His entire life it seemed as though his father had one all important subject constantly going, which left no time for him. Even when his mother had been hospitalized for cancer his father never came, and at the age of ten he was confused as to why his father felt the need to focus on something other than his family. Only now that his father was hospitalized for illness did he understand, since the older man finally informed him as to what had kept him away. Somehow it seemed strange that his father would be trying to dig up information on a superstition such as Vampires, but he seemed to believe that they were the key to immortality. Which had sparked an interest in the young man, since if immortality were true then he would not lose any more people that were close to him.

Thus a new period in his life started once his father passed, and so he poured himself over all of the information his father had collected. He looked for anything that could possibly give any hints as to where he should start his searching, despite following in his father's footsteps Cayden decided to keep a normal life at least until he was out of school. So started his days in school, and his nights of intensive studies. Then his graduation from high school came which meant he was free to devote all of his time to his work, but since his graduation he found nothing of use.

Now he was twenty-eight, had been all over the world looking for anything that would give him something to work with. Nothing had shown up until he made his way back to his home, and this something came in the form of drunken whispers at one of the local bars. "You 'ear 'bout the new pace that opn cross the river? Cause I hear s'mthin s...strange goin on there...." one drunken man said to his friend as they sat next to Cayden at the bar. His eyebrow quirked as he heard this, and silently he paid for his drink as well as the two next to him.

'I hope I can find some information from this place.' he thought to himself, but with only a hand full of hours left until sunrise he figured it might be best to see what he could find on the place first. After finding everything he could Cayden slept, and made himself slightly presentable by running his fingers through his red hair as the sun began to set. He weighed in at 190 pounds, and his six foot two inch frame had several people laugh at him, which they learned the hard way was a mistake as he had trained his body for trying to find and capture Vampires. Making his way over to the establishment he looked around curiously, not having ever seen anything like it around before.

She entered the closed mansion. Her heels clicked across the marble foyer. She stopped in the middle and looked around the gran foyer, of all of her homes this was surely her favorite, she just wished she didn't have to return to it so soon. It had only been about 50 years since she was here and she was concerned someone would recognize her. But she had to be her at this in this place.

She moved through the house candles seem to light in her wake. She entered the library and the large fireplace sprung to life. She took a seat on the sofa and watched the flames dance. With a heavy sigh she relaxed a moment.

Carefully he looked around, and wondered why they would build a bar or whatever it was so far away from the town. In the distance he noticed a large building that he had not known was there, and again wondered why it was so far from the rest of the town. Only one thing came to mind, and he wondered if it was possible however he sighed slightly as he questioned what he was doing with his life. It seemed as though he was becoming more like his father, yet with a quick shake of his head he moved toward the entrance.

Keeping his head down the young man made his way into the building, much to his surprise however it did not look much different from the bar he had gained this location from. The only thing that really struck him as odd as he progressed farther into the building was the small amount of people, but he figured that it was still early so there may be more patrons to come.

Lily did not want to go to that place. She hated meeting like this. She had tried to years ago separate herself, but with her power there was no separate herself from it. She left her house which was not far from the meeting place. She of course was the first one of her kind here. She took a seat at the fair end the bar just watching the door. Waiting for others.

Stepping to the bar he ordered a drink, and once it had been presented Cayden removed himself from everyone. He chose a seat where he could watch everyone in the place for the time being, but he did his best to stay as inconspicuous as he possibly could. Carefully he slowly sipped at his drink not wanting to miss anything that could be of any use, he noticed a lone woman at the end of the bar and wondered if he should try to buy her a drink but threw the idea out as she looked to be waiting for someone.

She was so tired. Her elbow rest on the bar, and her head rest on her hand. Lily was called away so suddenly to come here she hardly had time to do anything, she hadn't feed in over a week, which were making her senses weak. Had she been at her full power she would have noticed the mortal staring at her, but she didn't she just waited. But after about an hour and her guest still had not come she slowly moved from the bar. She head out the door and down the path to her home. As she did some of the older men in the bar started to mumble to one another.

"She open up that old house, that place hadn't been lived in for 50 years" One said

"Are you all blind that is the same women that lived there once before..." he caught off by another one of his friends

"Your crazy that woman would have to be dead by now we were only teen agers then..."

Looking around from the corner he seated himself in the young Irishman carefully watched the woman exit the bar, and had nearly brushed it off until some of the older people started to get antsy. What they were saying was interesting, but the point was that had caught his attention was one saying it was the same woman as fifty years before. He had unwittingly chosen a table near the older men which gleaned this new information, yet he had chosen the table for its position and for the fact that most people would leave him alone here.

"I am telling you that is her, you two old farts can believe what you want but these eyes have never seen a woman as gorgeous as her." The one man kept rattling on how he remembered her long hair, and her shapely body, not to mention her purple eyes, he never seen a woman before with purple eyes. He two just bought him a drink to shut him up.

Lily walked the path slowly to her home, she was tired and each step she took seemed to drain her a little bit more, at one point she took a seat on a large rock, she stared up at the full moon, it was beautiful tonight, crisp and clear, a slight chill in the air. Nights like these she ad come to enjoy.
