Somewheeeeere over the raaainbow!
The morning was brisk and the waves broke against the docks. The harbor was crowded with ships and people. Crowded and in an uproar. These towns wer always in an uproar. There was always some new juicy piece of gossip, or something about to happen. It was almost amusing. The gossip today concerned the ship that had docked the night before. It was a large Galleon, beautiful and intimidating at the same time. The rumor was that this ship was in fact Tempête et Flammes, a rather infamous pirate ship, and that it had landed in this town as wither preparation for a trip or escaping from the spanish. The fact was, they were preparing, but anyone that wasn't part of the crew would know that. They were preparing for the greatest adventure of thier lives. The pirates were looking for treasure. They could pillage and pluder all they liked on the high seas. No one to judge them and none to get in thier way. But still, they needed one last thing...

Rene Prideux, the captain and mastermind behind the plan. Many questioned his sanity. everytime the prospect of an easy life reared it's head he'd jump at the oppertunity. Really he was pretty stable, he just viewed the world differently. Right now he paced the floor in his captain's quarters. Something he'd done so often he was nearly wearing a hole in the floor. Right now he needed something. He needed a navigator. He needed someone he could trust with the location of gold and coordinates to the place they would hide it. None of the scum of board now would cut it. Not even his first mate. That's why he was here. He could always kill the navigator when it was all over. Sure that was barbaric and evil, but he didn't get where he was by being nice. Rene Prideux was a frenchman. He came froma wealthy family and left simply of wanderlust. His family had taught him battle strategies and how to fence. His rapier work was nothing to scoff at. That's what kept his in the captain's position. That and the fact that he had a rather intimidating stare.

Alphonse, the first mate, walked in the door. He was a hulk of a man who knew his way around an interrogation. The man knew how to get information. That's the main reason he was the first mate. He knew how to get things done. It was a trait that Rene admired. He towered over Rene, but respected him greatly and would never do anything to harm him.
"Sir, what are your orders?" The brutish man asked.
"Get ready Alphonse, we set sail soon. I need time for one last trip to the tavern." Rene said, his accent thick. "If we cannot find what I need 'ere, we shall 'ave to make one last stop."
Rene wanted to leave already, if he didn't find what he wanted here, he would be very cross. With a wave of his hand he dismissed his first mate. He adjusted his rapier on his belt and left the boat. He walked down the boarding ramp and headed toward town.

Tala gave a sigh as she sat in her apartment that was on the top of the Tavern. She had came here just a few months ago as she rented the place out she started to redo her maps. She had a ton of maps as they were all scattered about her room as she sat at the table making some corrections. Though as she worked harder on them she suddenly felt like pulling out something special as she gave a smirk she pulled out a canister that held the map pulling it out she then laid it out and started to look it over. It was actually the map to the biggest treasure known. It was the God's treasures that was left here after they went back to the heavens. It was even said that if you find the island you will find the first clue's to finding the fountain of Youth. She gave a smile as she looked it over once more as she knew just where all the hidden islands were and loved the fact that she knew then yet she also knew the dangers of it as her and her brother had gone there before. Yet she had been the only one to make it back.

Rene found his way to the tavern. As he entered he glanced around at the colorful patrons and set his sights at the barman. He strode across the room hilding his head high. He got a few glances from people thinking he might be important. Rene dressed nicely and always held himself with dignity, even when completely angry. He sat down at the bar. The barman took notice immediatly and came over to take his order. When asked what he would like he replied with, "Information." A simple phrase, but one that potentially caused alot of termoil. Alot of men didn't like to give out information. But Rene held up a small sack filled with a few shillings. The smell of money sent most men into a loose-lipped frenzy. The man eyed the sack. "Y-Yes Sir." he muttered.
"Tell me, where can one find a navigator in these parts?" Rene asked, staring down the man. He would accept nothing but the truth. If he lied so help him he would...
"Sir, there's one living upstairs." he quickly surst out.
Rene smiled, the gods were on his side today. After getting the room this navigator was in, Rene passed the sack to the man and started walking upstairs. Just who would this person be? Rene found the door and opened it without knocking. He didn't have time to waste and was eager to get moving. Inside was the last thing he expected, a woman, crouched over something. Where was the navigator?

Tala was shocked when she heard the door open she turned around quickly her hand moving to cover her map with others. "Who are you and just who do you think you are coming in here" she stated as she started towards him. Though as she looked him over she noticed how he was dressed and figured that he was a pirate right off the bat. "If you need something then you knock and ask. Don't come into the room like you own the damn place" she said as she stood her ground her hands going to her hips as her blonde hair slip in front of her eyes as she didn't have her usual headgear on that kept it controlled. "Is there something you needed?" she asked as she looked him straight in the eyes. She was a very strong woman not someone to be taken lightly in truth her brother always said she could be with the best of the men no matter what others said.

Rene smiled. It was to mask the slight annoyance he had felt at being adressed like a common thief. Still, he spoke with an even voice. "Yes, I'm looking for a navigator. I was told one might be here." he said to her. Rene walked into the room despite what this girl was saying? What was she hiding? He didn't approach her however. But his curiosity was getting the better of him. She had something interesting on the table there, that much was clear. Buy from his position all he could see was a piece of paper. Was she writing a letter? Or perhaps that was the navigators map, and she was here to steal it? Rene laughed inwardly, it was an amusing thought. If she was a thief though, then she had no buisiness telling him to just get out. Maybe she was his wife? Or she was a whore? Why did he even care? He didn't, it was just a few thoughts to pass the time while he stared her down.

As she heard that he was looking for a navigator she stared him down only he seemed to be looking towards her desk. "Yes I'm one. What do you need?" she asked as she took a side step into his view of her desk. She wasn't sure but she didn't like the way he was looking towards her desk and more so with the fact she knew what was there on her desk. "If you need of a map I can pull one for you" she stated as she had many maps yet she had a feeling this wasn't going to be fun. "So what is it you need from me" she said again as her eyes stayed on his. She was never one to trust a man as far as she could throw him though with her build it showed there was a bit of muscle there so fighting was easily done for her.

Her? This is the navigator? Rene had asked for a navigator and the barman had given him a woman? Of all the...
Rene wanted to go and strangle the bastard downstairs right now. But he was still faced with this girl. Was she really a navigator? She must be one of some renown if this is the first one the barman thought of. Or maybe she was simply to closest one and the barman wanted money. No, there was no way she was a navigator. Still Rene thought he would play along for now and see what she had to offer. "I'm looking for a navigator. One to take with me on a trip, a trip which has a purpose that can be dicussed in private." he said. He was annoyed that she was obviously trying to hide what was on the table. If she was a navigator she would just at this oppertunity, no? If not he could just pull out his sword and demand she hand over anything she was hiding. She looked like she'd been in a couple scrapes but that could be something he could handle, right?

Tala looked to him as she noticed how he seemed to get a little upset when she stated that she was who he was looking for. "Hoping to see a guy weren't you" she stated more than asked as she leaned back against the desk. Though as he stated he wanted someone to take with him for a trip she looked him dead in the eyes. "Yeah well it seems we are in a private room so you should speak now before I find you wasting my time" she stated as she was sure there wasn't anything new he could tell her. In truth she was sure she could actually teach him a thing or two. Though as she noticed how he kept eyeing the desk she was glade her sword was actually behind her. She could easily get it even if he tried to stop her she had a few daggers on her that could buy her the time.
