They said he was an idiot. They said it would never work. He would show them just how wrong they were. The black, leather chair creaked as the man leaned against it. He should be doing work, he was swamped, but he mind often wandered. Her face was always in his head, her voice, always on his mind. With a blink, his daydream was over. He stared blankly at the blinking line on his computer. The top of the screen read: Progress Report, 4/22 Ah, the joys of the bi-weekly progress report of sales. He was always swamped. He was never home. Why wouldn't people call him an idiot?

The man ruffled his red hair and his brown eyes searched the piece of paper infront of him. Half of him wanted to call his home, call the love of his life, the other half knew that he would soon head to his homestead. With a glance at the clock, it read 1:21. Fuck. That meant there was almost three hours left until he was off. To think, just a hour ago, he called to his home to talk to his girlfriend. One whom he would follow to the ends of the Earth, follow blindly through a new area, trusting her insight.

The bronze plated nametag read Devon Thomas. It should have read Devon Thomas, Professional Asshole. An outline of his job was to call people, and to hassle them into buying his product. Quite frankly, he didn't even know what he was selling anymore. He glanced to the clock, 1:22. Had it only been a minute? He groaned under his breath and picked his pen up, breathing through his nose in frustration of what time he had just read. . .

She was positively the worst. She knew it too. Cheating was a horrible, horrible thing to do, especially to one who was so badly infatuated with her, but that was the problem. Her boyfriend was great. He was a nice guy. He had a job. He had aspirations. He thought the sun rose and fell with his little Olivia. He truly was in love with her and never saw her flaws. What more could a girl ask for? Well, a lot actually. The brunette loved her boyfriend. She did. He was sweet and cared for her and was so much better than so many other boyfriends she had had in the past. The thing that got her was that he was a bit too clingy to her. She needed a man with a bit more of a backbone and someone who actually wanted to touch her more than he had been. She knew sex was not what a relationship needed to survive, but she had urges. She had them and they were not fulfilled by the man as of yet, so she wandered.

She went off the proper path and well, she had to admit that she definitely liked what she found. She had been complaining to one of her friends. Anna had come over for some coffee so that her friend could tell her her woes, and somehow, one thing wound up leading to another. Her friend had always had an interest in girls, and Olivia soon found out that she had a crush on her, and well, Anna had been there to give her the physical contact she wanted. She had not thought that she could be so pleased while being such a horrible person, but she was. She loved it. She more or less started to date Anna. Going out to dinner and seeing movies, and going back to her place to fulfill their lustful urges. Olivia was happy. Sure, she went back home to Devon and she definitely should not. She should not have even kept him along for this long, but she could not break his heart. He was too sweet and well, maybe the spark would be lit for them once more soon enogh. If that happened, then she had already told Anna that she would probably wind up going back with him.

For now? The green-eyed girl was over at her friend's house, getting the relief she badly sought for. Clothes strewn carelessly about the floor, soft creaks of a bed, and the gentle moans of a deprived woman getting what she so badly yearned after. She definitely found her friend's mouth to be better than she would have thought. There were some things that only a woman could do that a man could not. Olivia writhed in pleasure quite often when her friend was in the lead. Oh, she took the lead sometimes, just not currently. She much preferred to be the submissive one who just turned to putty at the slightest touch. That was her. She groaned beneath the blonde on top of her, her back arching up and against the hand upon her chest, gasping and panting. This had been how the woman had been spending most of her afternoons -- Over Anna's house and just getting what she needed. It was beneficial for Devon, sort of. This way, she never minded to just sit in bed and cuddle with him or not be as sexual as she wanted.

It wasn't as though he didn't want to touch her physically. Really. Should he know she was cheating on him, he would defineatly do something, but his mind didn't work like that. He thought back to last weekend, when his friend Blaine had come into town from Seattle for a business trip. Blaine was a ladies man, he knew what their minds did. Devon really shouldn't have gotten mad at him, but he never liked realizing the truth. He thought back to that night.

"What do you mean?" Blaine said as he took a sip of his drink. Devon shook his head. "I meant exactly what I said." He said as he looked into the swirling goodness that was the Crown Royale in his glass. Blaine stood up and walked toward the man. "So. . .you and Olivia, whom you love deeply, don't fuck." Devon looked around embarrassed, and made eye contact with a blonde girl who quickly looked away. "Look." Devon started, but was quickly interrupted. "Look what? If you want me to do it, I'll fuck her." He said with a laugh. Devon stood up quickly, "What are you trying to say?" He asked as he stared down at his friend, now angry with him. Blaine just laughed and finished off his drink. With a hand on Devon's shoulder, he made him sit back down. "Look man, girls have needs to. If you don't fulfill them, someone else will." He said as he ordered another drink from the bartender. Devon shook his head and just listened to the man. .

With a sigh, he came around again. It was almost February 14th, the Day of Love. What was he going to do? Part of him was afraid that he was too freaky for her. He was attracted to her, that was why he made the first move. Maybe tonight when he got back, he would do something. The man reached into his jacket and pulled out a silver flask, took a long swig from it and bestowed it back into his pocket. The only time he ever touched her, he was drunk, something he tried giving up, though old habits die hard. He didn't even remember it. A glance to the clock, 4:42. Almost time to go home. He picked his stuff up and shoved it into a briefcase, he needed something. As he said goodbye to his co workers, walked to his car and shoved his stuff in the backseat. Sitting in the front seat, he sighed. Taking the flask out again, he finished off what little liquid was left and made his way toward the local liqour store, en-route for his house. ..

After a nice shower and a glance to the clock, Olivia smiled over at her friend. â??I should head home.â? She said, walking to the girl and placing a passionate kiss to her lips before she pulled back, sighing gently. â??See you later.â? She whispered and then left the little apartment of her friend. The brunette made her way down the street, her purse on her shoulder and her green eyes looking around. Devon should be home soon. She would meet up with him, have dinner, go to bed and cuddle and everything would wind up all the same as it had been prior to her leaving to go see Anna. Luckily for Olivia, her job was not all that demanding. She was an on-call type of person. The business called her when they needed an extra hand, and she came as long as it was possible for her. Sure, it got annoying after a while, but Devon did not mind to pay for the things at home all the time. She was searching for a new job anyway. Something that she would actually like. Something to use her college degree on.

Once inside the house, she kicked off her stilettos and moved to the couch. Groaning as she flopped into the cushions, knees to her chest and she silently waited for her boyfriend to return. She truly debated if she should just break it off with him. Tell him thereâ??s another person and go out properly with Anna. She did not want to hurt him though. She knew cheating on him hurt him too, if he were to ever find out, but breaking up with him was just too hard. He would be crushed and she did not want that. She was selfish right now. She did not want his misery on her conscience. Besides, what if he got better? What if he was actually able to touch her without having booze in his system first? Actually, that was a bad thing in general. She did not like that the only time he ever had courage to touch her was when he had alcohol in him. Frankly, it made her question his sexuality sometimes.
