The premise is: A small kingdom is plagued by the presence of a very powerful (though very enigmatic) Dark Lord, who attacked the kingdom and rained destruction upon it over a century ago. Nowadays, keeps to himself in a mountain fortress protected by magical barriers and hordes of loyal cultists and hellish beasts alike. Every year, on the anniversary of his first conquest, each village, town, and city in the kingdom forfeit a massive offering to him. For some cities, they offer up large sums of gold and jewels. Others offer up their bountiful harvests and best livestock for collection. Villages that are foolish enough to refuse an offering, or those whose offerings are deemed unfit are punished by calamity and misfortune.
This year, as the yearly offering draws nigh, a rather unique offering has been sent: The offering of a living person.
Now, the circumstances of why they were sent are wholly up to you!
Some ideas are: Perhaps the village had nothing better to give, so they picked some unfortunate person who was deemed the most beautiful/worthy/etc. Or perhaps in a desperate bid for favor, a nobleman/the King sent a child as an offering? Perhaps the person went willingly in an act of martyrdom for their people's sake. Or maybe the kingdom sent a hero as a sacrifice with the hope of finally defeating the Dark Lord and freeing the kingdom from his scourges.
The possibilities are endless, honestly!
Anyhow, for more technical stuff:
I am 21 and Female in real life, although I prefer to play male characters. I don't really care what your gender is or what you identify as, as long as you are over 18. I don't feel comfortable RPing with minors.
Violence and darker themes are a given in this, but I will not roleplay straight-up rape. Dubious consent might be a possibility however, given the situation. So if that makes you uncomfortable, please let me know.
I rp over PMs, email, and discord. I don't immediately give out my discord, however, and so I ask that we talk for a bit before then if you want to use discord.
When writing, I use 3rd person past tense. I don't like using first person.
I will not kill your character without your permission, and I also do not god-mod, even when playing powerful characters. That shit is super annoying.
I do prefer plot and build up, and I do hope that this ends up long-term. I'm a sucker for enemies to friends to lovers, and I love a good redemption arc. However, if you're looking for a quick hook-up/smut piece, then that's fine too. Just say so and I can adjust my pacing.
