Jugger x Celestine

"I don't care about being scarred," she hissed out. "And I don't care about what I was acting out for you. Whatever the case is, you are not touching my little sister!" She didn't move away from the door, though she did draw her blade. It was the kind that was easy enough for a person her size to wield, but it was also long enough to give her an advantage against others - especially were he choosing not to use a blade.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Rush me. Defend your sister...but know this: Don't you think your sister has a right to choose who she wants to fall in love? What if I am the one that she wants...she hardly even knows me. I'm sure once she gets to know me...she'll change like you did and she'll bare my child. Or is it this: You're not doing this for your sister...you're doing this for yourself, so you don't lose the one person who could have made your life for the better."

"Make my life better?" Hiyami laughed outright, a cold, chilling laugh. "Better? I had to bargain for my sister's freedom!" The words were hissed and filled with venom. Truly, she didn't think he was so terrible, but here he was, forcing her to remember exactly why she would never let him near her sister. "Who knows what you would do to my sister? I can't take that risk! She deserves to fall in love, but she deserves to fall in love with someone that will share their heart with their body." There were definitely some barbs there, but it was better than he deserved. She didn't move from her position despite his words. She wouldn't let him leave - she would go to her sister first... But for now, she simply couldn't allow his presence even near her sister.

Nathan blinked at her words before letting out a sigh. "Fine. Have it your way...though you can't stay at that doorway for long, nor can you keep me from your sister forever. Even if you do attempt to tell her of my 'plan'...it doesn't change anything. Well...so much for cumming so much inside you that you'd inflate." He said as he went back to the bed. He crawled under the covers, his back toward her, as he closed his eyes to try and fall asleep...but to no success.

Hiyami remained at the door for some number of minutes, waiting until Nathan's breathing had evened out. She lowered her blade with a sigh and resheathed it. "And to think..." she couldn't help but murmur quietly, "To think that maybe you were the one..." She took another deep breathe and, without hesitating, left the room, closing the door quietly before her. She needed to find Mayumi and then... Then they would leave.

Hearing her, this took such a blow to his emotion that he winced as he tried to sleep. His chest felt like it would cave in...and he didn't know why. Did he really fall in love with her? He couldn't have...Sitting up, he looked at the door and saw that she was gone. He didn't want to go after her...he knew things between them were over with. "Good bye then...Hiyami." HE said before finally passing out, a tear struck down his cheek.

It didn't take her long to find and pass the information onto Mayumi... Or for her sister to tell her of her own adventure.

"Ichiro's contract?" Hiyami asked, a frown firmly in place. "It's in Nathan's room?"

"It has to be," Mayumi nodded her confirmation. "At least, that's where he said it is... And I don't think Darien would let me keep sleeping in his room knowing that I've spoken with Ichiro on multiple occasions if it were there..."

Hiyami swore. "Well, how do you want to do things then?" she asked her little sister.

"Why don't we ask Ichiro?"

Hearing the conversation, Ichiro walked over with a gloom on his face as he approached Hiyami. "Please help me." He said pleading. He waited a few seconds. "I'm tired of talking like...(Every 3 dots is a pause)this. Its so very annoying...Please Hiyami, find my contract....its the only thing keeping...me to not being able...to talk right." He took a deep sigh as he sat down. "Its somewhere in the boss's...room."

She looked at him, suspicion in her mind though it didn't show on her face. "I will look for it," she said, "But what happens then will be up to me."

Mayumi, watching on, agreed with her sister's words, though she couldn't help but feel it was a bit unfair. Wasn't it wrong to turn a person's life over to different people like this? Still, it was... interesting. Hadn't he said that his speech was a result of a curse?

Ichiro nodded as he listened to Hiyami's terms. "Alright. I will do as you...say. Anything is better than...working for that tyrant pirate." He looked toward the doorway to Nathan's room. "You must be careful...he is a light sleeper...I have tried to steal...the contract before but he...is a demon..." He shuddered. "The man is...inhuman, stronger and faster than...anything I've ever seen...You must tread with caution...I suggest to distract him...Get him out of the.. room and distract him while...someone and I go in...and look through his belongings."

"I will distract him," Hiyami nodded. "You and Mayumi will go and search... I'll hold him and Darien - at least, I'll try to. Make haste."

[Sorry, in a rush. D:]

(Would've replied to this sooner but you didn't tag me lol.)

Ichiro raised an eyebrow. "Hold him...how exactly?" He said as he looked her over. "I know what Nathan did....You aren't going to do....that are you...?"

Hiyami raised an eyebrow in return. "What exactly are you suggesting?" she asked, her strong voice fairly crisp. "I can't say I'm understanding what it is that you're trying to say."

Mayumi watched with wide eyes, confused.

(Sorry? XD)

(Yahoo alerts me when I get PMs so that was the whole point of the tag game for me lol.)

Ichiro sighed as he looked to her. "Seduce him to distract him...he is a pig like...that. It will be easy...to distract him if you...use your body..." He turned away. "It is all I can...think of to get him...out of the room."

Immediately, her eyes went cool. "Is that quite so?" she spoke crisply. "That's too bad. I would much rather prefer a duel... Which I shall challenge him to posthaste. You may take that opportunity to search his room."

"Hiyami--"

"No, Mayumi, please don't argue with me. I may not have fenced or fought directly in a damned long time, but I sure as hell am capable."

Mayumi gave a sigh. "But is this okay with you?" she asked, knowing her sister better than any.

Hiyami gave a soft, yet sad, smile. "It has to be, doesn't it?" She set a hard look upon Ichiro. "This is the only chance we can afford you. After this duel - at the next harbor, Mayumi and I will be departing from your ship. Make sure you search earnestly and well."

(Sorry. Back! And... o_O Yahoo alerts you? Is this your IM system or the emails?)

(Kind of both. I subscribe by notification to my RPs and when they get replies, an E-Mail is sent to my yahoo. When that happens, YIM alerts me of the new E-mail with the title of the message, which is usually a alert of a PM or a reply to a specific RP.)

Ichiro nodded. "Yes...Thank you very much miss....I will never forget you....Kind services you've done for...me." He smiled and shook her hand before turning to look at the captain's quarters. "You'd best go now before...sun rises. Nathan is usually...the kind of guy to...awake early on in the...day." He went back to the steering wheel of the ship and began to wait for Hiyami to bring the duel up to the deck.

Inside....Nathan was still laying in bed. He had not fallen asleep...heart now broken, he yearned for someone to be his. The pain in his chest was so great...Nathan had never admitted to love but he damn well did love Hiyami in the short amount of time he knew her.

(O___O Sounds interesting. xD)

Hiyami nodded. She'd pressed all of her emotions to the back, not wanting to be distracted. He'd threatened to use her sister, and immediately, any thoughts of reconciliation had disappeared. She was the kind of girl that, when she had a goal, she stuck to it... And she had absolutely no intention of breaking her pattern. She would keep Mayumi safe if it killed her to do it.

"Prepare yourselves," she advised. "Think about where he may have hidden it." And then she went below deck.

She didn't bother knocking, but merely opened the door and entered. "What do you say to a duel?" she spoke, not bothering to see if he was awake. She had a feeling he was... Certainly, he would be if he was an early riser. It hurt to enter these rooms again, to know of what had transpired here, and to know that he could be so cruel.

(Its actually been really helpful to me haha. Though the alerts are usually delays or don't show up at all but its better than nothing.)

Ichiro nodded as he watched Miyami, waiting for her signal for them to go and raid Nathan's cabin to search for his contract.

Hearing the door open, Nathan remained silent. If she had come back to kill him, he wouldn't go out with a fight...He would never let someone kill him without him knowing...But hearing her, he sat up and wiped the tear from his eye as he looked to her. "A duel....What for? Haven't you got enough of a problem already with still being on this ship until port? Get the hell back on deck until we hit port...I want you and your sister on this ship or I'll kill you both myself..." He said angrily to her.

(Very cool. ;3)

The tear startled her. Crying...? He was crying? Why? What reason did he have to cry? Wasn't he the one that had belittled her so easily? Wasn't he the one that continued to try to squirm out of his own arrangements and lock her down? It confused her for a moment - it shook her - but she wasn't one to lose track of what she was doing.

"A problem?" she said coolly, pretending as though she'd not seen his emotions. "Why, of course I have a problem. Who would want to be aboard a ship captained by a liar and a cheat? No, I definitely have a problem. I'll be more than happy to take my sister and leave when the ship docks, but until then, you'll still have to deal with us."

At the last part, she couldn't help but laugh. It was a sad sound, obviously forced. "Kill us, you say? With what? Your overindulgent crying? Were you planning to lock us in a room and cry us to death? Or perhaps you would threaten us until we died of boredom? Don't make empty threats, Captain."

She unsheathed her sword. "Are you angry enough to fight me now or do I need to continue?"

He glared to her. Standing up, he shook his head. "If you're going to kill me, let me at least thank you for telling me first. I'll never die without knowing who was my killer." He walked past her, but stopped a bit past her. "When we start this duel...Just know that you'll never win. I promise you that...no matter how much you hurt me or even tempt me...I'll never let you win." He walked out to the deck, waiting for her. He had to slay his guilt...he had to slay her...she was the reason of his suffering...if she went then the suffering would go...right?

She held her head high as he moved past her. She would show no weakness. "We'll know when we know," was her only response. She took one last look around the room and headed up, sword in hand. Mayumi would know the signal and go below... And as planned, her little sister signaled Ichiro and headed down first. Hiyami nodded to her little sister as she approached her. "Go down, Mayumi. You don't need to see this."

Mayumi, however, saw something in her sister's eyes that she didn't like. "You... You're planning to die...?" she asked quietly, eyes wide.

Hiyami didn't respond, but merely reiterated her order. "Go down, little sister." Then, she called, "Ichiro, can you escort my sister down? The captain and I have some business, and I would prefer my sister not be here."

Ichiro saw her eyes and nodded. He knew her warrior way, the code of a swordsman, the oath of a barbarian. Taking Mayumi down below to Nathan's quarters while Nathan was leaning against the railing of the ship, he began to look around for the papers. "Please Miyami...do not fear for your...sister...she is a strong fighter...She will win this fight..." He said as he began to look through some papers, but to no avail of them being Ichiro's contract.

Turning and walked out to the middle of the deck, Nathan looked to see the sun beginning to rise. "You know Hiyami...it is ironic that one of us has to die at this time. Sunrise is usually the call for the life of a newborn child...not the death of a closely loved one." He said as he unsheathed his sword. He had full intent on killing her. "Get ready...I promise I'll make this quick..."

Mayumi bit her lip and merely nodded. Fear for her sister's life flooded her, but they'd made a promise... And her sister... Well, her sister wasn't going to do anything stupid. That's right! Hiyami's always been a great swordsman, and she's always been pretty good about keeping her word. She's never broken a promise! She'll be perfectly okay! She'll come down, we'll dock and leave and this will be all over! she told herself. Over and over again, a mantra began in her mind. She'll be okay, she'll be okay, she'll be okay, she thought repeatedly. It was too bad she'd always been so terrible at lying... And it hurt that much more because she couldn't even lie to herself.

"A closely loved one?" Hiyami couldn't help but scoff, feeling her own eyes tear up a bit. "Don't even joke about that," she said. "You yourself said that you didn't love me..." And crushed my hope for love at all, she thought to herself. She fell into a defensive stance at his words. "Don't be so sure I'll be so easy to kill," she said. Then, almost condescendingly, she said, "Where's Darian? Surely he should be watching this... If not helping you?"

"Darian's gone. I sent him away to the nearby village we're headed to using a new kind of boat called a steam boat...except its smaller than the actual steam boat, but faster...he'll dock within the day. Whereas we'll be needing three days. He has Ichiro's contract, not me. I never did trust myself with contracts of any sort." He said sighing as he looked at her. "I said I didn't love you, correct...But that doesn't mean it was true..." He said as he gripped his sword. "I said that because I was angry you wouldn't bare my child...I hated you...I loved you and you denied me of my son..." He said frowning to her as he began to rush toward her. "If I can't have you...then no one can my love!" He called out before slashing his sword down, hoping to cut down her shoulder.

Hiyami gritted her teeth at the blow, blocking it. "If you can't have me, no one can?" she asked incredulously. She pressed him away, but didn't proceed to attack. "You're the one that told me you had no interest in me!" Her mind was whirring, surprise filtering through her... And then wariness. Was he lying? Was he trying to lower her guard to more quickly kill her as he'd promised? It didn't matter... Not anymore. Not when he was so willing to kill her and she so willing to die.
