The cosmic theater was a turbulent one. Constant in fighting of the elder gods and the new gods. Lesser life created and then wiped out before they had the time to accomplish a thing. How the gods ever managed to sit down together and craft the cosmos was a mystery even beyond the gods knowledge. On this new realm, Earth, by committee they filled it with a variety of life and created their most brilliant creation of all humans. Unlike the unimaginable void beasts and world devouring monsters. They created something with similar potential. But was only potential. They would have to discover their potential and create to meet it. In another surprisingly diplomatic move from the god they decided to create mediators. An aspect created by the elder gods and an aspect created by the newer ones. The aspects would watch over the humans, removing direct influence from the gods, the downfall of so many races before.
While the humans discovered themselves on the pristine planet as did the aspects. The humans gone through physical changes as the years progressed. The aspects never changed. The humans could live off plants or the flesh of animals. The aspects lived solely on the blood of other creatures. Truly the gods must have thought having the aspects grow alongside the humans would make them wiser in their supervision. Three decades have passed since the age of creation
Achyut sank his fangs into the jugular of his prey. A deer nearing the end of his life. The creature looked barely able to hold up the massive rack of antlers that rested upon his head. Achyut brushed back his braided locks. Maybe the humans could use the meat and fur. Since they discovered this fire thing, they became quite fascinated with placing their food over it. The bronze skinned aspect hoisted the carcass on his shoulder to carry off to the human camp he knew was near by.
