A Bounty Hunter's Conundrum (BlisteredBlood x Candira)

Kelly continued to watch the scenery fly by. She wondered where he was taking her, but resigned herself to the fact that she really didn't need to know. In fact, it wouldn't matter soon enough. She was just happy that she got a chance to have some more fun before he turned her in to Zio Matrix. This time, she would not run. She thought of him more as an escort back to the beginning this time. Maybe things would finally come to an end when she returned. She was drawn back to the present when she felt the car coming to a stop.

After getting off at the next exit, Dante would then drive around for a little while longer before the two would pull up to what appeared to be a condominium. This was where he lived, one would say. In reply, Dante would just look at that person before shrugging at them before stating that he stayed here pretty rarely. Man, bounty hunting could be such a drag.

Once they arrived, Dante pulled the car to a stop in front of the condo, looking upwards at it with a relaxed look on his face before leaning back into the seat and then turned back to Kelly. "Well, we're here." He said before looking over to her. "Come on. I'll show you the place." He added as he got out of the vehicle and then began to grab the groceries.

She had to admit, he had a nicer place than hers even on the outside. But her entire prerogative was to stay hidden, not stand out. So she slipped her purse over her shoulder and walked to the trunk to take her share of the the groceries and bags. She closed the trunk and let him lock the car before they headed inside. "Well, looks like we're moving on up," she joked a little looking up at him. It was interesting to think that she was going to be seeing something as intimate as his place. Well, with his line of work she doubted that he was there all that often, but this was certainly a part of him as well. "So about how often do you actually stay in this place?"

"Not all that often, really." Dante answered as he then picked up the aprons and then began to head into the complex through the front door and began to lead the way by taking the first set of stairs and progressed upwards to the third floor. Once up, Dante led the way over to where his place was and after stopping there, Dante unlocked the door with a key he had for it before opening it, showing her the inside of his place.

It was fairly nice here as well; very well furnished with some of the latest furniture and electronics, most of which came from Zio Matrix as gifts. "Come on in," Dante said. "You know the old saying. Mi casa es su casa." He added with a little laugh. "Hell, I even got a nice view from up here, too."

After a little hike to get to his place, Kelly smiled once he let her in and told her to make herself at home. She doubted that she would have a problem doing that in a place like this. It was stunning. With a smile, she slid out of her shoes and then walked in. My my but he had a fancy little life-style. Kelly smirked, recognizing that some of the affiliates of Zio matrix had given him some prizes along the way. The lines and designs of the furniture were so familiar to her that it almost seemed as though she'd never been removed from the environment she'd chosen to leave behind.

But she had to admit, they made good furniture. "Where do you want the groceries?" she asked, him. Once she helped him put them away, she began to look around in earnest, taking in his way of life and the things he'd wanted to be surrounded with when he was home. "Hey, would you mind giving me a tour? Or is that too cheesy for you?"

"Ah, just put 'em wherever you feel like. I'll put 'em up later." Dante answered with a smile on his face before he walked inside after her and shut the door behind him before heading into the living room and settled himself down into the reclining chair there with a sigh. "Man, it feels good to be home..." He muttered to himself as he put his hands in back of his head and crossed one leg over the other before glancing over to Kelly once more when she asked him if he was going to give him a tour around the place. "Either that or I can let you roam around find out where everything is by yourself." He answered with a tease in his voice before he then got up fro the chair once more then turned to face her once more with his hands in his pockets.

She set the bags down in his very nice kitchen. She got a little envious of his appliances and supplies, but that was to be expected with her life-style versus his. So she put away what needed to be refrigerated and left the rest on the counter, her bags on the floor near the door. When he gave her a choice about wandering about by herself or letting him lead her around, she smiled and watched him as he stood back up. "Well, since wandering through your apartment all by my lonesome seems a little depressing, why not just take me around? Besides," she added, putting on her best scared face, "what if I get lost in this huge place?"

She chuckled a little and then looked up at him. "You don't have to, obviously, but it would be nice if you were with me." Every once in awhile, Kelly got tired of being alone. And she hoped that he would indulge her.

Dante let out a little bit of a laugh at Kelly's tease as he then walked over to her in the kitchen before offering her an arm for her to grab onto with a smile on his face. "Alright, alright." Dante said as he then gestured with his head. "I'll keep you company and even take you on a tour of this big and scary place and even keep away all the big bad nasty things that could spring out of nowhere and get you." He added as he put on his best attempt to make it sound like as if there was something in the place that could get her.

"But yeah, it kinda sucks when you're here all by yourself. Not much to do that two people can do together, y'know?" He asked with a shrug of his shoulder.

Kelly smiled at his response and took the arm he offered to her, glad that he was at least on board. "Yay!" It came out cuter than she had really been going for, but hey, nothing wrong with that. "Lonely is lonely, my friend." She leaned against him a little and smiled before gesturing for him to lead the way. "After you, oh protector and guide." Maybe she was being a little goofy, but it wasn't like she got the opportunity to do so very often. Besides, Dante seemed to appreciate her little humor stylings. Still, she made a note to tone it down a notch for now.

Dante gave out a grin to her after he heard her cute little reply and after he was told to lead the way, he would indeed do so as he then began to show her around the place. "Well, this is the living room. You've already seen this. Plus, there's a bay window over there that goes out to the porch. You'll have to come out here with me one night when there's a full moon. Besides, there's a great view." He said with a smile before leading her down the hallway, turning towards the bedroom and opened the door for her that led into it. "There's the bedroom." He said, looking into it.

She smiled as he showed her the window and the porch. It made her smile that he thought of the possibility of her going to his balcony with him in the future. Unfortunately she doubted that they would get the chance to see such things together. Still the sentiment was sweet. And she couldn't keep herself from imagining what it might be like to stay. Smiling, she followed him to his bedroom, chuckling at the rather anticlimactic way he told her what it was. "What? No lines about how this is where the magic happens?" she teased him, nudging him a little.

"Speaking of beds and such, do I get to sleep with you tonight? Or will you make me take the couch?"

A troll of his eyes and a smile was Dante's initial reply before he looked over to her with a smile on his face. "Nah, I'm not that cheesy. I must rather keep the BS where it is and just say exactly what it is." He answered with that same smile on his face before taking her inside with him and showed her the inside of the room. In the room, there looked to be a rather high-end bed there in the corner, one that seemed to control the softness and firmness of both sides of the bed. It didn't look as though it was used very much, if at all. On the other side was a desk where a laptop sat beside a bottle lamp while an office chair was in front of it. The lamp didn't look very old, but the laptop there on the desk looked as though it came straight off of the line.

"Yeah, I'll let you sleep with me tonight." He answered with a smile. "Besides, you look like someone who needs someone to be beside." Dante added before giving her a nudge in return.

The brunette smiled at his answer to her teasing and looked around the room taking in the new feeling of everything. The quality of the items was unquestionable, but she wondered at how none of it really seemed to have been used more than a few times. She was impressed, but she also found herself wondering why he wouldn't let himself enjoy any of it. "Very nice," she commented. When he told her she would be staying with him, she smiled back at his little grin. She was beginning to really love that smile of his. And she was glad that she'd seen so much of it recently.

"Do I? Well, I can't deny it. But everyone needs someone to be beside sometimes." She looked around the room and wondered if he would ever stay here more often. Make it his home.

"Well hey, someone with a bubbly personality like yours seems to request it." Dante answered with a smile on his face before he went over to his office chair and then sat in it. "But yeah, like I said, make yourself at home. Besides, I'm not going anywhere for a while, so I guess that means we got a little bit of time together and all that stuff." He added with a chuckle before correcting himself. "Well, at least until later tonight, between you and me on the dance floor."

She smiled and nodded. "Sounds like a plan." She smiled and walked over to his bed, taking up the controller for it. Without any hesitation, she lay down on it, pressing the buttons and playing with it, finding her perfect comfort level. "These are so much fun," she said with a laugh. In truth, she almost expected him to have a water bed. Just to mess with her. Laughing at the thought, she got comfy and looked up at the ceiling. "Oh I want a bed like this now," she said with a laugh.

She put the remote down and then got up and started to walk around. "I'm gonna put in a call to the DJ so he knows what's up. I'll get him to judge and have the crowd finish it up. Let me know if your changing or whatever when I come back." With a playful little wink, she walked out to his balcony and got out her phone to make the call. It was rude to do it in front of him, after all. And he was probably starting to get sick of her.

"Heh. I remember when I was a kid, my mom set the comfort level all down to the softest possible level? I sank like a rock in that thing." Dante answered with a bit of a laugh as he watched Kelly fiddle with the controller for the side of the bed she was on. To be perfectly honest, she looked rather cute doing that, so he decided to let her get away with it. For now, of course. "I'll let you buy it for the price I got it for." He answered with a chuckle.

A nod was his reply before he got up from the chair and then set his hands in his pockets for a moment. "How about I don't and you come on in while I'm getting changed?" He shot back with a tease of his own before grinning at her with a chuckle as he then watched her leave, standing there by himself for a moment. Though to be honest, he knew that she was out of earshot now, so that meant he had to get to this voice message that he had received earlier in the day. Looking down to his right pocket, he took his phone out of there and then began to fiddle around with it for a moment as he found the message in question, sighing a bit before lifting the phone up to his ear and pressed the button on his phone to listen to it.

She laughed at his little story. "I wish I could have seen that. I bet you were adorable when you were little." When she got up and he told her she could buy it from him, she laughed and shook her head. "I don't know. I'm not sold on this bed just yet...Gotta sleep in it first." She let him get in his last little dirty joke and then left him to make the call. Soon, the whole competition was arranged.

The voice message on his phone was short and to the point. It detailed the following without quite so many words:

Kelly Luna was a corporate spy who leaked important Zio Matrix information to a rival company. It nearly put ZM under, and ruined a few people's lives. The girl continued to cause problems for ZM as time went on through various leaks and continuous spying, as well as using computer viruses, extortion, and threats of violence.

If only they were aware of how well Dante was getting to know Kelly. Despite her flexibility and a decent amount of strength, she didn't seem to have it in her to hurt anyone. And on top of that, something about her scar and the way ZM told their side of the story did not add up.

As Dante began to listen to the message, he began to ponder about the details that were laid on him. Granted, he knew that Kelly was something that the company was wanting, but to use her for a corporate spy? Was she possibly on loan from Mirage? Then again, Emeraude seemed to be reaching out to whoever it was that was available in the bounty hunter agency he was associated with. It was honestly amazing that while the message seemed so limited with the details, that they expected him to believe it outright. But after a little bit of thought, Dante decided to save the message and export it to his hidden e-mail account. Besides, there was no telling what he would be able to use it for, but he would be damned if he was going to be taken as a fall guy or a patsy.

For now, Dante just sat there at his desk after setting the phone down, propping his elbows up onto his knees and rested his chin on the backs of his hands as he began to think.

Kelly sighed and took in the view in daylight, smiling softly. The fresh air was fantastic. It was getting a bit chilly however. And by this time, Dante would have done what he really wanted to do without her, so she took one last long look and came back inside, coming back to the door of his bedroom before knocking on the frame and peeking in. "Aww, looks like you're decent," she pouted, teasingly, though she kept a straight face. She sat on his bed again and looked over at him. "Competition is set up at 6 tonight."

Now she took in his posture, noticing how at ease he looked at home, and how unsettled he seemed from before. "Something on your mind, Sparky?"

"Hmm?" Dante answered as he looked up to Kelly as she came back in, not really paying that much attention when she came back. "Oh, sorry. I guess getting dressed must've slipped my mind. Not to worry though, I'll make sure you get a free show before tonight." He added with a tease of his own before standing up onto his feet.

"And hey, don't worry about me. I was just thinking about some stuff, is all." He added after a moment with a shrug of his shoulders.

She smiled, not really believing that it was so simple. However, he was her host and he was being nice to her, so she grinned at his joke and stood up as well, coming closer to him. "I'll try my best, but you're making it hard not to worry a little." She took his face in her hands, cupping his cheeks, and kissed his lips softly, barely brushing against him. "Thanks for being so nice." She smiled and then let him go, staying close.

After a moment she sighed and said. "What now?"

"Now what have you got to worry about, Kelly?" Dante answered with a smile on his face. "Besides, you've got nothing to worry about except for the fact that my hands might try to get a feel of you." He added with another tease of his own before watching her come over to him and then cup his face in her hands and then kissed his lips once. In reply, Dante's hands would then reach over to Kelly and rest them at her sides, welcoming her closeness to him.

For a moment, Dante still stood there, his eyes half-lidded. "Not sure, to be honest. Besides, we got the rest of the day to do whatever, y'know?" He answered.

In all actuality, she had wanted more than that little kiss now that she had that tempting taste of him. He seemed to enjoy it enough. His half-lidded gaze was just enough to tell her so. She smiled and, oddly enough, felt reassured by the way he told her she had nothing to worry about but him copping a feel. And that possibility was increasingly likely. She chuckled a little and let him keep his hands on her sides. The buxom brunette nodded in response and just leaned against him, putting her arms around him because she felt like she could. All he had to do was tell her to stop, but it felt good just sitting right there like this. She closed her eyes and just stayed there. "You're comfy."

To be perfectly honest at this point, Dante felt it would be an outright crying shame if told her that he wanted her to stop whatever it was she was doing. As a matter of fact, when he felt the busty brunette lean up against him like she did, Dante simply brought up one arm a little further up her back, resting a hand on her shoulder while the other reached down from her side and wrapped that one around her waist before lowering his head down onto Kelly's shoulder, nuzzling it a bit before turning his head towards her neck and placed a kiss on it. From there, he took a slightl whiff of her skin, smiling a bit in reply. "You smell nice." He said.

Kelly smiled as he let her do as she pleased. He felt so good. His arms felt warm and possessive. She tilted her head a bit so he could kiss her neck with a bit more room. His breath was warm against her neck and she felt ticklish as he breathed in her scent. His compliment was accepted warmly. "Mmm, comes with being a girl," she teased, kissing his shoulder a bit, just staying close to him like that, enjoying it.
