Theo had always been an asshole. At school he made no attempts to study, yet always managed to get good grades. With no effort at all he seemed capable of mastering any sport he tried his hand at, yet hadn't joined any teams. He was in many ways simply all round perfect, the problem was that he fully realised that and took full advantage of it. Things that were little to nothing to him earned him praise and adoration and that had allowed him to get away with almost anything for as long as he could remember. And when people didn't adore him, didn't drop down and worship at his feet, he treated them terribly. Unfortunately that had often included his older sister. Of course it was natural for siblings to fight and squabble, but Theo always took it too far. He always had to show up his sister, always had to demonstrate that despite being younger, he was better than her, that he didn't just think he was better, that he knew he was better. The worst part was that he always did in a way that left no evidence behind, that any attempts by his sister to tell anybody what he'd done were unprovable.
That had all changed recently though. On his way to school Theo had been taking his usual route, crossing the street in his usual place, the traffic lights green for him to cross. It had been a beautiful morning and Theo had been listening to some music whilst he walked. Unfortunately the music meant he hadn't heard the screeching tyres of the speeding car, not until it was too late. In barely an instant he had turned his head, just in time to see the car mere inches from him, and then.....nothing. There hadn't even been time to feel pain before he blacked out, the car sending him sprawling up into the air like a ragdoll before it had sped away, the driver clearly too afraid to risk stopping. Theo was rushed to hospital, his wounds treated, most of them not as bad as they looked. Physically he was set to make a full recovery, the problem was more with his head. Despite his injuries being fairly easy to treat the shock of the injuries had sent him into a coma, and none of the doctors could predict when he might wake up.
That had been two months ago. But now, after days that had merged together due to nothing changing, something was finally happening. One of Theo's fingers twitched, then another...and another. His eyes began to move, his eyelids beginning to flitter. Theo was finally starting to wake up. "Nnngh....uhhh.....?" His voice was hoarse from lack of use, his eyes opening slowly as he tried to adjust to the light that they hadn't been exposed to in all this time. "What...? Where....am I....? What....happened...?"
