The sun has just gone down as she steps out of the carriage. Her dress was black silk and in the style of the times, low cut at the top and the long flowing skirt. She truly did love this time period; its clothes, its art, the time for learning. Her coal black hair had a light wave to it naturally but she curled it tightly as was expected of most woman. The carriage had pulled up in front of the large cathedral and she looked at it now with a smile.
Her hazel eyes scanned the others around her. She thought to herself so many clueless people that simply followed blindly, will they ever learn. Her red painted lips smiled a cold smile as she started to the doors. She could hear to shrieks of an old hag at the bottom the stairs. The woman was there everyday preaching for the church. She claimed she had visions of the future. In her own experience she had learned that a good deal of those who claimed such as this woman, truly did have the visions.
Giving the woman little heed she began to walk up the stairs when she felt a hand touch her arm. She turned to find the woman falling away screaming. In most cases a cold stare from her was enough to keep people at bay. Even more so when she lined her eyes with the black makeup. Something in her eyes often frightened people. Almost as if they could see what power she held. She stopped and stared at the woman has the hag stumbled back a few more steps and fell to her knees.
" YOU!!! YOU, I know you! You have come. This is not your place, this is the house of God. Leave us demon, leave. You are not welcome here. I know what you are….."
The rest of her words were a jumble of shrieks and crying. A guard came down the stairs looking at the hag. She had always been tolerated because she never brought no harm but now he could see she had gone too far. She had accused a Lady of such unspeakable crimes and had touched the lady. Bowing to her he seemed flustered and apologetic. He made the mistake of looking into her eyes as he turned to talk with her. His lips moved but no words came out, finally he did manage to stutter an apology
" I I I…I ammm ….I am sorry M’Lady…. She could not have meant such awful comments. She will not be bothering you again We only tolerated her because she never did more than talk. She will be dealt with."
He backed away slowly picking up the hag by the arm and half dragging her half carrying her down the streets. She watched them go with a smile on her face. If only he had known the truth. She brushed the encounter off as nothing yet it had shaken her some. That had been one of the reasons she had avoided such people, they knew and would not be kept silent. The crowd around her slowly got over the shock. Several of the women came to offer their sympathies. They could not beleive how horrible that hag had been. A few men slowly followed congratulating the officer for doing his job. Some were annoyed he had not done it sooner and had let her stay so long.
Slowly everyone headed into the cathedral to take their seats. As she walked between the pews she saw a bright blue eyed girl watching her. The child may have been about 7 or 8 with pretty curls in her blonde hair. Walking past the child she smiled, the mother must have seen her and scolded the child. It mattered to her none. Now that the excitement was over, people went out of their way to avoid her. It was an unconscious gesture but it happened all the same. She found a pew, not in the front nor in the back but somewhere around the middle.
Shortly afterward mass started and the priest came out. She sang the hymns and read along, said the prayers and said grace like all the others. The whole time with a playful smile on her face. Finally after almost an hour, mass was coming to a close. With a gesture from the priest people began to line up to take bread and wyne. It was time…..
She waited patiently as the line slowly got smaller and smaller, closer and closer to her. The Priest had a smile on his face until he met her eyes. She was the last and for him it was a good thing. He stared in her eyes and he paled white, a look of horror came over his face. Smiling she moved on as he stood there dumbfounded. After a moment he was finally able to stumble through the last few minutes of mass.
The cathedral bells rang as people walked out. Everyone was talking about the Priest. They could see there had visibly something wrong with him but no one knew what it could be. The conclusion most the woman came to was he had an affair. But for the life of them they could not figure out who it might have been. She had slipped their mind and by morning they would not even remember her.
Walking out of the cathedral she can see the carriage waiting. The priest had had his warning. Next time her Master would be visiting him instead. Though she could not see him, she knew her Master waited within. A fleeting curiousity crosed her mind, if he had attended mass as well or left this to her. Wondering if he enjoyed the show from the shadows, or if he was so sickned by the pervision of the priest he could not stand to even be in the building. Dyan ducked her head as she slipped into the carriage besdie him.
" .... It is done... Sire...... "

He watched the sun, looking to her for a moment a soft smile, "Such a good child, you are a brilliant flower blooming among a dead field..." He had quite the opposite reaction to people as he left the car many looked to him lost in the appearance of the angelic male, his love for god, earned him a mission that was meant for good will, which was slowly corrupting him. The male slipped out of the carriage, something he had only done when he found her last as he stopped before the doors seeming to prey for a moment before walking in, he left ten minutes later, the look on his face distasteful. "Why do they get his love..." He muttered to himself moving into the cart and looking to her his cool blue eyes still as brilliant as ever, though she would know something was off, as to what, was impossible for any mortal to tell, even her. "You know..." He said slowly looking at the sky, "I have served our lord, helping these men of... These men..." He fixed himself not wanting to say it. "And they still are loved move by him, than I will ever be loved..." He said softly smiling slowly as he looked to her, "But enough of that, we shall eat before we move to the next church the man there has been offering blessings, and 'forgiveness' for a price of earthly goods, we need to make sure he knows better..."

He had three forms he took representing the three stages of life, it was how he judged people, his form he stuck to was a young male, offering guidance to ministries before sending her in to teach the mass and the preacher a small lesson, his voice had a soft chorus tone to it. A ring to many that made his words somehow ring more magnificent to their faith and few argued with his words. Though, recently his voice began to dull, holding the same power, but now seeming to imbue itself upon the souls of those that hear, leaving a sharp and dangerous impression, this angel was starting to break his promise, not intentionally, but indeed he was, slowly becoming cruel and dark. His clothing or expressions had neglected this change, wearing a white priest robe, a travelers uniform with a high rank that let him do as he pleased when dealing with churches. Though few saw his judgment on those who were to far lost, a vision to where they were heading. The weak willed angel whom used to talk with such brilliance of man, and love there of the lord, he could not help but see that man had fallen, and yet, the lord had yet to see his work. The misguided angel had forgotten some of the most true words, and was slowly becoming warped by the evils of the world of man.

The angel looked to her smiling, "You are a great help to the cause child..." Before he had never noticed, but the farther he fell from his old ways he had learned that watching her was starting to have an odd effect on him, his mind thinking of her soft skin, her beautiful features, it was just too much for him at some times, the carriage stopping as he smiled to her his eyes falling across her form as he offered to let her out seeing the hag, who had been released, to keep her trapped would need her to be far worse than she was, despite her ramblings she was no real threat to people, just an insane old women meant to do no more than follow her ways as he moved to her slowly smiling, "The ways of the lord require the essence of this world and the next..." His tone cool, and the way he spoke was meant to leave no thought as to the fact in itself he had used a broken phrase, as if there was more to be said before and after that he was not going to indulge her with. Yes, for now he was still on the path of the lord, but he was on a narrow path waiting for the lightest breeze to blow him over, and onto a new path.
