Mike Prinz had gone from a typical wage slave with lots of little hobbies to a tech billionaire over the course of just four years. It had started with a business app and turned into the development of wearable tech. Through his rise to fame, Mike had maintained his online presence and continued to post on forums and use social media. The wealthier he got, the more involved Mike got in trying to give back.

After reaching a net worth of two billion dollars, Mike began giving away all the income he made beyond that. The variety of charities he made regular and sizable donations to drew that much more attention to him. People seemed to really like his every man look and behavior and as a result he was a popular guest on talk shows looking for feel good segments or to marvel at the rich guy who purchased the building his apartment was in rather than move out and living in a mansion.

It was a Thursday afternoon, a beautiful early summer day in the valley. Mike had shown up at a park for a YouTube show with millions of followers. It's gimmick was to get two celebrities of one type or another and get them to do challenges together. Mike wasn't big on watching that sort of thing on YouTube but he was pretty playful and thought it would be fun to see who they would pair him up with. Being that he wasn't the tallest nor the most athletic, Mike couldn't help but assume that they'd be pairing him up with some massive football player or something like that. Not sure what he'd be up to, Mike had worn a pair of jeans and a tshirt and just tossed on a hoodie that he could easily shed if need be. The chucks he was wearing had been the same pair he'd been wearing since just before his first app went nuts. They were looking a little rough but they were still comfortable.

After checking in with the production people, all of whom were just slightly above college age, Mike took a seat in one of the folding chairs that were provided for the talent that day. No one was saying what the challenge was going to be and Mike was fine with that. As he waited for his partner to show up and for things to get started, Mike started playing a game on his phone and listening to some music on a pair of wireless earbuds.
