Hey peeps, just going to mostly check in on this sporadically so don't expect any regular schedules for this but will mostly be posting excerpts of my real life DnD adventurers loving re-created in text format. As of right now I actually have not one but two bits from the same adventure that run together well.

1:

As the beak of the might kraken crunched through the dark wood hull of his vessel Buchak Shadowkiller knew that he had to do something, this creature had been allowed to live for far too long simply because of his enjoyment of battle. Still reeling from the weight of the impact the skaven pirate wheeled around and shouted to his second in command. "Take tha wheel ye bilge rat!" As he yelled, Buchak drew his twin katanas and bolted towards the aft of his ship. Without one hint of caution he leapt up and over the railing and disappeared from view.

He cackled madly as he hurdled down, orienting his swords so that they pointed downward towards the kraken still stuck into the rear of his warship. The wind caused his demonic red cloak to flap upwards behind him and the two canine heads that rested upon his shoulders shuddered almost as if they were alive once more. Yet in mere moments the captain landed hard on the rubbery smooth flesh of the aquatic beast and drove his blades deep between its massive eyes.

The attack killed the beast near instantly, piercing what passed for a brain and forcing the many long tentacles to flail wildly around him. After a few moments of frigid waters raining down upon him and his ship the kraken slumped lifeless, the corpse only capable of being dragged behind the ship as its beak remained firmly wedged into the tough wooden hull.

With a satisfied grin Buchak withdrew his blooded blades and looked to survey the rest of the battle nearby. They had lost one ship, now quickly slipping down beneath the waves, but they had killed two of the beasts and wounded three others. It was a good opener, but the real battle was yet to come as the Darkwater navy was fast approaching. Soon they'd be in the fray once more but, then again, he wouldn't have it any other way.

The Darkwater ships had been destroyed, or at least all except one which floated aimlessly without a crew. Their fleshy half-living ships were beyond disturbing, but thankfully incapable of acting without a crew much like any other vessel. Buchak and his companions had some time to prepare for the return of those kracken that survived the initial bout. After some deliberation they decided to load their remaining depth charges aboard the badly damaged vessel known as the 'Sunken Treasure' and use it as bait for at least one of the three beasts to grapple while they detonated it from range. The rest of the crew would board the minotaur's transport vessel and sail a short distance to safety while his own Skaven pirates, and an elite crew of knights and adventurers, remained aboard his vessel known as 'The Perfekt Plan'.

With the Sunken Treasure in front it wasn't terribly long after that the beasts appeared once more, one grasping its long tentacles around the vessel as it attempted to pull the ship under without realizing its error. A loud bang echoed from the deck as one of the bow cannons fired and hit the mark directly, heavy cannonball splintering the wood as it tore a hole through the aft and sparked the volatile charges within. At once the ship erupted in a cacophony of destruction, the blast ripping the ship to pieces and sundering the flesh of the kraken to bits as it died in an instant. Thick chunks of flesh rained down upon the area, coating his deck with the remnants as a loud cheer of guttural squeaks erupted from his salty crew.

The rest of the battle went smoothly as well, seizing the momentum from the start as they took down the remaining two. One got stuck in the sturdy rigging of his vessel and the crack-shot captain drew his green-runed rifle from his back and leaned over the side to squeeze off the round. The barrel glowed and lit up the etched runes as the weapon cracked out with the miniature explosion that propelled the large green crystalline shard into the kraken's brain and saw it go limp in an instant and fall away from the ship in short order. The other creature proved more difficult to kill with its ability to cast magic, but in the end they wounded it enough that nature itself ran its course as sharks surrounded and bit into its rubbery hide to finish it off.

An hour passed and saw them recover somewhat from the bout of exhaustion the caster had inflicted them with as well as the necessary repairs to keep his ship seaworthy. But one problem remained, how to slip under the waves and into the city below them. The solution? Use the Darkwater's own ship against them. They repaired the fleshy ship with wood and tar, the efforts not entirely sufficient but good enough to service their needs, and in a moment of luck and inspiration attempted to manipulate the brain of the vessel. It was foreign and bizarre, needing three to utilize properly, but he and two of his crew managed the task as the water-tight ship sunk and carried them to their destination.

The interior of this base was gross even by Skaven standards as the walls, doors, and even floors, were made of spongy flesh that squished with each step but they needed the Orb of Tornami or at least they needed to destroy it. They came across a door of stone, the only thing that stood out as strange, and with some effort managed to open it. They were rewarded with a creature so powerful that the simple act of it speaking into their minds stunned them in their tracks as it warned them to flee. But being that this place was so obviously evil Buchak watched as his holy companion gripped the amulet around his neck and spoke out a call to invoke its power, a rift opening beneath this spawn of Cthulu as harpies flew out and attempted to pull this thing to Hades. Yet in an instant he simply focused his power and disappeared to negate the effect.

The orb was upon an altar at the end of the room, blocked by some form of barrier they could not breach with anything alive and the monstrosity was fast reforming into the room itself. While his group bickered and argued, Buchak pulled the rope from his belt and, with incredible and practiced deftness, tied it into a lasso that even the greatest rope worker would be proud of and tossed it through the barrier to ring the orb and tighten around it. The help of his allies saw that rope tugged upon and the orb secured as they fled, the creature reforming behind said barrier and shouting in anger at his inability to escape in time to stop their retreat.

They had done it, they had saved the world from complete flooding, and yet none of them would ever realize it as they sailed away with both his flagship and the captured vessel back to the kingdom of Cheval. To them they had simply outsmarted a creature that was far beyond their power and earned the favor of Buchak's home nation in the process. Not to mention a fair bit of loot too. All in all not a bad job for a bunch of scurvy Skaven pirates and the shanties they sung kept spirits high all the way back home. "Down, down, down, down. Down among the dead men let him lie!"
Character level 12th.

Use rope check = 41
