Hi! I've specifically created this thread in search for my ideal Prince x suitors roleplay. Please keep in mind that many of the details here are subject to change. I'm pretty open and versatile so if you're interested in the setting and at least something form this page then don't be afraid to message me and we can probably work something out.
1. Literate, long term partners preferred. I can write between 2-8 paragraphs per post in roleplays in which I have one character. This will obviously be a multi character roleplay so expect even more when a bunch of them are together. I need someone who can keep up with that. That being said, I can also write less. It all depends on the setting and the current action so I won't waste anyone's time with useless filler.
2. Male x Male romances only. I won't be opposed to female characters, NPCs, best friends and whatever else, but I won't be focusing any romance on them.
3. I can roleplay over Emails and discord. If you're one of those people that needs their partner to be online at the same time in order to roleplay, then we might not work out. Our time differences will get in the way, as will my schedule. I can keep in touch though OOC when I can't post but I generally try to post at least once a day and once a few days/ a week in a worse case scenario.
4. I need character development and meaningful interactions between them.
I'm mainly interested in a fantasy setting. I'm cool with elves, orcs, whatever else you can think of in a kingdom where magic exists (whether it's rare or not is up for discussion, I'm pretty open on this as well). I'm always up for political intrigue and I imagine that most of the action will take place at the palace or during travels. Please keep in mind that for travelling scenes not all of my characters would be present. Given their nature/ status it wouldn't be realistic for them to just take off on a random trip unless the prince explicitly insists on them coming with!
The personal guard.
He's the prince's personal guard, his father would be a general or some high ranking military officer (lol, no pressure kiddo). He'd be the typical warrior type, sword + shield kind of guy, very honorable. He's not 100% aware of his sexuality + looking after the prince has barely given him enough time to explore. That being said he'd be madly in love with him in a variety of ways and by that I mean he'd put his life on the line for him, he'd foolishly consider them to be friends, even. He'd also be aware that out of all the suitors he probably won't be marrying him and since that's the case he'd be very devoted to making sure that whoever the prince ends up with is up to his standards and respectable. I'd like for him to be closer in age to the prince, but a few years older. So, for example, if your character is 18, Sagt would be in his mid twenties. If your character is in his mid twenties, Sagt would be 30.
The mentor.
He would play the role of the prince's teacher or mentor in some capacity. In a setting in which the prince would be magical, Taeral would be his mentor. But if that's not something you're interested in we can think of something else. He's your typical romantic character. His way of interacting with the prince might make him seem desperate to some, or like he has ulterior motives due to always dotting on him. Like Sagt, he's also aware that he might not be marrying him due to his position but unlike Sagt who feels a bit trapped in his place, Taeral would start making more political moves to potentially shift everything in his favor. To some this might look like an attempt to gain more power by being closer to the future crown of the kingdom. This could also be, in case we're going for the mage angle, because people are generally weary of mages and find them shifty and untrustworthy.
The nobleman.
Dominic is the obvious first contender for the prince's hand. He's an older nobleman with heavy political ties, probably divorced (could also have kids of his own, dunno). The prince's hand hasn't been promised to him but pretty much everyone knows that given his status they might end up together. Whether he is in love with the prince is up for debate. Given the prince's younger age he'd probably be more persuasive, trying to convince him to make some sort of political statement that would be to his benefit. He's very confident..
The shadow.
Fiamh is the assassin. Basically he does the crown's dirty work for them. A master of whipers or shadows, if you will. He'll be the mysterious, quiet type cause I love that cliche shoot me. Due to his upbringing he'd have a hard time showing the prince romance, but his heart is in it still! He'd be the type of guy that would show up unannounced at the prince's window or balcony being an awkward fuck that doesn't say a word (Think a setting where the general feeling is 'will he, or will he not?'). Or he'd also show up out of the blue, in the dead of the night, heavily injured for some reason. Point is he really likes the prince, he just doesn't know how to show it.
