The woman woke up in the clean white bed of a hospital- her blue eyes ached at the sudden blinding white, and the light pouring in through the window- partially open nearby. She rose with a groan, all of her muscles ached and popped in protest to her movements- she didn't know it, but she had just woken from a coma- her name was Allison Garnier, but if anyone asked, she wouldn't have been able to answer that definitely.

She'd take a guess- but probably be completely wrong. Slowly, she shifted herself on the bed, and gripped onto the metal railing that was close to the bed, connected to the wall. Using it, she slowly pulled herself out of bed. Little round pads attached to wires- attached to whirring machines, popped off of her one at a time and she stared at them for a moment, taking pause to catch her breath since the movement strained her- it wouldn't be long that she was discovered awake, now that she was messing up with the bits connected to the machines.

"Hello?" she called out hoarsely. Her throat was scratchy and dry, so she slowly lowered herself back on the bed and poured herself a glass of water from the pitcher nearby. Her hands were so shaky, that she dropped the pitcher and the glass shattered on the floor- this really disappointed her, because she felt so insanely thirsty!

Daniel Smith watched as the doctor that was assigned to the coma patient left unexpectedly. leaving him to pick up his dirty work. His dark drown hair fell in front of his glasses, to which he responded to by blowing his hair out of his face.

"Ugh... man..." he muttered. He was relatively new to the hospital, as they accepted his results and made him into an actual doctor. He didn't look like one though; besides the white coat and gloves, he just looked like a regular guy.

Turning around, Daniel strode down the hall to get to the patient's room. No one at the hospital had any idea who she was, and as far as he knew she wasn't going to say anything, as she was still sleeping. He opened the door to her room just as he heard glass breaking, and looked in surprise as the patient was up and water and broken glass at her feet. "Uh... you're awake."

He quickly got to work, paging a cleaning crew to come get everything cleared away, and cleaned up the water last. All the while that this happened, Daniel was studying her quietly and went to retrieve her a glass of water, but when they finished, he still hadn't said a word to her.

She took the glass with her shaky hands, this time more careful. She sipped the water up, looking at the doctor blankly as she waited for him to tell her where she was- and who she was- he seemed very official and important, surely he knew something? But... he wouldn't know who she was either, she was brought in as a "Jane Doe"- she was a victim of a hit-and-run, and unfortunately had no id on her- and no one came forward to say they recognized her.

Though she had been in a coma for a few months, she was considerably healthy. It was a miracle that she had woken up at all, but her broken bones had healed nicely and she didn't have any long-term damage. She had only lost some weight, and her muscles had suffered from the lack of her movement. It wouldn't take long to work them back into shape. "Where am I?" she asked after he just stared at her quietly- it unnerved her.

Daniel stayed quiet for another second, then... smiled. "You're in the hospital, as you've probably already figured that out. You were in a coma; for a while, actually," he answered, moving around her bed to the foot of it and looked at her clipboard. "You are officially a... Jane Doe, until we can figure out where you come from and what's your name," he then walked to the machines and carefully turned them off. "You won't need these anymore. For now, at least."

He then observed her for another second, "I'm Dr. Daniel Smith, the person assigned to keeping you well. Is there... anything you need?"
