Todd- Seated, Jayme- standing

-As of royal blood, Todd has some command of the house but not much.
- Is 67. He is younger then his sister by three years. Their mother has bred their father consort once but due to her bloodline of ruling, she could hold on to any donated 'gifts' during a pregnancy through magic. She birthed her daughter first then as a 'clean slate' with other suiters, birthed him.

-Is close to his sister as he never really gets to go out, while she get paraded around, they both preferred each other.
-Has secretly been using his allowances to buy a house in the far northern parts of the land to get away from his mothers iron fist. Mallondri is a two story, 6 bedroom mansion he bought. His sister's better understanding of magic has allowed her to create a spacial warp of a path between their two personal homes so they could visit one another; privately and fast.
-Has a limited technique that all the Eventide family have- Hypnotic mesmoring. Can mentally command a commoner/servant/lesser vampire to get them to do a task (or not do one)... but his wear off; his mother and sisters have more power and never have worn off whom they charm.
-Has grown up with blood bags or preserved like wine blood for parties with human... or sometimes farm grown, mindless living humans that have little to no flavor in their blood. (Can tell which region they were grown from just by blandness, so I guess it has some distinct flavor, just not good. Has killed one and felt bad about it.)

((your servant girl would be a fresh taste if it came to a feeding of such... think.... first high...))
-----

Jayme was given to the Queen as a body guard as a gift, and when she had her daughter and heir; the queen passed him on to the child. He's young for his kind, and can understand the unwanted attention or requirements of the young vampriess. He has proved himself loyal only to the young girl, though has done errands for the strict queen in the past if called on.

Raeliana Eventide was the eldest daughter to the King and Queen, although while she enjoyed being around her father.... being around her mother on the other hand was a completely different story. Especially considering she was a bit different from the average princess. She liked to explore, and go on adventures, and she was far from a damsel in distress. Much to her mother's dismay, many think that the young princess' magic had grown beyond that of the Queen's, but she keeps that fact hidden. Why make the woman even more mad at her at times? She is very close with her brother and almost feels sorry for him that he has never really seen much of the outside world, not with the iron grip of their mother. Probably why she does everything that she can do to help him, which worked out so much better when their mother wasn't around.

The young vampire princess walked through the hallways of the palace although she knew exactly where she was going, heading to see her brother, and get changed before their mother spotted her. She probably wouldn't be to happy with the female at that point in time, dressed in the clothes of a commoner since she had decided to venture into the forest to collect herbs. Yet again but most people didn't know wouldn't hurt them.... how Raeliana was a bit of an alchemist, and had her own little alchemy area hidden away somewhere within the palace. "Todd!" she cooed as she slipped into the room he was sitting in, wiping some dirt off of her face and picking a few leaves out of her own black hair. She knew that her own guardian, Jayme, was probably around somewhere. Sometimes he seemed to leave with her out into the forest, although there were other times where he didn't. Perhaps he had the internal feeling she just wanted to be left alone?

----

As this happened, a young woman stood in the kitchens helping the cooks get food together. Sure they served vampires, but it wasn't as though their lords didn't have a taste for regular food. The family wasn't the typical blood-drinking vampires, not all the time anyways. It was pretty rare that she had ever seen any of them go into a blood rage, perhaps a good thing. "Serana, can you take this tray up to the prince?" one of the elderly servants questioned and was handing the tray over to the young woman. Serana was a rather pretty thing with caramel brown hair that fell a bit below her shoulders and chocolate brown eyes, although nowhere close to as beautiful as the vampires. Some of the vampires.... if one didn't know better, they could say that they were human. "Here take these with as well actually. If my gut is correct, then the princess is there as well, and more than likely her guard." the elder maid spoke after a moment before she was adding a few more things to the tray, and was leaving the woman to carry it off upstairs.

There was a whisper of his name and Todd looked up from the old myth book the humans had written. Mythology. Good read, wrong about a lot of things, but that was humans for you. "Sister!" Book forgotten as he stood from the chair. "Your hair! Oh you better hurry and shower that out. Mother said we had dinner guests tonight." Todd was about three inches taller then his older sister, picking out twigs and burrs. "How the heck did you get this messy???" Still plucking the nasty stuff out, he directed her to the connecting door between their rooms- child hood games between them lasted for hours. "Once you get out of the shower I'll braid it." Hey, he was a good little brother.

The guard that was Jayme tipped his head at the interaction between the siblings. It always confused him that the male was being hidden away and the woman was outdoorsy. Hey, that was this family though. Though he had a human body, he was more like a ghost if not looked at head on; every twist of the body seemed to be made of smoke and billowed away at simple movements.

"I was out in the woods. A poor rabbit had gotten stuck in a trap. I had to help it, I couldn't leave it to suffer." Raeliana spoke after a moment in tkme, chuckling a bit at her brother as he took to helping her pluck stuff out of her hair. It wasn't long before she was being steered off to the door that connected their rooms so she could go and shower. "And I knew there was a reason I was dreading coming back." She sighed. But in the eyes of her mother she was a proper young lady, at least now anyways. She had yet to see her adventurous side, yet anyways. With that she was giving a wave then spoke "Alright you persuaded me. I shall be back."

Steping as if gliding, the male that was her guard stood at the bathroom door. He knew better then to enter that, only if called. He was a proper gentleman before this.... state of living allowed him to not be whole. He still held that head though and was loyal to one. Slow blinking as he turned to face the prince, the vampire shrugging off his now slightly dirty shirt.

Within the next twenty minutes Raeliana was clean again, and it was as if she had never gone out exploring. She wrapped her towel around her body before towel drying her hair, at least as much as she could. "Mind as well send in the maid that I'm sure is hovering outside my bedroom waiting to help me dress." The princess spoke as she was walking out of the bathroom. Hey at that point in time she was still covered and Jayme would more than likely leave when the maid came in. Either to hang out outside the room or go back to hanging with her brother. "Wait... wasn't today the day that suitors were suppose to come...." Raeliana gasped after a moment in time. God she hoped she was wrong.

Todd froze as he reached for her hair. "SHIT! It is! Damn, no wonder we were told dinner guests." a bit of a tug as he took it again and yanked open her drawer for a brush. "If thats the case, Im putting it up in a head loop." He told her as Jayme still stood by the door, but at the princess's suggestion, he went to the door. A twist of the knob and the demon swung it wide.
Far before she knocked.
"Miss, Your tray." he offered a hand for the desk. "And when finished, help the madam dress."

Raeliana gave a slight groan and a pout formed on her lips. Oh she so wasn't looking forward to that whatsoever. A small sigh escaped her lips before she spoke "If I ever get married, my husband will be quick to hate me, or divorce me." She definitely was the quiet and gentle person people saw when her mother was around. "And you should probably fer ready yourself, the maid can do my hair." She spoke after a moment in time.

Serana was nowhere near surprised when the door was opening before she could even knock. Jayme had a way of knowing it seemed. She was drifting over to set the tray down before she spoke "My lord, I can assist the Lady in getting ready so you can get ready yourself. Was suppose to give a small warning from the cook, the Lady Queen is on a war path it seems." Oh man that was going to make the night even more shitty.

There was clearly a long groan from the prince and he handed the girl the brush. He had promised her a braid by his hand..... but he assumed that a girl might do it a bit better then himself, though his were not horrible.
Him getting dressed was him digging in his drawers. He didnt like hand maidans trying to do what he had capable hands for. "Hey, 'Liana Did I leave my circlet in your room, or the bathroom???" he called between the open doors. It wasnt on his dresser or box. It was a small thing of silver.... easily mistaken for her- though hers was wider and gold to pop in her hair.

The demon slid his way around the princes room and picked up the twigs that his mistress had deposited on the floor in here

Raeliana allowed Serana to brush through her hair and get ut put up. Seemed like even the maid had decided on a braid as well. Although a rather complex braid to make her seem more regal. "Yes you did, it is sitting on my dresser." She called out when she heard her brother's question which had Serana foing over to grab it while Raeliana figured out which dress she wanted.

"That is great, afraid it got lost again." he took it gently, put it in his teeth and roughed up his hair before pushing it in place with wet fingers. He only needed to look the part, he really couldn't fight his mother, he had no magic. But for him, he would only be doing the same thing here at the new place... he was not a ruler, just stock.

"Usually when you misplace it, it was left on my dresser." Raeliana spoke with a soft laugh before she was laying a dress on the bed. That was the dress she wanted to wear. Not like her mother had said she had to wear something different, thankfully. She probably would have been a bit mad. Serana was moving with her behind the changing screen and helping her get into the dress. One reason she had picked this one, easier to move in.

Jayme was a creature of few words Todd noticed, the ghost thing merely blinking as he stayed out of the woman room.... though he seemed twitchy, like it was too far away to feel her safe. "Hey Jayme, can you tie a tie or do you not remember?" He asked and the whispy moment of the things head turned his stomach. "I can, not a skill you forget once you learn it." he spoke and took the red fabric around the princes neck, gingerly looping it until it was settled on his chest.
"Thank you Jayme."
"Yes, sir."

Soon enough Raeliana was dressed although she definitely wasn't amused by it at all. Yet again she got to pick out her dress this time, so she could do one of her favorite colors which was black or red. And she could stick with her corset style. Hey she had to be rebellious now and again, and not like her mother would disapprove of her showing a little skin at times. Soon enough Serana was giving a curtsy before she was heading out of the room as the princess was knocking on the door that connected them and asked if it was safe to open. Good thing heels didn't phase her at all. Hell she walked better in heels than she did anything else. Heck the one time she had gone out hiking with Todd, just to get away and sneak him out to see the world, she had just kept her heels on. Once it was cleared she was pushing open the door and walking into the room. "You know... I'm not going to lie when I say I get a bad omen feeling about this night. Not sure where it comes from. The fact that mother is on a seemingly random war path, for who knows what, or this meeting in general." She knew personally one of the suitors for herself was one that came there more often than not, and just wouldn't get the hint. There were a few times that somebody had to remind her that it wasn't quite appropriate for a princess to punch a person in the face. "I hope the nuisance decides to not come tonight." Raeliana mumbled after a moment in time before she was going over and fixing her brother's circlet a bit. Hers she hadn't even put on at that point in time, it was hanging around her arm currently.

"I only feel sick from needing to go down in general... and the way you move, Jayme..... how do you do that??" he asked as his sister adjust his circlet. That might have been a bit rude as the ghostly man only tipped his head and the after image followed slowly. "Sorry, bud... its..."

"It is fine. Before you have her go downstairs, Princess, would you like the young miss to straighten these rooms... just in case your mother decides to visit..." he turned his attention to the leaving servant.

Raeliana gave a faint smile before she spoke, "Maybe it is just my imagination." With that she was stepping away before she was looking over at the servant who was commenting that she would be able to straighten up the rooms before she did anything else. Not as though she had anything better to do at that point in time. She was just studying the two men for a moment in time before she was turning to walk over to the door. "Todd, we should probably get going before mother comes looking for us." That said she was leaving the room, and stepping out into the hallway, a number of the servants that were out there just bowing. Ugh how one had to hate being royalty at times.

"I don't mean to overstep but I have to wonder, Lord Todd, if you were aware of the argument that transpired earlier between the Princess and the Queen. We all know that the Princess hates the unfair treatment you obtain, constantly being stuck here. I guess she actually got into it with the queen earlier today, and then shortly after that Lady Raeliana was disappearing, probably what ultimately had her deciding to go and explore the woods." Serana spoke after a moment in time. Yeah she had heard that argument, a lot of the staff had. And they didn't quite disagree on it. If one asked them, there were a number of them who weren't overly fond of the queen. At times anyways, especially when it came to the treatment of her children. Half the time to Serana it seemed like she ignored Todd, and was attempting to make Raeliana grow up far faster than she really needed to.

With his princess leaving, Jayme gave a head bow to the Prince and followed his charge with easy grace. This just left the servant girl and the young man.
As the girl spoke, she only spoke the truth; telling him of events that the whole mansion heard- him included. He hated his mothers rule, but she had kept order for the 400 year rule and was still young. "Yes, I heard, I highly suspect the whole house did... voices amplified by anger and magic have a way of getting their points across. I have grown up here and mother may treat me like a glass china cup, seen but not touched; but I will say that I am not a caged bird. I do have time outside and I do see and wander. What I do know is this. She wants us and I include my sister to be pure for our counterparts. If not then what honor can be held if there was a body already in your soon to be mate. For safety. I tell my self this; not that I am second or unwanted. To your task, miss. Then come help with dinner."
He didn't need to mesmor the girl, she had already known her task and was only speaking.

Serana was just giving a faint chuckle before she spoke, "You are sometimes a caged bird. You both are." With that she was actually heading off to work on her cleaning and organizing at that point in time. Was she going to go and help with dinner, nope she wasn't. Only because it was all done, everything was set up just the guests needed to arrive. Well a few of them had arrived already, one of them being the one that Raeliana wasn't really wanting to deal with at that point in time. And it seemed like he had already managed to track down the young princess, much to her dismay. But despite that she still put on a smile, acting like absolutely nothing was wrong. How he annoyed her already, with his talk of how he got to go to war with his father, saw a battlefield. This had her giving a faint shudder as if violence wasn't something that she was use to.

"Rowan, do step away from my sister." Came a brisk tone from the prince as he arrived in the dining hall, alone and un escorted.
Interesting choice his mother had planned for dinner. Farm stock but nicely dressed in the corners; head bowed and eyes glazed. So she 'splurged' for the announcement.
His steps drew closer to his un comfortable's sister side and a offering of a hand to take her away from the creep of a vampire. Not sure why his mother didnt ban him after the first time Raeliana punched him to the ground and Jayme stood on his throat. Just because he was a land owner didn't mean he could treat a princess as such. Then again, Liana wasn't a normal 'giggle and shy away' girl.
Acting as a shield to his sister until Jayme returned with one goblet of actual wine... for his charge; a second one seen in hand but promptly dumped on shoes. Todd gave a inner laugh to the body guards action- you show him, J.

"I swear she invites him just to irk us." Raeliana mumbled to Todd as he came up and rescued her from the creep. Nope she was behaving herself for the time being. Mother hadn't been very happy with her the first time she had punched him, although Jayme's actions had been great that day as well. Such a loyal bodyguard. "Ugh I hate having to play more that.... timid and shy girl." she mumbled. Oh the things she did to please mother, just like Todd himself had a completely different persona when their mother was around. Yet again everybody seemed to have a different attitude with her around, even their own father. Raeliana was snickering a bit when the wine got dumped on Rowan's shoes, which only had the male seeming to start through a hissy fit about it, debating that the male get him new shoes.
This had Raeliana looking at Rowan for a moment as she was the other goblet of wine before she cooed, "I must say Rowan, you did kind of have it coming. Who comes to a dinner party and talks about something like war, especially to one with innocent ears, who has never seen battle." There was a fake look of dismay on her features although there was almost a deadly look on her features when Rowan actually had the audacity to state that she wasn't as innocent as she acted. "No you are correct, I am nowhere close to innocent. Which is why I will give you this final warning, anger me and my brother or my guardian will be the least of your worries." she spoke before she was putting on a smile before she was turning away, already figuring that the other two would follow after her.

"Bravo sister." a 'golf clap' from the prince and he held head high. He might be second place to his sisters claim to throne but they were a sharp pair of siblings.

A slow tap of discontent on her wine glass and the silver and black haired matriarch watch the room with attentive eyes. Evelyn Eventide was not a vampire one should mess with. Having been born second from her mother, she gladly took the chance to slaughter her older sister to get her way. Unlike her children who had only known a state of peace here at the mansion. The man to her left and behind was not their father, he was her current lover. Their father was here, some where in a guard suit but she had lost interest in him after her daughter was born, even more so when second child was a male...
Tapping again with groomed nails, she didn't even smile upon the children approached her seat. "All this time talking and you didn't come greet me, Raeliana?" She ignored her son for the moment....

And it began already. How she wished to be free of this dreadful place most of the time, and this woman. "Forgive me Mother." Raeliana spoke to the woman as she was giving her a low curtsy. So not how she wanted to start the day at that point in time. And honestly she had to wonder if their mother ever smiled, she had yet to really see it. Unless it was towards her current lover. It also made Raeliana wonder how many of the vampires within the room alone their mother had slept with. There were some pretty nasty rumors floating around when it came to that. But it wasn't her place to say anything. "And I would have come to greet you sooner had young Lord Rowan not caught me for conversation. Am I meant to ignore a guest? Last time that occurred I got scolded for that as well." Raeliana spoke as she was straightening up and the woman's lover was agreeing with her on that aspect. That hadn't been a fun night either.

"I expect greetings first, then you go about conversations. You were told this from the start." she held no malice, only truth in those words as nails continued to tap the glass.
Her morning's shouting match with her daughter not the cause of her ire. There was a guest here she had clearly NOT invited but he still wormed his way in; and she wasn't talking about Rowan. She also could not send him away for his partner had been invited and what little peace between the families would have been ripped.
Maybe just send some one to get him too annoyed to be here any more. "Raeliana." Her tone sharp, and to the point. "This mornings fight will be forgotten if you get Lord Teverrien OUT of this occasion. As I can not Throw him out as I did invite his wife, I do not want him. Irratate him enough to leave, daughter." she held command in those words as her attention turned to her second.
"As for you, Todd..." The male she looked at was looking away. "Your appointed match is in the seating room. Go greet her." her drink free hand shooed the young lad away with quick steps.

Raeliana was raising an eyebrow at the mention of getting to more or less annoy somebody enough that they wanted to leave. But she had to find a way to do that without making a complete fool of herself. But how she didn't like Lord Teverrien, he was creepy as fuck. "And how do you suggest I do that, Mother?" she questioned after her brother had already retreated to go and greet his appointed match. As she stood speaking to her mother her eyes were seeking out that of the Lord her mother was wanting to have kicked out. Honestly she didn't know much about it, other than he was a bit creepy, and seemed to hit on every female. How his wife put up with it was beyond him. Yet again, maybe that was all the ammunition that she needed, especially since she was pretty sure that his partner didn't know about his wandering eyes, and hands. "Mother, as you are closer with his wife than I, do you know if she is aware of his wandering hands and eyes?" Raeliana questioned, a hint of thought in her eyes.

"Daughter, I must tell you that I honestly do not know if she does know about him." No, she has never accepted the mans courting gifts; not worth the 'gift' holding in her. "You do what ever you feel needed." her voice stern but she seemed a tiny bit better knowing that the man would soon be gone. "Get him gone and your match is in the same room, I do want you to at least greet the man before you shove off the idea."
