Luna had spent the day in doors since it had been raining non-stop in the region. â??Why canâ??t I go yet, Domaki?â? She mumbled to herself, as she sat out on the porch of the inn they had been staying at since last night. Domaki appeared next to her. â??Because, Luna, you forget sometimes that youâ??re human like everyone else. Youâ??ll catch a cold.â? He said, and then glared at her. â??You asked me that five minutes ago. For the past eight hours thatâ??s all youâ??ve been asking me. So, five minutes from now, when you ask me the same question again and its still raining, my answer will be the same. So I suggest you save youâ??re breath.â? Luna sighed and waited a few seconds before answering. â??When do you think itâ??ll stop raining?â? She asked. He growled and then disappeared. She sighed. â??Iâ??m pretty bored. I wonder win my next fight will be?â?

She looked around the empty streets and then got up and stretched. She was getting kind of hungry, but she really would rather leave now. It looked like the rain wasnâ??t letting up.

Daniel ran by the two on the porch with his spirit, covering his head as best as he could with his arms. He opened the door to the inn, water dripping from the soaked clothes hanging from his frame. Surprised by his sudden entrance, the inn keeper handed him a towel saying, "Jesus, you'll catch a cold like that!"
"Thanks," Daniel replied quietly, starting to dry his hair and clothes.
"Whew, sure am glad rain just passes right through me," His spirit joked, to which Daniel glared at him.

Luna didn't even look back as the shaman ran past her. She needed to make friends so she'd be apart of a team but she was no good at talking to people. "Be on your guard, Luna." Domaki said with a sigh. "Why? Its not like he gave us any looks. He ran right past us." Luna yawned and then went back inside, hoping it was dinner time. She had no problem with buying the food, but she had to wait like everyone else.

Daniel finished drying off, putting the towel down on the counter in front of him. Almost as soon as he had dealt with that problem, though, another one arose, his stomach grumbling. "Er, do you know where I can get something to eat?" He asked the innkeeper.
"Sure, dinner's going to be served in a few seconds in the dining hall over there," He replied, gesturing down the hall as he smiled.
"Alright, thanks. I guess I'll just go wait there," He told the innkeeper before heading off down the hall.

Morgan grumbled to himself and adjusted his coat as he stepped up to the inn. It's not that he didn't like the rain but...this was quite enough. The Spirit of Water, barely noticeable due to the fact that she'd shrunk in size to being barely larger than your average imagined size of pixie, hovered around his shoulder. It also didn't help that she looked about the same as all the water pouring around them.

Wait a tick, Morgan thought to himself, when did I start thinking of her as a 'her'? I was referring to her as an it a few days ago. Then again, dealing with the spirit constantly floating around looking into stuff, and in the form it had chosen, made it hard to not personify the spirit. I hear someone has one of these big elemental spirits once before. Maybe I should see how they handled it...

"Hey, you're supposed to be Spirit of Water," he mumbled to his shoulder, "can't you do something about this?" His spirit said nothing, but merely grinned mischievously. "Oh yeah, that's right. You don't talk." She hadn't once spoken in the short time he'd known her, although that might be due to him being busy with learning how to use his sudden shamanic powers, as well as getting into the tournament. I'll have to look into that some other time.

Having enough with his own internal monologue, Morgan stepped into the inn, nodding as a courtesy to the person and their spirit sitting on the porch. "And another one?" the inn keeper commented, "what are you all doing out in the rain?"

"When I figure out, I'll let you know," Morgan answered dryly, thanking the inn keeper as he grabbed the offered towel. Looking around the room, Morgan noted the other drenched figure and his spirit. Heh, two already. Looks like I hit the motherload. How many others are there here I wonder?

An eardrum piercing scream erupted from the depths of the city. Talim stood his hands dripping with blood before a corpse.

"Good job Talim... Another eliminated..."

Paradox spoke as he appeared along side the man. Talim just nodded, his emerald green eyes following the woman trying to inch her way out of his view.

"And what about her Paradox? Shall I eliminate her too?"

Talim asked as he looked to his spirit, then to the woman.

"She isn't a shaman--but she could become one. There's no use in letting her live. She could side with the people who want to stop Zeke's ressurection. You don't want his ressurection to be stopped, do you?"

Talim shook his head. He didn't want anything Paradox didn't want. Walking up to the trembling woman he grabbed her by her hair. With a swift motion of his hand he drove his fingers right through her. Ripping her heart out he tossed it on the ground. Paradox laughed loudly.

"Good work Talim..."

Again Talim just nodded. The rain washed his hands clean, but he still felt the warm crimson liquid dripping down his fingers. He walked, and walked, and walked until he reached an inn. It seemed to be loitered with shamans.

"Shall I kill them all?"
"No, not yet... Why don't you get a room..."

Talim just nodded heading into the Inn. He was soaked from head to toe. Every feather on his jacket lay limp just like his crimson hair. Paradox shrunk, shifting into the skull and wing pin, yhat rest just above a bloody heart pin. When the Shopkeep offered him a towel he took out a wallet full of money.

"I just want a room...The biggest one you have...."

Paradox didn't like small rooms... He always felt trapped. Talim always remembered to get a large room just for him. Once the man handed him his key he headed to his room. Talim stripped down to his boxers and hung his clothes up in the bathroom to dry. He was always conscious of his health or Paradox would scold him. Running his fingers through his crimson hair he headed back into the bedroom where he plopped down onto the bed.

"These Shaman seem to be drawn to you, Luna." Domaki, who had shrunk to a small blue talking orb said. Luna grinned and then sat down in the restaurant part of the inn. "Shame. I still haven't made a single friend." Luna said quietly as the maids began to come out of the kitchen to see what people ordered. "Besides, its not like they follow me. This is a check point village after all." She yawned and ordered her food and looked out the window longingly.

Talim rolled over in the bed yawning softly. He was hungry. He sat up and ventured into the bathroom. Paradox said nothing as he watched the man slip on his now damp pants. His jacket would have to dry before he was to put it back on.

"Where are you going?"
"I'm hungry..."

Talim replied to his spirit as he headed to the first level of the building. He went into the dining hall and sighed softly. He wondered where to sit.

"How about you sit close to that girl over there..."

Paradox had taken the shape of the skull with wings pin, but this time as an earring dangling from Talim's left ear. Talim didn't know why he wanted him seated so closely to the girl. He didn't see anything special about her at all. The male sat at a table right in front of her. He sat so he that he was facing her. Paradox had materialized, seating himself in the vacant chair in front of Talim. When a maid approached his table, Talim ordered his food.

"What's Zeke like? Why is it so important to you that he is revived?"

Talim suddenly asked.

"Well...This world is disgusting. Populated by nothing but useless filth. Zeke wants to clean it up. Make it so that, only us worthy of this world can finally live in peace."

Talim smiled. Peace sounded nice.

Luna said nothing, but couldn't help but hear what the man and his spirit was saying. She knew about Zeke, as Domaki had told her about him. Honestly, she didn't give a damn about him. She just wanted to fulfill her destiny, and wherever she ended up at the very end her goal would be reached. Domaki kept an eye on Paradox. Just like the others, he didn't trust him. He seemed like a dangerous spirit after all. Luna interrupted his thoughts by yawning and then closing her eyes. Keep your guard up, Luna. Domaki thought, glaring at her.

If Zeke could give him peace, and no one would ever have to go through what he went through, he was more than willing to do whatever Paradox wanted. Soon the maid returned with the food he ordered and he offered her a small smile. Nothing genuine...just something he remembered his mother would always do when someone was servicing her.

He began eating, periodically glancing up at Paradox to see what he was doing. He looked a little anxious about something. Talim wondered what he could be anxious about. Could it be the girl and her spirit? He sighed placing his fork down and sitting back in his chair. He saw Paradox eying the girl and her spirit and knew right away what he wanted.

"I hate it when you do that Paradox..."

Talim spoke as he grabbed his cup and sipped the red wine it contained.

"Just real quick and you can go back to eating. I'll let you rest the night away."

Talim sighed as he stood up from the table. He just nodded drawing his weapon. His katana shimmered in the dim lighting of the dining hall, singing softly as it was removed from it's sheath. Approaching Luna he held his sword out at her.

"That's an interesting spirit you have there girl... How's about a spar?"

Paradox spoke as he materialized beside his shaman.

Morgan yawned as he stepped into the kitchen, intent upon two things after he'd settled himself in, and only those two things: food and sleep. The latter would be easy, considering he'd managed a small, out of the way room at the end of one hall. He liked small rooms, so cozy and convenient lacking in space for things to build up. He still recalled the apartment back in his hometown that he'd plan to return to after this whole deal was taken care of.

The moment he spotted a man holding a katana, his spirit materializing beside him, Morgan knew that there was a good probability he wasn't gonna get either anytime soon. Curse my timing and noble nature.

Morgan hand slid down to his waist, where hung his spear in its collapsed form. Tempest, as it was called, normally extended to just over six feet, but had a nifty mechanism within it that allowed it to slip down to well under half that, just enough so that it could hang comfortably in a strap on his waist. While he didn't pull it off, Morgan still rested his hand on the weapon as he spoke to the other man. "You wouldn't happen to be giving this little lady here a hard time, are you?"

"Now this ere's what I call entertainment", Top Dollar laughed, watching bemused from a chair seated by the window. While he was sure that none of the Shaman would turn to attack him, he kept his hand on his side briefcase, ensuring he would be able to pull the contents out in the event of any concern to his well being. A coupla' kids and a few ghosts. Come on' make it brutal" He laughed from the sidelines as an earsplitting laugh filled the room, coming from behind him.

"Children fighting, shouldn't you be upstairs in your beds?", The Crow said, laughing and appearing from Top Dollar's shoulder. He took a step forward, taking Top Dollar's flank, fully prepared to defend his master. He licked his lips in anticipation, ready for the fight to start. A sudden movement to Top Dollar's left caught his attention. He flexed for a second before letting his guard down as Top Dollar's arms dealer handed Top Dollar a smoke.

Adrian took a drag on his cigarette for a second before blowing out a tiny wisp of smoke. He extended his mind, ready to call for Alucard, who was off somewhere at the first sign of the situation turning ugly. His new client seemed to be enjoying the scene, and Adrian felt himself muster up a slight chuckle at his client's bizarre spirit's line. He shook his head before taking another drag on his smoke. It was obvious that the other people in this room were Shaman, just like him and his client, but he was rather unaware of their involvement in a single place. He shook his head for a second and wondered if his client's presence had anything to do with so many interesting people. It would make sense, as in the last two days they were traveling together, they had indeed encountered a wide variety of strange people.

"D-Damn, where'd all these Shaman come from?" Daniel mumbled to himself as the room seemed to fill with other people from out of nowhere. Just as quickly as the room seemed to have filled, the vacant seats also disappeared. "Hey, Kid, where should we sit?" Daniel quietly asked his spirit.
"How about over there? Next to that cute girl?" Kid, suggested, chuckling quietly to himself.
"W-what? I meant an empty table, Kid!" Daniel responded, glaring at his spirit.
"Aw c'mon, Danny, don't be such a punk. Besides, don't you need to start finding team mates, anyways?"
Danny shrugged, defeated. "Fine," He mumbled, making his way over to the table where Luna sat. "Erm, excuse me, is this seat taken?" He asked, his quiet voice barely audible above the chatter as he gestured to the chair in between her table and Talim's.

Domaki looked at Luna, clearly anxious at her reaction. He materialized into his human form and glared at Paradox and Talim. "Hmm..one wants to spar, one wants to be some hero of justice and another wants to sit with me? I guess its not all that hard to make friends, don't you think so Domaki?" Her spirit shook his head. "You're in danger Luna, get up and draw your weapon!" Domaki shouted. Luna sighed. "Fine. Lets take it outside, shall we?" She opened her eyes and looked at her attacker and her supposed defender. "I'm not going to get in trouble because some raggamuffin decided to challenge me inside a building." She then got up and walked passed both of them without so much as watching her back.

"Wait! What the hell?!" Daniel asked, looking around.
"She's talking about those two," Kid told him, pointing to Talim and Morgan, much to Daniel's relief.
"Phew, I guess a table opened up then," Danny sighed with relief while taking a seat at the now vacant table.
"What're you doing, Danny? C'mon let's go outside and watch the fight! Who knows, you might learn a thing or two!" Kid said, already starting to follow the fighters.
"W-what? But it's raining outside! And I might get hurt! A-and!" Daniel stopped making excuses when he saw that Kid wasn't even listening, intent on going outside and watching the fight. "F-fine," He mumbled to himself, following Kid and the fighters outside to watch.

Paradox just laughed. Morgan seemed to be very entertaining to him. Talim shook his head looking over to Paradox, who seemed to be dying from laughter. Was the male's comment that funny to him?

"Look boy I have no time for your silly games. I suggest you take a seat before I show you what happens to insolent fools who dare stand in my way..."

When Domaki shouted, Talim snapped out of his trance looking to Luna. She seemed to be a very laid back person...perhaps lazy even. Why would Paradox find her so interesting? Maybe it wasn't her...Maybe he was fond of her spirit in some way.

"Outside? Oh no we can fight here girl..."

Talim's spirit answered. With a quickness his fist caught fire. Just as he was about to set the place on fire, Talim spoke.

"As I recall Paradox... Your exact words to me before we began to fight were, 'Just real quick and you can go back to eating. I'll let you rest the night away.' Now where am I supposed to sleep if you burn the place down?"

Talim asked with a furrow of his brow.

"Alright....Fine we'll fight outside...."

Following the girl outside, Talim yawned softly. Looking down at himself he sighed. 'No shoes and no shirt.... I'm sure to catch a cold now.' he thought with a sigh. Once outside, Paradox took physical form standing beside his shaman.

"Attack me child..."

Paradox demanded. Lightning struck as he disappeared, his black spirit whisping into Talim's blade. Talim's sword began to glow a bright golden color, Paradox's name materializing down the side.

"You feel it too, don't you, Odin?"

"Yes. Someone's life has recently been taken. I could feel the energy drop."

"Do we do something about it?"

"I have a feeling who the person is. It's not particularly good, but we can watch from a distance for the moment."

"Right." Alexander stood at that, feeling the rain getting even heavier as he took a quick look around. He head been meditating, and at the moment, Odin was in the form of a straw hat to help cover his head. Alexander barely felt the elements anymore, though, so weathered from the mysteries.

He slowly walked down the road, eventually coming to what looked like a inn, some people coming out. He decided to lean against the nearby wall, two or three houses down, to watch them.

Hmm...fire huh? Isn't that suppose to be my weakness or something? Luna thought as she grasped Domaki's spirit form and forced him into her physical body. Domaki smiled and then looked Talim up and down. "You seem to be a formidable opponent. You mentioned Zeke, right? I assume you are one of those palidan people?" Domaki didn't care, but he had to spend some time formulating a strategy. Luna never put her heart into fighting and relied on his skills most of the time. He knew if she ever did care though...she could easily trample on those who opposed her.

Alexander was lax, watching over what looked like would be either a fast or entertaining fight. He smirked, but Odin picked up the front of the hat. Alexander's eyes darted up to it. "What is it?"

"Paladin. I see..." Odin mused, settling back down.

"Paladins? Never heard of them." Alex pulled a piece of straw from nowhere and put it into the crook of his mouth to think some.

"They play to resurrect Zeke."

"Ah, that old bag of tricks. Should we stop them, take care of them?"

Odin mused for a moment. "Nah. Remember, fire is the weak element for us. No need to trifle too much with that shaman. Though... That girl might need help. There has been already enough exflux of worldly energy today. Jump in and save her if she needs it. Otherwise, just watch the abilities."

Morgan sighed as he seated himself, even as his spirit materialized over his shoulder with an antogonizing glare. "What?" he retorted, "it's obvious she can handle herself. If they don't want my involvement, fine." Propping his feet up, he settled back into the chair as he waited for whoever would survive the fight to come back in. Hopefully, it'll be the both of them...or maybe just the chick. "So," he said aloud, "Anybody know what that guys problem was? He seemed kinda...weird. And his spirit was a prick."

((OOC: BAH! People, you're too fast. I'm gonna have a helluva time keeping up. XD))

  • [XDD Srry, didn't want to dwell too much on the inn scene....or Para would have burned it down just for fun...]

Paradox watched from Talim's sword as Luna thrust her spirit into her body. He had simply assumed she would fight with him inside her weapon. What a drag. But, he always did have fun possessing his shaman's body. Hmm... The glow of Talim's blade and its special look faded as Paradox took spirit form. He took possession of Talim's body without so much as a fight from the other. Talim was always in sync with his spirit...well always accepting of his wanting to take over his body whenever he would want to, so there was never a wait. Again the shaman's blade took on that golden glow, his spirit's name materializing down the side.

Talim, or rather Paradox was obvlivious to the words of his prey. He was too busy flexing his hand muscles, feeling the world for what it was. Ah, how nice it felt to feel again. Shamans were such beautiful creatures.. Or rather the ones he 'befriended', the others could all burn in hell.

"Hmm? What did you say? Paladin?"

he sighed running his fingers through his hair.

"Why are we talking. I said spar, not conversation."

His blade sang as he twirled it around, the golden light shimmering brightly creating a cute little light show for the 'kiddies'. Grasping the hilt of his sword with both his hands, he glared at Luna. There was no trace of Talim. His being had seemed to go completely dormant behind his spirit, leaving everyone around him at Paradox's mercy--if he had any.

    "Now attack me child...."

A swirl of electricty wrapped itself around his blade, revealing he knew how to control more than just the element of fire.[/list:u]

Hmm...lightning. Domaki...is that a second weakness? Luna thought. Domaki smiled, ignoring Luna. "I'm not sure why you keep calling me a child.." He began to walk towards him and then broke out into a run. He would not use all of his speed at the start. He never liked making the first move because thats all it took for an enemy to assess you. He drew Luna's sword and brought it up so he could start with a downward slash. He was glad it was raining, but that also made him vulnerable as well.

"... This is boring." Alexander said, kicking himself back up from leaning against the building, taking a few steps towards the inn.

"...Yes, quite." Odin agreed, the brim of the hat angling down so the rain would simply roll off. "What now?"

"We can either fight and take care of him, or we can go in and eat."

"I vote eat."

Calling others child was what Paradox did. Being as old as he was--four-thousand and something, everyone was classified in that field if they weren't at least somewhat around the age he was. As Domaki broke out into a sprint, he broke out into a maniacle laugh. Finally the fight was starting. Now he would get to see the powers of what he expected to be, the legendary leader of light. Their blades clashed, his blade glowing bright, electricity spreading from his blade to the other's. He continued to laugh. Sighing softly he grinned as he blocked Domaki's attack. "Tell me something boy... How does it feel to be staring death in the face?" he taunted with a sinister grin. With force, he pushed the other back bringing space between their bodies again. Sprinting, he went for Domaki. Lightning lit up the sky, thunder booming loud around them, seeming to shake the earth. Paradox swung his blade wildly but swiftly, the force cutting through the heavy rain sparking the droplets clashing with his katana.

"Ah, finally, they're starting." Odin mused, making Alex stop and turn around.

"Ah, you were right, he is a paladin." Alexander said, leaning against the wall as he watched. But soon it was quite evident that the battle was one-sided, and the person in front of him was likely to die. "All right." He mused to himself, unsheathing the steel blades and walking forward.

"Hey! Pick on someone your own size." Odin said in a low, growling voice, taking a physical form now besides the hat, drawing his own weapons.
