Ta-Daaa...

Here is where we will have our out of character talks, be they plot discussions or just idle chatter.

You’re on your own. Good luck.

Ah, you beat me too it. I was just about to make a OOC thread for the group. Good now we have a place to talk about anything.

Jaeger and SSG420, you need to use paragraphs. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect respect, and that means putting your posts in neat paragraphs so others can understand what's going on and what a character is saying. Anytime there's dialogue? Start a new paragraph. Do not bunch everything together and expect us to sift through it for salvage.

I don't care if you're jotting your posts down with your Phones, iPads or WiiU systems. There's no excuse for not using paragraphs.

EDIT: That includes you, Fright.

Sorry about that, I'm bad about going that as I'm always using my cell to post. I will do better about that.

Honestly, Jaeger, I use my cell all the time, and it’s not that hard to make paragraphs. Don’t make excuses, just do it.

According to School a paragraph is 4-5 sentences. But according to the actual definition of a paragraph there is no hard guidelines that give real boundaries for how many or few sentences make up a paragraph. Everyone's idea of paragraph vary so if you are placing requirements then said requirements should be more definitive, So you might want to set a "number" of sentences as a whole we will consider a paragraph. or take a group poll and let everyone cast their opinion on the groups definition of paragraph.

Would you happen to have a rough map i could use for reference? Id appreciate it if so. I need to know elevated areas in our surroundings as well as buildings and other structure locations so I can plot my strategy for this encounter. with a map or quick detailed account of the layout ill be ready to post replying to everyone i have on going interactions with.

For reference, ' ] ' shapes are defensive lines/positions, ' X ' shapes represent roadblocks, ' Red Circles ' are the current projected enemy positions, the 'Red Hexagon' is the T-72 tank, at least the first known one, and the blue diamond is the general area that most of the players are in. The plan is to get in some fighting, stroke our E-Dicks and snort gunpowder for awhile before falling back to Spielothek Casino- and from there, underground for some good ol' humanity.

Fucking awesome thank you i appreciate it!
I have an urge to edit your most recent post to be coherent, but that's your job. With 15+ years RP experience (if your profile's to be believed), you oughta be styling all over the rest of us with perfect grammar, spelling, punctuation and spacing. Could you at least make an attempt to tidy your posts up?

Grammar spelling punctuation is not a direct reflective of someone's roleplaying ability. You have done nothing but be judgemental and a tad bit rude to me every since I have joined this roleplay. it's almost as if you are targeting me. try being a little less prudish and maybe this roleplay could actually be FUN which is the purpose of roleplaying not to be a professional writer. you seem to have lost the perspective of what roleplay is about. First of all my post was ran through spell check before posting there is nothing misspelled for one. secondly.. try judging less... and having fun more. and instead of singling me out and targeting me for whatever reason try to recheck your own and others post for punctuation spelling and the lot... you'll find PLENTY more to bitch about than running off the chops to me for whatever reason it is you have against me.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Honestly, though, Major Mario is not picking on you at all. There have been a few posts (yes, yours included, unfortunately) that have been difficult reads.

Also, just because you ran your post through a spellchecker doesn’t mean that there aren’t things wrong with it. Hell, if spellcheck was a magical fix-all, my reports for school and posts here would be perfectly amazing, and they’re not.

Ther was absolutely no call for you flying off the handle the way you did, and because this is a group forum, I believe you owe everyone an apology.

Perhaps it's being targeted is not the thing for me? as you stated yourself its not just my posts yet its only my posts being pointed out. proof of being targeted. And yes My spell checker is professional grade.. it is hardly ever off base. difficult reads? lol if you say so. in all the roleplays across several sites and this is the only one roleplay in which anyone is complaining.. so obviously i'm not the problem.. just the target of prudish unsolicited hatred and judging. So before also passing judgement try looking at the facts you laid out yourself... then reevaluate your theory.

I don’t see you being singled out for any one thing here. You, Jaegerfox, and frightorflight were advised to use paragraphs, to which you alone responded with a snarky, passive-aggressive “everyone’s definition of a paragraph is different.”

Sixteen years of role playing experience? What a load of horse shit. If you really have been doing role plays for that long, you most definitely should have a better grasp of how the rules of grammar apply.

I will be honest, I know even my own posts can get a little off on grammar, punctuation, and the like. But I don’t go about insulting people when they bring it to my attention.

I replied with a fact. a paragraph according to rules of the english language have no predetermined length. Paragraph lengths are set by individuals... and not all agree on a proper length. And Yes I have a lengthy experience roleplaying. Free form by forum, Table top by means of online virtual table tops and real table tops, and after the post you shared I did make longer posts. making sure to acknowledge everyone I was interacting with. Grammatical errors are common and not a big deal... professionals make them daily as well.. Hell grammatical error spelling punctuation even make it into actual published material even material used in schools. It does not take away from the detail and points made in a writing sample. and yes one tends to get aggressive when provoked no matter how small of a provocation it is it's called human nature. So back to the point i have been attempting to make in my last few posts.. We are here to have fun not be lectured and belittled. I am here for the purpose of this website... to roleplay and have fun... so leave the grammar nazi mannerisms to those who are perfect and take more time to triple check and quadruple check everything in every post that takes the fun out of it and makes it more like writing a college paper which we are not here to do end of story. So lets focus on having fun and not playing english lit professors.

It's not my intention to come off as rude to other players. Why in the hell would I want to piss off the people who could potentially become fantastic RP partners? Fright and Jaeger had problems with their posts and I didn't want them to show up as crazy, convoluted messes to everyone else. They had characters they respected enough to write entire blocks of text for, and I love that! I just want it to be spread out and managed neatly like a fine, first-class meal so we can all dig in and digest it properly before giving a good reply.

SSG420, you're right, we're here to have fun and RP. That's the purpose of this site, more or less. But I'm not belittling anyone or trying to shame anyone for their writing. I'm not saying "you type for shit m8" or any of that, I'm trying to get you to take a moment and think through your posts and manage their structure. Most of the posts that you've given might be goddamned fantastic and blow my socks off, but they're so screwed up and haphazardly written that it seems like they're building materials that have been strewn about in a hurricane. I want to decipher all this because I genuinely want to have a retired soldier of sorts in this RP, just like I want Cerebrate in here, but right now the only one who has the plans to your buildings, your posts, is you, and you aren't making any efforts to piece things together.

I didn't want to hear excuses because you're an adult and you should know better. But I'm not sending for the lynch mob for these mistakes! I could argue with you about 'human nature' and whatever, but that's not the point.

Sectional Moderator hopping by before it escalates further, please remember to be civil to one another and discuss things in a calm matter, thank you.

To avoid any further escalation or confrontation I will bow out of the roleplay, i've felt I was not wanted to be involved since the beginning so Ill save you all the trouble and just post myself out.

No offense, but I thought you said you were leaving?

Don’t get me wrong- that’s actually a pretty good idea. I just thought you were going to bow out.

Well from the looks of it... alot of people are already leaving from what I have read... so if this roleplay is going to survive someone is going to have to save it lol... and this is an OOC chat so... was just stating my thoughts on an idea that was mentioned. it might be a way to salvage the roleplay and evolve it into something better.
