Astronomy
Planet Carcia is a world drifting alone in her social system. The only natural lights from the sky being emitted by the red dwarf from which the planet orbits around and two moons that orbit the planet herself. An asteroid belt exists within the solar system as well. Once a year, several large comets that orbit through the asteroid belt knocking several shards of asteroid towards Carcia. This leads to the yearly rainbow showers. Each asteroid shard has a different material makeup which leads to different colors when burning in the planet's atmosphere. Those rocks that manage to make it to the ground without burning of completely are considered magical stones. Days and nights remain relatively long: The long day cycle lasts for twenty-four hours while the night cycle lasts for another twenty-four. Each full day and night cycle lasts 48 hours. During the two seasons, specific areas on the planet can have longer days and shorter nights: The Summer Season can lead to thirty hour days and eighteen hour nights, The Winter Season can lead to thirty hour nights and eighteen hour days. The planet is large, itself containing four oceans and several large bodies of water. Depending on the location of the moons in their orbit, waters could surge several meters above their natural levels. On its surface, it contains four active supervolcanoes and several large islands that surround two continents.

The Oceans
The hegemony of the lands is only split apart by the oceans that split them. Each ocean contains its own ecology, biology, and landscape that differ from each other. Their domain covers the planet, dominating their own regions. Sailors from near and far understand that the four oceans are quite different from each other. Lacking knowledge of any of them can lead to one's quick demise. Each ocean is described to be a lady, each one of the four known for their personalities based on the environment.
The Ocean of Nieve, The Lady of Ice
To the north surrounding the pole of Carcia is a frozen ocean known as the ocean of Nieve, the lady of ice. The ice standing above the surface of the water is thick enough to walk through, effectively making it a floating continent. Right in the dead center of this frigid place is a supervolcano that erupts once every three hundred years. Its fumes blanket the skies above the ocean, causing a permanent snowfall over the region. It forces an eternal winter. Underneath the ice lay water, hundreds of meters deep. Far below the surface lay what rumors believe is an ancient kingdom that used the power of the volcano for their own power. Hidden technologies are hidden from the scope of kingdoms above the surface. Who knows what treasures lie below. Those who wander the surface of the ice could hear rumblings from those mechanical creatures that still explore the kingdom's ancient, abandoned halls. Large marine animals roam directly underneath the surface of the ice, snatching at unlucky prey exploring the surface. Those who have traveled here described the Nieve being a cold goddess. One that cares less about her underlings, indifferent to the changes of time. The average temperature here during any season remain far into the negatives. Vision around this area remained troubled as blizzards were far too frequent for even the most experienced explorers.
The Ocean of Catherine, The Lady of the Crown
Closer to the equator is a large body of water known as the Ocean of Catherine, the lady of the crown. The waters remain relatively calm regardless of the strong winds that pass through. This ocean connects nearly every one of the great civilizations together, creating routes for trade. Seafarers who wish to find their fortune travel through this ocean regardless of their venture. The true danger of these seas come from the pirates that pillage, stealing from seaside cities and smaller ships and violating those unfortunate enough to come in their path. The ocean of Catherine is the bigger of the two seas that lie on the equator. Underneath the waters lie a giant sea serpent guarding an unknown treasure. From those who've seen the serpent themselves, they call it the beast of the depths. The one that manages to kill it will uncover untold amounts of riches. However, seeing the creature is enough to force those who are weaker willed to throw themselves off the boat. It can even cause the most loyal to mutiny. Catherine is described to be a sovereign goddess, one that is like a queen. Whoever she wishes to bless receive riches beyond comprehension. Those who she curses find themselves a watery tomb.
The Ocean of Venus, The Golden Lady
The lesser of the two oceans sitting at the equator is known as the Ocean of Venus, the golden lady. Unlike the ocean of Catherine, this ocean finds itself to be a lot more ravenous. The waves tend to slam against the shore. Large underwater beasts populate this smaller ocean. The largest remain at the deepest parts of the ocean. Some sailors believe that angry gods reside at the bottom of the ocean, constantly fighting each other. These angry gods only stop during the migration of the golden lion jellyfish, causing the ocean to remain still. These jellyfish are one of the largest marine creatures. Their glow can only be seen at night, giving the ocean a golden glow. Once a year, the golden lion jellyfish come to the surface while its warm. During this time, those who reside by the lake start a festival in awe of the beauty of the ocean. Animals, adventurers, travelers, and other cultures alike come to view the ocean. Even those at war with each other pause for this brief moment to take in the beauty of life. Venus is described to be a lady that is both destructive and creative at the same time, one that represents both of wars and peace. Some sailors joke about how this goddess can be bipolar.
The Ocean of Rue, The Lady of the Unknown
The only ocean located underneath the surface. Also known as the underworld, this ocean is pitch dark. Underneath the waves are chemicals that come from the center of the earth. Geysers line the depth the ocean, pushing out toxic minerals into the waters below. The few that choose to live within the depths of these waters are alien-like in appearance. Islands dot the ocean of Rue, as the islands are built from volcanoes underneath the surface. Many who choose to travel to this reason don't come back. Those that do describe it as an otherworldly place. The cultures that live there have many residents that are blind. Those that are blind find their other senses to be rather extraordinary, Not much is really known about this ocean. Many explorers try to make a name for themselves by coming to this region. Few believe that you can find access to hell by swimming deep enough into the water. Rei is described to be the lady of the night, a goddess to those who cannot see. She is a goddess worshipped by assassins and magicians alike, relying on a relative lack of sense in order to find something much greater.
