Introduction
Where do ancient knights, celestial rebels, killer queens and alien patriarchs spend their shore leaves? Why, they travel to The Crystal Observatory, of course! Located between the center of the universe and the platonic ideal of love, The Crystal Observatory is the hottest place for relaxation, diplomacy and alternative lifestyles! Enjoy our game room, indoor waterpark, public baths, guest rooms and VIP lounges!

Located on the ancient tropical world Aeregos, The Crystal Observatory is surrounded by gorgeous white beaches and pink oceans, as well as deep jungles full of ancient mysteries! The Crystal Observatory occasionally gathers groups to explore the nearby jungles and return the treasures in their ruins to museums in nearby cities connected to the ruins' cultures. The Crystal Observatory is also in driving distance of a number of cities full of unique dining and entertainment opportunities, all discounted when you use your Crystal Observatory All-Access Pass!

You are a VIP, of course, so you'll get only the best. Luxury suites, all-access tours, and the resort's own private beach. Enjoy!

Explanation

This is a discord LGBTQ+ friendly roleplay. The idea is to bring together accepting, diverse roleplayers into a space which is both safe and exciting. This is mostly meant to be a hang-out type roleplay, but there will be occasional "expeditions" which have characters adventuring into the nearby jungles. It's a WIP, and I'd love to have folks come by and help develop things. There is a pretty brief internal application process.

Rules

1. OOC consent must be established before any sexual or romantic advances are made IC. Any player can withdraw OOC consent at any time, and the scene must end immediately without any further sexual or romantic contact.

2. There are few limits on characters, as those who have been inducted into TCO have been vetted and trusted to take its setting semi-seriously. Characters should not constrict the ability or desire of other characters to exist in a space, i.e. characters who are excessively large and thus make entire areas unusable. Characters must come from your own imagination - if your characters are found to be from other pieces of fiction, you will be asked to change them substantially.

3. Feel free to ask questions or give suggestions to Lily, the current administrator. She can add new channels or expand moderation if necessary.

4. This server is invite-only, so you're expected to act with decency and respect toward your fellow players OOC. No bigotry is permitted - racism, homophobia, transphobia, acephobia, religious discrimination and use of non-reclaimed slurs are not permitted. Respect names and pronouns!

5. Consensual Non-Consent Roleplay is permitted in The Crystal Observatory, but it first requires an agreement to be made OOCly between the players, and it must begin and end in a private room in the CNC Private category. This is to prevent re-traumatization of those who don't wish to see those sorts of encounters. If there's enough requests, public rooms explicitly meant for CNC may be added.

6. For each public room, there is a channel for public sexual encounters. Please use these if your characters wish to have sex in a public room, as the primary public channels are mostly meant for socialization and flirting.

7. You will not be permitted to use any of the channels until you note your pronouns. This is to encourage a trans-friendly and pronoun-normative environment.

8. A first violation will result in a talking to. A second violation will result in a one-week suspension. A third violation will result in a permanent banning. Cases of consent violation may be taken more seriously than other violations.
