The convention was not really what she'd expected it to be, but one never knew. She'd thought there would be a few tables and maybe some guest speakers, since this was the first convention this particular event-thrower had hosted. It was easily on par with the bigger conventions she'd seen. In fact, she'd thought getting dressed up for this event was going a little overboard, but there was hardly anybody who wasn't dressed up.

The woman in question was Lucy Bella, and she was stunning without a costume, but with it, she drew more attention to herself. She wore the pointy ears her boyfriend had bought for her, and a tight, short skirt that was green. She had a brown bustier that did wonders for her cleavage and a nice green cape with long, brown, fingerless gloves and knee high, high heeled boots in that same brown, her legs left bare this time. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a braid.

The scifi convention was basically an excuse for her boyfriend to watch other scantily clad girls and compare them to her. Her green eyes sent a rather withering look at him in his Star Trek uniform as she caught him staring at a green woman's ass. He put a hand on her shoulder.

"Aww, don't worry baby. I only want you. But she was green. How often do you see that?"

"I suppose..." She frowned.

"Why don't you take a look around? I'm going to look at some of the merchandise, and I know you don't like to hang around for that."

"Fine. Meet me at the Star Trek area in a few hours." She let him kiss her cheek and then she walked off to see if she could find some interesting way to spend her time.

Humans are strange of all the aliens he had yet encountered only humans spent most of there time trying to escape from there daily lives. “Wow, so who are you supposed to be spock” quickly he checked through his memes and found more then a thousand spocks the one that fit the best was a character from a late 60's show.”Yes that is who I am, it makes me glad to know my costume was so convincing”

Most the humans were a mix of processionals and outcasts the kind of people that did not normally go outside of the domiciles. He noticed a female that did not fit the average mold she was not a walking advertisement nor was she a geeky fan. “I see you got lost as well” He watched as the woman turned. It took him a few minutes to get close enough to offer his hand in greeting the place was more packed then a can of salted fish.

J’kal was tall with light violet eyes and close cropped black hair required by his service in the exploration corp. for a human the woman was striking with the kind of natural features that would ensure healthy young. “I saw a machine that does a good imitation of drinkable caffeinated beverages” Normally he did not interact but as he knew humans were crazy making contact on some level possible besides surrounded by loud smelly aliens he was having trouble keeping a single a thought..

Lucy spun around, light on her feet as she heard someone who seemed to be talking to her. She blinked, her dark hair slipping over her shoulders. "Hm? Me?" She saw someone who looked an awful lot like Spock, or at least a Vulcan came near, his hand extended. She blinked and shook his hand slowly, unsure what to think of this stranger. "I'm not really lost," she said. "Just looking around." She let go of his hand and tilted her head as the friendly man seemed to offer to buy her a drink. "You really get into character, don't you?" she asked, chuckling. It was kind of refreshing.

"Wow, are your eyes naturally that color?" she asked, looking into them. "Great ears, by the way. How'd you get them to look so real?" Of course, these questions were meant to be a form of compliment, but she had no way of knowing he was actually an alien. "Oh, sorry. My name is Lucy. And who are you?"

“Me, im j'kal but most people call me jerry" he smiled most humans were shy about pointing out flaws then again con fans were anything but normal. He paused for a moment wondering why he had spoken to her normally he only allowed them to come to him. “My costume well my cousin works in the industry kind of a walking advertisement for his skill”

he found a seat a girl in a metallic skirt and top cam around with a tray shaped like a space ship with even blinking lights. “What would you two like to order” he looked at the woman he could see intelligence an curiosity not something uncommon at a convention. “A blue cosmos” he smiled he enjoyed humans because unlike most races in the galaxy they were the only ones that seemed to enjoy sex. Not that he considered sex the ultimate goal but sex and everything attached to it seemed to be considered a chore by most races.

“so why are you here, you know I pimped myself out to my cousin” How did he understand English, translating machine no lots of American television. She was not the first human but she was the first to hold his full attention. Slowly he leaned forward as the drink arrived he took a long sip. The drink was almost all vodka and food coloring but it was better then nothing. For the first time he felt awkward because he finally wondered if there was more to life then science.

"It's nice to meet you, Jerry," she said, shaking his hand. She let it go and looked into his eyes as he told her about his "cousin" in the "industry." Still, Lucy didn't know who he was or why he was here, so she bought it. "Cool. So you're sort of here on business, then?" she asked, following after her new "friend." She sat down with him, a little bit more of her thighs revealed as she did so. To the girl with the tray, she smiled and said, "Ummm, just some hard lemonade is fine," she said. After all, she was driving.

She returned her attention to the man next to her and found his speech and mannerisms to be a little odd. Still, who was she to judge at a convention? "Me? I'm just here for my boyfriend. He loves these things. I don't mind going, but I feel a little silly getting dressed up for these things, you know? Thanks," she said, taking her drink from the returning waitress. "He's looking for more collectibles I guess. Really though? He's probably glad to be rid of me. I swear he checks out every girl he sees like she's a meal. Even when I'm right next to him. It's kind of frustrating," she said.

And that's when she realized she should really stop talking. "Sorry, personal problems. Anyway...So you're a Star Trek fan, huh?"

It was clear that while she was with another human she had no interest in him he was a fan boy. He pondered what he should do next he longed for the companionship of another who understood him. “More addicting then cigarettes, I see now why you came it’s a shame it’s the only way you can get his attention” He hated playing the psychiatrist it was bad enough having to talk to them after a mission.

“To answer you’re question if find the Vulcan philosophy exciting, of course if they expressed there emotions now and then perhaps the pan’far would not be so, intense” here he already was geeking out he loved to study fictional alien cultures as much as the real culture that created them. He was also aware that the woman was not only very attractive but very intelligent.

“SO do you like trek” he asked wondering why she chose to separate from her boyfriend after working so long to get his attention. He drank his blue cosmos keeping his eyes on hers that seemed to sparkle. Slowly he moved his hand closer to her touching his small finger to hers. Slowly he felt the blood rushing to his face without knowing it he had formed an infatuation for her.

"Hm? Oh, no, it's not like that. When we're alone, he's fine. But in public? It's like I have to keep him on a leash." Although when they were alone he had other habits that were less-than-thrilling. She chose not to bring his up now, however, as she'd done quite enough sharing already. Lucy shrugged and sipped her lemonade as she listened to his explanation of Star Trek fandom.

"Hm? Well, I like the idea behind Star Trek and the spirit of it, but I never really got into the shows much. I like the movie with the whales and the newest movie," she said with a chuckle. "It's got a good message, I think, but the shows just never did much for me." She shrugged and sipped at the lemonade again. The small touch he gave to her pinky didn't even register on her radar.

He laughed, the problem with trek was that it was too perfect. “I know what you mean, when I talk like this, you want to kick me in the as” doing his best kirk who was more wooden then spock could ever be. He did his best not to laugh as his own joke.

“Well at least his is better then my ex” Looking around he wondered why he even brought her up at all. “ I swear she like to kick me just because she could” Looking around he saw an average looking man hitting on one of the barley clad gorm woman modeling from the new trek. “Looks like one of the booth girls objected to his proposition” the man suddenly doubled over. He could see some of the girls green paint rubbed of in his crotch ho would he explain that.

“well here is my card” he handed her a business card it was for his novelty shop, more a hobby then a job. He worked there only as a cover to explain unregistered income.

He tried not to look at her, getting involved with a women who already had a boyfriend was always a bad idea. He ran his hand over his ear a clear sign he was nervous. Already he could see the boyfriend leaving for the bathroom. He might have an hour or minutes before he came back, of course if he found him here with his girlfriend he would no doubt explode.

She blinked and looked up at him when he handed her his card. "Huh? Oh, okay. Well it was nice talking to you." She took one from the little belt around her waist and handed it to him as well. "If you ever need an interior decorator, let me know," she said with a smile. Lucy glanced over to the man who'd just gotten turned down and knew instinctively that it was her boyfriend. She put her head in her hand and stuck Jerry's card into her belt with a sigh. When her boyfriend reported back to her, he had added a new element over his costume which hid his green crotch.

"Let's go," she said, wanting to leave. There wasn't anything more here that she was interested in, and she was not pleased with the way the day was turning out. Her boyfriend agreed when a woman in green paint walked by and glared.

About 2 days later, Lucy came home from the store, groceries in hand and heard moaning coming from her bedroom. "That had damn well better be porn," she growled to herself. She calmly put the groceries away and straightened herself up before entering the room.

Within mere seconds, her boyfriend was out on his ass, naked, gathering clothes as they were thrown at him, and the girl was running away in nothing but panties. Calmly, she took the sheets off the bed and put it in the laundry with color-safe bleach and then vigorously scrubbed the mattress. Finally, she dried the mattress and put on clean sheets and a new bed cover, having hated the last one. Everything looked better. She put all of his things in boxes and left them outside by the door after making an appointment to get the locks changed.

Then, Lucy grabbed her purse and started walking. Though she wasn't quite as eye-catching without the costume, but she was still quite attractive, and damn it if she wasn't headed to a bar. She wore a pair of low slung jeans and a top that did much to accentuate her curves. And as she reached into her purse to find how much money was still in her wallet, she found Jerry's card.

Feeling like she didn't want to drink alone, she pulled out her cell phone and called him.

The rest of the day flew by half way through the con he had to return to his shop to pay bills. The girls boyfriend showed up telling him that he should not be messing around with his girl. “Look I don’t need this I was just having a drink” the man lunged at him and before he knew it he was flying through the air. “look I can play with you latter just don’t come back” the man was bigger then he looked an hour latter he had a nice cast.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day he went back to the con trying to find the girl from before. The green girl was also absent a security guard was walking around with a picture of the man who broke his arm. The waitress came back she was wearing a non regulation set of imperial storm trooper armor with a lot more black under suit. “you waiting for someone” She asked as he continued to nurse his drink. He smiled and nodded he wondered if he would ever see her again or not.

“Well if you want some fun” she offered it was known that some of the girls were little more then hookers. He shook his head there was no way he was going to sleep with some alien for money. After paying his bill he left he passed out all his cards and still had time to by some merch. He checked his phone it was not really fair it had only been a day besides what had he been expecting.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suddenly the phone began to shake in his pocket the number was not the one the woman gave him but it was new. He waited a minute If it was the woman he did not want to seem to eager. “Yes, this is Loki’s” he waited he could hear someone breathing on the other side of the phone. He did not give his number out to a lot of people, well not many that he wanted to call back.

Time seemed to crawl by it was only two days his luck would have to be very good for him to have a women he just met dump her boyfriend, or worse cheat on him. He ran his fingers over the desk he was back at the office after wasting two days at the con he needed to make up some hours. “sorry sir can you wait a minute” he asked his heart rate was climbing slowly.
