Ailith sat in a large room filled with various musical instruments; the dark curtains were pulled back letting the sunlight spill through the massive arched windows- bathing everything in the room in its warm glow. The King sat in front of a massive golden harp, her fingers lazily plucking at the strings. The sunlight played off of her scales showing off the vivid blues, purples and hints of greens that shimmered along the surface, her long silken black hair was pushed back away from her forehead by her crown and hung straight down her back. Golden accessories adorned her body, some of them making a tinkling sound when she moved. As her mind drifted off into plans made years ago, a melody slowly began to form as she played the instrument. She had been chosen as the new King ten years prior by the slates when the old "King" had finally passed on. She could still remember the rush of power as it over-filled her being and within the maelstrom of energy that swirled within her she had seen with perfect clarity, if even for a moment, what would be her legacy.
She began to put her plans into effect almost immediately, with the power granted by the slates, she came to rule her home world of Lumea fiarelor. Her first goal had been to "upgrade" her world, as it had been living in a relative dark age with only one city that employed any level of technology and was the only city that had any kind of trade. For her plans, she required the boons that came with a world that made use of technology to a much greater degree and the massive amounts of money from export trading. So she had set out to better her world and after ten long years she had finally reached the point she needed to begin the next stage of her plans. In a few days time her ship the "Tarakona", would be ready and she would be off to the world of elves to meet with the King that ruled there.
The melody from the harp formed itself into a calming, almost angelic song, the music echoing down the empty halls of where she lived.
