In a world not terribly different than our own, their lived two types of sentient, self aware beings. Humans, exactly like ourselves, and a curious breed of various different species of animals who through millions of years of evolution developed human like abilities of thought and reason, the ability of speech, the ability to stand on two legs, etc. For millions of years, humans and anthros kept to their own respective landmasses, developing their own civilizations, languages, fighting wars among themselves, all blissfully unaware that across the vast ocean, civilizations were popping up on entirely new continents. In fact, it wasn't until relatively recently, over the past couple thousand years, that the ice age that had dominated the northern section of both continents began to recede, revealing that the two continents were in fact connected by a land bridge that had been covered in the ice. Naturally, it didn't take long for both sides to begin to wander across the bridge, where the two civilizations first made any sort of contact with the other one. Both were a bit startled at first, seeing creatures that not only had alien customs but who looked alien themselves. Naturally, both sides were at first frightened by their discoveries, so contact was very limited. In fact, both sides probably would have went on living more or less peacefully on their own respective continents. However, news soon spread to both sides that the land bridge had a deposit of highly valuable precious minerals due to the Ice Age, and both sides wanted those minerals. Humans, being slightly more advanced, wanted those minerals to advance their rudimentary industrial activities to harness new discoveries such as gun powder and other projectile weapons that weren't bows and arrows. And the anthros, who were ruled by a handful of wealthy, elite "governors" wanted to establish gold and silver mines to create even more wealth for their upper class.
Of course, it didn't take long for war to break out between the two sides, and at first fighting was done largely via hand to hand combat, where the anthros, imbued with stronger bodies and tougher hides courtesy of their animal ancestors, soon outperformed the humans who needed to wear pieces of steel on their bodies to afford themselves the same protection. Not only did the anthros take the bridge, but began pouring into the northern regions of the human continent, taking that territory as their own, enslaving the humans and using them as cheap labor to mine whatever resources could be salvaged from the land. It didn't take long for the humans to panic, warring factions soon uniting and putting their heads together to fight off an enemy they now had in common. It was the human's good fortune that one of those factions had developed the ability to use that gunpowder and harness it's destructive power in the form of muskets, canon, etc. With these technological advances, it didn't take long for the human's to halt the advance of the anthro warriors, who at that point mainly relied on maces, swords, and bows and arrows. In the ensuing decades, the humans used their technological might to push back the anthros, regaining their lost land and soon the bridge, ultimately pushing into the continent of the anthros. It didn't take long for both sides to be sick of the death and destruction to come together on the land bridge, create a demilitarized zone, and draft peace treaties. Humans would have exclusive rights to mining metals such as copper and steel to continue their technological advancements, provided they share those advancements with the anthros who in turn agreed not to weaponize those advances against the humans. Anthros, in turn, would have exclusive rights to the wealth of the gold and silver mines, provided they gave the humans a share of the wealth.
A hundred years, and the mutually beneficial agreement, and the peace it upholds, still holds true. And on that land bridge, the elected diplomats of both races reconvene on the land bridge, to exchange gifts, wealth, and knowledge. Humanity, having recently discovered the assembly line process of manufacturing, the advances of welding, bring blue prints. Anthros, bring their usual allotment of gold, and something unusual that the human had never seen before. A timid looking wide hipped anthro that the anthro diplomat referred to as "Sheevin" which roughly translated to "boy to be loved" in the language of the humans. Seeing the look of confusion on the human diplomat's face, the anthro diplomat barked a few orders in the rough, guttural language of the anthros, where the "Sheevin" lifted up his skirts, revealing a large, soft, plump bottom, spreading his cheeks to reveal a small pair of testicles and an immaculately pink, inviting hole. As the human diplomat looked toward the anthro one, he could see the look of pride on the anthro diplomat's face, reflecting the much more sexually rooted customs that they hold to. While the "Sheevin" let his skirt down, the anthro diplomat went on to explain that these feminine boys were highly prized concubines, most often found in the mansions of wealthy elites and royal palaces. All were trained early on to be masters in the art of what the diplomat coyly referred to as "pleasing their male superiors". It was apparently a gift to the diplomat of humans, in commemoration of one hundred years of peace, and that gifts like these will ensure another hundred years. Of course, the human diplomat gave his thanks, and after other items were exchanged both went their separate ways, the human diplomat now with a glorified anthro prostitute at his side.
