"Welcome to the kingdom of Celia, a peaceful land that is ruled over by the Celine Family and home to the biggest black market on this side of Patmos. Surrounding Marlow Castle is Kankel City, where the rich can get richer and the poor make money any way they can. A city that welcomes other half-breeds like me is rare but see how many are well off and you'll see that they are mostly for work. In three days, the gates to the castle will open to all the nobles as the new princess will be crowned as queen. While the fools are dancing and drinking the night away, we will be sneaking in and robbing the castle blind." Zida smiled and turned to the cat that hopped onto his shoulders and rolled its eyes.
"I know Zida, you haven't shut up about this score in weeks. We still have to find ways into the castle, I doubt the guards will like those large cat ears on your head. I can sneak in but you will need a bit of help." Feror the cat stated and licked himself while Zida ignored his friend's pessimistic comments and looked towards the castle with excitement in his eyes.
"If we can pull this off then we'll be kings among thieves. A new life where we won't have to be chased anymore." Zida petted his old friend and continued to walk to town. The two had traveled across the entire kingdom, stealing food, pickpocketing, and stowing away on passing wagons until they heard that the castle would be opening its gates for once. This would be the one chance they would get to change their lives and Zida refused to let this one pass him by.
The moon greeted them as they arrived in the old and dirty part of the city and Zida went straight to the nearest inn as he was thinking of ways to sneak into the most guarded place in Celia. The next morning, Zida decided to let Feror sleep in while he headed to the castle to see what they were dealing with.
