Irissia took the goblet from her servants hands and drank it's contents hastily. There was not much time. The goblet held a powerful aphrodisiac that would not only increase her sex drive ten-fold but make her release pheromones that would attract others with equal intensity. She needed it to please the Dragon God. He would be hungry when he awoke, lust was the only thing that would stave his hunger. She would be the object of his pleasure in return for the destruction of her peoples enemies.

"My queen the chamber is ready and all the rituals have been completed. All that is left is for you to call our lord into existence!" Irissia looked at her grand vizier and swiped her blue scaled hand across his face.

"You dare speak of me as though I am some petty tool? I should have you de-scaled you worthless newt! Go! Fetch me my robes and be quick about it!" The Vizier wordlessly complied with his head down. In moments he began wrapping her flawless figure in shiny green silk of the highest quality. The silk matched the unscaled portions of her skin, bright glistening green. And it faded into a aqua blue and then into the saphire of her scales over her shoulders, back, upper arms, thighs and calves. She was the highest order of her people, Queen Cobra. She had no hair, only a hood similar to the serpent beast that roamed the human lands. Once she was clothed she immediately headed for the summoning chamber.

The summoning chamber was at the heart of their volcanic citadel, made entirely of polished obsidian and triangular in shape. The peak of the room opened into a vast pool of molten rock, deep below lay the prison of her Dragon god. A large silken bed, padded with angel down had been prepared for her lords leisure. Near the edge of the room her minions waited for her to finish the ritual.

"Stand aside!" She waved the little in humanoid reptiles away, they were of no use now. Only she could complete the summoning. She stepped boldly to the very edge of the obsidian peak and held her hands out wide, green orbs of energy manifested and arced bolts of electricity back and forth.

"It is time Dark One! It is time for you to wake! It is time for you to claim the world we have prepared for you! IT IS TIME!" The summoning had truly begun. So long as she finished it, it didn't matter how close the angels came. They would all burn in the breath of her lord and mate.

Outside the mountain and all around it a battle raged. Angelic hosts were battling with the snake warriors of the clan. Holy swords met the venomous fanged swords of the snakes. There were many killed on both sides neither one really winning or losing. However for the snake warriors that was a victory since they only had to keep the holy warriors back from getting to their queen and stopping the ritual.

Variel floated not far away looking down on the battle field just smirking slightly. It had been a long time since she had been asked to join the ranks of the angelic hosts. She was a Nephilm born a outcast of both humans and angels, she was the daughter of a angelic father and human mother. There has once been thousands of her kind but now she was one of only a few that were left alive. When the war had come she sided with the angelic hosts and from that had gained a measure of agelessness. She had watched her race slowly die out or mingle with the humans and angels.

Variel pulled back her large white wing and turned down to dive quickly into the battle. He fiery sword blazing as it cut through several defenders in one sweep. Her dark blue eyes flashed as she entered the fray and things started to shift to their side. She led the attack no snake being able to stand before her and any that tired soon fell at her feet. Her black hair spun with her in battle whipping her in the moves of battle. Her armor shone gold against the black underdress she wore between the armor and her body. the long sleeves followed the paths of her blows but always were part of her moves never in the way.

She pressed her way into the main chamber leaving the hordes of angels and snakes fighting on the mountain side. she smirked her face streaked with the splash of green blood across it as she moved inward heading for the summoning chamber to stop the queen from becoming the dragons mate.

Curses! Irissia could hear the blasted angels growing near. They were carving through her troops like butter. She paused the ritual and arched two bolts of green energy into a pair of her servants. The energy coursed through their veins and mutated their bodies, transforming them into hulking abominations of scale and bone. They each now stood nearly five men high and as wide as a carriage.

"GO! We only need a little more time! Shamans! The Wards?!" Her snake shamans had been distracted from the placement of protective wards that would stall the angels further. No pure blooded servant of heaven could pass the barrier once it was erected. And lucky for them the half breeds around today could be counted on her hands.

"Alak ba ra see tsu ramak! Wake! Wake! WAKE! Alak.." This was the longest part of the ritual, and the last. Now she just had to will the dragon awake. Force it's consciousness alive with her own. Battle rung through the halls as what must be a vanguard closing in on the summoning room.

"SHAMANS! THE WARDS!" She was forced to pause again and turn around. Sending a storm of green lightning snaking out into the hallway as the wards came up. She was too close! Nothing would stop this! Not all the heavenly host would bar her this destiny!

"DESTROY THEM! DESTROY THEM ALL! I WILL NOT BE DENIED!" She screamed with fire in her voice. Her abominations charged right through her lightning, unphased, to attack this oncoming warrior of heaven.

Variel raised her sword blocking the arc of green lightening that came down the hall at her. turning it so that it defused in the wall she pressed on the wards going up but not even slowing her down. They were for angels and she was not totally one. She pressed on bouncing of the wall and spreading her wings wide before swooping down to take the head off one of the abominations that had been sent to stop her.

With the simple speaking of one holy word that no angel could utter Variel made the other abomination rip apart from the inside the very fabric of its being turning on itself. there was nothing standing between her and the queen now and Variel moved into the summoning chamber. “That is enough of that.” She reached out to grab the queen and stop the ritual.
