While the RP I'm shooting for could fit modern or sci fi, romance or strong D/s, the one constant is that our characters are of different species, one of which is treated as intelligent pets, indentured servants, or at the very least second-class citizens. Just to make pronoun use clear and simply set a default, for this thread let's say MC as a male dom human, YC as a female sub anthro or kemonomimi (human with ears/tail). Yet I'm willing to swap who is which role or species in that pairing, and some other species combination is possible. Before getting into more details, a bit about me.
The basics
Setting
The main approach I'm taking for this thread is that YC's species are seen as pets; legally they're property you must treat humanely. Make no mistake--they're intelligent, talk, and so on just like any person--but the fact they're Not Human and have animal characteristics have significantly colored our judgment. Sex with them is considered mildly taboo, comparable to masturbation; everyone assumes you do it but no one talks about or even acknowledges it. How prevalent they are though depends. They could be fairly common, bred and raised normally and as expensive as an iphone to buy. On the other end of the spectrum technology allows them to be completely customizable with altered genes, advanced growth and mental uploads so that you can get whatever your heart desires. For a hefty price. For the following ideas, I'm going with somewhere closer to the first: uncommon but not costly.
Plots
Never Feed a Stray (Strong craving)
YC is homeless. MC, seeing her huddled under an awning to keep dry in the rain, takes pity on her and offers her a place to stay for the night, just to get dry and clean and fed. A night turns into a few days, and then weeks. The easiest path here is that she was once owned and trained, but due to circumstances wound up on the street anyway. This has left her alone, miserable, longing for her old life and the simple warmth of another caring person. The story is the characters gaining trust, adjusting, and settling in.
Inheritance
Out of the blue, MC gets her. Perhaps a relative has passed, and someone else in the family needs to take her. Her previous owner can't keep her anymore for some reason. She could comes with a position--anyone who holds the title of VP gets this particular pet. Or she's even a gift, parents getting their 16-20 year old son a companion, to help him "grow up" a little, or help him transition into college.
The Rat Race
Companies find that her species make good cheap labor. This one houses them in dorms and has them doing low level jobs--data entry, filing, etc. MC could be the one responsible for training new acquisitions, or possibly someone in the company looking to get a personal assistant. Either way, she's new and he takes a shine to her.
Company and Care
MC is getting older, or is perhaps physically impaired, and getting one of her species is good for companionship and/or assistance. YC could be communally owned--the frat's pet, or something along the lines of the group owning her. Or even YC could have been gotten as a family pet, someone to play with the kids and act like a nanny, not entertain dad. But our characters forge a strong bond, almost unintentionally.
Kinks
My General Req Thread and F-list outline my general tastes, but I did want to touch on something. While YC is seen as a pet, I'm not looking specifically for the petplay kink here--the character acting/being treated like an animal (cages, food bowls, nudity, given serious speaking restrictions, etc). There will be some of that, in terms of restricting character behavior and the the natural affection/comfort of a pet to an owner.
The basics
- Please communicate, let me know if you're no longer interested, if you can't get online for a while, etc. If something in the RP isn't working, we can stop or retool it. If I message you for the first time and you don't see anything that appeals to you, a "No thanks" is greatly appreciated over no response.
- MC can be male or futa, but YC should be female. Your RL gender doesn't matter.
- Reply length baseline is around 3 paragraphs.
- Would prefer a partner who can post every other day to twice a week.
- The story to sex ratio depends on the plot. I can enjoy porny one-shots and longer works with more plot, but do like a healthy helping of smut.
- Threads/PMs/Emails preferred for RP. I'm curious to experiment with Google Docs.
