I know I'm new and probably won't get a lot of responses and that's totally fine. I've just had this world banging around my head for a while and I would really like to be able to play within its bounds again.

My F-List - READ THIS. Please. Thank you~! I have no specific fantasies I'm going for as most kinks on my list there will fit into the world that's been constructed. (That being said I have a ~huge~ soft spot for werewolves.)

A few ground rules I'd like to set down:
1. I HEAVILY dislike sudden modification of the setting I've written. Please, if you are interested in seeing how something may go a different way, ask. Don't just do. I've had issues with this in the past, on other sites, on a severe scale and I'd really rather not have to go through it again, as it put me in a major writer's block last time. For example, there is an immense city kept in a pocket of sorts, and the demon who serves as its anchor -cannot- leave or the pocket will collapse, killing the denizens inside. No amount of magic will allow him to leave. He's also a very private, reclusive person with few close friends. Suddenly saying X character has been a good friend of his for years? Please, please don't. Talk to me first, let's work something out to make it flow.
2. No power-gaming. My characters are not perfect and have weaknesses just like any ordinary person would. One-upping is not appreciated and if I'm bothered by something a character has done, I'll gently say so the first few times. I don't want immediate, nuclear solutions to the problems the characters will face.
3. I'm looking for longer threads with a healthy mix of smut and story. The world I've built ranges from one side of the US to the other, with unique places and even more unique characters.
4. Communication is key! Please, talk to me! I'm open to almost any plot notions as long as we plan them out and work toward them together. That being said, if you introduce a plot twist that fits the rules of the story - YES, fantastic! Wonderful!
5. I would prefer threads, but if you prefer PM I can learn how to work with that.

Everyone raced to the suburbs
And I'm on the rooftop with curious strangers
This is the oddest of summers"

Sanford has been a quiet town for as long as most of its citizens can remember. Nestled in the many rolling hills of Pennsylvania and tucked out of the way of most major towns, it's curiously hard to find - really, in order to find it, you have to know where it is already. But, sometimes, you can find it if you know a few people... or if you've just become quite lost.

You see, Sanford is not and has never quite been a normal town. Rumors of witchcraft and night creatures abound, and yet the citizens seem unbothered, even laughing off the stories - "Vampires? In MY bar?" Well, it's more likely than they think. The world as most humans see it has been carefully guarded and watched by those with an interest in keeping the peace - after all, humans are not exactly the best at accepting what is different from themselves. This is the story of some of those people, some of these inhuman creatures, who protect the humans not to keep the humans safe - but, primarily, to keep themselves alive.

There is a tea shop, owned by a cute young woman with a shy smile, where for the right price you can buy a scarf that will always be warm in winter, even on the bitterest of days. The porn shop above the gas station on the main avenue feels charged with energy, its selections of movies and toys as buxom as the woman who bags your purchases with a warm grin and a sly look in her eyes. And if you go to Angel's Den, a bar reputed to be seedy and unsafe, on the far end of town, you'll find surrounded by wild drinkers and raucous laughter. But it feels strangely safe, here, and at the bar, a figure in short denim shorts and a black muscle tank grins as they set their eyes on you over their rye whiskey. Behind them, the bartender leans over to whisper in their ear and the grin vanishes in a snap as the stranger knocks back their drink and heads out behind the bar.

You see, Sanford has a problem - a growing set of dead bodies, mangled and chewed. With each body found, it has become apparent these aren't just "bear attacks" like the local force has claimed. No, this is something else, something supernatural, something unsettling even for the locals to eye. While most in town would hesitate to call them so, the primary protectors - a grizzled old man who works behind the bar with their child as the bouncer - are at a loss, baffled by the attacks and uncertain of whether it's simple feral werewolves... or something far, far worse.

There will be a whole cast of characters for you to interact with, ranging from the nubile shapeshifting bouncer and their father to the sultry co-owners of the adult bookstore. Each has their own story, each tie loosely into the overarching plot, but it is up to you how the story unfolds. There is only one rule: The human world cannot know that this other, darker underbelly exists. Similar to Vampire: The Masquerade in that sense. Sanford is a bit of a loose cannon - most humans are aware of something strange, but because the town is so intimately tied into these strange other creatures, they don't stare too hard at it. Sort of like Welcome to Night Vale.

I'm not particularly looking for anything specific from you - You could be a human, dragged into this mess by a recent death. You could be an outsider from elsewhere, a monster like the rest, looking for work as you drift. Sanford is merely the start of the play, the beginning of something fun and fantastic. This story can be as fun and lighthearted or as grim and dark as either of us please, as the setting works delightfully with both.

I'll be playing a varying cast - ranging from the quite genderfluid Toni to feminine Emilia to masculine Tybalt. That being said - you don't have to fuck the ones you don't want to fuck. They'll just exist as characters in the story, serving purpose and assisting the characters as they progress through the story. Obviously, each character has a secret - nothing ground or game breaking, as every secret has its own limitations, and some secrets will come to light before others. It all depends on who you interact with most.

Short info on the characters:
Toni Carver, with olive skin and black hair, is the bouncer at the Angel's Den, has been for as long as they can remember - which, honestly, isn't very far, as they have some memory loss stemming from an incident some decades before. All they remember is that their father, Tybalt, nearly died saving them from whatever almost killed them. They're charming and friendly, always with a grin and always eager to please in more ways than one. Being a shapeshifter definitely has its perks~

Tybalt Carver, farmer's-style tan and brown hair, is the bartender and owner of the Angel's Den, though he's not there very often - keeping his town, his land, safe is his priority over everything else. Behind the grim and regularly angry exterior, there seems to be a deep pain inside him. But he keeps it quiet, hellishly focused on just protecting what is his.

Emilia Borland, a soft Greek beauty, owns Borland Teas, a sweet little shop in the shopping center in the eastern end of town. She does sell more than teas: Need a potion for your ills? She's the girl to go to. But more whispers have begun to skirt, murmurs of devilish deals and dark magic behind her office door...

Blonde and blue-eyed Lina Lillim is one of two owners of Adult Co., the shop over the gas station, and she is almost gorgeous enough to rival the stars on the covers of the DVDs she sells. She and her husband opened up here years ago and have never left... never aged...

Dale Seraf is an odd one - a tall, dark-skinned mystery who comes and goes as he pleases in the world. He frequently butts heads with Toni - and bumps hips, if their ongoing frenemies-with-benefits relationship couldn't be more obvious. He owes Toni and Tybalt a significant debt - for what, no one else knows. They say if you make it worth his while, in money or ass or anything else he would want in exchange, he can give you whatever you desire...

Chax Hybris is an unusual young man who doesn't blend in at all with the local town, and one glance behind his glamour will tell you exactly why. The grandson of Lina and Tom, he boasts a strange heritage of incubus talent and magical inclination. Behind those burning eyes though is a very tired youth, who very much wants a weekend off.
