as her free hand turned up her music, the heavy metalic tunes blasting through her head once again.

Sighing softly, Jake left the office, after punching out. Another workweek taken care of. Time to get home, and enjoy another weekend. He always looked forward, to the weekends. It was'nt that he didn't have time for his children, he just enjoyed watching them through the entire day. They where the things that kept him on his feet. Kept him in line. After loseing his wife, he had been so near to falling for the bottle. Embraceing it, as his bandade. Yet his twins, flared a strong light, that kept him going. He had to stay strong, for their sake. Had to keep his head high, should they ever get down. To be able to lift them, as they did him. He never told them, how they helped him, in his darkest of times.
Jake walked from the building, smileing at a partner, nodding a single time. "Greet the twins from me chap!" The man shouted, as Jake was about to get into his car. He chuckled and waved a single time.
"Will do Erick! Have a nice weekend." He shouted back, as he got in. It was only a ten minute ride, and then he'd be home. He knew Caitlyn would'nt be home for an hour or so still, and if her sister joined her, her neither. But that would give him some time to do some chors around the house, take a bath and prepared for the weekend. He also needed some shopping done, but he expected to ask the twins, if they wanted to join him for that. The engine of the well-cared-for old Mustang, roared as he backed out of the parkinglot, setting his course for home.

The bell rang, its sharp jangle in her ears a welcome sign of the day's end. Camille let out a sigh that was swallowed by the footsteps and chatter that echoed off the gymnasium walls with the rush of girls to the locker room. She trudged along toward the back of the crowd, too weary to pick up the pace today. Why, oh why, did she get so unlucky? She never liked required gym classes; having it last period was the worst. There were much more fun things to spend time on after lunch, too - like science, or literature, or even math. There was nothing she could do about it, though, so she headed to the showers to clean up.

By the time she reached the school's exit, a lot of the other students were outside; those who weren't were in clubs or sports. Neither had applied to her in a little while...not since she stopped going to science club. Another breath left her as she walked along, on her own, in silence. It was silly, she knew, to leave an organization she liked just because someone that intimidated her had joined. Her eyes remained downcast behind the glasses that balanced on the bridge of her nose. The frames, her simple jean and sweater combination, the way she hugged a binder to her chest as she walked; everyone who glanced at her would assume she was a nerd. Oh, the glasses were only reading glasses, and she wore the sweater to keep bugs from biting her arms, but she was still a far cry from a stylish or pretty cheerleader-type. Instead of being fashionable, she dressed in a practical and classic style - the sort of look that only reinforced her 'good girl' bearing. Most people never would have thought that Caitlyn was her sister from looking at the two of them, if not for how similar they looked. They were twins, after all...

Come to think of it, where was her sister today? There was no sign of the girl, or her often-seen skateboard. "I hope she's doing okay..." She glanced toward the park, knowing that a lot of kids went there, especially the skaters. "...she'll be okay. I'd better get home and study. Oh, and take out the food for dinner, I forgot about it!" At that, she broke into a run, backpack jolting awkwardly against her back as she trotted down the street. She clearly wasn't much of an athlete, but it was enough to help her get home a little faster. For a moment, she felt a little guilty for not going to the park...but some of the kids her sister hung around were a little, well, scary. Or perhaps she was just a little bit of a chicken, like those girls said...Camille shook her head, trying to dismiss the mocking words of the girls she had bumped into in gym today. So what if she was skinny, or plain, or a little clumsy? At home, that didn't matter, and she smiled in relief as she opened to door, stepping inside.

With a twirl of the skateboard, and a spin Caitlyn was turned around, so she faced backwards, her dark eyes scouting around. She knew a couple of her 'friends' had gotten off now, as well as her sister. She loved Camille for everything she was, even though she rarely told her this. She'd much rather have Camille joining her, then her acctual friends. Friends was such a surface expretion. Caitlyn was a bad 'bitch', a lot of the other students would call her, which brought the attention of others the same kind. Yet deep inside, Caitlyn was far more fragile then her sister. She simply hid it behind a facade that seemed dangerous and rough. Fake.
Though she didn't spot her sister, but a few of her friends. She nodded a single time, and they replied with their own, two of them on their skateboards the third running by their sides. With a quick turn, Caitlyn spun her skateboard, to face the park again, jumping over a railing, landing on her still rolling skateboard on the other side. So many risky things she'd do. Yet show her acctual feelings? Never. As Caitlyn reached a table, she got the board balancing in manual, so the edge hit the benchs edge, stopping her abruptly. She took a last suck from her cigaret, before throwing it away, standing on the bench, with her eyes over the calmer part of the park. Where girls and boys like her, didn't dominate the scene. So much more comfortable. How Caitlyn wished she could be part of that. Part of Camilles world. But no. She chose a differant path after their mothers demise. She hid her feelings behind tight leather and ridiculas stunts.
"Ey Caitlyn!" One of her friends called. Caitlyn turned her ead, with a distant look to the girl, all three of them still wearing their gym class clothes. One jumped up, sitting on the table, with her feet on the bench, the twoo others standing next to it. "A smoke?" One of them asked, with a small grin. Citlyn rolled her eyes, reaching into her pocket. None of them where allowed to smoke, at school and the other three not even by their parrents. "Grow some balls, Mist... Steal your own bloody smokes." She grunted, tossing a smoke to each of the girls. The girl who had asked for it chuckled and took out a lighter, winking. "Hey, i'm a girl for a reason... Don't have to." She teased, lighting hers. Caitlyn rse a brow, stareing down at Mist, as she placed another for herself at the edge of her lips. "And I ain't?" She asked, with a harsh voice. Mist looked up, with a doubting expretion. Caitlyn was always so confusing, never really clear if she was angry or not. Caitlyn grinned, and gently nodged Mist with a foot. Mist giggled a bit, takeing a heave from her smoke, pointing at Caitlyn afterwards. "Just had gym. With your pathetic sister. It's so hard t..." Mist was interupted, as Caitlyn rose a fist in a threatening manor. "Stop fucking bullying my sister!" She growled at Mist. Mist winched, prepareing for the punch, yet it stayed with a threat. "Camille is a sweet girl, you girls better stop teasing her.. She does'nt fucking deserve it, okay? Find someone else to take your teases off on." She sneered, thundering eyes stinging at Mist, as her hand lowered from its threatening pose. Mist, clearly not the one in charge, takeing Caitlyns 'dominance' without question. Mist's eyes moved down from Caitlyns, as she took a heave from her smoke again. "You can be such a bitch, Caitlyn." She only dared saying this, knowing it didn't strike Caitlyns facde. Caitlyn grunted, turning her eyes over the park, sucking in the poison, before removeing it with two fingers. "Lifes a bitch, girls." She mumbled, her facde fighting to keep its grasp, as her mind drifted off with pleasent thoughts, of the life they had before.

As Camille ran up the walkway towards the house, Jakes car drove up the parking place. Jake smiled widely as he saw his hastey daughter. He chuckled softly, turning off the car, pulling the handbrake, as he opened the door. "Hey, hey hey, Sweetheart! Why so hastey?" He called, as he stepped out the car, stumbleing a bit as he did, never really happy about their crooked driveway. He cursed silently about the bloody parkingplace, as he closed the door, chuckleing softly. The house was perfect for them. A fairly fine place for his sweethearts to grow up in, and plenty of space to move about in. Not to mention the perfect neighbourhood. They where friends with most of them, also haveing kids at their own age. Kids he trusted. Kids he could get in touch with, should this trust be broken. He locked the car, walking up the walkway to the door as well, smileing at Camille, should she wait for him. "Hey dear. Did you have a good day at school?" He asked, smileing gently, as he walked up to her, gently kissing her forhead, putting an arm around her, to offer a hug.

As her steps tapped up the short flight of stairs leading to their home, Camille heard the quiet roar of an engine behind her. Surprised, she glanced backward, the single low ponytail of her hair flicking over one shoulder as she did. For a moment she was worried; no one would have a reason to follow her home, would they? So why was a stranger pulling into the driveway...? Then she looked at the vehicle, recognition dawning as she released a held breath. The moment she saw the figure that stepped out, her mood changed completely. The tenseness flowed out of her in an instant, and a smile lighted her face for the first time in hours. "Daddy!" With the hand not holding her keys, she waved cheerfully. No matter what sort of day she had, no matter how bad she felt, she did her best to show a smile for her father. He worked so hard every day to take care of the two of them and had to do everything alone after...

Well, with everything that had happened, she didn't want to be a burden or make him worry about her. So, with a spring in her step, she trotted down the steps to meet him. "Welcome back. Did you have a good day at work?" Like usual, her backpack was bulky, the sort that looked full and heavy every day. She didn't seem to be bothered by the weight, though, and hugged him warmly. "School was good..." She paused, expression turning noticeably sad then. "But I meant to get home earlier, so I could take the beef out of the freezer for tonight. I'm sorry." One shoe scuffed against the ground as she shifted in place. "I was hoping I could hurry in and get it ready before you got home."

She hadn't been asked to do anything like that, but it was one of the things she tried to do to help around the house. Helping out with chores kept her busy, made it so there wouldn't be so much time to think about how things had changed. Not that change was bad; now she and her sister had their own rooms, and she liked where they lived. School was close enough to walk to - a huge relief, because it meant she didn't have to take the bus. Just the thought of being crammed in there, with the noise and the bullies, cast a shadow across her features that was nearly visible. Then she shook it off, banishing the thought before anyone could worry. "Oh, I'll open the door!" She skipped a stair on her way up to unlock the front entrance. The heavy bag remained on her shoulders as she disappeared further inside, a few sounds signaling that she had headed for the kitchen after all.

Jakes eyes lightened up, as soon as he saw one of his precious girls smile. Her cheerfullness, the fuel for his own, as he chuckled softly, as he walked over to her. As he arrived to her by the steps, he hugged her gently, looking down at her bag, with a gentle shake of his head. It seemed as if she brought all of her books, for every single day. Camille had always been the more school oriented of the two. It saddened him, that he could do nothing to help his other daughter, Caitlyn, but she had to make her own choises, she was old enough to do so. All he could do, was to give her a comfortable home to live in, and hope she didn't make any far too horrid choises.
He smiled to her question, kissing her forehead again as he answered. "It was quite fine, dear.. Erick greets you both." He said with a gentle smile. Her short shade of sorrow, turned Jakes smile into a comforting one, as he gently stroked her hair. He chuckled very gently, as he ruffled her hair. "Heheey. Don't appologice for that, dear. It was a lovely thought. But you know, you really didn't have to, sweety." He said, and kissed her head once again, strokeing her hair in line again, after haveing ruffled it. "And you know, you can still do it, while I take a bath, hm?" He said, chuckleing softly, as she skipped up to open the door. he watched the bag, shakeing his head, as he followed her, takeing a hold of the bag on the way. "Let me take that thing off you, what do you stuff into this traveling pack." He chuckled softly, with a gentle smile. "Theres surely more books nowadays, then in my time." He said, if she let him, removeing the bag from her back. He padded her behind with the back of his hand, with a teasing chuckle, before heading towards the hallway, containing both their rooms. "Did you see Caity on your way? Guessing she's at the park?" He called out, as he entered her room, to place the bag on her bed. His eyes drafted a little around Camilles room, with a gentle smile, and a hearty sigh, before heading out, traversing towards his own room. He found fresh clothes for the evening in little time, his room being rather well kept and organized. He waited with futher questions, till he had the scent of motor oil and grease off of him, heading into the bathroom.

Caitlyn flicked her cigaret away, as she sighed softly, itching the back of her neck. Her eyes drifted over her shoulder, down on the chatty girls behind her. Why did she even spend time with these harpies? All they talked about was guys and who to bloody bully next. She had never been a bully, and would never be. Nor did she have an intrest in the guys at school, all either trying too hard to be 'cool' or far too secluded. Noone in between. She had had several lovers, but never really felt love. It had all ben shallow, her simply wanting into their pants, and the same the other way. It worked for her, and it usually did for them.
Her eyes moved towards the school, as the few of the guys, who was always at the park, flirting with the girls she spend time with. She rolled her eyes, before jumping off the bench, grabbing her board. The other girls was clearly interested in the flirting, so they could play around with the pricks by themselves. She threw the board in front of her, to jump upon it, and set off. "See yah Monday!" One of the others called, Caitly only responding with a single careless wave over her shoulder.
On her way towards the guys, their grins made it clear what was comeing. She was deffinatly not free of bullying, and being the twin, of one of the bullied, apperantly amused them. "Hey Caitlyn! Could I get that sister of yours number!? You clearly impossible, might as w.." One of the guys shouted, still with the same wicked grin, but he was interupted, as Caitlyn flew right past, placeing a well painfull tap against his lower region, forceing him to fall to his knees in a painfull grunt. "That'll be a no, you prick!" She shouted, as she continued on her way. There was plenty of cussing after her, all seaping right around her, not affection her the slightest, as she grinned widely, shakeing her hand at the impact.
