Alexis, whos adoptive name is now Raven had just come home after being gone for almost two weeks. Her last assignment was tiring. She had to trick a scientist of another country into believing she was on one of them to gain information on a biochemical weapon they were working on while she passed the information to our government, in which she also had to tamper with to make it ineffective, all during which they were running her through a special type of boot camp. After a night of sleep that was very much needed she was getting ready for school the next morning as if she never missed a day. It was all set up with the government. She would be covered. Not that it mattered, they had her on super drugs by day and kept her training all night. She never even had the chance to take the time to think about the day her parents told her they were enrolling her in a government program and she was to do as they say. Now they both have cozy government jobs and she is training and working all the time.

It wasn't always like this, she use to have fun with the private teachers that would come and teach her how to protect herself, use her abilities and oh so much more. But after months of tests, and meetings, drills and more, her own personality slowly is becoming that of a mere past thing, her individuality slipping away she began to mold into what they wanted of her.

She was in all advanced classes and the government had her specially set up so that things they did were not suspicious, when the girl disappeared for a few weeks she would still have all her homework turned in and never missed a beat.

She got a call from her mother. This was a tad rare but she shrugged it off. "I have another assignment this week so you won't have to worry so much." Her voice was almost void of emotion. They had a winter camp over the holidays that worked her to the core. Stripped her of what they could. She looked over the contents of the folder before her and researched the government database for additional information she may need. "I got to get ready, Victor will be here to get me in a few hours. Take care." 'click' That was it. Nothing more. She was in assassin mode now and nothing can get her out of it.

Alex leaned back into the cracked and stained leather of the chair that dominated the middle of his apartment. It didn't look like much but the young man didn't care too much about what the place looked like. He had better places to put his money than into any sort of comfort in his own apartment. He might look like a normal boy but in truth what a person looked like didn't always mean that was what he was. The young man was one of those few with powers, one of the few that was more than just human, and one of the few that the government wanted to kill every chance they got.

Alex sighed and closed his eyes, erasing the small apartment from his vision. His mind slide away from his body, almost drifting on the winds as he scaned from mind to mind. He was a telepath, able to read the minds of people though in this case a strong draw pulled on his mind, dragging him away from other thoughts to one particular set of thoughts he knew well. A mind that ran close to his own and so could easily draw him in. His sisters.

Of course she didn't know that but that didn't stop the connection between the two of them. Things had happened in their lives, not that he knew everything about what had happened when they were young yet, but he knew he knew more than her. She was a pawn at the moment, nothing more, brainwashed by the government. That was where his money was going. He hadn't met his sister but he didn't want her under the control of the government either.

Alex sighed again. He coudl feel that his sister was in killing mode again. Her thoughts always changed whenever she was moving to that, mostly because her normal thoughts died and the brainwashing took effect. He didn't like this mind, not recognizing the thoughts as the sister that he had followed for several years.
