Here's where you post little ways to go green. It's a good thing, and it can be relatively simple to work into one's daily habits. Though I have a few guidlines to this thread:

Do not turn it into a "OH GOD GLOBAL WARMING" debate. I'll delete those posts.

Do not turn this place into a "IT WON'T DO THE WORLD, JUST GIVE UP" shit.

This is just a nice friendly thread on helpful hints. I personally have given up the use of shampoos, and conditioners in favor of natural ones. Here's the recipes I'm currently experimenting with:

Also, I unplug my laptop when I'm gone, since it sucks up electricity. Another thing I do is make sure all the lights are off, as well as electronics. I try to buy organic brands as much as possible as well, to support them. After all, the only way they can get cheaper, is if more people show interest enough to buy them. They won't have to charge so much and make it so expensive. Lately, organic prices have been going done, which is good.

Drink tap water instead of bottled. Chances are, it's probably better for you than most bottled brands out there as they don't have to go through the same rigorous testing.

Also, don't drink soda. It costs a hell of a lot water-wise to produce (I say as I down a giant thing of diet coke). Water we tend to think of as free and everywhere but much of the world does not have access to potable water.

And use less internet. That also costs energy.

'Going green' is an ultimately futile process, as we cannot reduce carbon emissions to sustainable levels before the 2050 point of no return without Nobel level breakthroughs. Newsweek had a big article on it.

Yet another reason I support a die-off.

:p Take this to another thread please, Try. If you don't like it, make a PVP about it. I won't let this get turned into a stupid flaming fest, filled with e-cock rising. I'm sick of the negativity that isn't going to help anyone.

Oh, and I'm reporting back on the shampoo and conditioner.

My hair smells absolutely wonderful, and it's soft as hell. It didn't have a tangle in it, and it's full of body. My curls are rebelling by being curly and wutnot. D: Also, I can see all the tones of my hair extremely well, and it's just generally lovely. I recommend it.
