Venarus of Tarkoth walks with a small vanguard of men into the Capital city of Sumbia, the place he was sworn to protect when called upon to raise his levies. This place was filled with culture, being a port city it was the first and last line of defense when it came to foreigners, and if the stories were true.. Many very interesting foreigners had shown up around the city. From different races of humanoids to men and women of the Desertlands, all of them inhabited the slums of the city. When it came to the rich, most were just humans, and from Sumbia, all of them working directly under the Emperor and Empress in some fashion, all of them silenced by the weight of coin.
This noble-blood of Tarkoth stood at a height of 6'1, he has the body of a warrior, one he had inhabited from years of training with his master or arms. He has thick black hair that is cut down to a more controllable level and slightly tanned white skin from being in the blazing sun of Sumbia, which had seemed to only grow hotter as the summer begins to roll around. His eyes are that of gold, only warmer and not as noticeable as some eye colors that roam around Sumbia. It is said that the men of the North have ice for eyes, though nobody had seen them and lived to confirm or deny the rumor. He wears leather armor with chain mail beneath it, and a long-sword is strapped to his side, though he had not found the need to use it since Sumbia's last war against their neighbors.
He and his men had come to the city in search of a Priestess, the people of Tarkoth were unable to comprehend love, they seemed miserable, and the harvest was low. Venarus hoped that the rumors of this Priestess worshiping the Goddess Koriah and teaching of her ways were true, though he understood that the official stance on foreign Gods/Goddess' was that they were to be ignored, as they were false.. But there could be some truth to Koriah. He wanted his people to learn about her, perhaps to understand her teachings and maybe increase morale from not only having something to follow, but to learn how to love one another in ways not expressed by regular teachings.
They pay a peasant for information, it is said that the Priestess is called Asha, and that she resides in one of the slums where she gives her services, which one of them was going on right this moment. He only takes two of the ten men he had brought, leaving the others outside of where this sermon was happening and walks inside, curious to see for himself what a service like this could contain.
