Akira hesitated before opening the door. He looked around the bakery, smiling. It was the first time he had been there since he got the letter. He was told that a new bakery had opened 'Taste of Heaven' and he was now the owner of it. He walked around the bakery a bit, looking in the back and at the tables in the front. He let his hands run along the glass for the display case, a soft smile forming on his lips. He finally had his own bakery and it was all thanks to a person he did not know of.

Akira looked at the yellow rose that laid on the display case and found a vase, filling it with water and setting the flower in the window to the bakery. After he finally got over the slight shock he was in, he hurried to bake everything he needed and set the place up before turning the sign from closed to open. He took a deep breath and stood behind the counter, waiting for his first customer.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

The yellow rose had only been laid there ten minutes before the new owner of the shop arrived. The store wasn't entirely new, it had been a bakery before but had been a failing one. Signs and posters were placed around town advertising the new shops grand opening, and many people were planning on attending. One woman was already inside the building, in the back, getting things ready to start the day. She wore khakis and a blue shirt and yellow apron with the bakery's logo on it. She had already been hired by the same man who had provided Akira the shop.

Akira had to wait only a few minutes after being opened for his first customer to arrive. He had almost passed the shop but glanced, surprised to see it was open after so many years of being empty. He purchased a half dozen cupcakes and took them to work. Around noon a crowd of people came in, some couples, others students that went to the local college, some were tourists, and there was one individual male who bought a single cupcake with blue icing. He made no extra attempt to speak to Akira, but was the sole provider for all that he had been given. He would blend into the crowd of people, strategically coming when the most people had. A few minutes before closing time a think male came in carrying a yellow rose and sealed envelope "the man I serve wanted me to bring you this and regrets he could not bring it himself" he said, handing them to Akira and walked away without giving him a chance to ask any questions. The note read simply 'Thank you for the delicious treat. You will do well. -S'

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira smiled at the woman that had been hired to help him, he had tried to get answers out about the person who had helped him out, but she wouldn't say a word about the person. He waved to the first customer as he left and enjoyed the rushing crowd as he quickly passed out the treats and asked the woman in the back to help it out in the front while he went into the back to make more for the bakery. When he came back out a man handed him the yellow rose and the note. He opened his mouth "Hey! Wait...please..." he trailed off and sighed, opening the letter and holding the rose. Akira smiled and sighed a bit. "You really sure you can't tell me anything about this man that has been helping me out?" he called to the woman.

He moved to clean up the store and get it looking nice for the next day. "I mean, all I know is that he's a man and his name probably starts with S. And he came here today." he mumbled, more to himself than the woman who was helping him. "Why don't you head out? I'll lock up." he told her. "I wish I could meet him, face to face." he quietly said to himself "one day, just so I could say thank you." he smiled softly.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

The woman wouldn't say a thing about the gracious man, only smile and continue working when he was brought up. The next morning another rose would be waiting, it's petals barely opened, as if taking it's first breaths of air. An orange ribbon was tied around the middle and a note hang from it 'Have a wonderful day Akira, I'll be out of town today but I have faith in you. -S' it read in the same elegant script. The message was written in ink, and was written in perfectly straight lines in the center of the card. The woman arrived later than the boy, also bringing with her another male with a mohawk and a gorgeous smile. He said he had been hired as well by the mysterious male and had been in the cake baking industry for years and he was very good at icing and using fondant.

He started working on a specialty cake that had been ordered that morning, spending almost all day on it. The crowd that day was even better than the first, and some were the same from the day before, but brought friends so they could share the delicious sweets. The same small man came in again. He picked up the cake and a single cupcake, though different icing, answering all of his questions with a smile and shrug of the shoulders. When Akira got home a single rose laid on his pillow with a note that read simply 'Thinking of You'.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira blinked at the rose and smiled, placing it in the vase with the other rose. He bit his lips and got to work on the cookies and cupcakes. He had just finished the cake, it waiting for the icing and the decoration as he looked over to the woman and the male that joined her. "Um, yeah, okay." he smiled and motioned to the cake, "Have at it." he said and worked towards the front of the shop for a little while, going back and forth between the back and then front, asking the woman to help out in the front every now and then. When the man that gave him the message the last time came in he managed to stop him this time.

"Please, can't you tell me anything about him? What does he look like? Is that cake or cupcake for him? Where did he go today?" he asked, when he didn't get an answer he finally sighed "Can- Can you at least tell him thank you, for all of this? Oh! oh, and um, next time, though I love the people he's gotten for me so far...to let me look at the people he hire's first?" Akira asked and gave a small smile, slightly timid about asking. The man had already given him so much.

After work he cleaned up again. He looked at the boy "Do you mind, checking to make sure that we have enough icing for tomorrow, if not, text me..." he stopped and grabbed a piece of paper and wrote his number down, doing it twice before handing it to the woman and the guy. "and I'll come in early and I can always use the help." he said, smiling before handing him a copy of the keys. "I have to go, so lock up? Thanks." he said with a smile and hurried on home. He sighed and headed into his room, blinking when he saw the rose and the letter. He bit his lip and opened the note. "Okay...this...this is a little creepy." he mumbled to himself. He was sure that he locked the door, so that meant the man who had been doing all this had managed to get into his home.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

The hired man felt bad but was being paid not to say anything to him. He would reveal himself to Akira in his own time and wanted everything to be exactly how he wanted it. The one who had picked up the two items looked down and mumbled "they're for him, he's got dark hair and blue eyes" he said softly so that the woman and other man couldnt hear him. "Yes, I'll tell him" he said and bowed slightly at the waist before turning on his heel and walking out. He would have been fired if he had been caught. There was another rose taped to the outside of his door, waiting for him to find it when he left for work. Nothing of major importance happened during the day besides the arrival of his beneficiary during the most hectic part of the day once again. He was exactly six feet tall and was in shape, filling his black suit nicely. He wore a blue shirt that accented his eyes and black leather shoes. The jacket was open and the first couple buttons of his shirt were undone and he looked as if he had just gotten off work.

When he reached the front of the line he smiled at Akira "hi, I'd like two cupcakes and your telephone number" he said, resting his forearms on the counter as he was paying. He paid with cash, easily avoiding having the boy read his name off a credit card. "I would also like to take you out tonight, and I don't plan on taking no for an answer" he said, a gleam of laughter in his eyes mixed with something darker, more possessive that was less detectable. He didn't move once given his change, waiting for his cell number. "I'll pick you up at seven" he told him, knowing exactly when they closed and using it to his advantage.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira smiled at the flower on his door and took it to work. Placing it in the vase with the other two flowers. He had left the one that was on his pillow at home, in another vase. He was freaked out by it a bit, but at the same time, the person that had been doing this hadn't done anything horrible to him. He hummed lightly as he worked, until rush time came. He stopped walking around slowly and put himself into gear until the man asked him for his number. "I-w-what?" he asked, grabbing two cupcakes. He looked confused and grabbed the cash, "I-" he started and glanced to the long line behind him. "Here." he said and scribbled the number down and handed it to him "Fine, yes, I'll let you take me out tonight."

When the rush was finally over he stopped. "Oh my god..." he said, nearly dropping the cupcakes he was restocking. "Oh my god, I just gave my number to a complete stranger..." he looked down at the cupcakes and bit his lip. There wasn't much more he could do until 7. He would just say no, that's all he would do, it's easy. Hopefully. He sighed and continued to work until 7. He glanced out the window and blinked when he saw the same man standing there. "U-Uhm..." he started to say to himself, looking towards the back. "Regina, Fisher...I'm going outside for a few minutes, I'll be right back." he called towards the back before heading over to where the man stood. "Hi."

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

The stranger had left as soon as the mini cakes and phone number was in his fingers. He automatically put it into his phone and pulled up to the store at six fifty five, standing outside and sitting on the hood of his car. It was pretty chilly outside so he wore a thick jacket, smiling brightly as Akira came outside "hey, I'm so glad you agreed to go out with me" he told him, seeing the look on Akira's face though, made his smile disappear. "Oh, you've changed your mind" he said simply, looking disheartened. "Okay, well. Thanks for the, uh, cupcakes I guess. I was going to share them with you but I guess I'll just sit in my apartment and eat them alone and cry for being turned down again. I should've guessed that someone like you wouldn't go out with me anyways, I suppose it was just wishful thinking on my part" he rambled, trying to guilt trip him into going out with him.

The man had changed into a yellow-orange shirt and wore a black pinstriped suit without a tie. He ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit he had developed over the years, and looked at Akira thoughtfully. "Just come out with me tonight, if you don't like me I swear I'll leave you alone, but I won't stop coming here 'cause your baking is wonderful" he teased and reached out, his fingers wrapped gently around his wrist, his middle finger feeling his pulse as it quickened, looking the boy straight in the eye. "Let me show you a good time" he said softly, tugging on his wrist ever so gently, his voice silky and seductive, luring his prey into his grasp.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira gave a soft smile when the stranger realized that he had changed his mind "Look, I just, I don't even know your name," he started biting his lip. "I don't mean to hurt your feelings, I'm sure you are a wonderful-" he stopped and smiled awkwardly at the other man's comment about liking his baking. When the man grabbed his wrist he looked at it, give a slightly worried glance towards the bakery. They would be able to hear him scream, right? But there was something about this man that made Akira not want to scream. He glanced at his wrist again, trying to pull it away, biting his lip again as he stepped back. "I-I..." he started and looked back the stranger "Al-alright." he stated slowly, "I just need to tell my employees that I'm going to be heading out now, so that they will lock up." He nodded over to the bakery "I don't them that I would be right back."

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

The man let go of his wrist when Akira pulled away, not wanting him to freak out or think he was going to kidnap him. His blue eyes lit up when he agreed to go out with him. He nodded and sat back down on the hood of his car, waiting for him to go and tell his employees he was leaving. "My name is Aaron" he told him when he had his hand on the door, a lopsided smile on his face. When he came back out he moved to open the passenger door of his car and shutting it carefully once he was seated. Once in his seat he started the car, pulling out of the parking lot and remaining quiet as long as he was. Aaron led them to a restaurant with a rooftop patio to eat on. Coincidentally they had the entire deck to themselves, a waiter coming up and pouring both of them a glass of wine "you can have that or you can get a soda or something else" he told him, picking up his drink and sipping on it while he looked the other male over. "How is the bakery going so far?" he asked, leaning back and enjoying the night.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira quickly headed into the bakery "Regina, Fisher, I'm going to need you to close up today. Something's come up." he stated, biting his lip "Text me if you need anything or I have to come in early tomorrow." he called and turned back around to head outside. He got into the car with Aaron. "Nice to meet you Aaron, I'm Akira...but I guess you already knew that." he said, glancing down at himself, he had taken off his name tag, but he still felt like he looked like a mess. He had been baking all day after all.

When they got to the restaurant he hesitated to get out of the car. He stepped out and brushed his hands on his shirt trying to get bits of flour off of him. He glanced around the patio and then to Aaron and then the waiter. "Um, just water please." he asked and looked over to Aaron. "It's going well, actually. Thank you. I was a little worried about starting it, it kind of was just...pushed upon me." he explained, his face contorting a bit into confusion. "But, everything is going well. What do you do for a living?" he asked.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Aaron watched as Akira tried to clean himself off, smirking as he noticed a smudge of flour on his face. He reached up and brushed it off with his thumb. "I'm sure you'll handle it fine. You've done amazing so far" he assured him and took another drink. "I own a chain of restaurants" he said simply, looking down at the menu, ordering a salad and lobster and telling the other to order whatever he wanted. "I was going to say you're welcome, and that I'll let you pick who you want to hire if you need more help. But I like Fischer, and he makes the best cream cheese icing" he said, leaning back with a slight grin on his face. He waited for his words to sink in and drank some more of his wine. "You're a good baker and person, your friend...uh.... Marx or something is it? Well his dad told me about you and I was planning on opening up another store anyways. And you're extremely cute" he concluded, running a hand through his dark hair as his cheeks flushed slightly. "My name is Simon, Simon Aaron Kovak" he told him almost as an afterthought.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira blushed when Aaron brushed the flour off of his face and ordered a soup and spaghetti, before sipping some of his water listening to what the other had to say. "Oh, don't get me wrong I like..." he slowed down as the beginning of Aaron sentence started to sink in "You-" he started, looking as if he was in almost shock. It couldn't be, this man was the beneficiary? He bit his lip and looked down at table in front of him. Marx's dad had told Aaron about him? He was a little too stunned to really say anything. He pushed some hair that had fallen into his face behind his ear. "S-simon..." he said slowly, as if everything was slowly clicking together in his head.

"Do..." he started and bit his lip fidgeting a bit, he felt suddenly self conscious and wanted to make a good impression on the man before him. A feat that wouldn't be good for his lip, when he was nervous he chewed on his bottom lip and he was more than nervous now. "I, you...I mean." he stopped for a bit. "Do you go by Aaron or Simon?" he asked, thinking that it was probably Simon. "Or...I guess I should probably call you Mr. Kovak." he said, chewing on his lip. "Thank you for buying me the bakery, it was very kind of you." he continued to bite his lip, he wasn't really sure what was making him so formal, after all Simon Aaron Kovak had asked him out on what sounded like a date, not a business meeting. He had always wanted to meet this man, and other than the flower inside of his house...his thoughts trailed off and he stood up from the table, suddenly a little pissed off at the man sitting across from him. "You broke into my house!" he said, frowning "How...why did you do that?" he asked. "You can't...you just can't do that. I'm very flattered from all the letters and the roses, they were very sweet and the bakery...I've never wanted anything so much, but you can't just break into people's houses." he wanted to storm out, but something was keeping him standing there.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Simon smiled as the realization sunk in, watching him piece it together in his mind and look confused and then nervous, as if he had to impress him now. "Simon, call me Simon. Don't call me Mr. Kovak, that's my father and he was an old bat" he said, laughing a little. "I was happy to buy it, you're a good kid" he said and smirked as the other freaked out over his intrusion to his house. Simon sat there, waiting patiently for him to finish before he spoke again "are you going to sit back down now? Your food is getting cold and it wasn't cheap" he said, taking a bit of his lobster while the waiter poured him some more wine.

"I didn't mean to upset you or make you feel any less safe. But it wasn't too difficult for me to get in, I'm sending a man over Tuesday so you'll have to go into work late. I'll send my niece to help out in your absence. It really isn't safe for you to stay there though, could I convince you to stay with me just for the next two nights until the man can come and install a better system and locks?" Simon looked Akira over and took another sip "you're going to start bleeding if you keep chewing on your lip like that" he commented and reached over, taking his hand and looking him in the eyes "I brought you here because you're attractive and I would love to date you. I was going to wait longer to tell you who I was but I didn't want to lie to you either. So would you please stop worrying, you've already won my affections, just let me court you like a proper male" he practically begged, looking almost like a sad, lost puppy who needed love and attention.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira looked a little annoyed that the Simon told him to sit down, but he had waited patiently while Akira yelled at him. He sat down in a slight huff, his mouth dropping his disbelief as Simon explained to him what he was planning on doing. "Ah-uh..wh" he looked confused, caught off guard to everything. He glanced down to their hands and finally closed his mouth. He pulled his hand away and started to eat his soup in silence, thinking about what Simon had said. He bit his lip every now and then and did not look up to meet Simon's eyes, he wasn't trying to hurt his feelings, he really wasn't, but everything was just out of the blue for him, it freaked him out a bit.

"I-" he said, mid bite of the spaghetti, setting his fork down and looking up towards Simon. "I suppose I can give you a chance, after all you've given me a chance. I'll stay with you until you have a better system and locks put in place at my place." he said, shocked at how he was able to speak with such calmness. "I can't guarantee anything and I don't want to hurt you, you seem very kind." he explained, even though it was a slight lie, he could guarantee that this man would be able to win his heart and even if they way Simon did it was a bit unconventional, Akira found it to be very sweet and he couldn't help but love that Simon thought of him so dearly.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Simon could understand his frustration and didn't hold it against him. He was sure that Akira felt as if he was losing control of everything and he didn't want to suffocate him, he just wanted to keep him safe and and try to get him to like him. "Thank you" he said softly, nodding his head in thanks. Smiling when the other said he didn't want to hurt him, he drank some more. He was very good at hiding his emotions and was able to deny how emotionally invested he was in something or someone, unless hey reciprocated the feelings. "All I ask is for a chance, you don't know how much it means jus to be given that" he admitted and laughed quietly at himself "do you have your liscence?" he asked him, hoping that he did.

He finished his salad after the lobster and stood, stretching once Akira had also finished. He made a blatant move to toss him the keys so he wouldn't be caught off guard "you get to drive home. I'll tell you where to go" he said, climbing into the passenger seat without another word. The trip was fairly quiet besides the occasional comment on where to turn until they were sitting in the driveway of a house, a fairly small one at that, though it was extremely modern. "I've got a dog but she's a sweetheart, just let her sniff you out first" he advised, getting out and whistling, a red doberman running and jumping on him, biting at his hands playfully. "This is Roxi, my baby girl" he cooed and pet her as he led the other male inside, directing him to a room adjacent to his own where he could spend the next two nights.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

He had finished his meal when Simon threw him the keys he grabbed them and hesitated before following the other and getting into the driver's seat. The other didn't give him much choice but to drive and he very carefully drove, he didn't have his licenses, not in the slightest. When they finally got to where they were going he shut the blasted car off and got out of the car. He was shaking slightly but quickly covered it when he saw the dog. He smiled and nodded "Of course." he followed the man into the home and looked around "You have a nice house." he said and opened the door. "I take it this will be my room?" he questioned and stepped into the room. "Oh, by chance, is there a bus stop around here?" he asked.

He knew he wouldn't be able to walk from this home to his bakery. He really didn't want to drive to the bakery, he had already driven illegally once and he wasn't planning on doing it again. He was slightly ashamed that he didn't know how to drive, but cars and the like terrified him. He looked at Simon and smiled softly "If you don't mind I would like to take a shower and head to bed, I'm kind of tired." he said, really he was still shaking inside from driving the car and he wanted to be allowed to shake in peace.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

"Thank you. And yes, this will be your room for the two nights and if you ever need somewhere to stay" he told him, leaning against the door frame. "There's no bus stop but I'll drive you to the bakery. It's on my way to work anyway." He didn't know why the other didn't know how to drive, though he had done pretty well driving his car even though he had driven like a grandma. It was clear he was shaken up by the experience and he moved closer to him, grabbing his arm gently and speaking softly "you did just fine, stop worrying. I had more to drink than I was planning on having and I wasn't going to risk driving when I could hurt you" he told him, touching his face gently as he looked on his perfectly smooth skin.

"I'm sorry. The...uh..shower is through that door. Towels are in the cabinet and shampoo and everything are underneath the sink" he said, turning and beginning to walk into his room "oh and Akira, if you need anything I'm right next door" he said, smiling a little and running a hand through his hair, going into his room and closing the door. He stripped and laid on his bed in a pair of boxers, yawning and falling asleep quickly from the alcohol he had already consumed that night.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira blushed, looking very ashamed. "I'm sorry..." he said quietly and glanced down to the hand that was touching his face. He nodded and glanced over to the shower "Thank you, again, for everything." he said, before heading into the shower and getting undressed and taking a quick shower. He let himself calm down from the driving experience and getting clean at the same time. After he had finished with getting clean he put the same clothes on that he had come in. This wasn't going to look so good when he got to work.

Akira got into the bed and hesitated before taking all his clothes off, at least they wouldn't looked wrinkled when he put them on the next morning, he fell asleep only to wake up early the next morning. He got up and got dressed again, moving out of the room and locating the kitchen. He looked around it a bit and finally found what he was looking for. He started to make a breakfast for him and Simon. Eggs, bacon, toast. The basics.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Simon woke up later than he meant to, walking out of his room in only his underwear, looking surprised to see Akira standing there and making breakfast. Half of his hair was standing straight up and the other side stuck out from his head at an awkward angle. "Oh. Good morning" he said, still looking confused "I didn't make an ass out of myself last night did I? I think I drank more then I thought I did" he said, opening a bottle of asprin and taking a couple. He went back into his room momentarily and brought Akira a clean set of clothes "here, these should fit, they might be a little big but they're clean" he said, sitting on a barstool and rubbing his eyes. He threw the males clothes and his own in the washing machine so that they could start being cleaned "I'll run you by your house later so you can get some more clothes, sorry I didn't think about that earlier" he said and shook his head.

Simon watched the boy cook, smirking a little. He was a good house wife, he thought to himself. He ate a few pieces of bacon and three eggs, seeming to not be able to get enough of his cooking, laughing as he practically ate himself sick. "You're amazing. Why don't you go teach my chefs how to cook, they don't cook nearly as well as you do" he praised, realizing that he should probably go and put some clothes on. He went to take a quick shower, singing loudly though fairly on key as he did. He wore jeans and a t-shirt, waiting for Akira to be ready and driving him to the bakery, putting the car in park and walking him in, Regina and Fischer already present. "Sorry, I kept him out late and I slept in too late" he said, shrugging. "Fischer! I need another cake for the guys today" he called out to him, leaning against the counter and smiling at Akira "would you get me a cupcake please?" he asked, thanking him and eating it in one bite. He tipped him a twenty and walked out "I'll see you at seven, okay?" he asked, winking at him and climbing back into his car to go to work. Regina came up during a slow part of the day "so, you slept with him on the first date?" she asked him, thinking that Akira didn't seem like the type to do that, though her boss slightly did.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira looked over "You made me drive a car I'm absolutely terrified of, but no, you didn't make an ass out of yourself." he smiled a little bit, not taking any harm to the first part of his sentence. He pushed the finished breakfasts onto plates and quickly changed into the clothes the Simon gave him. He looked at himself in the mirror and shrugged, it would have to do for the moment. As he came back into the room he made a few more things for breakfast and ate it himself, he looked up when Simon told him that he should teach his chefs how to cook. "I don't think I could take on another job." he said, smiling softly. "I could always cook for you while I'm here." he suggested.

He waited for Simon to get ready and grabbed him a cupcake when he was asked, glancing at the twenty and tried to stop Simon from leaving, but was too slow and just put the tip in the tip jar so that it could be separated between the three of them. Everything went back to normal until Regina decided to ask about their date. "I-I did not!" he said and blushed bright red. "I would not, I barely know him." he looked away from Regina. "I- the clothes are his but that's because it was late and he's getting me a new lock and security system so I'm staying at his place. We didn't stop by my place and get clothes, so you know..." he gestured to himself.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

"Oh good. Well, the me being an ass part." Simon smiled brightly when he offered to cook "that would be the most wonderful thing ever. I haven't eaten at home in months. I'm a little ashamed of the fact but I can't cook to save my life. I burn water" he admitted, shrugging a little. He knew the other would protest to his donation but the others would refuse to take part of it if they knew it was from him. He had to admit that he rather liked seeing the boy in his clothing and he might 'forget' to get him clothes more often. Regina smirked as she looked at him "I don't know why you wouldn't. He'd sleep with you in a heartbeat, it's obvious from the way he looks at you. And he's gorgeous, he would make beautiful babies." She said, sending him a knowing look and going back to work.

During the day a man came and delivered two dozen yellow roses from a Mr. Kovak, much to Simon's disapproval, but they would never just use his first name. The phone rang in the back and Fischer called for Akira to come and answer it "hey, I hope you liked the flowers, and they are from Simon not Mr. Kovak. Oh, and I'm having you cater our board meeting Thursday so tell Fischer and Regina I'm sending them three more people and another oven because I need three hundred cupcakes and I'm taking you out tonight. Or in, since you said you'd cook. Is that okay?" he asked, not knowing if it was appropriate but he was planning on doing it either way. The other male and woman working with Akira wouldn't dare let him stay and help working when Simon wanted to do something with him, oh the joys of paying salaries. "Oh, and I'll have to pick you up at five so we can go get your stuff and go shopping, because I don't have any food at home, as you've seen" he said, telling the utter truth.

RE: Best Friend's Love (PrincessGumdrop, Church)

Akira blushed bright red "I-I...really?" he bit his lip "You really think so?" he asked. When the flowers came his jaw dropped. "I-I..um, thank you." he said to the man and looked at the name, chuckling. He was sure it was from Simon and not his father, he set the flowers in the vase with the other two and headed to the back when Fischer called him "Hello?" he asked, chuckling as the other explained exactly what he suspected. "Th-three hundred cupcakes. Oh, Simon, I really feel like I should..." he frowned when it was obvious that Simon wasn't going to take no for answer. "Yeah, okay." he said and sighed after he hung up the phone and headed to tell Regina and Fischer.

It wasn't any help that neither of his employees were allowing him to stay and help. "Are you sure guys?" he asked, as he looked at the clock and the outside of the shop. "I mean really, I'm sure I can..." he trailed off, they all knew that Simon wasn't going to take no for an answer, ever. "Never mind." he said and shook his head "Please. Text me if you ever need anything, even if it's just a small question." he told them and headed outside to wait for Simon.

"Okay, so can we please get some of my clothes, I can bring some of my food from home over, that way it doesn't go to waste." he explained and smiled. "What were you looking at having?" he asked.

Both of his employees were perfectly fine letting him leave. They didn't want to be the ones taking the brunt of Simon's anger if they pissed him off, for they had seen it before and knew not to be in the line of fire when it happened. Though it was obvious Simon was taking his 'courting' very seriously. "Of course we'll go by your house, that's why I came and picked you up a little early" he said, frowning when his phone rang "I told you not to call me. I told you the address, and yes they need it tonight. Well then call James" he said finally and hung up the phone, turning it off and focusing on Akira again. "Well, I was thinking sea bass with snow peas and mashed potatoes but whatever you want to do is fine. I really don't want to take advantage of you. Macaroni and cheese with hot dogs would be wonderful as long as you're there dining with me."

Simon hadn't had a boyfriend in years, and had grown extremely lonely, especially since there wasn't even anyone that he could flirt with or try to impress. Akira was a blessing, and he felt as grateful for Akira as he was of him. When they arrived the door was slightly open and Simon went in first, looking around and forcing Akira to stay in the car. He was surprised to actually see a man, digging through the boys things "hey!" he shouted, realizing too late that he was armed. He heard the shot before he felt it, falling to the ground in shock and watching the male run out of the building, holding his thigh to stop the bleeding, though the bullet was still lodged in his leg. He hoped that he didn't try to steal his car with Akira in it, blacking from the pain.

"I don't think I have any sea bass in my kitchen. How about.." he thought about it "Some steak and snow peas and mashed potatoes?" he asked, "I'm almost positive I have steak in the kitchen." Akira had a slight blush on his face, the 'take advantage' having caught him off guard for some reason. Most likely because of his and Regina's early conversation. He tried to get out of the car when Simon told him to stay in it. He looked up to his house and bit his lip, jumping when he heard the gun shot. "Oh my god." he said and looked at his building, begging for Simon to come out of the building, but he saw the another man instead.

Akira got out of the car and headed up to his place. He stepped back when the man came up to him and he bit his lip, closing his eyes begging for the man not to take him. He hadn't seen anything, just heard something and was going to investigate. He felt the touch of the man's hands and closed his eyes even tighter. He felt the man push him down but leave without him. Akira winced when he hit the ground and walked up hurrying to get into his place. "Simon!" he called "Simon!" he screamed when he saw Simon on the floor "no, no, no, no, no." he said and hurried to call the police and begged for them to hurry up, working his hands over the wound so that the bleeding would stop. "oh my god, oh my god." he was in a slight panic when the police and the ambulance finally got there, he refused to stay in the home and got in the ambulance with Simon, riding the way to the hospital with him. His hands bloody.
