There were trees everywhere in the jungle, their thick roots protruding through the moist dirt like a trap, waiting for some foolish person to rush past and trip. Their canopies blocked the sunlight making it eerily dark beneath them. But the dark did not bother Lexi who took nimble steps, easily avoiding the hazardous roots and vines, the jungle would not stop her from her mission.

The harsh screech of a monkey sounded far over to her left, she carefully pressed her lithe body against the closest trunk, her mossy green and gray fatigues allowing her to almost melt into the tree, the only thing revealing her true form was the pale skin of her face and arms, both bare but slightly smeared with dirt and grime. Long locks of pure blonde hair were tucked up under her cap, to avoid making her more recognisable. These features were due to her Scandinavian heritage. Icy blue eyes scanned her surroundings as she bit her lower lip. Once her heartbeat had settled she ran her fingertips over the cool blackness of her gun in its holster by her hip.

The girl had been sent from the army base camp at the lower end of the jungle to infiltrate the opposition's camp, find out information on their weapons, soldiers, aims and so forth, without being caught. Lexi was getting closer as she could hear a mere whisper of voices traveling in the wind. Taking a deep breathe in Lexi sidled around the tree and then began to keep moving ever closer to her goal.

A jungle of almost never ending trees and vegetation.. really it was something not seen often in these days, yet it was almost a perfect setting for what was occurring between two nations right here,.. a war almost was taking place.. and Seth was the leader of this particular squad that for now.. was resting within the camp that had been setup just for them, most of them being the more elite of the soldiers.. Seth no exception. They had ideas that the other camp.. not to far from here would try to infiltrate.. and yet he had told them to act normal, this would allow the other camp a chance in, but he would catch anyone that would try to sneak into the base under his command personally and then deal with them.

It was more the fact he preferred to take things into his own hands instead of dirtying up others.. they all had important tasks to think about.. so only he needed to be distracted in the fact that soon someone would probably come to try and infiltrate.. possibly even try to take him out as that would be a fast method to stop this war. Although he was slightly limited by his full uniform,.. it was a little cold to wear anything else otherwise, his black boots great protection from what the jungle had to offer. From head to toe the rest was standard.. his shoulder showcasing his rank with a double stripe, he was yet to earn any medals for the front.. but that would come in time.

Slowly he paced inside his own quarters of the camp, it was known partially that the group that they had to call opposition knew this was his location.. but the source that had told him such a thing, well.. was said to not tell the others because he would deal with it. The conflict mainly had been over land.. rights,.. wealth.. and other assorted things although this conflict really was not solving anything.. it was in the wrong place, at the wrong time, but still Seth felt the need to hang around and fight.

(sorry for delay.. and that my post is not better)

Lexi's eyebrows shifted down at an angle as she peered into the trees, making out the distinct shape of a tent, and then she saw another one, larger, more like a marquee, and then a few more! A slight look of confusion crossed her face, they weren't supposed to be this close, her information had clearly stated that the opposition clearly made camp at least another half mile away from where she was currently standing. A quick moment of panic gripped her before she closed her eyes and scowled, trying to dismiss thoughts of being caught due to something petty such as breathing too loudly. Consciously she slowed her breath, the sound of her inhalation and exhalation softening, she had to stay focused on making it through this mission.

Nimbly she darted through the trees, edging closer to the camp until she was roughly 50 feet away. Her delicate hands lifted a small pair of binoculars to her eyes, swiftly scanning the perimeter for watchmen, only her pale face was barely visible within the dense foliage of the jungles under-growth. "White Fox to Red Sparrow, I am about to enter the enemy's base. Over." She spoke in a mere whisper towards her wrist watch which transmitted her voice back to her own base camp, she would receive no reply as it was a one-way transmitter. With a soft sigh she began to head to the west side of the camp which seemed to be empty of soldiers. Roughly 5 minutes later she dove into a tumble, rolling into the open flaps of an empty tent before standing beside the opening with her gun held firmly in her hands.

It was true that they as a group had moved their camp closer without showing a sign of movement. This would surprise anyone who came to try and spy on the group.. but Seth had sent some of the people away from the area he was in mainly for the fact that he could handle anything.. if anything actually came. He had a suspicion today someone was trying to come and either kill him, steal information.. or just spy to find out the setup that the camp had. Luckily his tent had not much technical data and so if someone did come.. because it looked like the easiest to enter without being noticed they would probably head for that location. He was hoping to draw the people towards him.. that way he could have the honors with dealing them.. and so now he was just waiting, prepared for a person to come but relaxed enough to be slightly off guard.

Nearby he heard what sounded like a movement which caused him to get up from where he was resting, his hand slid to his belt before simply withdrawing a knife, the other hand was sitting on the holster of his gun but he would not resort to it, unless it was the last action that would either save his life.. or was just needed. His footsteps were loud, his army boots steel capped which just made each step a little heavier and no matter who it was.. well she knew he was around now. This would turn out to be rather interesting although he still had not seen her yet, since she was only nearby.. not in direct sight yet and if she was clever.. she would probably try to keep it that way,.. but Seth knew he could get around that somehow
