Three months had passed since the battle at the Citadel and they ‘lost’ of the most commemorated soldiers the Alliance Navy had seen. The truth was no one was really ‘lost’ many of the crew after managing to save the galaxy from the indoctrination had scattered. They wanted peace and quiet not being bothered by the populous and being constantly harassed. Miranda Lawson was one of them. The moment she had been able to she had snuck off. Her natural black hair was dyed golden brown, she wore glasses to help hide in the crowd. She had at first gone back gon to Cerberus but they had tried to get information on what had happened from her and found herself fleeing once more. She suffered from night terrors and the crew had tried to make her a subject which she wouldn't allow at least anymore. She managed to flee to the citadel and was living pretty well. She became a bartender at the club many leaving her on her own. She had heard so many life stories and problems since she started her job which bothered her a bit. Many were males complaining about being married with no freedom and children that they had to deal with. Despite her own yearning to start her own family, it was moments like those she was glad she hadn’t. She never wanted her partner to feel that she was a burden or even warden to them.
She was currently was scrubbing the counters when the familiar sound of the opening of the door reached her. Her brown eyes looked up her breath hitching in her throat at the sight of the man. She never thought she’d run into him let alone here at the bar. The man was part of her past a past she had wanted to forget but it seemed that destiny had other ideas for her. She quickly averted her eyes not wanting to be seen as a creep for staring at him so long. A drunk guest started flirting with her causing her to roll her eyes at him and silently endure the harassment until the man became a bit too much and tried to grope her. Security was immediately escorting the man much to her relief her eyes looking for him the man that she had a crush on since they had met. She spotted him a bit grateful he hadn’t wandered over to her but, she was curious as for how his life had been since the end of the war. She had a rule she went by never mix work with pleasure or it would turn ugly she had stomped down all her feelings about the man in question. She knew after their first mission together that she was attracted to him. She had fought her instincts whenever she had been left behind and he’d take another female with him on a mission and now she had to endure and watch of one of the floor girls flirt with him. She was such a fool she thought herself she. She would never stop loving him.
