ROLEPLAY REQUEST
giphy.gif

I'm looking to begin a long-term, male x male roleplay. Before you enter, I will lay down some ground rules about how I work so that you can see whether or not we'll mesh well. If you find that you're all right with everything though, feel free to continue onward down the post and hopefully message me for a roleplay.

---

POSTING, POST-LENGTH, & LITERACY

When roleplaying, I generally go for 2-5 paragraphs per post (5-6 sentences each) in 3rd person perspective. I can go a little higher than that if my partner wishes, but I will not go below 2 paragraphs, and actually prefer it if the general minimum posted is 3 paragraphs. That being said, I expect the same amount back that I give (and vice versa). If I'm posting 4-5 paragraphs per response while you're doing 2, I lose my motivation to respond rather quickly. And speaking of, I'd prefer my partner take at the most a week to respond to our roleplays. I generally am pretty quick with replies, but if for any reason you need more time than a week, just let me know. Take a week away, a month, or whatever. I don't care as long as you let me know. If you disappear for a week without any notice, then I will probably consider the roleplay dead and forget all about it. As for grammar and spelling, I don't mind the occasional slip-up. It happens to the best of us, and it really doesn't bother me when it's minor. But I will say that if you have trouble writing consistently, it will probably get on my nerves and deter me from wanting to carry on with the roleplay. When I'm constantly seeing jarring mistakes, it tends to break the atmosphere and feel of the story, so I wouldn't respond to this if it isn't your forte.

SMUT

I am completely fine with smut so long as it is not the main focus of the roleplay. Smut should make up around 25-50% of the roleplay, while 50-75% is the story/plot. On that note, I will also say that my characters are pretty much strictly bottom, and I'd prefer whoever I roleplay with's character to be the dominant role. That's not to say that my characters are all overtly submissive, but they do take rather than give. Come to me with any kinks you might have when we start to discuss that portion of the roleplay and we can talk about what works and what doesn't. As for some serious no-no's that I don't want on the table at all, no vore, gore, pedophilia, non-consensual sex, necrophilia, incest, or bathroom play. Sorry if any of those are your thing, but I don't want to be a part of it, thank you.

OOC & DISCUSSION

The final criteria that I have for my partner is that they be open to the potential for lots of OOC, or out-of-character discussion prior to (and sometimes during) the roleplay. Planning can help the roleplay go smoothly and remain interesting for both of us given my partner takes part in the discussion rather than just leaving it all for me to figure out and decide. If you aren't the planning type, this probably isn't the prompt for you. Regarding our characters, I'd very much like if you could provide a biography for them for me to read. I don't just want a few tidbits about them or simply a description of how they look. If you don't have one prior to messaging me though, I'm fine waiting for you to write one up- especially if we decide upon a roleplay that requires a specific sort of character. At that point it's understandable.

If all of these things are fine with you, then you may now progress on to the rest of the prompt!

PLOTS, IDEAS, & GENRES

Some of the ideas I have for roleplay plots I will list below, but only some! If you are intrigued but don't like any of the following ideas, still message me. I have more ideas other than these, and we can always hash out a new one together if you'd prefer! There are also some potential tropes I'm interested in trying out below, so if you pick one of those, we'd have to hash out a roleplay around it, anyway. I'm open to hearing any ideas of yours if you have them. These are just suggestions, after all. As for genres I favor, I enjoy fantasy, modern/fantasy, slice-of-life, drama, mystery, romance (obviously), and more depending on the idea we come up with. However, those are the main ones.

Something set in an apocalypse. This can be zombie related, or just post-fallout from warfare or the like. Either way, it's an interesting dynamic for two characters (especially when one of them has a dark secret they aren't letting on about that might try their trust in one another). One scenario for this I really want to try is something based after the game, "The Long Dark" (which for a quick summary, Wiki summarizes it as, "... The game takes place in the frigid Canadian wilderness where the player assumes the role of a crash-landed pilot struggling to survive after a global disaster, (a geomagnetic storm)." ).

A forced royal marriage for the sake of ending wars and joining territories. Our characters can either hate each other deeply at first, or it be a one-sided hatred where one of our characters hates the other, but they actually are very excited to be marrying them (can be set in a fantasy world, or modern AU depending on how you want to spin it).

A college roleplay where a bully (Y/C) goes soft for M/C (a simple fellow classmate, or maybe even one of the smartest student/president of the student body) upon their first meeting (a classic romance and change of heart story, but with homophobic drama and dark secrets incorporated). This can be set in high school so long as they are still 18 years or older and in their senior year.

Something with vampires (because that's always a fun but cheesy cliché to do). This could be an AU where vampires are common, or where they're still relatively unheard of/believed to be myths, but either way, this would be a sort of scenario where Y/C (a vampire) would come to rely on M/C for blood, and drama can then ensue afterwards!

An 'enemies turned lovers' scenario would be fantastic. I've also put this in the pairings area because it can kind of go into other plot scenarios here, but basically, I'd love to see some conflict between our characters before they begin to mellow out and go soft for each other. This could be a bully and a classmate (provided they are 18 or older), two people competing in a contest of some sort, long-term rivals, or basically anything. It's hard to give an exact idea for this because of how many ways it can be applied, but I'm putting it here just to show my interest in it.

A secret romance, which could really go a number of ways. This is something pretty easily matched with one of the below pairing ideas. For example, it could be a secret romance between a werewolf and a human because their clan doesn't allow it, or even because it's just seen as taboo (for whatever reason we decide to come up with). It could also potentially be a secret love that blossoms after Y/C gets engaged to a woman they don't actually really love, and the story would then be about them hiding it (and inevitably making up for the destruction it causes when people find out). Heck- maybe even a prince and his guard while the prince is being made to court another!

A drunk scenario where two characters end up sleeping with each other one night after meeting at a bar, and the rest of the roleplay is them basically having to cope with the consequences. They could both regret it/have reasons for wishing they hadn't, or just one could while the other pines for their runaway one night stand. Either way, I'm sure it'd be even better if they end up realizing they work together, and avoiding one another is absolutely impossible.

A mystery romance where our characters don't know they're in love. This could go a few ways, like possibly having them fall in love during a masquerade ball or online while they otherwise don't know each other, don't socialize, or hate one another.

They're pining for one another, but neither can seem to admit it. I'm not sure what their reasoning could be, but a few options are that they're frightened of the repercussions, or even just afraid that the other doesn't like them- let alone see them.

Pretending to be a couple is also another trope I love despite how simple it is sometimes. Maybe our two protagonists have ex's they want to avoid so they use one another to hide from them- only to fall in love in the end. It could even potentially be just one of them trying to avoid an ex, and in the heat of the moment they grab the closest person they can find to do it. Hell- maybe even they kiss them to make their ex run off, but a quick bribe- or pure curiosity- shuts the stranger up for the time being.

They're rich, but failed to mention it. This one basically would begin with a lot of courting on Y/C's end- a romance that just really hit it off from the start, and leaving the both of them desiring more. However, what M/C is unaware of is the fact that Y/C is secretly filthy stinking rich. Now, this could be something they actively try to hide or just fail to mention, but either way, it's bound to cause drama. Alternatively, it could be M/C having to live with yours for one reason or another, and upon showing up the day of the move, the mansion sends them completely for a loop. Now, if we were to go that route, a few of the below pairings could also be added in.

Vampire x Human
Demon x Human
Werewolf x Human
Rich x Poor
Flirt x Naive
Confident x Shy
Boss x Employee
Bully x College Student/Classmate
Assassin x Target
Neighbor x Neighbor
Engaged x Lover
Alpha x Omega (basically the implication of the Omegaverse AU; this one can be added to basically anything).
Homophobic Male x Homosexual Male
Singer/Actor/Model x Fan/"Nobody" (and vice versa)
Singer/Actor/Model x Singer/Actor/Model
Male Dominatrix x Rebellious Male
Prince/Peasant x Peasant/Prince
Enemy x Enemy
Adventurous x Anxious

CHARACTERS

I have a website with all my rules and characters on it, which I will provide a link to below. This link is also on my profile if you ever need quick access to it in the future. The rules on this website are pretty general- just listing what I do and don't put up with when roleplaying, but it's all easy stuff if you are good with everything I said above. The website is also new, so not all of my character's biographies are available for viewing yet. If you see one you find interesting though that isn't yet available, bring it up when you message me, and I might be able to finish it up or find a miniature version lying around somewhere! As for what my characters are like, they all vary in personality (and even location). Some are set in Japan, others in America, and even a few in England. They all also have (given my love for the modern/fantasy genre) abilities tailored specifically to their characters. If that's not your cup of tea, I may be able to remove their powers to better suit them to a simple slice-of-life/drama scenario. And if you like a character that is not set in a region similar or close to your own character's, I can also hash up some sort of excuse why they'd be elsewhere (provided the plot allows for it).
