A weird looking man would sit at a table, a large fluffy jacket covering the majority of his frame. A pair of wrap around goggles covered his eyes from sight but he seemed rather calm in his surroundings. He would flick his wrist so that he could adjust a tablet in his hand, shifting the ad that had appeared on it as he would cross his leg over the other as he would speak aloud. "What ever happened to actually just reading the paper? I mean, you never have to worry about these stupid pop-ups."

There were a few whimpers coming from not to far as the man would turn his attention over to the sound. "I know, I know. Don't worry, you shouldn't be stuck around too much longer." A group were pinned a few feet off the ground, steel beams seemingly pinning them from moving. A cop was bleeding on the ground, a pole jolting out of his arm making sure he could not move. "You'll never get awa-"

His voice was cut off as the goggled wearing man would flick his hand, a tiny metal ball shooting from his finger tip to strike the naysayer in the forehead. Lead would raise his legs up onto a pallet of gold bars, leaning back in the chair. "No, no, you don't get to talk."

It was just another night for Serena, also known as Shadow with her nightly activities. No, not those kind of activities, not the ones in bed. Activities in the street, mainly crime fighting, as cliche as it sound. Well, Serena found the whole thing to be a bit cliche, a powered individual going around at night fighting crime. This wasn't where she saw herself though, it just kind of happened, the crime fighting. Serena had powers for quite a while, she just never did much with them until recent. After stopping some thugs in an alleyway one night, she just kept at it. Now, here she was, dressed black faux leather pants that hugged her slightly toned legs along with a dark gray kevlar shirt, custom made of course, and a black leather like jacket thrown over with black boots on her feet. A simple black domino mask covered her eyes, plain and simple. Her hands were covered with black gloves.

"Didn't anyone teach you that it's not nice to skewer people?" Serena scoffed as she landed a few feet away from the strange man. She didn't stumble upon this by accident, there was a distress call that came from the cop a while back. Serena had a small radio in her ear that was connected to the police station as a way to pick up on crime. "Just what the hell are you even doing?"

Lead would pause as someone else had appeared on the scene to which he would look the woman up and down. "Well, well, well. I didn't think I'd get a reaction so soon. You hero types really hit the ground running." He would then chuckle at the remark as he would shift his legs back over one another, pointing back toward the cop that had been pinned to the ground as that was the one she must have been talking about.

"Hey, I was just protecting myself. I don't want to get shot. That'd hurt." He would then let his feet come down onto the floor, taking hold of the pile of gold bars to help himself up into a standing position and then patting it. "Taking some gold for starters. Was going to have some fun with a hero that has been running around messing with my guys." He would raise a hand, pointing at the woman. "I assume that'd be you?"

"Well, you wouldn't have a gun pointed at you in the first place if you behaved. Then, maybe, you wouldn't get hurt at all, let alone get shot at." Serena snidely remarked as she watched him with careful eyes, her body remaining tense as she was on her toes, not literally of course. She had to be ready to react, and she knew that she had to be on edge in this line of work. "On the other hand, who else would be messing with your goons? You see anyone else running around with a mask on or playing hero? And I'm going to keep fucking around with them until you get the message and stop. Though, I'm pretty sure I can get the message through to you directly right now. So, either you do this the easy way and stop, or we can do this the hard way and you can get the message pounded into you."

She may not seem like much, not like she had muscles packed onto her, nor was she big or menacing looking. Hell, she was quite the opposite. Sure she may lack in the strength department, but she made up for it with her agility and speed. Her small size came in handy as well with fitting in tight spots and maneuverability. "I suggest you take the easy way and grab those handcuffs off the cop and slap them on yourself, or I slap them on you."

Lead would open his mouth to give a rebuttal to her comment but no words came as he would concede. "You've got me there." He would let his arms cross over his chest as she would admit that it was in fact her that had been messing with his operations. He would look around, as if to try and find some other masked vigilantly. "Yeah, you seem to have a corner market on the whole hero deal." She would then give him the ultimatum.

Either he turn himself in or she was going to bring him down herself. "Ohho~? Is that right? You do seem the confident sort." The threat was...amusing to say the least but for her to be the one that had been ruining his plans up to this point, something had to be up. Maybe she had some sort of hideaway buddy or she was trying to play him as a fool. She would then demand that he handcuff himself in order to be taken in.

"Well, if those are my options..." He would hold his hands up as he would walk over to the policeman, reaching down and taking the cuffs from his hip. "Though, I do like the idea of using cuffs...but..." He would quickly pull himself up, throwing the cuffs at the woman. The jangling cuffs would quickly shift into a pair of thick bars, intent on striking the woman in the chest but it was unlikely, though, if she was just playing the fake hero, this was going to hurt her...quite a bit.

Serena wasn't inexperienced. Well, she hadn't had much experience at this whole 'hero' gig and all, but with her powers she wasn't. When she saw the bar come at her, she quickly swapped herself with a clone, letting the bar hit it while she was safe in the shadows of a nearby wall. "Now that's just rude. Already trying to impale me on the first date. Tsk, tsk, did no one teach you manners?" She joked as she came out of the shadows, careful to keep her distance from him until she figured him out more, well, more of figure out his powers more. Last thing she wanted was something going through her if she just popped up behind him or next to him.

Slowly, she circled him, her careful eyes studying him closely as the shadows beneath her feet slowly rose up from the ground as if they were coming to life. The shadows swayed around her at hip level, forming tendrils of different sizes. "Guess we're doing things the hard way then." A small tendril shot out at him at a rather fast speed, almost like a dart shooting out at a target. Serena was still just testing the waters with him, of course. So, for now, she was just going to poke at him with her powers to see his reactions. She watched as the tendril headed for his chest area. She wasn't aiming to kill or anything, she wasn't like that.

The goggle wear man would watch as the metal would strike what looked to be her shadow, risen from the ground to take her place. Her voice came out from somewhere near a wall. He would raise his shoulders in a shrug, shaking his head. "I wasn't trying to impale, that was more of a love tap. Or, was going to be but I see that you aren't just show." She would come from the shadows, slowly starting to circle him like some sort of animal.

"You can look but no touching." He would saw, turning his head to the side, aiming to keep an eye on her, hearing the footfalls. She would state that it was the hard way they were traveling. "Guess so." A shadow bolted at him, his foot rising and kicking the ground. A metal row of piles would break through the tile, intent on intercepting the would-be objects. "You are starting to sound like the hero I've been hearing about. Guess I owe some guys an apology. Well, owe is a big word. A nicer funeral set."

He would flick his finger against the pipelines, a solid block would break away from them, making a hole for him to see through as well as sending another projectile her way.
