Mx Any ...character-driven Slurm intensifies

A thread to get us started and going. All ideas, much like my character concepts are flexible. Instead of replying here, PM me for plotting! If you would like to discuss this over Discord, my handle is SlurmMckenzie#6465. Please let me know what your username on BMR is in the first post, thanks!


Basic Expectations​

• General respect and common decency.
• I am not my characters and they are not me.

Preferences​

• I have a preference for both story and character-driven stories. Love writing multiple characters! This is not a requirement on you though. ^.^
• I am Switch, leaning to Dominant. I enjoy writing male, female and non-binary characters whose preferences may or may not lean pansexual like me, but that's not to say they are not negotiable.
• Right now I am willing to commit to… multiple posts a week. This is subject to real life and updated both pro and retroactively.
• I prefer freeform over system, but characters and plot is everything.
• My posts are usually 200+ words, and span across a few paragraphs.
• Character interaction. The Why? What? Where? When? and How? All the character interaction plz.
• I have no preferred pairings because they are secondary to the plot for me.
• Plot>Smut. 60/40 ratio serves as a guideline and is negotiable.

Offs​

• OOC Drama.
• Scat. Gore. Necrophilia and underage. Anything unlisted is negotiable.

Favourite Settings​

• Historical Fantasy; here the fantasy aspect is low and plays second fiddle to a more pronounced focus on politics, intrigue, family dynamic, interpersonal relations between individuals, etc. whilst keeping with a historical frame.
• Dark Fantasy; think ‘Dark Tower’, the ‘Witcher’ saga and ‘Wheel of Time’. My preferred plots in the genre` utilize darker villains and antiheroes. The plots themselves can have any manner of elements, kinks and are great for stories where each writer is not easily deterred by the more voracious.
• Dystopian/Post-apocalyptic; think ‘The Watchmen’, ‘Hunger Games’ and the ‘Fallout-verse’. Have played a lot of baddies (Negan, Simon, Ozymandias) and love it.
• Contemporary/Slice of Life; Present-day setting/Modern. Not opposed to fantasy elements.
• History; Pretty much everything. Realism is welcomed and appreciated but not required.

Yuri Curmudgeon Smith

Age: 29 - Pansexual
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 220lbs
Training: Gunslinger. Survivalist.
Weapons: Six-shooters. Repeaters.

Applicable Settings: Wild West (OC), corresponding 19th century, early 20th century, Noir-verse

Original Bio: Part of an Orthodox mission to tame the new world, Yuri suffered the same fate as rest of his peers on arrival: disdain and eventual falling out. What passed for survivalist skills in the Siberian tundra roughly translated to traversing the Wild West and he found himself assisting the various missions to discover more, always intent on being part of an expedition where he would share the same Bolshevist tendencies that drew him out.

However unlike the Siberian tundra, the Wild West was more populated and came with its own dangers. While leading a company of nuns and bishops Yuri found himself to be sole survivor of an ambush and decided to forego both god and peace. Taught the Tolstoyan way of his life during recovery, Yuri now wanders the Wild West in search of a cause and soul more deserving than the last. In a bid to redeem himself and the perils that beset him, there is no line he is not willing to cross.

Original Bio: Tall, talented with the blade and terrible with puns, Jack serves in the mercenary band, namely the 25th Landon Barrington Company and is looking for a way out. Its been a few years since the long war with France ended and the glory that was won by his peers from Calais to Gascogne hangs like a distant dream under the new liege.

While offering his service to other companies and lords is an option, navigating the politics of pre-Renaissance Europe are a wholly different matter. He still takes pride at being promoted to regimental captain but drilling them three times a week while searching for local tourneys the other four have become an exercise in futility and liquor. Jack's ambition however knows no bounds and he's willing to endure everything he can to adventure and leave a name behind like the accessories of yore.

Original Bio: Baseborn, adopted daughter of the Duke of Burgundy, Alice is forced to play the role of a male heir Aaron, before her expulsion from the fiefdom as rest of Europe marches against her father. The welcome she's granted at courts often turn sour, matching the relationship her father exercised with Louis of France, and there's little doubt things would change unless she secures help, or her father manages to beat Louis comprehensively.

As Aaron she's dealt with a dissipating entourage and a General's staff whose loyalties can no longer be counted upon. Alice's goal is to reach Wien one way or another so she can remind the Emperor of his duties. Headstrong, driven and brave there is no line she's not willing to cross to protect her house, but Alice had never stepped outside of Bourgeone in the last 19 years. Exercising royal prerogative at home is different from demanding allegiance of commoners or leiges who bear her no goodwill, short of royal courtesies reserved for members of regalia albeit ones very different when it comes to prince and princesses, here misunderstandings are often mistaken for subterfuge and compassion misunderstood as weakness, Alice must drive on and no matter the cost, she must endure.
