It's late, when Aimi Shin swings into the motel, tired and exhausted as she drags her car into the parking lot. She's been doing a tour of America ever since she moved here, eight years ago. The vestiges of her accent have long since faded, and she's now finally started doing the southern states, the less visited ones. She hadn't anticipated the amount of driving, and wondered if she should have taken a rest stop a few miles back. Still, driving alone was getting kind of boring, and the girl struggled to grab her backpack outside of her car, leaving the larger suitcase in the trunk and grabbing the keys as she moved towards the door.
A bell jangled, as she entered, not seeing anyone immediately. The girl shrugged, tossing her shiny black hair over her shoulder, and studying the front desk, approaching carefully as she waits for the owner, looking at the room rates. She's only got enough to pay for the night, and probably in one of the cheaper rooms, with a meal. Not terrible, she thinks, as she looks around the place, her phone out, taking a cute picture with her fingers curved into a V.
She forgets, predictably, to send the picture as she hears the sounds of someone approaching. As a result, Aimi shoves her phone into her bag, and turns, smiling to the lady at the front desk now as she asks, politely, "Do you have a room for one? I'll take the cheaper stay, just for the night. And if you've got anything to eat, that'd be great."
She hadn't eaten since mid-afternoon, which wasn't too bad, but well, she'd hoped for better. Her hand ruffled through her hair, as she held her hand out and said, "I'm Aimi, by the way!"
