A couple of questions regards the conversations/pm system here..

Is there a limit on the amount of text characters or is it unlimited?
Are the conversations private between the participants?

As far as I'm aware it is unlimited, it's possible there's some hard limit that's too large to matter but otherwise they should be the same as a thread post.

The conversations are indeed private between only the people that are invited to it. Aside from if Vek needs to check for people breaking site rules, I suppose.

The limit is fuckhuge.

Conversations are stored as plain text in the database. I cannot add encryption that I can't also defeat. This is true for every website that doesn't have you provide your own encryption keys.

That said, I only check when requested to by staff.
