Hello Reader,
Thanks for checking out my Request Thread.
As the title suggests, I'm looking to tell the story of a romance between two rivals. Two people competing over the same goal who throughout their endeavors to achieve said goal end up falling for each other. The story would be centered around these adventures, in other words, not a quick victory. Before you read any further, I'd like to be clear that in the end, I'd prefer my character end up on the losing end. I'm hoping to write out the sort of emotional angst and internal conflict that occurs as he watches the person he has developed strong feelings for achieve his life long goals.

You might have noticed that I haven't provided any details of the story beyond the general theme (and a bit of the outcome). That's intentional. I'd like to build this from the ground up, and that'd probably be better with both of us working together. All that being said, I do have some requirements, some won'ts, and some it'd be awesome ifs for the story as we create it.

REQUIREMENTS
- Original worlds - I'd rather create something than play in some other canon. Have some established worlds that you'd like to influence ours? That's fine, I probably do too, we can work something out.
- Medieval Fantasy, Sci-Fi. - I'm a fan of both genres. Note that if we do sci-fi, I'm still going to try to work magic (see below) into it.
- Original characters - Again, playing canons just isn't my cup of tea. I rarely break that rule.
- Grand Scale - The competition between the rivals should have some big consequence in the fate of whatever realm we've created, not merely who is the best archer in the land or something like that. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be an archery competition, just that it's a part of some larger story line.
- Plot heavy - I enjoy smut as much as the next guy, but it can't be the driver of the story.
- Established worlds or characters - restating
- Modern, realistic, slice of life worlds - Personally, I get enough of the real world in the real world. I need something more exciting.
- Porn logic - Our characters should develop a relationship before jumping into bed together, even if they have a past, they are still rivals, not likely to rip the clothes off each other during their first meeting.
- Magic - it's awesome. It even works in sci-fi, I swear.
- World on the brink - Something about conflicts in worlds that are collapsing (Think Warhammer 40k, World of Warcraft, etc.)
- Story spins into sub-plots with minor characters. This one is a low priority, but it can be fun.
